Descripción

Midnight Romance by Ralph Lauren is an oriental floral fragrance for women. Launched in 2014, this composition was created by Honorine Blanc and Alberto Morillas. The top notes unfold with raspberry, lychee, and bergamot; the heart reveals peony, freesia, and sambac jasmine; while the base settles on iris, vanilla, and ambroxan.

  • Super soft aroma, reminded me of my childhood violet colognes when my grandma bathed me for school. It has nothing to do with Midnight, nor does it resemble the original Romance, which is MUCH better, just like other line scents such as Romance Always Yours, which is the best of all. To me, it’s all hype and no substance; just because the perfumer is Latina doesn’t mean it smells good like many expect. I don’t believe in fame or brands—if I like it, it’s good, hehe. It doesn’t smell bad, it’s soft and delicate, but not what I expected. And forget about longevity, it’s terrible, less than three hours.

  • I bought it on sale with the lotion and gel, but even with both, the longevity isn’t great. Smells amazing with strong raspberry and floral notes. It’s intense, but I’d say it’s more for someone younger or casual, perfect for a spring day. Lasts about two hours.

  • A super rich fragrance, smells exquisite. But it lasts very little, max 2 hours. When I smell myself, it reminds me of a sexy, successful woman. Honestly, I smelled notes of grapefruit and red roses.

  • Super rich and exquisite fragrance, though it doesn’t last long—max two hours. It smells like a sexy, successful woman; on me, it’s grapefruit and red roses.

  • I tried it and I love it. It’s delicate and feminine. Although I agree it doesn’t last long, I would buy it anyway just because it’s pleasant.

  • Unlike others, this perfume lasts HOURS on me. I don’t know why, but I’ve tested it several times and people comment it smells good after so long, even that the trail is strong. Personally, I think it’s hard for it to last that long, maybe due to my pH, but I feel very comfortable wearing it. Although my favorites are sweet ones, I love this floral so much; it smells delicious and everyone notices it 🙂

  • Contrary to the previous ones, on me it lasts HOURS. I don’t know why; I’ve tried it several times and people say it smells good after so much time, even that the sillage is strong. Personally, I feel it hardly lasts that long, maybe due to my pH, but I feel very comfortable wearing it. Although my favorites are sweet scents, I like this floral one immensely; it smells great and everyone notices it.

  • In my opinion, it’s floral, a little sweet but not cloying, with a very pleasant and feminine scent. On my skin, the longevity is quite good.

  • It’s delicious. I put it on musk, lychee, freesia, and peony, which give it a unique touch. Very youthful, fresh, and at the same time classic.

  • After two hours it’s already very subtle. At first, it was a heavy, overly sweet, rich scent that felt edible, but I didn’t find it elegant.

  • I noticed it was soft after two hours. At first, it felt a bit heavy, very sweet and rich, like something edible, but it didn’t seem attractive or elegant to me.

  • The only thing I hate is that it lasts so little and is so soft. If it lasted longer and was more intense, it would be the perfect fragrance. It’s incredibly delicate, feminine, and easy to wear daily. I met it through a coworker; as soon as she walked into the office, I asked what perfume she was wearing because I fell in love at first sniff. Due to my pH, it doesn’t have the same sillage on me as it does on her, but I still enjoy using it a lot. It puts me in a great mood.

Seems like the daytime version of Tresor Midnight Rose, so much so the name doesn’t fit. ‘Midnight Romance’ sounds passionate, but this is more like a high school girl with a crush: feminine, delicate, fresh, and powdery. It’s a mix of raspberry and peony; the ambroxan is only noticeable if you know to look for it, no mystery. The iris adds that powdery tenderness. Smells great, but the name fails. I’d call it ‘Secret Crush,’ it fits better. Reminds me a bit of Daisy Eau So Fresh, but more powdery with a warm touch.

It seems like the daytime version of Tresor Midnight Rose, so much so that I don’t see the logic in the name. ‘Midnight Romance’ sounds passionate, but this is feminine and delicate, like a high school girl with a crush. It’s not a serious romance, not really for night, and lacks mystery. It’s fresh, powdery, and a sweet floral. It’s raspberry with peony (you only notice the ambroxan if you know what to look for; there’s no mystery). The iris gives a powdery, tender feel. It smells great, but the name doesn’t fit. I’d call it ‘Secret Crush’; it suits it better. It reminds me a bit of Daisy Eau So Fresh, but more powdery and warm.

  • I disagree that it’s only for night. I like it because it has a citrus raspberry opening that I prefer to Nina Rose Extase, which feels sharp and overwhelming to me. The bergamot note is great. It’s romantic, innocent, and super wearable. When it dries down, the iris smells wonderful. It doesn’t have much sillage and fades quickly in intensity. It lasts about 4 hours on the skin. My favorite will always be the original Romance; I miss the woodiness… I won’t be buying it again.

  • I love this perfume. I consider it sophisticated and elegant. The first time I smelled it on a friend, I couldn’t stop praising it; I asked for the name three times for fear of forgetting it. For me, it is definitely a night scent: the mystery and romance combine in a strange and exquisite way with the smoke and smog of the night. Midnight Romance by day is innocent, but at night, on those cold autumn days with the first fireplaces lit, it transforms! I actually met it on a day like that and felt my pH wasn’t doing it justice until I discovered that combination.

  • I absolutely love it; it looks super sophisticated and elegant. The first time a friend wore it, she couldn’t stop praising it, and I asked for the name three times in case I forgot. To me, it’s a night scent; mystery and romance blend strangely and exquisitely with smoke and city smog. By day, it’s innocent, but on those cold autumn afternoons with the fireplace going, it transforms! I met it on such a day and felt my skin wasn’t doing it justice until I discovered this combination.

A friend tried it and won’t stop saying it’s a shame they discontinued it, calling it an exquisite fragrance that people are lamenting losing.
