Descripción
Polo Blue Gold Blend by Ralph Lauren is a woody-spicy fragrance for men. Launched in 2019, this olfactory composition was created by perfumer Carlos Benaïm. The top notes unfold with ginger, citron, lime, grapefruit, pepper, and cardamom; the heart reveals melon, sage, lavender, and green apple; while the base notes settle with incense, amber, patchouli, and vetiver.

It doesn’t stray too far from the previous one, but it has its own charm. We’ll discuss its pros and cons later, but for now, I absolutely love this perfume.
Sounds synthetic and generic. The opening is like the original, but once it dries down, it smells like amber. It’s not bad, but it doesn’t stand out; it’s just another one of the crowd.
What a blast! Blend and Polo Blue EDP are the kings of the line. I was blown away by the scent—a exquisite mix of sage and smoked melon thanks to the incense. Simply amazing!
It’s the Polo Blue EDP with a spicy kick and a bit fresher. While the EDP is ideal for intense heat and formal situations, this Gold Blend isn’t so much for super-formal occasions since I find it even fresher. It’s for intense heat. The only downside is that it can smell like glass cleaner. Otherwise, it’s a very good fragrance with performance similar to the common EDP.
It doesn’t reach the quality of the big designer names; it’s a department store perfume with better performance standards, but it’s nothing special at any point. I discarded it: generic and boring.
It doesn’t reach the quality of the big designer brands. It’s a clothing store perfume with decent performance, but it never stands out. I ruled it out: it’s generic and boring.
What stands out is the incense; I liked it and bought it because of it, but it disappears in three strides. Then it smells good, but nothing remarkable. I didn’t wait to see how it developed (a rookie mistake). I bought it in Liverpool for $150. Great for a quick hello and goodbye. Now I keep it for occasional sniffles without spraying.
On paper, it looks generic and doesn’t stand out. On skin, especially how it floats in the air, it smells great. The problem is that it doesn’t project or last long. I’d recommend it for the scent, but not for the poor longevity.

Polo Blue Gold Blend is an aromatic woody fragrance that keeps the Polo Blue DNA. The opening is similar to the EDP: fresh, fruity with green touches, adding incense that brings it closer to Acqua di Gio Profumo. No need to describe it further for anyone who knows the family. I liked it more than Deep Blue, perhaps because it’s a bit more woody, although the performance is similar to the EDP, lasting a maximum of 6 or 7 hours. Its use is a bit more formal than Deep Blue, but it remains versatile and pleasant. If I had to choose, I’d think between this and the original EDT.
Polo Blue Gold Blend is aromatic and woody, keeping the line’s DNA intact. The opening matches the EDP: fresh, fruity, and green, with a hint of incense that brings it closer to Acqua di Gio Profumo (I always notice that connection). For anyone who knows the family, no further explanation is needed. I liked it more than Deep Blue, perhaps because it’s more woody. The longevity is similar to the EDP, around 6 or 7 hours (though the EDP lasted less last time). It’s a bit more formal than Deep Blue, but still versatile and pleasant. If I had to choose one, I’d think between this and the original EDT.
The melon is quite noticeable; it’s not as sticky as usual, but it is sweet, leaning more toward summery and aquatic memories. The incense and ginger that everyone talks about, I’d say are there to contrast and balance the melon, but I don’t feel them strongly, maybe just a very slight smokiness. Some acidic citrus nuances and herbal aromatics, all secondary to the melon. Unlike many, it smells confident on me. It seems to perform well but doesn’t truly wow me. Let’s just say it’s not bad.
Citrus fragrance with sweet touches. At first, you get strong notes of ginger, pepper, and lemon, then it evolves and the sweet notes appear: melon and green apple. I really like it; it has that Polo Blue EDP DNA but is sweeter, and I love the dry down. You should try it. It lasts about 5 hours; afterward, it’s close to the skin, requiring nose-to-skin contact, but not noticeable from a distance. If this brand made more long-lasting perfumes, it would always be my favorite, but the longevity and excessive price leave much to be desired.

I love it; it has that Polo Blue EDP DNA but sweeter, and the dry-down fascinates me. It lasts about 5 hours, after which it clings to the skin without being annoying. If they made longer-lasting scents, this would be my forever favorite, but the longevity and excessive price take points off.
Without a doubt, my favorite from the Polo Blue line: fresh and delicious. What a shame you can’t find it in stores anymore. I’d buy a couple of bottles just to have stock. Longevity and projection are good; it’s not a beast, but it still gets plenty of compliments.
I regret throwing it away; it’s brutal. It might be on par with, or even surpass, Acqua di Gio Profumo; it’s intoxicating in the best sense of the word.
It’s my crown jewel: a touch of incense dancing with melon and sage, absolutely delicious for spring and summer. The longevity is more than good, but the sad reality is that it’s no longer available.
