  • Sweet, warm, and gourmand aroma! The mandarin gives it a spiced citrus touch at the start, which becomes imperceptible as it dries down, letting the jasmine, praline, and vanilla shine through. It’s a delight I enjoy so much and it doesn’t disappoint. If you love gourmand scents, this might be what you’re looking for. It came by chance and will become one of my staples.

  • It smells like sweet, delicious almond. I think it’s 98% similar to Poison Girl EDP; it’s an excellent option, much more affordable, with very good longevity. I’d say it lasts 6 to 8 hours with a moderate trail. Recommended.

  • I love its top-shaped bottle, the Mademoiselle Twist. It’s a cheerful, fruity, fresh, and citrusy fragrance that dries down to warm and sugary. It projects for 3 hours on the skin; by hour 6 it starts to fade but lingers for another 8 (I took a shower and I can still smell it). It has a vibe similar to Poison Girl EDP, just in the sweetness (I tested them on each arm: PG is thicker and balsamic, MT is fresher and sparkly). I see it as ideal for summer-to-spring transitions; the mandarin and jasmine give freshness while the praline with soft vanilla adds sweetness without being cloying. Highly recommended. This Mauboussin brand was a pleasant surprise: affordable prices, beautiful bottles, and good quality. It has the three B’s. 9/10.

What a rich perfume… But I feel it’s missing a touch of cocoa. If it had that, it would be spectacular, like the Jean Paul Gaultier Classique Essence with its whipped cream. But hey, we can’t always be 100% satisfied.

I considered buying it blind because they had testers. I tried it with my daughter and we absolutely loved it. The bottle and performance are gorgeous. At first, it smells like orange and praline; I wasn’t trusting citrus with edible notes, but it’s so well-balanced it’s a treat. The price is a laugh. I’ll definitely repurchase. By the way, it’s driving me crazy, lasts all day, and the trail is incredible; my husband is also obsessed.

  • Just received it and can’t comment on longevity or projection yet, but it smells great. At first, you note it’s very similar to Poison Girl, then it gets more powdery and light, turning into a ‘new doll’ scent, like a Poison Girl mixed with a quality baby cologne. I’ve really liked it, and the price is unbeatable. I don’t know about other similar scents, but it definitely reminds me of PG. UPDATE 01/22/2023: I can’t believe the longevity. I put it on at 8 am, and it’s 8 pm (12 hours later) and I still smell it. Without a doubt, as long as it exists, I’ll keep repurchasing it. What a find, I’m in love, and I adore the bottle.

I don’t know Poison Girl, but it’s a gourmand that you feel for the first 3 hours, then it sits close to the skin, but it’s wonderful… worth buying because it has the 3 Bs.

  • I bought it in the middle of summer, so I couldn’t review it then; I knew I wouldn’t do it justice. I liked it at first, but as it dried down, I smelled something that didn’t convince me; it reminded me of ‘bubble butt soap,’ haha, like when I entered my grandma’s bathroom. It wasn’t a bad smell, but it didn’t add anything to my skin. It faded quickly (normal with my pH), the trail was very fleeting, but something told me that with these notes, this pretty bottle, and that feminine, sensual touch, it couldn’t be a ‘yes and no.’ Today I wore it in autumn, cloudy with light rain, and I’m glad I didn’t review it sooner; with the season change, it regained all the faith I had in it: sweet, vanilla-scented, the fresh opening comes from the mandarin which I now detect (in summer at 30°C I felt nothing). That’s at first; then the exquisite praline emerges, and finally I identify that ‘yes and no’ in the dry down: it’s the powdery note, yes, a fine talc. I’ve felt its presence for about 7 hours, though very softly; those 7 hours are a triumph because all perfumes fade quickly on me. It’s a sensual, feminine, and lovely low-cost perfume that gives way more than it’s worth. It’s a must-have.

Although I have a decant of Poison Girl EDP, I haven’t compared them side by side because I think this scent is lovely on its own. It’s a very sweet, very girly fragrance; that fruity opening is always accompanied by praline, making it creamy from the start. Then in the dry down, it feels a bit powdery, but it doesn’t change much. I don’t smell the pepper. It’s not a beast in terms of longevity or projection, but with several sprays, it accompanies me for an acceptable 6 hours, feeling very present (I think my Twist has better longevity). For the price, it’s a very pretty fragrance. If you like gourmands, it’s a blind buy. I’ve really liked the house and will be motivated to try others.

Ideal for autumn and winter; it performs better on my skin during these seasons. The bottle is beautiful and very different from the usual. Upon spraying, it’s a mandarin loaded with pepper (it made me sneeze), followed by a shy jasmine blending into a bright vanilla in the dry down. It’s not sweet, but it’s nocturnal and flirty. It’s intense, fruity due to the black currant which adds earthy nuances. Maybe there’s tonka bean (not declared). For me, the jasmine is fleeting, and the black currant with vanilla stands out. Very good longevity, over 8 hours on skin. I won’t mention clothes because I don’t like putting perfume on fabrics. Does it resemble Dior’s Poison Girl EDP? They’re different, but in the dry down, Twist reminds me of Dior. The difference is the more noticeable woody and earthy accords in Poison Girl, making it stronger, but only if you compare them side by side. Without that, Twist can be the flirty, fun daughter, while Poison Girl is the mature, seductive, decisive mother. Although I first knew Twist for its accessible price, I’m happy to have both. Similar scents, but neither replaces the other. Both will stay in my vanity.

  • A sugary candy scent that lasts over 6 hours on skin and much longer on clothes. I expected it to be less sweet, but it pleasantly surprised me; I adore gourmands, and this one is, oh boy, is it gourmand! It smells like vanilla sponge cake with a mandarin note at the start, even a hint of eucalyptus, though it’s not listed. I don’t detect the jasmine, which I like because it gets tiring. Despite being sugary, it’s not overwhelming or exhausting: a plus. Now I’m testing it for work to see if it lasts as long as it does at home. The top-shaped bottle is a keeper for my collection. Mauboussin gets a 10/10 for price-to-quality!

  • A gourmand scent for a young woman, with a sweet almond note where praline and vanilla take the lead. The opening is sparkly thanks to the pepper, but it fades quickly. It doesn’t have much projection, but it lasts a long time on skin. It’s comforting, and I sometimes wear it before bed.

I love it. Sweet and juicy at first, then it calms down as it dries. It lasts about 6 hours with 2 hours of good projection after around 6 sprays. This perfume introduced me to Mauboussin, and I now have four more scents from them; I’m hunting for the Star. I prefer these brands over the ridiculously expensive ones. I try out niche brands not overrun by social media and find treasures.

  • Surprising blind buy. I own two from this house, and their price-to-quality ratio is unbeatable. It lasts me over 8 hours on skin and until wash on clothes. Yes, it’s sweet, a bit cloying for my taste (I prefer citrus florals), but it’s still very enjoyable, especially in winter.

  • HiedraVenenosa

Simple 🥲. In short: citrusy-powdery, basic, and youthful. I’ll keep it for home; it performs terribly outdoors. I need 1000 sprays to even notice it, and it lasts no more than 4 hours on skin (longer on clothes, which is normal). I’ve been aging it for a year with no improvement. Don’t trust the reviews; I believed them and look at me now 🤣. If you can test it first, do it. If you have good designer or niche perfumes, don’t even consider this. I’m skipping Mauboussin; it’s the second one to disappoint me. The good: it’s super cheap, but I still regret it.
