First off, Memo Paris is an excellent house, though their prices are higher than the average niche. Russian Leather evokes extreme Russian winter, blending its forests, typical clothing, and wildlife. It’s immediately identifiable as a fougère due to its green, herbal, and classic elements. I imagine a white Russian desert entering a mysterious, lush forest, with exceptional quality wild leather. It’s very different from other Memo leathers, a great exploration of the fougère genre alongside leather. A fantastic fragrance for semi-formal moments with a lumberjack look. Performance: enormous, even overwhelming. 8/10.
Great perfume, like all Memo leathers. As the previous one said, it’s a distinct experience. Almost rural due to the green of its notes. I dare to say it’s a cold scent, unlike the animality of other leathers, but be careful with that. This is the opening; as it dries, the leather comes into its full splendor: refined, potent, and of high quality, amidst vegetal notes that make it exceptional and distinct. Definitely one of the most versatile Memo leathers. A cologne you must have. Great scent, incredible performance, and outstanding versatility. 10/10.

Finally enjoying another work from Memo Paris, experts at recreating landscapes in exquisite bottles. Russian Leather is clearly a fougère atmosphere, elegant, classy, and mature, yet versatile. While both sexes can wear it, the balance falls to the masculine side. The scent dances between faint, non-pungent wet woods, with cold, dark, and lush green tones, plus a slight mineral touch. It’s like being at twilight on a steep, snowy mountain, filled with centuries-old pines that barely let moonlight through, while a winter breeze brings the scent of ferns, mainly lavender and basil, giving it a slightly sweet and mentholated nuance. In the background, the leather is extremely subtle. I don’t notice many changes as it dries, but honestly, I don’t care; it’s a magnificent perfume that will definitely go on my shelf. Moderate projection and durability of about 7 to 8 hours.
Finally enjoying another work from Memo Paris, experts at recreating olfactory landscapes in their exquisite bottles. Russian Leather is an elegant fougère, classy and mature, yet versatile; while both genders can wear it, it leans more masculine. The scent dances between soft, non-pungent wet woods, with cold, dark, and lush green tones, plus a slight mineral touch like twilight on a snowy mountain filled with ancient pines under the moon, stirred by a winter breeze carrying the scent of ferns, lavender, and basil, giving it a slightly sweet and mentholated nuance. Leather appears in the background very subtly. I don’t notice major changes as it dries, but honestly, it doesn’t matter; it’s a magnificent perfume that will definitely go on my shelf. Moderate projection and lasts about 7 to 8 hours.
Smells like cemetery flowers in winter! Delicious, nostalgic, and with a melancholic touch that hooks you.
Memo’s Russian Leather is an olfactory journey that evolves over time. At first, I knew it alongside Amouage as a very rough leather, but it’s actually a fougère with incredible nuances. It evokes a cold, damp forest where you wrap yourself in a worn leather jacket full of stories, ready for the next adventure. Notes of basil, lavender, nutmeg, and woods, with a touch of mint that refreshes the perfectly crafted leather by Memo, create an interesting effect. As it dries, the camphorated accord rises, giving it that typical darkness. It’s not excessively green like others from the brand, but rather balanced, mature, and masculine (though everyone would wear it well). Ideal for temperate-cold climates and semi-formal looks, it takes you exactly where you want to go. Excellent scent, one of the best from the brand. Note: 8.5/10 Thanks to Maison Niche, Chile.
I’ve tried many fragrances for cold weather, and this Russian Leather is in my top 3, and I’m definitely going to buy the 75ml. The scent, contrary to the name and bottle, is incredibly soft, warm, and sweet. On my skin, it has a curious Iso E Super effect that appears and disappears suddenly, giving it a playful and mysterious touch. The sensation is a very subtle but present leather, where the other notes create the atmosphere of a super luxury car interior combined with high-end florals. Now, although the olfactory experience is incredible, we’re talking about almost 8000 MXN (400 USD) with projection and longevity similar to an EDT despite being an EDP. My wife couldn’t smell it after 4 hours (it was a day of high physical activity, Christmas shopping), although I highlight the quality of the ingredients and the satisfactory approach to the leather note: elegant but slightly dirty, with a romantic touch that positions it perfectly for couples (8.5/10).

Moving to the sensation, we encounter a very subtle but present leather, where the other notes serve to create a feeling of a super-luxury car interior combined with high-end floral fragrance. Now… while the olfactory experience was incredible, we’re talking about a perfume costing nearly 8,000 pesos (around $400) whose projection and longevity are similar to an EDT despite being an EDP. My wife couldn’t smell it after 4 hours (it was a day of high physical activity outdoors, Christmas shopping), though I highlight the quality of the ingredients and the satisfying way the leather note was handled—elegant yet slightly dirty, with a romantic touch that positions it perfectly for couples (8.5/10).
Memo Paris Russian Leather: After debating with my wife over the price of this fragrance, I had no choice but to invest in something she also desires. I perceive it as herbal and woody, a burst of forest air among shrubs, pine, and cedar… but there’s a wave of freshness like mint, sumptuously masculine, with a sublime yet subtle raw leather, as if hidden, always there, like a deer or a servant concealed in the underbrush where damp, cold earth is felt; the deer watches you, and you never see it, but you know it’s there. This perfume is the magic of observing with your nose. Not only does it observe, but it also evokes a sense of cold—only a forest at the foothills of a snowy mountain can offer that. The combination of lavender, mint, woods, and subtle leather creates this effect: a very masculine and classic impression, but not stuffy. It’s not for young men; it’s another level, for a man 30 and up. Every time I wear it, I discover more; it’s the pure masculinity of a virile, solitary logger in his cabin, which is why I think of the logo. An intriguing, mysterious aroma, rustic elegance, and ALPHA masculinity. Potent performance; I suggest not overusing it. I see it as versatile: cool climates, day, evening, night, and rain. It’s expensive but very beautiful. Without a doubt, it’s worth it. Scent: 10+1. Projection: good. Longevity: equally good. Price: Very high. Recommended.
Aromatic leather, fresh, fougère, thanks to notes of cypress, pine, basil, and lavender. I’d define it as a fragrance that feels fresh, but beneath it, leather pulses, giving it body and power. It has a mature vibe, more so than other scents from the brand in that style, like Irish Leather (which follows that same green leather wave).
I already tried a Round with my girlfriend, and given the price of this one, I had no choice but to invest in something she also wanted. I find it herbal and woody, like a forest burst through shrubs, pine, and cedar, but with a very masculine minty freshness wave. The leather is unrefined, sublime, and subtle, as if hidden; it’s like a deer or a servant hidden in the underbrush where wet, cold earth is noticeable. The deer watches you, and you don’t see it, but you know it’s there. It’s the magic of observing with your nose. Plus, it gives a sensation of cold; only a forest at the foothills of a snowy mountain can offer that. The mix of lavender, mint, woods, and subtle leather creates a masculine and classic impression, but not aristocratic. It’s not for young guys; it’s another level, for men 30 and up. Every time I use it, I discover more: it’s the pure masculinity of a virile, solitary lumberjack in his cabin, hence the logo. Intriguing aroma, mysterious, rustic elegance, and alpha masculinity. Potent performance, I suggest not overusing it. It’s versatile: fresh climates, evening, night, and rain. It’s expensive but very beautiful, without a doubt worth it. Aroma: 10+1. Projection and longevity are good. Price is very high. Recommended.
Memo Paris’s Russian Leather is a work of art that doesn’t have the hype of African or Sicilyan Leather, but in my opinion, it’s more versatile and rich. I found it on Jomashop for around $125 for 75ml, the price of many designer perfumes, but this is another level. It’s the kind of leather I like: it doesn’t just give the realistic shoebox leather smell, but goes beyond, with nuances that make it a delight. Extraordinary and delicious perfume, provokes you to keep smelling it and not stop. A highly recommended jewel.
Memo Paris’s Russian Leather is a work of art that lacks the hype of its African or Sicilian Leather siblings, but I find it more versatile and rich. I found it on Jomashop for about $125 for 75 ml—a price point common for designer perfumes—but this is another level. It’s the kind of leather I love: it doesn’t just give the realistic shoebox leather experience; it goes beyond that, offering nuances that make it a delight, an extraordinary and delicious perfume. It makes you keep coming back to smell it, a highly recommended gem.
I’ve been waiting days to share my thoughts on this fragrance. Thanks to a complimentary decant when I bought another Memo scent, I wore it four times and tracked its evolution all day. My verdict: it vibrates very similarly to Ralph Lauren’s Club Parfum. In fact, after wearing it, a friend asked if I was using that Ralph Lauren scent. The leather is blended throughout but isn’t the main focus. Performance: 6-7 hours on skin in spring or autumn (6-8 sprays), but be careful with extreme heat or cold, as performance drops by an hour. Projects well for the first hour at arm’s length. It’s best for formal or semi-formal situations. This is an EDP made for those who enjoy fougères or scents with a green, earthy profile that feels more realistic. In short, aside from Memo’s high-quality materials, most people won’t olfactorily distinguish between Memo’s Russian Leather and Ralph Lauren’s, so when buying, ask your wallet to decide. Finally, I recommend testing any Memo perfume thoroughly on skin, not just relying on how it smells on paper.
Okay, here’s my opinion based on a 10ml decant I used over several weeks. I didn’t dare buy the full bottle without trying it first, especially at this price point where you can’t afford to be wrong. Although I already own African Leather (atomic and long-lasting), the performance here is very poor—that’s the negative. The scent is pleasant; I don’t find a similarity to another fragrance or a clear leather vibe; it’s more of a Fougère with Arab touches. The cilantro, pine, woods, and basil are very subdued. It lasts about an hour and then drops off a cliff. Given the price and performance, I wouldn’t buy it.
Beware! The scent is amazing and I love the concept, but I don’t recommend buying it because the performance is terrible. It’s a bad joke; I wish I could get rid of it. After four hours, there’s not even a trace of skin left. I bought it because I had a clone of Perfume Parlour that’s a fantasy and lasts forever, thinking the original would have more nuances… Total mistake! Buy the clone, skip this one.
Beware, be careful. The scent is amazing and I love the concept, but I absolutely would not recommend buying it because you’ll spend a fortune on a perfume with zero longevity. It’s a bad joke; I wish I could go back and not have bought it. After four hours, there’s not even a skin scent left. I bought it because I own a clone of Perfume Parlour that’s a fantasy, lasts forever, and smells incredible. I thought, ‘the original must have more nuances.’ Wrong. Buy the clone, skip this one.
Not bad, but it’s not the Memo Paris scent I’d buy. I tried it in-store this afternoon: the first impression was pineapple with something floral, even though pineapple isn’t listed in the notes, I definitely smelled it on the dry down. At first, it seemed quite feminine, but as it dried, it leaned more masculine to me. In the dry down, I detect some basil, spices, and wood; I’m not sure exactly how that Russian leather smells (if it differs from what we’re used to), but I didn’t notice it at all. It wasn’t memorable at all, it’s not a scent that represents me, so I wouldn’t buy it.
Not bad, but it’s not the Memo Paris I’d choose. I tried it in-store and the first impression was pineapple with something floral (even though it’s not listed, I smelled it strongly right after spraying). At first, it seemed feminine, but as it dried down, it leaned more masculine. In the dry down, I noticed basil, spices, and wood, but I never detected that Russian leather note. It’s not memorable, it doesn’t represent me, so I wouldn’t buy it.
Reminds me of Highlands, but Botanicae’s version has that nard touch that makes it more unisex and lasts way longer. They share that wild green concept with suede undertones, but this one takes the crown for longevity.
Top-tier performance and perfect concentration, nothing to complain about. It’s a cold, brooding leather—herbal but not green—where conifer resins blend with woods and leather to last for hours. Just six sprays lasted until the next day. No sweetness, which is a huge plus. It pairs perfectly with a leather jacket, giving off a bold and elegant vibe. Every euro spent is worth it; it’s enjoyable and truly unique among leather scents. The listed notes are all there, but they combine to create a perfect whole.
