I defined the first My Way as a softened L’Interdit; now I’ll define the Intense version as a softened and improved L’Interdit. I couldn’t handle the L’Interdit line because each version had a note that bothered me; they seem loud, annoying, and harassing scents that saturate the senses and cause headaches (I sold all four: EDP, EDT, Couture, and Intense, and tried the Rouge which was even more irritating, so I convinced myself that line isn’t for me). However, I always liked the sweet neroli aroma in L’Interdit. In both My Way and Intense, I recognize that pleasant neroli scent found in L’Interdit, but without the annoying notes. My Way Intense is a velvety, very pleasant neroli scent accompanied by a sweet citrus that adds freshness and more sweetness than the first version; the vanilla is also more present, making it much creamier. I like it better than the original and recommend it for those who like neroli but didn’t like L’Interdit.
The neroli has worn me out. I’ll just say I smelled this scent years ago and it reminded me of an aunt who was as obsessed with perfume as I am. I’m sorry, I thought I’d like it—the opening was nice—but then the flowers took over and overwhelmed me. It requires a lot of personality and self-esteem to wear. But today, I’m saying no. It does have great longevity and is very enveloping.
Neroli and more neroli. The opening smells like very fresh, slightly green orange blossom, then leaves you with neroli for 1-2 hours before settling into a vanilla very similar to Idole Aura by Lancôme. This perfume definitely sounds familiar; it’s nothing original. Its longevity is barely 3 hours with a very soft sillage, meant for personal enjoyment.
I only smelled it on a blotter, but I swear I’ve used this perfume before. Does anyone else notice a similarity to Givenchy’s Fleur d’Interdit or something from that era? Any scent-savvy 40-somethings out there with a better olfactory memory than me? 😂
I loved it the moment I smelled it. A gorgeous opening that felt like passionfruit, followed by that creamy, sweet dry-down. People smelled it on me all around; I don’t understand why people say it doesn’t last—I wore it until the next day. It’s perfect for spring and hot autumn days, but it doesn’t perform as well in colder weather. It’s beautiful, even if some say it’s too straightforward (like what happened with the original My Way). Try it on your skin and don’t let those comments sway you.
The intense neroli has worn me out. I thought I’d buy it blind because of the good reviews, but luckily I went to a store and could test it. Even though I’ve washed my hands, I can’t get it off my wrist. It’s so intense and overwhelming, and on top of that, I absolutely don’t like it.
I’ve tested it three times and absolutely loved it. It’s floral, long-lasting, intense, yet very refined and perfectly balanced so it doesn’t come across as cloying. Compared to the original My Way, in my opinion, I prefer the Intense version. I want to buy it. P.S.: To M4ri4 who mentioned similarities, I don’t know the Givenchy one you’re referring to, but for me, from the very first moment, it reminded me of Estée Lauder’s Beyond Paradise. It’s marvelous!
A slap in the face of intense, suffocating neroli. I tested it on a blotter I’d forgotten in my bag—big mistake! It stained it terribly. I hated it; it gave me nausea and a headache. Don’t buy blind.
Exquisite, fresh, and youthful. I love it.
I tried it in-store and grabbed My Way. Even though the salesperson said it’s not for everyone, the top notes brought me memories of the Carolina Herrera Parfum from 1988. I don’t know how it will evolve over time, but I might look for it again in the future. By the way, I saw the original and confirmed that Carlos Benaim is behind both creations.
More potent than its siblings in the same range, it’s very floral and intense; the vanilla touch is noticeable after a while. It lasts more than 12 hours on skin, so it’s suitable for dinner, partying, or even weddings. It usually isn’t liked because it’s too enveloping and it’s impossible not to notice you’re wearing it; only suitable for confident people because it attracts attention and can flood a room with its scent. If you want something softer, you can opt for the classic My Way version. For me, it’s a 10/10 and to date my favorite perfume because I like to draw attention with my scent.
Truly exquisite. The original My Way didn’t like me, but my seller friend insisted I try this, so I took it even though I didn’t let it settle on my skin for more than five minutes. It has excellent longevity and an attractive trail; to be floral (which isn’t among my favorites), I love it, even the touch of vanilla and its juicy citrus note, a successful combination.
I recently acquired this perfume and I love it. The scent seems delicious; it’s very floral where neroli stands out mainly and has a touch of vanilla that gives it sweetness. It’s an enveloping and addictive scent, very feminine and sophisticated. I think it’s quite versatile; I don’t see it as exclusive for special or evening occasions. It’s more elegant and intense than classic My Way, but with moderate sprays, it can be used for different occasions. Personally, I like to use it in spring and autumn; it’s ideal for those days that aren’t too cold or too hot. If you like white flowers, especially neroli, this perfume is ideal.
It’s wonderful. So, I don’t have much experience with women’s perfumes, but this is worthy of having in the collection. It’s my first time smelling neroli flower in its full expression. It has become one of my favorite notes in women’s perfumery. Here we have fresh and bright neroli that give a sexy touch to the olfactory experience. The woman wearing this perfume evokes a lot of sensuality, freshness, and attraction for men. It’s one of those perfumes that once you smell it, you don’t want to stop smelling it; it’s addictive. It’s a purchase you can make with your eyes closed. Women, whenever you want to conquer a guy, use this and you’ll see.
Overloaded with neroli. I bought it thinking it would be like My Way but with more intensity, and yes, it is, but I think it loses that pleasant, fresh, and musky dry-down that is the reason I like My Way. This Intense is that floral scent over a heavy sandalwood base that became very hard for me to wear; I didn’t feel comfortable smelling those neroli all day and the next… because if I recognize one thing, it’s that it has brutal longevity and projection; two days after showering twice, I could still smell it on my neck. Finally, I sold it; perhaps in winter it would be more tolerable for me, but in reality, I prefer a different type of scent in winter, not so floral.
I love neroli; it’s one of my favorite notes in perfumery. And this perfume is an ode to them. I perceive neroli accompanied by some citrus over a vanilla base. Very timeless, beautiful, elegant, feminine, and sophisticated. Suitable for spring-summer, with phenomenal performance, lasting over 8 hours and high projection. 10/10, it blew my mind.
Neroli, depending on how they’re worked, I like them or not; sometimes they overwhelm me, but trying this perfume full of sweet, cheerful, young yet elegant neroli was an experience. It’s an elegant, feminine, and romantic perfume. It blew my mind, I loved it, and I bought it. I would use it in cold or fresh climates; I don’t see a perfume that can be used in heat because it can be overwhelming—it’s quite intense and very sweet. I see comments saying it works for work; in my opinion, NO, it can become annoying due to its sweetness; it’s nothing fresh. BE CAREFUL WITH SOME COMMENTS! Try before buying.
WHY DID THEY REMOVE THE JASMINES? I like this much more than the My Way Floral, but compared to the original, it’s still a ‘meh’. What I do like about this flanker is that the base notes are more noticeable, especially the sandalwood, which the original lacks and gives a subtle, beautiful woody touch. As for the scent itself, it loses a lot without the jasmines. I don’t understand why they changed the jasmines in all the flankers; they are the heart of My Way. Unfortunately, on my skin, it doesn’t have good performance—only 4 hours and it fades to skin scent, probably due to the lack of musk. The trail is way lower. I’m sticking with the original.
I like this My Way flanker more than the EDP and it lasts longer on skin. It’s all-rounder. I detect sweet, fruity, and powerful neroli. To my nose, I smell more orange and tangerine, with a well-balanced vanilla base. I don’t perceive the sandalwood itself, maybe that’s the enveloping sensation? It’s quite linear; I don’t notice much evolution as it dries down, it smells the same as at the beginning. Good performance. I hope Le Parfum makes it to my country because the powdery iris will be a plus to this delight. L’Interdit EDP also has powerful neroli, but you can detect the patchouli and pear that My Way doesn’t have. They can be in the same vibe, but each with its own well-defined personality.
Starts with a citrus and neroli explosion that later wraps into vanilla and honey, while keeping those sweet white flowers present all along. It has a strong presence and lasts well. I loved it. It’s semi-formal, suitable for almost everything except wearing it at home. Edit: those sweet neroli notes give a fruity bubblegum sensation, but not childish or cheap—rather majestic. I love it!
It became my favorite fragrance with 12 hours of longevity on my skin. Combined with Police Love Potion, it’s a longevity bomb. 10/10 value for money. Sillage 7/10, longevity 9/10. If you like neroli and intense perfumes, this is your ideal perfume.
I didn’t like My Way EDP at all and hoped this flanker would be for me. And while I prefer this one between the two (since the neroli isn’t as piercing in My Way Intense), it has the original DNA too marked for my taste. Compared to the original EDP, this is sweeter, loses that aquatic part, and adds an orange (though very subtle). It has moderate sillage (perceptible) and 9 hours of longevity on my skin, so if you like the scent, the performance is worth it. I don’t think it’s suitable for blind buying, but it’s definitely more pleasant than the original EDP. And for me, it doesn’t resemble JPG’s So Scandal (a perfume I love that has a marked raspberry note, unlike this one).
In my case, My Way Intense is just My Way, but with a less piercing neroli note, more wearable, and slightly sweeter due to the sandalwood. Longevity is average and projection is rather discreet. Honestly, it doesn’t seem like a game-changer for me, but that happens with the traditional one too. It’s a known scent; I understand why some associate it with hygiene products: it’s a sweet floral that, while pleasant, feels generic. Who will like it: everyone, absolutely.
Could it be that the first impression is what counts? What an incredibly rich opening. The truth is, it calms down quite a bit later, but it doesn’t stop sending bursts of the scent; after hours, it remains a pleasure at close range. Ideal for people who don’t like an assertive neroli but want something perceptible, as the opening balances it with orange blossom and orange. I find it versatile and quite delicious.
Compared to the original, Intense is much creamier and sweeter because it uses sandalwood instead of cedar, which softens the neroli a bit and complements it beautifully with the vanilla. It’s still similar to the original, keeping the style, and when you smell it, you know it’s My Way. It’s super long-lasting on skin and clothes. Super potent, giving a sense of well-being and boosting your mood with fresh-cut flower vibes. It also has a nice development: a touch of sweetness, but not cloying, rather a floral sweetness that feels like a very delicate floral nectar. The recommendation is to test it in-store or buy a decant because it develops differently on each person. Like all perfumes, and this one being potent, it might not please everyone and isn’t very cheap, so you shouldn’t hate it blindly. Personally, I have a bit of drama with the neroli note because it becomes very intense on me, overpowering the others, smelling like laundry detergent powder. So, test before investing.
Let me start by saying I like the whole My Way line, but this is my favorite. Its proposal isn’t innovative, but it’s deliciously beautiful and balanced. When spraying My Way Intense, a very crisp and juicy orange appears immediately; then the orange blossom adheres, making a great dance pair with the potent, fragrant neroli. Then comes a sweet vanilla and bits of sandalwood. Here you find a bouquet of fresh orange blossoms and neroli, bathed in vanilla and dusted with powdered sugar: flowers with a gum-like quality, sweet and powdery. It’s a mature, lovely, intense, sweet, and relatively simple perfume. It follows the classic and timeless line. If you adore neroli, this is your perfume; if you love those gum vibes, this is your perfume; if you like sweet scents, this is your perfume; if you like vanilla, this is your perfume. Its projection and longevity are very good, about 8 hours on my skin with projection ranging from strong to moderate. I’d wear it all year, but I consider it better suited for temperate and cold climates.
I love it in the cold and hate it in the heat. It’s a very good perfume, very well made, but you have to know which days to wear it. It goes from beautiful to horrible depending on the day. Longevity and sillage are excellent.
Am I the only one who swore they smelled sweet peach with white florals at first? Based on the notes and reviews, I was completely wrong, even though I’m not an orange lover. But this perfume obsessed me: it’s sweet, intense, and very floral, and the vanilla at the end is quite appealing.
Creamy, floral, and secondarily sweet. It’s very well made with good sillage and longevity, perfect for cold weather. When I smell it, it’s like holding a pollen-heavy flower right in front of my nose. Although it feels like a good extract and not synthetic, I didn’t like it (personal taste) because it reminds me of lower-quality fragrances. So, even though I’m not a Zara fan, I admit it resembles one of their scents. MY WAY PARFUM is something else: delicious, balanced between white florals and vanilla, cozy, timeless, and elegant without losing its youthful vibe.
It’s identical to the original but sweeter and creamier; the bergamot is replaced by dessert orange, and you can definitely smell the vanilla. It has slightly better longevity, very pretty and feminine.
I love it! It reminds me a little of my beloved original Acqua di Gio, which is already discontinued. It smells like cool summer nights. If you like white florals, citrus, and a touch of sweetness, this is definitely for you!
My favorite of the My Way line; it managed to evolve without losing its DNA. Same longevity as the original, a creamier neroli, and a subtle vanilla base that makes it more feminine. As others say in comments, you can tell it’s My Way. If you like the original, you might like this even more. If you don’t like neroli, try it and decide… it’s one of the few long-lasting options that offer something original with lots of personality. Now, between the original and this, I’m sticking with the Intense. Once you try it, it’s hard to go back.
I bought a decant to try it because I saw it was Cazzu’s perfume. I smell it very similar to the classic My Way but a bit more woody and slightly sweeter. It has a lovely sillage and good longevity; I’m not sure if I’d buy it in full size.
I received it today as a gift, it’s a beauty. It has a slight resemblance to L’Interdit, just sweeter and creamier. I loved it, seems versatile.
Beautiful perfume with incredible longevity, more than ten hours on the skin and lasting several days on clothes. At first, it reminded me a lot of Armani Code for Women, with that fresh yet creamy orange blossom. When it dries, it’s almost identical to another perfume I love, Women by Ralph Lauren. Neroli dominates but without that synthetic touch found in other fragrances. I liked it a lot; it’s not very original but it’s an excellent option for those who love white flowers. I’d recommend it for night or cool days, because in extreme heat it can be a bit overwhelming.
I love it.
Same as the regular version, but with elevated notes.
It was my first designer perfume and the most complimented in my collection. It opens with a non-bitter orange and orange blossom, then dries down to a beautiful sandalwood base; the vanilla isn’t noticeable. I would buy it again. Longevity 10/10, projects a lot (but watch out not to over-spray).
It’s super feminine, with enveloping neroli like freshly cut flowers and a vanilla touch that gives it another character without losing its original essence. I liked it much more; the longevity is good and the sillage is powerful—you don’t go unnoticed. One of the perfumes that has given me the most compliments.
At first, I was hooked by that super-sweet bubblegum scent, likely from the neroli, but then it turned citrusy and that’s not for me. It feels like a very strong perfume, too intense, plus it doesn’t last on the skin as long as I expected.
