The first time I tried it, it didn’t quite work for me—it sounded too powdery and slightly artificial. But I decided to give it another chance, and after wearing it for a while, it transformed into something else entirely. By the time I went back to buy it, it had sold out, so I had to make a pilgrimage to several Zara stores to finally snag one. I’d define it as a super elegant and sophisticated fragrance: it starts with a very powdery opening that gives way to an undeclared iris note. This blend is often a hallmark of high perfumery due to its versatility and beauty. As it settles, the powdery touch softens, and the toffee note emerges, along with the musk that ensures a long-lasting trail and longevity. Deep down, there’s a subtle vanilla and suede undertone (also undeclared) that adds roundness to this fabulous perfume. By the way, the name Merino (Merino Musk) comes from a type of virgin wool from the Merino sheep.

A pleasant fragrance for post-shower, like a second skin. It evolves slightly with a powdery touch. I bought it blind after reading an enthusiastic review calling it a beast mode perfume; considering I love discovering new, innovative, and memorable scents, my definition of ‘beast’ is different. It’s a fragrance I recommend: non-intrusive, perfect for daytime, soft, and suitable for everyone.

Tested it yesterday at the mall in Zara. At first, it felt like a powdery scent with aromatic and green notes, reminding me of something like Gentleman Society. To clear things up, I tried Society, but it lacked that citrus element. My doubt vanished when I sampled Dior Homme Intense—they’re about 90% similar in the opening but diverge by 70% in the dry-down. It also has an undeclared iris note that echoes Dior Homme. Lasts about 4 hours on skin, with a moderate trail for the first two hours. Marketed for women, but it’s definitely unisex.

I tried it at the mall yesterday. At Zara, when I tested it, it gave me the impression of being talcum-based with aromatic and green notes. It reminded me of some perfume, maybe Gentleman Society. To clear up my doubt, I went to try Society, but it lacked that citrus part of that perfume. My doubt was resolved when I tested Dior Homme Intense; they’re 90% similar in the opening but diverge 70% in the dry-down, and although it’s not declared, it has an iris that reminds me of Dior Homme. Longevity on skin is 4 hours and the trail is moderate for the first two hours. It’s a fragrance categorized for women, but without a doubt, it can easily pass as unisex.
