Descripción
Khanjar by Omanluxury is an olfactive fragrance for men and women. Launched in 2020, this composition was created by Philippe Paparella-Paris and Muatasim Al Hinai. The top notes unfold with lavender, saffron, coriander, bergamot, davana, mandarin, and hyssop. The heart reveals a harmony of rose, cedar, vetiver, iris root, periwinkle, geranium, and nutmeg. The base settles on a complex foundation of oud wood, leather, cypriol, ambergris, praline, sandalwood, musk, white cuaba flower, tonka bean, styrax, patchouli, labdanum, and vanilla.

This scent takes me back to my years in Arabia. The saffron and coriander at the start remind me of the markets and exotic cuisine there. Then, the lily and sandalwood in the base bring a lot of serenity. It captures the essence and richness of those lands with every breath.
Not for everyone. Smells like a sweaty horse with manure, sprinkled with roses, all wrapped in spicy incense. The first hour is so potent you might want to evacuate the building. But twelve hours later, even after showering, it’s still there. Definitely try before you buy.
What a wonderful perfume: dense, dark, spicy, and green. The top notes are saffron, nutmeg, oud, leather, coriander, and resins. With all that, you can imagine this atomic bomb—heavy and almost gothic. It might be a bit challenging for some noses, especially those who enjoy fresh scents. But to my personal taste, it’s serious, elegant, and projects authority. As it dries down, it becomes sweeter and creamier thanks to the sandalwood and Tonka bean. The rest of the notes are just supporting players. It has plenty of character without being intrusive; it hits hard in the first hour, then settles into a warm personal bubble that makes you feel like the boss of your space. Lasts up to 4 hours on my skin. I love it, perfect for cold seasons or year-round except summer. Great for elegant, formal, or semi-formal occasions, leaning masculine and better suited for people over 30, not really for a 20 or 25-year-old. A tough fragrance. Another Indian oud in that milky-lactic-fecal vibe reminiscent of The Night. I’m a huge fan of this type of scent, but I have to say this oud just doesn’t quite fit for me; I appreciate it and understand its success, but it’s simply not for me. No sane person wants to smell that extreme. Still, it’s rich and mysterious, and could work great with layering. It suits all temperatures, even summer, though I prefer sweeter ouds in the heat. Technically flawless, but not for me. Excellent longevity, with a contained and controlled projection.
