Cassili by Parfums de Marly

Hi! First review here. I love strong, sweet rose perfumes. My first Marly was Delina Exclusif, a bomb of roses, super sweet and long-lasting. Then came Valaya Exclusif… impossible to explain what it does to me. I bought both blind, just like Cassili. It arrived today, and honestly, it’s nothing special… very soft, skin-scent from the start, zero sillage and projection. I expected more given the price and my experiences with the other two Marlys. I wouldn’t buy it again.

The first Marly I tried was Delina; I liked it… different, classic, feminine, and elegant. Then I tried Delina Exclusif and I was blown away! I loved it; it’s my favorite Marly. Second place goes to Cassili: a feminine scent with a sweet peach touch that I know isn’t in the notes but I can definitely feel. It’s elegant, opulent, striking… different from other perfumes. It lasts a long time on my skin. I need to get another large decant of this wonder.

Although it’s not as niche in terms of scent, it definitely is in quality. As others have said, the fruity part for me is a sweet, velvety peach, unlisted but obvious. To me, it doesn’t smell synthetic, and throughout almost its entire evolution, it has a character reminiscent of fruit smoothies, even though it’s not lactonic. It blends with tropical florals, musk, and sandalwood, resulting in something exquisite. I see it as versatile and ultra-feminine, ideal for spring-summer but wearable all year round. It’s not groundbreaking, but it’s a special perfume. On my skin, it lasts about 8 hours with moderate but wide projection and sillage at the start. I’m thrilled to have it.

I was about to order it blind, torn between Meliora and Cassili, and I’m glad I ended up choosing Meliora. When I tried Cassili at El Corte Inglés twice, I threw the paper away immediately: the opening seemed super artificial. I didn’t want to wait for it to settle because that synthetic, terrible smell gave me a migraine. But as I always say, it’s all in the taste.

So here was all the art Oriana lacked, ‘performing’ in Cassili. Good longevity, acceptable sillage, but the scent leaves me somewhat indifferent. Simply pleasant. You’ll smell good, and it has the advantage that, while it resembles many mall perfumes, Cassili doesn’t have that ‘perfume’ vibe; it’s much more subtle and elegant than any Lancôme, Armani, or Valentino. It has a certain Narciso Rodríguez air thanks to that powerful musk cloud. The creamy tropical frangipani and plum are also there. I imagine the peach note is just my nose being sugested by the bottle’s color. A pretty perfume, absolutely ridiculous price, but at least it doesn’t abandon you after half an hour like that joke called Oriana.

I can’t justify the purchase because it smells almost exactly like Givenchy’s Irresistible.

As I said, Oriana is overrated, and this fragrance is exquisite. After the reality check Oriana gave me, I came here with no expectations and was pleasantly surprised. It’s such a unique scent I can only call a delight. Soft, fine, creamy flowers with a fruit cocktail where I’m sure there’s peach, even if it’s not listed. It feels great: mimosa with peach and a vanilla base… pure bliss! Lasting power is very good (over 6 hours). The sillage is moderate, noticeable but not overwhelming. Very pleasant; I feel like a creamy fruit dessert, absolutely delicious.

Not bad, it’s a delight! My favorite after Delina Exclusif. Sweet and fruity but subtle. I love this house’s balance. People say it smells like Irresistible, but it’s nothing like it: here it’s much more delicate and pleasant, not a synthetic fruit bomb. It’s a subtle, enchanting, super silky and creamy scent with quality. I can’t stop smelling it. I’d love to try it on skin; I tested it dry.

To start, I don’t find it similar to Givenchy’s Irresistible. I’ll clarify that the opening is quite artificial and I don’t like it as much as the dry down, but that’s only for the first 5 minutes. Finally, I love this perfume; I’ve never smelled anything like it before. Although it doesn’t have the classic power of a Delina or Baccarat, it’s not ultra-original and I don’t associate it with anything else. I find it very comfortable; I can wear it all day. It makes me happy, it’s truly delicious 🤍

It’s very delicate and youthful. The peach yogurt opening is a bit synthetic, and when I tested it in cool weather, it didn’t impress me at all; I wondered where the frangipani was since that’s why I wanted it. Well, now that it’s warmer, it feels exquisite, projects well, and lasts a long time; I can smell that mix of frangipani and mimosa with all the creaminess of sandalwood and vanilla. Definitely appropriate for spring and summer.

I find it pleasant, relaxing, and comfortable. In particular, I apply it to my pillow; I love smelling it when I go to sleep.

My aunt ordered a Discovery Set from the Parfums de Marly website and she didn’t like this one at all; she found it synthetic, so I kept it. Cassili opens with a fresh, slightly acidic note. The blend makes it smell like peach. It’s tropical and fruity but creamy and soft. The floral part is very well balanced, and I don’t perceive one note standing out. I don’t see it as sexy as Delina Exclusif, nor elegant as Delina. Cassili is light, the sweet and reserved sister of them. I don’t like the Delinas because I can’t tolerate rose, whereas Cassili might end up pleasing me; I perceive the floral bouquet but the fruity combo also feels present, and together they create a beautiful scent. It’s a youthful, carefree, delicate, feminine, luminous, and happy aroma. There are many floral-fruity scents, I don’t see it as very unique or different, but it has something special. The longevity is moderate, about 3 hours, and the sillage is very low. I wouldn’t buy it because it’s not my sweet style and the performance is poor for such an expensive perfume, but I’ll use this decant this spring because it’s pleasant.

A delicious peach!!! (it’s not mentioned in the notes, but it clearly smells like that to me). Very pleasant fruity-floral and vanilla-scented, it’s for those who like sweet things. Unfortunately, from my discovery kit of this house, this is another one that doesn’t work on my skin: after a couple of hours, it disappears. I think it’s suitable for daily use in any season. I don’t think I’ll buy it because its poor performance leaves a bad quality-to-price ratio, and besides, it’s a fairly used composition in perfumery, from celebrity to niche; in fact, right now I’m testing it side-by-side with Paris Hilton Bling Edition, and it’s quite similar.

Delicious! I have a decant from the Marly Discovery Kit I bought on the official website, and it lasts forever because it’s so strong that two sprays are enough, or it will overwhelm you. To me, it smells heavily of peach with a hint of yogurt, a milky touch. It fascinates me just as much as Delina.
