It’s finally hitting the Mexican border market, smelling soft and delicate, just right for younger folks wanting to dive into perfumery. It does smell like fresh roses; I find it more similar to Lacoste Pink Sparkling due to the apple and marshmallow notes, but with a more premium feel.
I tested it with high hopes at Seville airport. Forget the marshmallow or creamy strawberry vibe. It’s super generic. It smells good, sure, but it’s just another perfume. They really aren’t putting enough effort into creating anything new lately. If you’re looking for strawberry, go for the Burberry Her line; if you want marshmallows, check out Paris Corner.
It leans heavily into My Devotion, which isn’t surprising since both are by Olivier Cresp. It’s decent, but neither disruptive nor new. Dylan Blush is a bit fresher, yet just like the other, it’s super floral, more peony than freesia. I don’t detect strawberry, apple, or tonka bean; the vanilla is even subtler than in My Devotion. It could be girly, but it has nothing to do with Yum Boujee marshmallow. It’s not ‘cute’; it’s floral and sharp. If you like florals, you’ll like it—it highlights the floral notes more than the sweetness. Suitable for all ages. If you already know My Devotion, there’s not much else to discover; its scarcity is pure marketing strategy.
Honestly, it smells like the new DG; I tested it today too. This one is more floral, maybe I’ll buy it because it’s not overwhelming, perfect for everyday wear. Nothing groundbreaking, it’s a girly and clean scent. It’s the only one from the Dylan line I actually like.
