Descripción
Majolica by Zara is a spicy oriental fragrance for men. This creation, launched in 2024, is presented as a new addition to the collection. The nose behind this composition is Alexandra Carlin. The top notes reveal almond and ginger; the floral heart unfolds its essence; and the base notes complete the olfactory pyramid with vanilla and amber.

I’ve had it for months and still don’t know if I like it. It opens with wonderful bitter almonds and vanilla, but I lose the top notes quickly. The vetiver arrives and leaves me with a sensation of damp earth with a very distant vanilla, and the almonds are completely gone. Much later, a serious, dry, and subtle vanilla appears, but it’s nice.
Starts with a bitter almond top note, almost identical to TF, lasting a couple of minutes before yielding to a vanilla that carries it to the end. If you like vanilla, it’s a total hit; it smells great, though the longevity is average. The vanilla is very different from Zara’s Majestic Green, and I think it’s worth having both.
An incredibly rare collection that hasn’t been in any major Madrid stores for over a year, and without a single review from those pseudo-expert YouTubers so obsessed with clickbait. On sale, they dropped to €20.96 (from €29.95, the most expensive I’ve seen for Zara fragrances), so I decided to try them without even sniffing them first. Huge mistake. This smells terrible and there’s no way to romanticize it. It’s the first negative review I’m writing here and the first time I’ve failed so badly at blind buying. Majolica smells like kindergarten playdough; I think it’s the ginger, but so synthetic it sounds like a play area. After a few seconds, the ‘almonds’ come out, shifting from a horrific smell to an absurd one. It no longer smells like Play-Doh, but like cheap latex from kids’ water balloons in the summer, and it’s not an exaggeration: literally that almond and ginger combo. It’s a nightmare. As for the rest of the notes, I have to go wash my arm because it made me nauseous (no exaggeration: the smell made me want to throw up). Sillage is normal, that Inditex vibe of ‘you smell it when you pass by, but if you’re distracted, you won’t notice it’. Longevity: just enough time to go to the bathroom to disinfect yourself. I always say it’s subjective, maybe someone will love it, but here it seems impossible and borders on insanity. P.S.: Besides being awful, it smells like a supermarket cologne for kids.
