K Max by Natura is an aromatic woody fragrance for men. Launched in 2019, this composition was created by Verônica Kato, Nicolas Beaulieu, and Jean-Christophe Hérault. The top notes unfold with mint, black pepper, aquatic notes, citrus, ginger, pink pepper, grapefruit, and benzoin. The heart reveals leather, frankincense, juniper, lavender, violet, and cardamom, while the base notes settle on vetiver, Amber Xtreme, patchouli, cedar, musk, white birch, sandalwood, and cashmere.

Great perfume, perfect for all year round thanks to its versatility, though it doesn’t last quite as long as the K EDP.
Very good and recommended, smells great all year round because it’s versatile, although it doesn’t last as long as the K EDP.
So, what does this Natura aroma smell like? Well, Natura claims it has 9 notes, not more than 20, with two essential oils: patchouli and olibanum. The rest are black pepper, ginger, lavender, juniper, sandalwood, vetiver, and amber. I detect more citrus and aquatic notes. Upon spraying, the pepper is noticeable, but once it touches the skin, it disappears and smells fresh, perhaps due to mint. Then the bitter citrus accords emerge, and honestly, I didn’t like that combination; it felt heavy. I also sense that synthetic molecule that makes it smell weird, like the one in Sauvage (I think it’s Amber Xtreme). It’s woody, and over time, leather becomes noticeable, like old upholstery. It’s not a cold fougère like others; here in Mexico, it wasn’t marketed as a night scent, it seems more like a daytime fragrance, elegant but a bit stuffy. In my opinion, I didn’t like it. If these notes catch your attention, give it a try; it’s a strange aroma.
Another aromatic from Natura. What does it smell like? Well, to start, Natura only declares 9 notes, no more than 20, with two essential oils: POEJO and OLIBANO. The rest are black pepper, ginger, lavender, juniper, sandalwood, vetiver, and amber. Honestly, I feel more citrus notes with the aquatic vibe among them. Since you spray it, you feel the black pepper, but when it touches the skin, it disappears; immediately you feel a very fresh aromatic note, maybe the mint. Immediately those aquatic notes start to feel with well-bitter citrus accords; honestly, I don’t like that, it became a bad combination for me. I also feel it has that synthetic molecule that makes it smell super weird, just like the one in Sauvage (I want to think it’s Amber Xtreme) which is famous, it’s woody, and with minutes it becomes more woody. You can feel the leather, yes, it has leather, it reminds me a bit of leather tapestries. It’s not a cold aromatic like other fougères; this one isn’t. Here in Mexico, they didn’t sell it as a night fragrance; it has nothing of the night, it looks more like something to use during the day, but even so, it feels like an elegant aroma, a little powdery. In my opinion, I didn’t like it. If it’s important to try it if all these notes catch your attention, because it’s a somewhat strange aroma.
This is the second or third review I wrote a few months ago that I find deleted on Fragrantica, I don’t know why… There I said I had it shipped from Brazil expecting a Kaiak Parfum with incense, sweet, aquatic, warm incense; my imagination had a feast… However, “K Max” has nothing to do with its brother. Nothing, nothing. Kaiak Noite doesn’t resemble any other perfume from Natura or other houses for me. They’ve told me it has some vibe with Polo Blue Gold Blend, but honestly, I don’t know it. Kaiak Noite is quite, quite intense; I’d say it’s a very spicy woody scent, almost stinging the nose. But it’s not warm or very dark in my opinion – I say this because the bottle and name give the impression it could be dark and seductive. For me, it’s not so much of a seductive spirit as one to make a presence and draw attention, like “make way, I’ve arrived.” Its spices give me the impression of an almost cold perfume and it stays in clean accords with a slight citrus tone and maybe something mineral. But above all, it’s power… I wore it on the back of my left hand from 10 AM, and now it’s 7 PM; I applied two generous sprays. Gel alcohol, hand rubs, dishwashing in between, and it still feels perfect on the hand. It’s held up very well for 9 hours. It hasn’t varied much. I don’t know why they launch it in winter; I feel it’s more for spring or summer. I haven’t had the chance to have other men smell it to see what they think… Personally, it doesn’t drive me crazy, I find it a bit aggressive, but it is special and seems carefully crafted. We’ll have to see how it turns out on male skin. PD: poejo is a type of mint. PD 2: I don’t detect a leather note.
As an olfactory reference, it’s a darker Polo Blue Gold Blend, inviting exploration during the night. Ideal for outings on spring-summer nights.
Woody, slightly spicy, and balsamic, fresh on the opening due to mint and citrus. It’s an uncommon combination, difficult to understand at first but enjoyable from start to finish. Many notes are linked so they don’t feel separate; good quality, little sillage but very good projection. You apply it and it’s an aroma that comes and goes for about 8 hours; even on the skin, it’s still noticeable after 10, and by dawn the room smells like it was just applied, I imagine they achieve this with synthetic notes and incense. Scent: 8. Price: 9. Longevity: 9. Recommended: of course. Buy blindly: maybe not.
Fresh start with mint and citrus, then turns woody and balsamic. A rare blend that hooks you from start to finish. Lots of well-blended notes, not much sillage but good projection. Smells great for up to 8 hours, though closer to the skin it seems to last over 10. In the morning the room smells freshly sprayed, probably due to the synthetics and incense. Scent 8, price 9, longevity 9. Recommended, but buy blind with caution.
“Do not buy blindly” I bought this complex fragrance blindly that carries the identity of its other Kaiak flankers, but it could easily be another perfume entirely. Nothing fresh, citrus, or marine like its range. It’s known that Natura absorbed Avon, and curiously this perfume shares notes with Avon’s Segno Success. Testing them on each arm, they follow distinct paths but share the same heart notes (the house shares ingredients). Both are pleasant, but don’t expect the “disruptive” vibe promised in the hype. In fact, Segno Success is more economical and has better projection and longevity than this Natura perfume (I refuse to call it Kaiak; it’s any perfume other than a Kaiak). When it sheds the similarities, you perceive a strong green note and an undeclared moss that gives it a very intense smoky smell, not very pleasant (it expires in 2025, I think I got one in good condition). Throughout its evolution, there are leather and musk notes (the latter undeclared) that give it an animal tone, more autumn-winter than spring-summer. That’s why I don’t feel it’s a Kaiak flanker. In my opinion, it’s overpriced; there are better proposals and evolutions at the Mid Cost level. It’s not cheap; in Argentina, it’s above Low Cost, in the Mid Cost range, at the same price as 50ml designer presentations. I own the Kaiak K EDP and can attest it has more longevity and projection than this K Max or K Noite. The price ranges between $30 and $60, which under no circumstances is Low Cost worth risking a blind buy on. Very linear to the point that it disappointed me. Based on all the reviews, I thought I’d find something innovative. There are many comparisons with the K EDP where they label it as the “usual” scent and this one as “semi-exclusive,” which is not my take. According to my olfactory memory, there are plenty of fragrances that resemble it, and obviously, better evolved ones. My rating: 5/10. Final note edited 06/12/2021 after considerable usage time: Kaiak K and Kaiak Noite (or K Max) are Natura’s most overvalued perfumes. Honestly, this is the clear case of hype doing its job.
“Don’t buy blind.” I bought this complex fragrance blind, which seems to be the identity of other Kaiak perfumes, but it could easily be another scent. Nothing fresh, citrusy, or marine like its siblings. It’s known that Natura absorbed Avon, and curiously, it shares notes with Avon’s Segno Success. Both are pleasant, but don’t expect an olfactory revolution. In fact, Segno Success is cheaper and lasts longer than this. When moving away from the similarities, it smells of strong green moss and smoke, not very pleasant (it expires in 2025, maybe I got an old batch). It has undeclared leather and musk notes, giving it an animal tone, more autumn-winter than spring-summer. That’s why I don’t feel it’s a Kaiak flanker. In my view, it’s overrated; there are better options in Mid Cost. In Argentina, it costs between 30 and 60 dollars, nothing cheap for buying blind. It’s very linear and disappointed me. I thought it would be innovative, but there are many similar and better-evolved fragrances. My rating: 5/10. Edited on 12/06/2021 after extensive use: Kaiak K and Kaiak Noite are the most overrated Natura scents. It’s the clear case of when hype fails.
A masterpiece, worth every penny, definitely worth buying blind.
A marvel, economical for what it delivers, buy it blindly.
In my opinion, one of Natura’s best hits (along with H Verum and E. Elixir). It’s my signature scent. A total hit if you like 90s aromatic/aquatic fragrances. Reminiscent of Givenchy Pour Homme Blue Label and Acqua di Gio Profumo. In one word: it smells like a Negroni. I recommend trying the cocktail and you’ll understand the versatility. I love the dark mint opening (not sweet, not dry, but wet) combined with strong incense. It feels like high value. It’s quite versatile; depending on the sprays, it’s ideal for summer-winter or day-night, though with a more nocturnal and formal touch. But it can go to the other extreme. I have two in reserve and am looking for more (Natura is famous for discontinuing its best fragrances). It’s an all-rounder for any occasion except the gym and beach (where I feel it’s too much). Scent: 10/10. Longevity: 6-10 hrs (curiosity with Natura: at the end of the day, when I shower hot, the perfume revives as if it were the first spray of the morning). Sillage: moderate to strong.
In my opinion, one of Natura’s best hits (alongside H Verum and E. Elixir). It’s my go-to fragrance. If you love 90s aromatic/aquatic scents, this is a total win. Smells like a Negroni—that classic Italian cocktail that’s super versatile. I adore the dark mint opening (not sweet or dry, but wet) paired with strong incense. It feels luxurious. Super versatile, perfect for summer-winter or day-night, though with a slightly more nocturnal and formal vibe. I keep two in reserve because Natura tends to stop producing its best stuff. It’s for everything except the gym or beach (it smells too strong there). Scent: 10/10, longevity 6-10 hours (curiously, at the end of the day after a hot shower, it revives like it was just applied), moderate to strong sillage.
Pleasant surprise! Amid the boom of Arabic perfumes, Kaiak Noite (or K Max in Brazil) stands out with freshness and character, far from Kaiak’s classic DNA. The opening is intense and smoky; it can be shocking at first, but then it balances out and becomes more refined. As it evolves, subtle leather emerges, mixed with cedar and herbs. It’s fresh, rustic, and masculine—perfect for anyone seeking something different without too much sweetness. Not youthful; better for ages 35+. Its biggest plus is versatility; it works in hot climates without getting relegated like many gourmands. Verdict: Brazil still leads in freshness, while Arab perfumes dominate the sweet side. Score: 7/10. A great option if you’re looking for freshness with personality.
“Grata Sorpresa” Amid the boom of Arabic perfumes, Kaiak Noite (or K Max in Brazil) surprises with its freshness and character, straying from Kaiak’s classic DNA. The opening is intense, with a smoky citrus that can clash at first, but over time it balances out and gains a refined identity. As it evolves, subtle leather emerges, blending with cedar and herbs. It’s fresh, with a rustic and masculine touch, perfect for those looking for something different without falling into today’s oversaturated sweetness. I don’t see it as youthful, but rather for ages 35+. Its great advantage is versatility; it works well in warm climates without being relegated like many gourmands. In conclusion, Brazil still leads in freshness while Arabes dominate the sweet side. Rating: 7/10. An interesting alternative for those seeking freshness with personality.
KMax Natura is a standout piece: fresh yet with a spicy, resinous character that makes it sophisticated. Its performance is surprising, and its versatility makes it a good alternative to pricier fragrances like Armani AdG. It’s not for those seeking natural or minimalist scents and may not appeal to everyone, but it earned me plenty of compliments. I recommend buying it blindly if you can find it, because they’re quite hard to come by.
Bought it blindly out of curiosity to see how close it is to ADG’s Profumo, and honestly, I don’t get why it doesn’t have the hype it deserves. It’s exquisite, masculine, and yes, very similar to Profumo, but with clear differences in quality and sillage. For the price, it’s an excellent summer option. If it were an Arabic fragrance, it would surely be full of reviews.
