Mixed feelings. The opening and dry down are worlds apart. Advice: don’t buy it blindly or right after testing it. The first time I was surprised: citrus, green, even bitter opening, with a petit grain that didn’t excite me. After 20-30 minutes, the acidity drops and the sweet floral rises. Here, orange blossom reigns, slightly lactonic, mixed with a cloud (or marshmallow) of vanilla. I don’t notice the resinous or spicy touch. Summary: I don’t like the opening, but the dry down does. I admit it’s nothing new. Regarding performance, I was a bit disappointed; I read incredible reviews about longevity and projection, but on me it lasts 6-8 hours with moderate projection only for the first 2 or 3 hours. Nothing extraordinary. Compared to ‘Love Don’t Be Shy’, they are similar but not identical; this one is less sweet and I think it has better performance for less price. I haven’t tried ‘Oriana’, but it seems to follow the same line. I’m eager to try ‘Neroli Blanc Intense’, which is also compared to it. I love the dry down, but nowadays I’m not sure if I’d buy it. There are many others on my wish list.
Sintra 🚲. Honestly, the name doesn’t evoke the city for me, but the brand surely chose it for a reason. To me, Sintra is a walk on a warm spring day. It’s one of those perfumes that feel like two bottles in one: it opens powerful, sharp, citrusy, and green, but it lasts only minutes. Fortunately! Because that’s not my favorite part. Instead, in the dry down 🥰, cinnamon appears with clouds of marshmallow and vanilla that make you want to bite. It’s not easy, but I’m glad to have it. People say it resembles Kilian’s Love, well, there’s a hint, but they aren’t the same; Kilian is sweeter. Watch out! It’s a bomb, it smells for miles.
It was on my list to try but it didn’t work for me 🙁 At first, it smelled more green and citrusy, but as it evolved, I couldn’t quite place the scent. I didn’t detect the ingredients, just a fruity aroma with something milky… but bad, like old milk in hot milk. Scent 5/10, originality 8/10.
I had it on my list but didn’t like it 🙁 It started green and citrusy, but as it evolved, I couldn’t quite identify anything. It seemed like fruit with milk… but bad, like old crack-ups in hot milk. Scent 5/10, originality 8/10.
What a bombshell perfume! Totally addictive, I love it. ☺️🙌🏻
💕💕💕💕 What a gorgeous perfume. Totally addictive. ☺️🙌🏻
Be careful with this perfume; at first, I didn’t get it because the opening smells so strongly of petit grain that it drowns out everything else. The dry-down (around 10 minutes) is quite sweet and powdery on my skin; I detect lots of jasmine, neroli, and vanilla, but that’s about it. I recommend testing it several times on your skin and waiting for the dry-down. It has a huge sillage and lasts about 6 hours.
Be careful! At first, the petit grain is so strong it drowns out everything else. After 10 minutes on my skin, it turns sweet and powdery with jasmine, neroli, and vanilla. Watch out, it has a massive trail and lasts about 6 hours. Best to test it multiple times on skin and wait for it to evolve.
Although it reminds me of Love Don’t Be Shy, the opening is much greener; for me, the neroli and petit grain notes make it perfect and very wearable on sunny days.
It has three distinct phases: an initial one lasting half an hour to an hour with very sweet and sour neroli that projects for kilometers. As it settles, the acidity drops and a nice orange blossom flower appears that blends with the gourmand and a milky cloud touch with vanilla. It’s good quality, it lasted until the next day. I see it as a citrus for all seasons except scorching summer, feminine and multifunctional. Due to its strong trail, I don’t recommend it for enclosed spaces without using it very sparingly. Just it won’t suit those who don’t like ethyl maltol. It’s in the line of Love Don’t Be Shy or Classique Cabaret, though with differences. If you already have one, it’s not worth buying. Personally, I’ve liked it a lot, though since I have Cabaret, I’ll wait for it to finish before deciding between Sintra and LDBS. Pleasant: 8/10 Interesting: 5/10 Versatile: 9/10 Original: 3/10

I bought a decant because I liked its similarity to Kilian’s LDBS and that profile. The opening had lots of bergamot and red fruits, I loved it, but the problem came when it dried down. As it settled, the resins dominated and it smelled like hot fruit juice (?), I don’t know how to explain it better. Once it smelled good, sweet and citrusy with a caramel touch; another time it smelled like stale juice. I’ve never experienced this before. Mixed feelings. Finally, I didn’t like how it settled on my skin. Lesson learned: buy decants and test on skin, because perfumes don’t suit everyone the same. What a pity, because the perfume itself I like.

As it settled, the resines dominated and gave a smell of hot fruit juice (?), I don’t know how to explain it better. Once it smelled good, sweet and citrusy with a caramelized touch… then I’d smell it again and that smell of stale juice would come back. This had never happened to me. Finally, I didn’t like how it sat on my skin; it didn’t agree with me. I learned a valuable lesson: buy decants and test on skin, because perfumes don’t suit everyone the same. What a pity, because the perfume itself I liked quite a bit.
Oops, I did it again! I’d say Britney… and here I am buying blindly again, letting myself be swept away. Thanks to the universe for the amazing seller who sent me a sample so I could smell it without opening… because it definitely DID NOT WORK FOR ME. The quality is excellent, no one disputes that. The scent isn’t conventional, so if you’re looking to stand out, you might like it, but on my skin, the green notes overpowered everything. The dry-down is wonderful, but it doesn’t surpass the opening and heart where the green and resinous notes are super potent. The dry-down is very similar to Love Don’t by Shy, with that green note present that fades at the end but lingers. Definitely not something to buy blindly. Now I’m thinking of switching because Sintra just isn’t for me 🙁
Oops, I did it again. I’d say it’s Britney style… and here I am buying blind again. Thanks to a great seller who sent me a sample to smell before opening, because I definitely did NOT like it. The quality is excellent, the scent is unconventional and might suit you if you want to stand out, but on my skin the green notes overpowered everything. The dry down is wonderful, but I can’t beat the opening and the intermediate phase where the green and resinous notes are very potent. It’s similar to Love Don’t Be Shy but with a present green note that fades as it dries but remains. Definitely don’t buy blind. Now I’m looking for what to swap this for because Sintra isn’t for me 🙁
It has nothing to do with Love Don’t Be Shy by Kilian. It’s more like Tilia by Antoine Barrios, with lots of neroli flower.
I’ve wanted it for years and it was worth it. It’s perfect for temperate climates; I use it all year round in the north. I fell in love with the memories: as a kid, I had a pack of gummies that smelled exactly like this: green citrus neroli with a sweet base and milky touch, it smells like gummies. That memory made me buy it. It’s playful, youthful, light but powerful, bubbly, and makes me smile. I don’t like the opening, but I adore the dry down. The magic of memories is the best part. **EDIT:** My opinion changed. Now it cloyes me way too much. It’s heavy for summer and in winter I don’t want a gummy smell. I don’t see a future for it and I’m getting annoyed. SELLING IT. If anyone wants it, message me. I ship. Also, it’s very feminine.
It’s different, suitable for all year if you control the sprays. It opens citrusy and green, but immediately an avalanche of neroli, orange blossom, vanilla, and sugar hits. All together: sweet, floral, and like hot milk, like a glass of milk with honey. It evolves into something more amber without losing the sweetness or the orange blossom. The milky note persists until 10 hours. Worth it for everything except heatwaves. In the cold, the trail is moderate but powerful; with body heat inside a jacket, it projects everywhere. It’s feminine, though I wear it well. It’s a sweet twist on classic neroli, with a cloyer turn. In short: an overdose of sugar and white flowers. Be careful, the opening is deceptive.
It took us a while to click, but now I truly love Sintra. It’s sweet, orange, caramelized, and milky. It opens green but evolves quickly to let the sweetness take the lead. Try it on skin before buying. At some point, it smells like dulce de leche and people give me crazy compliments. I call it the ‘Orange White Latte.’ It works great layered with another perfume.
⏱️Opens like the most authentic Roscón de Reyes. ⏱️At 19 minutes, the orange shines. ⏱️At 30 minutes, a mix of citrus, cinnamon, and caramel. ⏱️At 1h33, orange and caramel. ⏱️At 2h34, the orange blossom explodes, realistic and emotional. ⏱️At 4h30, subtle orange blossom. ⏱️At 5h45, orange blossom with vanilla. ⏱️At 8h15, it’s gone from my skin. 💨 Moderate projection.
I tried it out of curiosity and was pleasantly surprised. It opens green and citrusy with a touch of sweetness and cinnamon. As it dries, neroli takes over with a background of caramel and milk. It reminds me of other neroli scents but much more gourmand. Very feminine and original, but I save it for cold weather; it suffocates in the heat. Warning: it stains clothes red, so wear it on skin only.
It’s a total hit, but it fades in a breath. It doesn’t even last half an hour and I can’t smell it in the room anymore.
