It’s elegant, non-intrusive, and easy to wear in any situation. Its ace in the hole is that it’s very pleasant. Its flaw is that it doesn’t stand out. It’s designed to please everyone with a soft, cozy aroma, so it’s easy to overlook, but a trained nose won’t say much about it. It smells like warm, sweet soap. A bit too expensive for what it offers.
A colleague gifted me a sample of Loewe Solo. My first impression was sweat. Yes, SWEAT! An overly citrusy and acidic scent that my nose just didn’t like; I even smelled my opposite arm’s armpit to see if I smelled bad myself. Then, after a few minutes, it settled and became a clean, fresh fragrance that leaves a neat impression (setting aside the first few minutes). After a while, it becomes more powdery, maybe too much for me, but it maintains the citrus freshness. It’s not a bad scent, but it’s not for me. Ideal for the office if you’re looking for a clean, neat, and formal look.
Fantastic, noble, brutal, and elegant, very sexy. It has tremendous longevity, but a piece of advice: don’t overdo it. Women like to smell it close to the skin. It has good projection, but in an overdose, it loses its conquering magic. Without a doubt, one of Loewe’s best.
When I first encountered it, I had mixed feelings, but it has grown on me significantly. At first glance, I thought it would be generic and linear, but among ‘ordinary’ fragrances, it stands out for its personality: it evolves from fresh and light to dense, from acidic to slightly sweet and powdery, from spicy bitterness to clean and comforting, all without breaking the mold—very correct and balanced. One detail: sweat. At first, it scared me; it reminded me of childhood or puberty sweat, but it turns out to be extremely sexy and original. It’s that clean, sour sweat of slightly salty skin, a kind of virginal sexuality. An acidic, sour, spicy accord. It’s not the sweat of a spoiled grapefruit or spices in the armpit. It’s licking clean skin in the summer, skin you’d devour. The dry down isn’t oriental; the sweetness comes from woods and patchouli without losing the citrus. Curiously, the sillage stays fresh while close to the skin it smells sweeter and woodier. I think it’s a classic creation updated for today and the most versatile fragrance I own; I use it day and night, regardless of the situation or season. Light yet intense, with superb sillage and longevity, and I’ve never gotten scent fatigue.
I eventually had to buy it. After testing it several times and playing mouse-and-cat with similar scents, it inevitably ended up on my shelf. Sober, elegant, and balanced aroma. Good projection for an hour, sillage for two or three, and skin longevity of seven to eight hours. Quite good for my case, usable all year round and in almost any situation. Very versatile, ideal for ages 25 to 50. Shines at work or formal events. Beautiful bottle. It even comes with a mini inside. Nothing beats showering, shaving, using after-shave, and spraying on skin and clothes. Clean, fresh… Excellent.
If you look at the original posters, you expect something original and unconventional. Loewe Solo is fresh, citrusy, with subtle spices. It’s charismatic at first, but then you have to actively sniff to notice it; it becomes generic and unexciting. It’s fine for the office or casual use, but nothing more. The bottle makes you imagine something much grander than it actually is.
Someone gifted me a sample of this Loewe. My dad absolutely loved the smell; he was intrigued the next day because it was still noticeable, with citrus, green (mint) notes, and a touch of sweetness (cinnamon, vanilla). It’s low intensity and evolves into a woody, sweet scent with musk and a clean finish. It’s a hit for his taste; he was as happy as a kid with a new toy. The price left me speechless, but seeing his face made every penny worth it.
I tested it in-store, and although I was looking at the Cedar version, this one seemed rich and pure to me. However, it felt a bit muted, lacking brightness, and didn’t convince me despite liking the initial scent. In the end, I went with the Solo Platinum.
This is the only perfume I completely reject. I’ve never understood how anyone could like it; to me, it smells like a public restroom with cheap air freshener, a mix of excrement and chemicals. It’s never happened with any other scent, but this time it did. My partner bought it for me, and I held on for a few months hoping I’d get used to it, but it’s impossible.
I love the scent, though it might be a tad sweet for my taste. Loewe has a fragrance in my top 5, but this one just doesn’t work on my skin: zero performance. No projection, no sillage. I like the aroma, but on my body it lasts less than three hours even with an overdose. I wish I could say something positive out of respect for the brand, but it’s way too pricey for what it offers. Edit: I’m talking about a new 15ml sample. I remember it performed better before; I don’t know if they reformulated or if I just got unlucky with this batch.
Loewe Solo is already a classic, with the peculiarity that you keep coming back to it and fall in love with it as if it were the first time. It feels natural, goes with you without issues, and sits right in the middle between elegance and sporty; in this, Solo knows how to do it. Maybe for its price, it doesn’t achieve dizzying long-lasting sillage, but in intermediate seasons, it’s priceless. A paradigm of masculinity.
What does Loewe Solo EDT smell like? Like a creamy tangerine ice cream sundae or Fanta soda with a bit of guava. The tangerine is sweet and artificial. The spices prevent the sweetness from becoming cloying, though it still is. The perfume feels more balanced in the dry-down. It transforms into a spiced amber with green nuances, anise, and woody notes. You can also detect some cinnamon and vanilla. The creamy tangerine and synthetic guava are present throughout the fragrance’s life. It’s all at once: fruity, citrusy, herbal, spiced, floral, fresh, heavy, and slightly aquatic. In my opinion, it’s too complex for its own good. I’m still searching for a Loewe fragrance I like enough to buy a 100ml bottle. Any suggestions? Let me know in the comments. Review based on a purchased sample.
Its new flanker is already available: SOLO LOEWE MERCURIO in Eau de Parfum.
Among the versatile ones, my favorite. I love that subtle dusty sweet orange (but not too much, like ripe fruit), with occasional bitter and sour bursts, and fresh moments that hit like flashes. Longevity is not bad, though perhaps it lacks a bit of punch to be a complete powerhouse and considered the Habit Rouge of this century.
A true classic. It survives today despite the multitude of perfumes with new and original notes. Perfect for any season and especially for daytime. It lacks sensuality; it’s more of a traditional cordial aroma. Excellent for lovers of tradition and family life. It starts fresh with non-edible, refreshing oranges, quickly moving to a spiced scent with prominent nutmeg, warmth from ambered woods, and a very subtle lavender touch. It has good performance, fixation, and sillage. Loewe perfumes aren’t groundbreaking; they follow a classic path. Loewe Solo continues this trajectory. My father used it for a long time (he loved lavender scents), and it suited him perfectly for work in a suit and tie. The scent reminds me of offices, business visits, and meetings. It always works well in those settings. Classic, masculine, daytime, and ideal for older fathers. It has enough personality to be a signature scent.
Among the few Loewe fragrances I like, only this one and Agua de Loewe are worth it; they are the most decent the house offers, while the rest of the line disappointed me. Loewe Solo is very citrusy, but more orange and tangerine. I would buy Loewe Solo if it had better projection; that is its weak point.
I started testing it in stores, liked it more each time, and now I own it… I fall in love with it more every day. Projection is a bit low, around 2 hours, but skin longevity reaches up to 15 hours. It smells delicious; maybe it’s one of Loewe’s best. I consider it more for daytime and days that aren’t too cold; there are more potent fragrances to save for winter. However, Loewe 7 is not my favorite due to its incense, though it is also a good perfume.
I used it for a year, the 75ml version. To me, it smells like sour orange and nothing else, then shifts to an abstract odor reminiscent of goat urine, which is unpleasant. I used it only because I already owned it. Projection and longevity are low. That’s all I can say: I do not recommend it.
A citrusy and woody masculine scent, exquisite but intimate. The longevity is decent, but the sillage is minimal; after 3 hours, it’s barely detectable close to the skin. It reminds me of the vibe of Dolce & Gabbana’s ‘The One’—not the smell, but the feeling—ideal for close encounters and dates. While ‘Solo’ feels more masculine with a less obvious amber than ‘The One’, the note balance is magical. Among all the flankers, I stick with the original.
As my colleagues say, it’s a very personal fragrance. I find it quite acidic and complex, yet well-balanced. It smells great and unique, with that Terre d’Hermes Sugar Daddy vibe: elegant, opulent, and mature, perfect for ages 30 and up. It lasts about 6 hours on skin with moderate projection. If you like it, buy blind; it has already passed the test.
Sorry, very stately, not suitable for young people; it gives the impression of being a bit outdated. Another amber fragrance is Intuition by Lauder; I think it’s better executed than this Loewe.
Fragrance for men. For men. 40-year-old kids stay away. Young men of 25 with things clear, this is your perfume. Classic, beautiful, timeless. To give you an idea… do you like Dior Sauvage Elixir? Well, me too, PER-FU-MA-ZO, so friends, it has a family resemblance with this one that makes you suspect its parentage. Jokes aside, it’s as if the roughness of the Dior is slightly polished, its darkness clarified, and a light citrus touch is added. A citrus opening with lavender and pine; with that special guava note that makes it unique. Then arises a leather that’s nothing coarse but masculine with a plus of citrus that continues the tangerine from the beginning, and a very light vanilla note that gives it a sweetness suitable for diabetics. A fragrance with character and quality. Good performance.
They say Loewe has excellent fragrances, but this wasn’t my best choice. It’s just a sharp, hard-to-wear, very invasive, and retro scent—not for me… too bad that every time I see something from Loewe in a perfumerie, I go to another shelf; the bad memory of Solo remains.
I was gifted a sample or vial… I must say it’s not like what comes out now… it’s from the woody-citrus olfactive family, like Creed Original Vetiver and Maria Farina by Roger Gallet; ‘citrus-serious’. Not for the youth…
Not my style; I bought it as a collector’s piece for the good price, but I struggle to wear it. It’s old school, vintage—I perceive it as citrusy and sparkling, spicy, and woody. It’s for formal to semi-formal daytime occasions, nothing for extreme climates. Not recommended for very young people or fashion fragrance lovers, because there’s something else here. It’s a perfume that paints you with gray hair. I think the 125 ml will last forever because I enjoy using it little, but this is personal. Performance is more than acceptable.
Hello, here’s a 60-year-old woman reviewing this Loewe. I love woody scents; I grew up with them. I got a decant in my country from an expensive perfumerie; I applied it to the back of my wrists, and voila, love at first splash. After weeks, I could buy the bottle, which cost a bit more than the $60 online. It has fresh, woody, clean nuances and is exactly what I need to last 8 hours at the office. It reminds me of my youth love, Aliage by Estee Lauder, a discontinued classic. By the end of the day, I still smell its faint but persistent scent. Longevity on skin: 10 hours. Sillage is medium but gets compliments; people ask about it and are surprised it’s for men. For me, it’s unisex, but the woman who wears it must be confident and not mind the criticism.
A rich, fresh, citrusy, slightly fruity aroma, but it has a light trail that fades in under an hour; on dry skin, about 6-8 hours depending on pH. It’s a fragrance for mature men, 40+.
It’s a fragrance I like; it marked an inflection point in perfumery for its complexity between warmth and freshness, but something is missing, perhaps longevity.
Masculine, compliment-generator, for strong and confident people… A very spicy fragrance with a citrus opening and a marked evolution that ends in the comfort of musky woods, passing through a spicy sweetness wrapped in aldehydes—that note that drives me crazy in Chanel #22 and #5, and it’s there. Also, oakmoss is the star of this dance. Made in Spain and internationally renowned, you can’t settle for just a dose. 🕯️ 9/10.🔥
As soon as you spray it, you get citrus notes reminiscent of Nenuco but more aromatic, thanks to lavender, rosemary, and thyme, with a mentholated touch. Then it softens, and guava, cinnamon, anise, and nutmeg come in; a chorus of citrus, anise, and talc. Gradually, creamy woods and amber join in until the vibrancy fades, leaving only the musky touch. The guava lasts the whole time, perfectly blended. You don’t need to shower to wear it for any occasion or season; it’s a bit off with high heat but not bad—I use it in moderation. It’s a peculiar scent, familiar in Spain, with only clones available. It brings seriousness and maturity, even though 18-year-olds wear it; I’m 20 and have used it at parties, dates, and university. In short, classic, different, and pleasant.
I got it as a Christmas gift… I don’t know if it’s my skin or the reformulation, but it doesn’t last more than three hours on my skin and disappears completely. I’ve let it macerate, and it’s still the same. The scent is versatile and refined, perfect for the office but not for people under 30. It just doesn’t work for me, and since it doesn’t last, I’ll end up gifting it away.
Only Loewe is different, I think I’m the only one wearing it in my city. I love it: it has a fresh, aromatic, calm, and sophisticated performance. It maintains a personal bubble, which is exactly what I’m looking for. Nothing invasive. It’s versatile and masculine. On my skin, it lasts all day, and on clothes, it lingers until the next day.
The current formula doesn’t last or project; after the first spray, you have to press your nose against your skin to smell it. The original version was so rich. I compare its fruity/aldehydic opening to Minotauro by Paloma Picasso: a very clean, distinct, and masculine scent, rare because it’s neither fully sweet nor fresh. The fragrance tries to encompass all sensations from start to finish, making it feel non-evocative; the beginning and end feel the same with only subtle shifts. I recommend it for cold, cloudy, or rainy days where it performs better. In heat, it’s terrible and the scent becomes annoying.
When I first discovered it, it felt unique and very different from what I usually wore. I think the performance has declined over the years; the first bottle I owned was much more potent than today’s version, and it just doesn’t feel like the same quality anymore. Still, it’s delicious.
It smells like a cockroach infestation. Literally. It’s not that Loewe is trying to copy that scent; it’s that insecticide brands have copied this aroma to the point of saturation. It’s a shame.
It’s a light and pleasant fragrance, with no big pretensions, very much in the Loewe style. On my skin, both longevity and projection are extremely scarce.
I’ve had it for a year and still can’t get used to it. I give it chances after others, but nothing works. It smells old to me, even annoying if I spray too much. Unfortunately, I only wear it occasionally so I don’t waste my favorite perfumes.
I have a soft spot for it because it was one of the first to truly blow my mind. It seemed incredible, and although it’s not youthful, people loved it. It’s complex and hard to explain. The opening is citrus with a peel note, fresh but slightly bitter. Gradually, spices and the warmth of amber and wood emerge. Then the intensity fades. If this were 2015, I’d call it a beast in terms of sillage and longevity, but in 2025, it’s the shadow of what it once was. It projects for about 2 hours and lasts around 6 hours on skin, after which it’s barely noticeable on clothes. Plus, they diluted it and raised the price: 100ml cost €70 in 2022, now it’s €90. They also changed the bottle to an ugly one that doesn’t hold up well. I keep it as a gift, but I wouldn’t pay Loewe a single euro for it.
Only Loewe smells elegant, sober, and mature—very well-balanced for men with good taste. It’s an adult, refined profile, nothing strident. It stands out for its harmony rather than its power. The opening is citrus, fresh, and clean thanks to the lavender. You get a herbal, green mandarin with a floral touch of orange blossom and a sweet guava that softens without being too cloying. As it dries, that mandarin turns into a creamy orange; the blend gains body without losing freshness. The base features subtle woods and spices with a light amber nuance, nothing heavy. It’s wearable anytime, ideal as a signature scent due to its balance. It shines more in temperate climates; in cold weather it feels thin, and in intense heat it loses definition. I see myself wearing it in spring. It doesn’t project much—it’s a close-skin scent where you smell it only when you get close. On my skin, it lasts 5-6 hours, which is its only flaw considering the price. It makes me feel clean and elegant, and that’s what matters. A classic that deserves a spot in a quality collection.
It’s a solid, uncomplicated fragrance with no pretensions of grabbing attention. Sober, masculine, and elegant, with acceptable longevity. The projection is medium-low, but it becomes intense when you get close. I can’t pinpoint all the notes, but it starts fresh and citrusy; as it dries down, it leaves behind a non-sweet orange with woods and amber. I’m not sure if I’ll repurchase it because I want to explore other scents and, given my age, I don’t see myself wearing something this sober daily. Still, it’s good and has a place in my collection.
