Starts interesting with bergamot and heliotrope—floral but with a medium-heavy trail (over-applied). Reminded me a bit of Tom Ford Noir EDP. At 2 hours, bitter almond takes over and florals fade. By 8 hours, sandalwood and vanilla; at 11 hours, amber vanilla, lasting until 12. Among my Parfums de Marly samples, this was the most interesting due to rare notes like heliotrope and almond. The drydown is good but not innovative. The floral aspect gives it an autumn freshness rather than winter, a bit heavy for evening. With a generous dose, the trail was intense for a couple of hours, then moderate until 12.

Disappointing. I don’t feel it even when I apply a lot. Given the price and expert reviews, I expected more. I’ll try it again to see if I’d recommend buying it.

  • Some say it smells like sweat. Good grief, I wish my sweat smelled like that. Then I wouldn’t buy another single perfume. The opening is a soft bergamot, nothing intrusive, gives a fresh feeling, but the bitter almond kicks in quickly, very subtle, and it starts sweetening. Middle phase has no development, and it ends with amber. It’s a scent I like, but longevity and trail leave a lot to be desired. With more strength and projection, it would be in my top 3.

  • A client gifted this to me and I’ve been wearing it. I accepted it out of politeness, but honestly, it’s not a pleasant scent for me. It just doesn’t match my chemistry. I’ll be selling it soon. Don’t buy it blind, and definitely don’t gift it.

  • Dominated by almond and vanilla. At first it seems citrus-woody (bergamot and sandalwood), lasts a few seconds, then turns into something linear with almond and vanilla in the base. Moderate-low trail, lasted 6 hours in air and another 6 on clothes. The best part was that initial citrus-woody opening, but the second stage is also fine. Reminds me of a Yves Rocher splash from the 90s, square bottle with seeds, slightly ambered, and very almond-forward; it lasted 12 hours and projected four times more than this. Suitable for almost any weather (except extreme heat), versatile for outdoors or formal events, ideal from age 25. Try before you buy: average longevity, weak trail, good scent but not distinctive or opulent. At $130, there are better options.

Theoretically it’s for men, but they don’t even try making it unisex (and since it’s niche, they should). I use it and love it. The citrus opening is brutal, it sticks to the skin, and the floral part is perfect: neither heavy nor cloying.

I bought 8ml of this fragrance and what can I say??? It’s Armaf Craze, say what you want. The sample smelled amazing: almond, vanilla, lavender cleanliness, I love it. But I have to say it’s identical to Craze: sweet, clean, and lasts the same. Maybe this one stays closer to the skin longer while Armaf disappears. I apologize if I was heavy-handed with the comparison, but I had to mention it.

  • At first, I couldn’t see the birds. Maybe the slightly confusing and strong opening didn’t captivate me, but over time you get attached to the scent, which is bright and clean. It has great performance, trail, and longevity. At the start, you notice a lot of almond and vanilla; the almond isn’t soft, it’s powerful, balanced by the vanilla, jasmine, and in the base, lavender. That’s what you notice at the beginning and in the first phase. After a few hours, the scent becomes sweeter and more linear, but it always leaves you smelling good, distinguished, and jovial. Recommended for all ages from 25, it will never let you down. It’s a woman’s scent due to the white floral touch that makes it attractive, but not mysterious. My final rating: 8/10.

  • Not worth it. If you like this type of scent, you have Armaf Craze, which is longer-lasting and cheaper.

I had read many good reviews and decided to buy it blind. From the first spray, it feels like a high-end product with great quality; the nose receives a mix of vanilla and almonds, slightly spiced, typical of an oriental. The opening might seem unisex, leaning feminine, but in the dry down lies the magic: it doesn’t lose the vanilla sweetness, it becomes more masculine, and although it’s sweet, it’s so well-balanced that it’s not offensive even if over-applied. On my skin it lasts a long time and projects well. I recommend it for night wear and for young people over 18.

  • Yes, it resembles Armaf Craze and Hypnotic Poison, but unfortunately on my skin it has low intensity and longevity, so in terms of value for money, I’d stick with the Armaf. The Dior one is mid-range between the two in price, but its value for money is poor. It wins only because I’m a woman and it has a slight creamier, sweeter touch that makes me like it a bit more.

  • At 25, it’s perhaps one of the best and most balanced scents I’ve used, definitely my signature. I’d recommend no more than 3 sprays in the summer. The quality is incredible, and maybe I’m so charmed because it was my bridge from designer to niche, but it’s undoubtedly an excellent purchase. The opening is wonderful like almost all, but what satisfied me is that Pegasus accompanied me while cooking, having lunch, drinking tea, and even sleeping (skin contact). It has beastly longevity. 100% satisfied with this Marly masterpiece.

  • No vanilla, no nut, no almond, no heliotrope. It’s just another men’s perfume; it smells like Axe deodorant, lavender, amber, and a little cumin. Total disappointment, plus the longevity is terrible: 30 minutes on skin and 2 hours on clothes.

  • @elcholo tried to guess where you got the bottle, because saying it doesn’t last or that you don’t get any almond notes is weird. It’s bitter almonds wrapped in creamy sandalwood, with a touch of cumin and sweet vanilla, from start to finish. The dry down lasts way longer than the 2h on clothes or 30m on skin you mentioned; it’s easily noticeable after 8 hours, and the projection is strong for the first hour and a half. People talk a lot about Layton and Herod, but Pegasus has a lot to say. I haven’t tried Armaf Craze or Vibrant Leather Platinum, but I did try Hypnotic Poison, one of my favorite ‘feminine’ scents that I wear myself. They share that bitter almond and vanilla tone, a very addictive and attractive smell. I have few Marly scents left to try, and they all have something: they aren’t groundbreaking, but they’re made to be liked, and that makes them perfect.

  • Unisex and versatile aroma with moderate performance. Combines sweet vanilla, creamy and bitter almonds, and aromatic lavender. I feel the notes are separated and lack harmony; that sweet-bitter contrast bothers me. If it were more gourmand, it would be better. Anyway, it smells rich and works anywhere. I’m sticking with Exclusif, which has better balance.

  • I finished the sample, and while it didn’t excite me, it’s interesting. It has two facets: the bitter, greenish almond note, which is quite shocking, and the sweet vanilla. At first, they’re separate, but as it develops, they blend into the ‘Pegasus’ accord, where the almond’s roughness still dominates. It feels androgynous; I don’t see myself wearing it. Of the Marly scents, this is the one I like least, though I love the bottle. EDIT: I read it’s been reformulated, but my sample holds up quite well. Be careful with the sprays; if you’re timid, use one or two, or you’ll overdo it. If you want decent performance with few sprays, look into Montale.

Pegasus PDM is gorgeous and the longevity is a beast: 48 hours on my skin. I never imagined it would last that long. Scent: 9/10, Longevity: 20/10, Projection: 8/10. PDM’s quality is incredible.

  • jerry7474

Pegasus PDM represents freedom and beauty, like the white horse of mythology. It’s neither too fresh nor too sweet, a perfect balance between white light and exquisite sweetness. If clouds had a scent, this would be it: celestial, without malice, pure goodness. Outstanding, soft, and subtle. Perfect for any gender. Performance is good, versatile for any season. Scent: 9.0, Projection: 2h, Longevity: 8h. Recommended.

  • jerry7474

Pegasus PDM: As the name and bottle suggest, it’s freedom, beauty, and transparency. Imagine Perseus’s white horse soaring through the sky; this scent is that. Wearing it feels like traveling to a magical place that envelops you. It’s neither too fresh nor too sweet, but a perfect balance of white light and a soft, exquisite sweetness. If clouds had a scent, this would be it: a celestial aroma, without malice or darkness, expressing goodness and clarity. It’s a masterpiece—soft, subtle, and beautiful. In one word: ‘Radiant’ or ‘Luminous.’ Unisex, versatile, and perfect for any season. Scent: 9.0. Projection: 2h. Longevity: 8h. Recommended.

  • Pegasus is unusual and won’t appeal to everyone, but it smells spectacular. I always wonder how to explain it: it’s sweet yet fresh, like creamy vanilla with a cold metallic edge. It’s like spreading almond cream on a sword. I fell in love at first sight; it’s my signature now. Performance is acceptable—not a beast, but it lasts for a nice day. It seems invisible but is there, catching on small breezes. If you don’t want to spend a fortune, try the Maison Alhambra ‘Perseus’ alternative; it’s 98% similar and costs less than a fifth.

  • What can you say about this fragrance bomb? Pegasus is unique; some might not like it, but it smells spectacular. When people ask what it smells like, I can’t quite explain it—it’s sweet yet fresh. How? It smells like creamy, delicate vanilla with a metallic, cold base. It’s like spreading vanilla and almond cream on a sword xD. I fell in love with it at first sniff. Even though it’s pricey, I managed to grab a decant. It’s now my signature scent; that’s the vibe I want to project. Performance is acceptable; it’s not a beast or has a huge trail, but it lasts long enough for an energetic day. It’s one of those scents that seem invisible but are there, reaching out in little breezes with every movement. If you want to try it without spending a fortune, I recommend the Maison Alhambra ‘Perseus’ alternative. I own it too. It’s well-made, a bit stronger and more synthetic, but it’s 98% similar and costs less than 1/5 of the French original…

  • antdreamer444

I bought a decant out of curiosity. Even with my basic taste, the scent is very unique. I wouldn’t wear it with a suit because it’s too elegant, but the essence and drydown are top-notch.

  • If you’re on a budget, go for a dupe, but I admit this one is superior. If you can afford it, go for it.

  • OdiseoBcn

Elegant and classic, blending almonds, vanilla, and woods for a luxurious, mature touch. Projection and longevity are good, though it’s a niche price. Try it before buying.

  • emilio_24

It’s not gourmand; the vanilla is barely noticeable. It smells like bitter almond with a metallic base and touches of sandalwood. In my mind, it’s the color of the bottle but with lots of bitter almond. It’s also a bit dusty. For me, it’s overrated; it’s not a fragrance I enjoy. It’s very masculine and elegant. Good performance but nothing crazy. It’s not bad… but I wouldn’t buy it. The 10ml decant lasted me a long time, and that’s a sign I wouldn’t purchase the full bottle.

  • At first, smelling the bottle, I didn’t expect anything, but once I applied it to my skin, it was a delight. It has a perfect balance between the bergamot and the sweet notes of the base. It smells expensive, elegant, sexy, warm, and sweet. It’s totally worth it.

  • Of all the Marly perfumes, this is the one I liked the least. It’s not bad, but it feels very feminine to me.

  • beto_ruiz

Marly’s Pegasus is oriental and spicy, warm and sweet with vanilla, almond, and a dusty floral touch. Its evolution is linear; it smells the same at the beginning as it does at the end. It has body and intensity. Ideal for autumn and winter, day or night, or for formal events and parties. Longevity is superior to 10 hours on me, with a potent trail for the first two hours and then regular. The scent is attractive; the spices, almond, and vanilla dominate, and its sweetness makes it unisex. High price as is normal in niche, but with great performance.

  • I don’t know why this page doesn’t allow comparing perfumes from specific brands. To me, this smells a lot like Emper’s Stallion 53 and Santal 33 when dry, but when I try to add it, it blocks me. As for the scent… it deserves a chance because at first it’s very loud, but then you get used to it. It starts citrusy and sweet, then turns fresh and spicy. For me, it’s cloying; I don’t use it much, it’s more for cold weather. Medium longevity but a brutal trail. I compared Pegasus and Galatea from Maison Alhambra a while ago, and almost no one noticed a difference; for me, they’re the same, but this one performs much better. Don’t buy without trying! 🕉️🕉️🕉️

  • It opens majestically with heliotrope and dries down to a milky almond finish. Try it before buying because if the flowers rot on your skin, the scent becomes harsh. It’s the great forgotten gem of the Marly house.

  • This perfume is an enigma. Its opening and base are very different, and perhaps that’s where the uniqueness lies. Although some say it has a feminine touch, it’s not; it’s a sumptuously modern and unique men’s perfume where style and irreverent personality blend together.

  • peterMartinez

I have a lot of affection for this perfume; it was the fourth one to join my collection and it surprised me greatly. The almond note is very prominent, with a spicy and warm touch. It would work during the day in open spaces, but its true stage is night, and it benefits greatly from cool weather rather than cold. It’s not a toy perfume; it’s a bit more serious, yet it’s scandalous because its trail is incredible; the scent sticks easily to anyone who touches you. That vanilla, spices, lavender, and especially that rich, star almond make it perfect for me. It’s the undervalued gem of Marly. I recommend trying it first because it’s a super unique scent—no one has been able to replicate that DNA, and I appreciate that. It’s made me stand out at formal and semi-formal events. Highly recommended.

  • It opens sweet with that typical creamy almond and an elegant vanilla base. It doesn’t smell synthetic or cheap; you can tell the materials are high quality. However, it didn’t particularly interest or impress me; it’s a fairly linear sweet scent that doesn’t evolve much over time. Projection was good for the first hour, but the sillage dropped progressively until it stayed close to the skin after 4-5 hours. The longevity is decent but nothing extraordinary for the price. It’s not a bad perfume—it’s tidy, elegant, and easy to wear—but it didn’t generate any excitement or desire to own a full bottle. I also don’t see it as revolutionary for the brand. In short: a correct and pleasant fragrance, but in my case, it doesn’t connect enough to justify the over 200€ bottle price. Final rating: 3.7/5
