A thought to ponder: ‘let the buzz not create anxiety.’ G&BA seeks to abstract the mind in strange yet common environments, much like Tauer or Zoologist. I used to doubt they were niche and thought they smelled designer, but the ‘PRM’ advertising made me feel anxious about not knowing the songs of the era. This perfume solves that with magnificence. What’s special about Australian Pacific moss if it’s the same as in Chiapas? The ‘buzzers’ said it smelled like Light Blue or Versace Man, but the antidote is the decant. I compare it to Acqua di Parma Mediterraneo or Atelier Cologne: it’s Mediterranean but neither aquatic nor marine. It has its own style! It’s the sexiest Mediterranean fougère I’ve ever smelled. The quality isn’t designer or wannabe; the peak was buried, and now I’ve found it. On my skin, it has lots of life and sillage; I’ve used the whole bottle. Quality: Outstanding! Forget Bermuda shorts, wear it with a suit and tie. Ideal for day, hot nights, office, or the movies. Not for the club. Few notes, all present. Lasts over 7 hours, projects over a meter, and turns heads. Price: I’m starving!
Smells sexy and fresh, with a very well-executed aquatic base that doesn’t sound artificial. While it lacks the realism of Acqua di Sale (which deserves more for its price), on that wet foundation, sweet fruity notes like melon and peach stand out, accompanied by a herbal touch that isn’t mint. I don’t feel sharp citrus, but something softer. I’m not sure what the declared sage smells like, but the geranium must be that slight herbal freshness I notice, distinct from the intense vibe of Chrome. The ingredients smell natural, nothing synthetic. The flaw is the projection: on my skin, it barely lasts the first hour and then it’s just skin scent. Longevity is around 5 hours. Does it smell good? Absolutely. Is it worth 145 euros? For me, no, because at that price, I demand more projection. I have a decant of Yuniquu.
Acqua di Gio Profondo similar to Rock Moss? What perfume have you heard of, buddy?
Is Acqua di Gio Profondo similar to rock moss? What perfume have you smelled, buddy?
I don’t know what you’ve heard; I’ve heard Acqua di Gio Profondo, which I own, and Pacific Rock Moss in a decant, meaning I’ve tested them well and compared them side by side. I reaffirm: they are similar, though probably more like ADG Essenza; in any case, the ADG DNA is there. By the way, I like ADG Profondo more, as it projects and lasts longer and is more intense. They haven’t invented anything, no matter how much it hurts the snobs and those who paid a fortune for this, and the rest of the overvalued brand.
I bought Bohemian Lime by G&B months ago and was surprised by the composition: a woody citrus with natural ingredients that projected and lasted well. That started my obsession with the brand. Samples came with it, including this PRM, and my son loved it so much he asked for the 100ml bottle. He gifted me the last sprays from the decant, and on that same day, I ordered the bottle. The aroma is incredibly fresh and marine with reminiscences of Acqua di Parma Essenza but spikier, mischievous, youthful, and relaxed. It lasts about 8 hours on skin, projects decently for 4-6 hours, and at the end, it’s only close to the skin but in a lively and addictive way. The quality is exceptional, although I had an issue with the juice color staining a white shirt when I first wore it. 9/10.
I bought a G&B (Bohemian Lime) fragrance months ago and was surprised that, despite being a citrus-woody scent with natural ingredients, it projected and lasted well. That started my obsession. There were samples, including this PRM; my son took one, got so ecstatic that he asked for the 100ml bottle. The aroma is incredibly fresh and marine, with reminiscences of Acqua di Parma Essenza but spicier, mischievous, youthful, and relaxed. It lasts about 8 hours on skin, projecting decently 4/6 at the start and then close to the skin but alive and addictive. The quality is exceptional, although I had an issue with the color of the ‘juice’ staining a white shirt when I first used it. 9/10.
It’s about 80% identical to DG Light Blue Forever for women. Where it stands out is the musk and very pleasant aquatic notes; it’s sexy, young, and very unisex. I would classify it as the one that smells clean: it’s not so marine or so citrusy; it’s fresh but very soft and musky. Unfortunately, it doesn’t stand out for originality or performance since it quickly becomes a one-person scent, but it smells great and could be my summer signature.
I feel it’s just more of the same summer stuff: fresh lemon, some plants, and that’s it. For the price, it’s better to go for cheaper options like DG Light Blue Intense or Nautica Voyage. Pacific denotes a bit more elegance, but it’s just a tiny bit more serious and higher quality than the previous ones. Nothing extraordinary. If you like lemon and the sea, try it without expecting anything new.
I bought it due to the hype, and the first time I smelled it, it wasn’t anything extraordinary—just a pleasant scent. Over time, it has earned my points and is one of my most used and enjoyed fragrances for its aroma and versatility; it’s not just for hot weather. The opening features bitter, sparkling citrus that sweetens over time with a sandalwood that adds creaminess. Highly recommended.
I love it! I don’t detect the declared notes; it just smells fresh, aquatic, and clean with some woody undertones. The description is boring for a sparkling, attractive, cheerful, and compliment-drawing perfume. Since the reformulation (gold cap), it has leveled up: now it lasts a long time on skin (8h+) and is very noticeable in the first hours. It doesn’t smell like lemon candy or like a designer fragrance; it’s very distinctive. I wear it a lot in summer, but it’s usable year-round unless it’s snowing at the office or for casual occasions; it looks spectacular. A wonder for lovers of fresh, clean, aquatic, and cheerful scents.
I love it! I don’t notice the declared notes, just a fresh, aquatic, clean scent with a woody base. A boring description for a sparkling, attractive, cheerful, and compliment-bomb perfume. Since the reformulation (gold cap), it’s gone up a level: it lasts a long time on skin (8h+) and is very noticeable around me in the first hours. It doesn’t smell like lemon candy or seem banal; it’s very distinctive. I use it heavily in summer, but it’s wearable all year if it’s not snowing. Looks spectacular dressed up or casual. A marvel for lovers of fresh, clean, and cheerful scents.
It’s totally a summer scent, but based on personal taste and occasion, I’m not attracted to buying it, especially considering the price. In my view, for summer, it’s not very versatile: I don’t see it for the office or formal events; it’s more youthful. Although it smells great and it’s impossible not to like it, it’s a citrus-aquatic with moss, subtle woods, and lavender in the background that makes it aromatic. However, there are similar designer scents at one-third the price. Performance is fair; it feels better than designer brands, but the price isn’t justified. Note: At 20 years old, for 60/70 euros, it would be a great option, even as a summer signature.
It’s gorgeous, though it didn’t meet my expectations after reading all the hype. In the dry-down, it reminds me of Loewe 7 Cobalt due to the moss, but fresh out of the bottle, it’s much fresher and crisper; they aren’t clones or redundant. For me, PRM is the summer version of 7 Cobalt. Ideal for spring/summer daytime wear, though it works in hot nights too. Longevity is fair (5-6 hours) with moderate projection, so reapplication is needed. It’s original, charming, and everyone likes it; in my opinion, it leans masculine, though most see it as unisex. It suits all ages, from young to old, perfectly balanced with sweet citrus, moss, geranium, and sage. I loved it, but given the fair performance and high price, I say: try before buying blindly; there are cheaper options for summer. If you carry a decant in your pocket to reapply, you’ll love it; if you’re looking for 9-hour longevity, you’ll be disappointed. Edit 5-06-2024: After using it more and comparing it to other summer scents, I’ve upgraded my rating: moderate projection for 2 hours is decent, and longevity is 6 to 6.5 hours, which is correct for summer, though reapplication is still needed. I’ve received many compliments. Cheers.
Performance is its Achilles’ heel: longevity is average for a fresh scent, but projection is non-existent; it’s barely noticeable right after applying. Since the scent isn’t mind-blowing and the price is high, I don’t recommend it.
I bought it for its supposed resemblance to Wood Sage by JM, and yes, it has a touch, though in my opinion, this one is much more intense in the opening and leans more towards unisex masculine, but I like it. Let’s hope it lasts a bit longer than the JM one.
It’s a delicious, aromatic, mossy, herbal scent with a clean base and even a bit of ‘creamy’ vibe. I see complaints about poor performance, but it lasts 7-8 hours for me; the first two hours project quite a bit, not a bomb but excellent for a fresh scent. It gets many compliments, is easy to like, and versatile. It definitely enters my top 10. 10 out of 10.
Delicious, aromatic, mossy, herbal, with a clean base and even a slightly ‘creamy’ finish. I see many people complaining about poor performance, but luckily for me, it’s lasting 7-8 hours, projecting quite well for the first two; it’s not a bomb, but for a fresh perfume, its longevity is more than excellent. It’s a fragrance that gets lots of compliments, easy to like, and I even see it as versatile. It definitely enters my top 10. 10 out of 10.
Rich and distinctive aroma, oozing 100% niche quality. Easy-to-wear fragrance that is very well-liked. Years have passed since the first batch, and my perception is that the longevity of this batch is longer than the previous one. It doesn’t project much, in that aspect I remember it the same: it lasts about five hours, noticeable for the first two, then stays in a personal bubble close to the skin for another three. I had a 2019 batch that lasted less, so the reformulation rumors seem true (for the better) and this new one lasts a bit more. For heat and daytime, though a summer night on the terrace looks spectacular. Informal, semi-formal at most, I wouldn’t wear it to a formal event. I had lost my olfactory memory, it’s addictive, and now I can’t stop smelling the back of my hand, haha. 50ml bottle, next time I’ll get the 100ml because I’m going to use a lot of it again. Thanks for reading. Best regards.
Fragrance by Hamid Merati Kashami, who also created Percival and Sedley for PDM. It’s a blue fragrance, but as the liquid suggests, it’s not as intense a blue as PDM’s creations; it’s a much more summery, beachy blue, even though the listed notes might seem boring. It’s an energetic and pleasant fragrance, with no weird twists in the opening or evolution, just a pleasant woody base and that’s it. For my taste, a good summer fragrance. Is it expensive? Yes (155€/100ml), and it will be slightly inflated due to the hype and the brand’s aura, but an Allure Homme Sport costs 125€ and is the same old thing; it’s not bad to innovate and let new houses compete for space (until L’Oreal buys them like the rest). Ultimately, it’s a luxury house with commitments to work with local Australian ingredients.
Wonderful scent: delicate, elegant, and long-lasting. Every time I wear it, I feel special and get lots of compliments.
A classic summer scent but with ultra-quality. Aquatic, citrusy, with a slight mossy touch that makes it highly addictive.
So far, it’s the citrus fragrance I like the most. Tremendous quality and very pleasant. But the performance is ridiculous. Zero projection. Soft longevity, no more than an hour, then it clings to the skin for another hour (if you have a sensitive nose, you won’t feel it) and then it disappears. A total disappointment because the scent is a 10. Fragrance: 10/10, Projection: 5/10, Longevity: 0/10. Considering the price, it feels like a disrespect.
Since the marine accord has been overused, it’s hard to find one that doesn’t sound like the others. This is the exception. It has a unique composition, quality notes, and a natural marine accord that sets it apart. Upon spraying, it explodes with energetic citrus and a cleanliness like walking into a dry cleaner. Seconds later, an incredibly realistic marine accord kicks in: dry salt, seaweed, and a fresh breeze. This mineral facet lasts the entire life of the perfume. Mixed with the opening, it’s like lounging on the beach drinking a mineral lemonade. Unfortunately, the performance isn’t as special as the composition, but it’s within normal range for fresh scents. Moderate projection for the first hour, then it stays in your personal bubble. Lasts between 5 and 6 hours, ironically less in the heat where it shines the most. Usage: totally summery, also spring if it’s hot, daytime, ideal for waking up. Fits from casual to semi-formal with light clothing. The quality of the notes is incredible; I’ve tried few from this house but that quality is constant: the realism of the sea is surprising. I really like it: realistic, clean, energizing, and different. The only downside is the price-to-performance ratio. For me, a 7/10.
Aromatic, clean, and aquatic scent. Watch out, this has nothing to do with Wood Sage and Sea Salt by Jo Malone; it doesn’t smell salty or like sage to me, which is where that brand hits perfection. I’m not too impressed by this brand; it doesn’t feel unique or special to me, and the performance isn’t what I’m looking for. It’s a different story with Jo Malone: the longevity is terrible, but the scent is perfect—cheerful, clean, and serene. Another Goldfield that brings happiness is Ingenious Ginger; I’m testing its longevity and it’s not for me, but the scent is spectacular, bright, and energizing.
Another vial that caught me off guard, and it’s not my thing! It’s linear: starts citrusy, dries down quickly to an aquatic, mossy, and woody scent. Sparkling, clean, with marine (not salty) and mossy notes, very nice. It doesn’t reinvent the wheel, but it has quality and is a top pick for summer. Ideal for summer or hot springs, daytime, daily wear, and semi-formal occasions; there are better options for formal events. Acceptable longevity, about 5 hours with moderate projection. I don’t know which batch this is, but they say it was reformulated for the better, which is rare. I wouldn’t rush to buy it, but if I find it at a good price, I’ll add it to my collection. Scent: 7, Longevity: 6.5, Projection: 6, Versatility: 7.5
