If someone is freaking out because they hate LDBS and thinks this is the same, let me tell you something: breathe, it’s not. I ordered it because I’m fascinated by whipped cream and bonbon notes, but I hadn’t realized there were so many comparisons, and when I noticed it, I felt overwhelmed. The truth is, if you open the bottle dry, it can feel similar, or the opening is similar, but fortunately that lasts only seconds. Starting from the fact that I hate LDBS; it seems like an exaggeration of white flowers that I can’t stand. Yes, I’m a fanatic for sweets, caramel, sugar, and vanilla, but I can literally imagine being in a funeral home full of white flower wreaths and they give you them with sugar to eat. For me, it’s not appetizing; it’s not gourmand, it’s not floral. It’s an abominable combination. ABSOLUTELY, I don’t perceive the famous fine sweets with exquisite flowers from the reviews. THE BEAUTIFUL AND IMPORTANT PART: ORIANA is divine. The opening is similar, but then you are wrapped in the depth of the bergamot; it reminds me of Christmas time, when my grandma prepared the Christmas Eve salad and made fresh lime slices. That sparkling, bitter lime note is what the bergamot, grapefruit, and tangerine provide. An elegant citrus that adds depth without overpowering the creaminess. As it dries, you perceive a highly powdery scent; it transports me to the bag of bonbons to the smell of the powder, not an annoying scent, hand in hand with the fine whipped cream type chantilly, the kind offered as cream, not whipped cream. I feel it powdery but like the talc of bonbons, not baby powder or grandma powder. If you want to compare it, I’d say it’s slightly similar to ‘Ari’ by Arina Grande, in the aspect that it’s citrus with a bonbon base, but let’s say this is the adult version, not for young girls (I think of myself at 19 years old and feel it wouldn’t be my hit). The difference in this relaxed comparison is that I don’t perceive the famous bonbons in Ari because for me it’s always citrus, and the citrus completely eats the bonbons; plus, in the original or inspiration, it fades quickly and the projection is light. If you like gourmand but are looking for something that doesn’t get too aggressive in the heat, this fragrance is a gem.

If you like your perfume to feel like a trail and leave a sillage, do not buy Oriana. I was obsessed with this fragrance for a while. Without having smelled it, I idealized it and thought it would be the perfume of the gods… but it wasn’t. In Argentina, buying a Marly is a luxury accessible only with lots of money or interest-free installment promotions; my case was the last one. Since it’s so expensive, it’s almost impossible to smell it without buying it, so I thought, ‘I work for this,’ and bought it blind. I haven’t even paid the first installment and already regretted such madness. But well, I’ll leave my catharsis so someone can save some pesos and share my experience. The scent is nice but that’s it. There’s nothing more. The musks are very noticeable with the cream or marshmallow (I still don’t know which gives the sweet base). In the opening, you barely feel the citrus; they don’t last even a breeze; the raspberries and blackcurrants are completely absent on my skin. I only smell the orange blossom mixed with musk, everything very subtle. I feel it like a sophisticated baby cologne, with better composition but no more than that. Is it pretty? Yes. Does it have sillage? Nothing. Longevity? Short and right on the skin. Disappointed is an understatement. I expected much more for the price. I think it’s overpriced.

Oriana… another girly, dreamy, and happy perfume that I adore. It’s beautiful, simply put. It smells silky, doll-like, very childish, yet ambiguous and challenging. I detect cream notes similar to a high-end expensive blush. It’s delicate, falsely demure, and scandalously girly. A bit pastry-like and at the same time a fantasy vanity, noticeable and subtle. It’s a vision of pink and fluffy tones. I don’t smell the blackcurrant or raspberry as such; there’s more of an ambrette, a bergamot, and a pastry… like wandering through an exclusive boutique with class. I really like it. It suits women of all ages with a touch of bohemian flair (those rich neighborhood girls from Salamanca with wild blonde hair and a beaded vest), and it works best in winter and Christmas parties. If a Sofia Coppola movie like Marie Antoinette smelled like something, it would undoubtedly be Oriana.

I’m excited to share my thoughts and I’m glad my untrained nose agrees with others. The first thing I noticed was creamy, powdery vanilla with orange blossom and orange peel. I didn’t detect raspberry or blackcurrant. When dry, it’s very similar to Zenz’s Love, Don’t Be Shy (which is said to be 95% identical). I compared them and they are similar, though Oriana is less sweet and LDBS by Zenz lasts longer and projects better. I love the scent and will use my 3ml, especially now that I’m looking for an original LDBS decant and plan to order Oriana by Zenz. But I would never buy the full bottle; the price wasn’t surprising, especially the longevity on damp skin (4-5 hours). It’s rich, sweet, and gourmand, worth it if you can afford it, though there are cheaper options with a similar experience.

Sorry for making you want something you already had, but if you’re like me and love sweet perfumes that stand out without losing elegance, you have to try Oriana. It smells like a jam of fine fruits reduced with citrus, whipped cream, and marshmallow, giving a light and airy sweetness. The orange blossom and ambrette musk add freshness and cleanliness, but that sweetness prevents it from smelling like a cologne or soap. At first, I thought it was just for me, but at an event, I was surprised by how it projects from the skin, standing out more than vanilla perfumes that tend to be denser. The longevity depends on the skin, but in my case, it lasts 7 or 8 hours without fail and gets me tons of compliments. It’s in my top 5 for all time.

It’s rare for them to say Oriana is similar to Love Don’t Be Shy. Yesterday I put one on each wrist, and while LDBS is intriguing because it evolves constantly, it doesn’t have the longevity or sillage of Oriana. I feel Oriana is infinitely superior; it has an incredible sillage and wonderful longevity. I’m a fan of Delina Exclusiv, and after that, Oriana comes next; they are amazing perfumes. I also have Reyna by Maison Alhambra, and yes, they are similar, but it lacks the subtlety and elegance of Oriana, and the longevity too. It’s well done, but it doesn’t meet expectations. To sum up, Oriana is an amazing perfume that, although copied, hasn’t been able to achieve it satisfactorily.

Oriana is a very rich and attractive fragrance, sweet and citrusy, offering a creamy, chewy, and youthful sensation thanks to the combination of tangerine, grapefruit, raspberry, whipped cream, and marshmallows. Its performance is quite decent, although when analyzing its quality-to-price ratio, it doesn’t seem like the best option in the market. I consider there are better alternatives, whether from the niche, designer, or Arabic markets, that offer a similar aromatic profile at a better price. However, that’s up to each user’s consideration. Despite this, I maintain that the scent of Oriana is very attractive and easy to like, which will surely attract compliments easily.

I’m used to strong scents, and this one doesn’t overwhelm anyone. It’s a floral citrus with a sweet touch; I don’t detect the whipped cream, but I do smell the musk. The blackcurrant comes through after a few minutes; it’s pleasant even if it’s not my style, I’m starting to like it. Smells like a doll, that teen magazine perfume you scrape off. It’s spring-like and fresh, not heavy. I don’t feel any sillage, so only those who get close will judge. It didn’t disappoint me; I expected something more gourmand, so I’ll use it for hot weather. From this brand, I’ll stick with Delina Exclusif, a wonderful scent I never get tired of using.

I was surprised when I smelled it. On the skin, it’s super citrusy—a mix of non-sweet fruits, more of a fresh, baby-like vibe. Nothing that says ‘wow’ at first. As it settles, the story changes and you notice the jasmine with a tiny, soft sweetness, just like the flower itself. I let it sit for a while and came back to smell it… Wow! Now it finally smells like what the bottle says. The base smells like pure powdered, sweet raspberry. The sweetness isn’t cloying. It’s an extremely changing perfume, the weirdest one I own, going from fresh to fully sweet. It’s peculiar, I like it, and I’d wear it without hesitation.
Maratenea
It’s a citrus-floral slightly fruity scent; I don’t feel it’s sweet per se. For me, it’s nothing new and didn’t captivate me; it was a disappointment after trying Valaya and Delina; I didn’t expect this from a niche perfume. I’ve also seen it in other reviews saying it’s similar to Love by She by Killian: the opening might remind you a little, but after 5 seconds, it takes a totally different direction. They share notes but in reality, they have nothing to do with each other; Killian is a better perfume and fragrance. Now that I’ve tried it, it reminds me of the style of Nina Ricci.

I love this house and I’m gradually buying the collection because the price is high. Since everyone who has bought from them has loved it, I decided to get this. Although I like the scent, I’d say I could perfectly live without it. If it were cheaper, I’d repurchase it, but in this case, I don’t think it’s necessary, just like with Delina’s scents, which I will definitely repurchase. Investing in niche is expensive unless you have extra money, and you have to choose well. Although I like it, it hasn’t fascinated me, nor does it have excessive longevity for its price.

I was intrigued by Memo’s Sintra and this was among the similar ones. Without access to a sample of Sintra, I bought Oriana. I ended up buying Sintra, which doesn’t turn out to be similar to Oriana; but the one that really fascinated me was Oriana. I can’t explain what it has, but the blend of fruity and musky notes is magnetic. I’m not into fruity or floral scents, but this is an exception. It has something that reminds me of Mancera’s Roses Vanille. It’s an ultra-feminine perfume for warm nights.

I wanted to describe it, but while smelling the dolls while writing, it vanished like the tears in the rain. How can a $260 perfume last only one or two hours? It’s a monumental scam. I know not all are beasts, but there’s a minimum standard expected. This should go to Consumer Protection. The scent is lovely, creamy bergamot, not overly sweet, smells like perfumed paper and luxury detergent. But it’s so light and volatile that it’s not worth it. For that money, you can buy wonders.
DianaL84
My only gripe is that it doesn’t last on me and projects little, but I buy it every time I finish a bottle. Precisely because it’s fleeting, I devour it; I love mixing it with Angel’s Share. I never thought something as simple as Oriana would make me this happy every time I wear it. Despite the whipped cream and marshmallows, it’s well-balanced and not intrusive. If price isn’t an issue and you want longevity, it’s a definite yes.
laila5840
With this fragrance, I discovered how rich marshmallow smells; pity that the citrus opening doesn’t last long. I bought it thinking the tangerine, grapefruit, and citrus aroma would last longer, but in reality, as it dries, it settles in a very rich way. Here I learned what marshmallow is; I didn’t find that note in any other perfume, and I love it in this one; I give it a 10 out of 10.

Total hit. Smells like royalty and is a blind buy safe bet. Sweet and gourmand, but not cloying or overwhelming, and zero sharpness. While it doesn’t have a huge sillage, it’s noticeable and lasts at least 12 hours. What I pick up most is whipped cream with raspberry and a hint of almond. If you’re looking for a cheap dupe that’s identical, try Reyna by Maison Alhambra.
Ynga
A long time ago I had Signorina Misteriosa by Salvatore Ferragamo and barely tried Oriana before remembering something; two days later my memory recalled it. Checking the notes, I realized they share blackcurrant and whipped cream. Neither has great longevity or projection, but of course, Oriana is more special. I’m surprised no one else notices this similarity.
TriniSpring
Literally smells like New Doll—that fresh toy skin scent, delicious. But disappointing: zero sillage, no personal bubble, and lasts about 4 hours on the skin. Way too expensive at $280 for no projection. I wouldn’t change anything except if they increased the sillage or released an intense version. Buy a dupe instead; Maison Alhambra and Lattafa have good ones.
Mitafragance
It smells good, but for the price, it feels a bit silly. It’s the kind of scent you’d find in Britney or Ariana perfumes, or fruity mists from Victoria’s Secret. I thought it would be my all-time favorite, but it didn’t last and lacked originality. Anything similar would replace it. The bottle is divine, but I didn’t get the spark I was hoping for with Oriana.
JuliaSam
Parfums de Marly completely disappointed me; they seem like copies of other perfumes. This one smells exactly like Kilian Love Don’t Be Shy, Athalia Can’t Stop Loving You, Meliora Amethyst, and Valaya Blue Talisman by Ex Nihilo. It’s unbelievable that with so much money, they don’t invent anything new and just recycle what already exists.
NCC
Olfactorily, I liked it more than Delina, but once it dries down, it’s very similar to Zara’s Velvet Shadow. Oriana has a delicate, delicious whipped cream touch. Given the price, I expected better longevity and sillage; unfortunately, on my skin, the Zara version lasts longer for a fraction of the cost.
Tatiecheverrip
It’s an aroma that, although it has notes suggesting a sweet gourmand, I perceive it as very fresh. It smells good and is feminine, but it didn’t kill me; however, it has a touch that reminds me of Metatitane (burning ointment here), probably due to that medicinal scent, so it didn’t fully convince me.
unaii_
It’s a super good perfume. In my opinion, it’s the best women’s PDM, better than Delina and by far. It’s delicious and at the same time a bit citrusy. When I saw the notes, I thought it would remind me of Love Don’t Be Shy by Kilian; not only does it not resemble it, but it surpasses it. I love it.
Angelina6872
Oh my god… Absolutely in love! It doesn’t matter if it’s original or not; that doesn’t influence my purchase. All that matters is that it makes me fall in love when I smell it on my skin, and this one did. Fascinating aroma, long-lasting, and with great sillage. I bought it and will buy it again.
Karenzita
It’s my favorite perfume; it smells youthful yet elegant. On hot days, the citrus and fruity notes really shine. It lasts well on my skin and up to two days on clothes. The projection is low, very subtle and delicate. The price is excessive, especially in Chile where it costs over 200k pesos.
Lady Spritz
My favorite from Parfums de Marly. I won’t deny that it smells exactly like Lush’s American Cream and didn’t add anything new for me, but I buy perfumes from equivalence houses looking for the most exact one, and more or less I get by. I love it for warm weather.
teteboeta
At first, it smells very much like LOVE DON’T BE SHY, but less loud. Once it dries down, it keeps some of that essence but softer, with some flashes of DELINA. It’s more powdery and creamy, a delight with excellent longevity. I liked it.
Davinka
The top note is candied orange. Then it becomes softer and more powdery. It reminds me a lot of Dolce & Gabbana’s Devotion, probably due to the orange note. It’s sweet and soft. I think it’s worth having in the collection.
marpe77
Smells like tangerine, not bad, but it’s not my style for all-day wear. Soft and suitable for everyone, though nothing special. Once it dries down, the bergamot takes over and reminds me of ‘Aire de Sevilla Primavera’.
MasamiMerz
I don’t think it’s totally feminine; to my taste, it’s unisex. It’s very versatile and excellent for any season, except extreme heat, because, although it’s not very sweet, it can become heavy in much heat.
