I tried this fragrance thanks to a friend from Fragrantica and I was fascinated. The opening is a bit tricky because that medicinal scent is noticeable, which lasts about an hour on me, but then the vanilla with patchouli remains, that creamy vanilla. It’s a strong and elegant scent. Addictive and totally to my liking. Excellent sillage and longevity.

  • I also trusted Raquel’s reviews and ended up buying it. I’m really fascinated by this perfume. A delight for the nose.

  • jmherance

Raquel73, you are my idol; from now on, I’ll always follow your reviews when buying a perfume. With this one, I have to say you were spot on. I bought it because of your review and I adore it. It’s sweet without being cloying, long-lasting without being overwhelming, and maximally feminine without being old-lady-ish. I want to highlight the final vanilla, of a rare quality, although the tonka bean is one of my favorite scents and stands out quite a bit; perhaps that’s why I loved it so much.

  • Another great fragrance from Lalique that I wish I had in my collection. Besides the notes already mentioned, which are some of my favorites, I recognize a bay rum accord that I really like (as a fan of the plant I have at home), which is noticeable especially at the beginning. For me, this gives it a special touch that evokes Caribbean settings and my country, where that plant grows: evergreen forests, heat, and humidity; scents that travel on the wind and fill spaces until you feel cozy, which gives me an extra pleasure. It’s truly a joy to smell; it’s not loud or intrusive at all. In my opinion, it’s ultra-feminine and ideal for women of eternal charm and sensuality.

  • selmabarba1

I bought it and couldn’t wait to use it… Unfortunately, it wasn’t the best time; the stifling heat of my city highlights the vanilla and almond so intensely that, in my opinion, it loses some distinction. I’ll save it for winter or autumn and give it another chance.

  • Lalique Le Parfum, MARVELOUS! Harmonious oriental and incredibly well-balanced. In the opening, I notice a herbal note that doesn’t thrill me, but as it evolves, it acquires exquisite warmth and sweetness. Obviously, it’s a matter of opinion, even pH, but I dare to say it’s one of the best fragrances I’ve tried. It has incredible staying power, without being intrusive at any point (despite that herbal opening), leaving a very seductive and mysterious trail. An EXCEPTIONAL scent. Radiant, very refined, and enigmatic.

  • It’s a captivating scent where almonds and vanilla become almost narcotic thanks to the tonka bean. It transports me back to childhood; it reminds me a lot of the smell of Chabel dolls.

  • I liked it, a very sophisticated vanilla. If it weren’t for the overdose of pepper, it would already be mine.

  • I love it; I don’t know what it is, but it obsesses me. I smelled it on a friend who bought it at duty free a while ago; since then, I’ve hunted for it in every perfume store like crazy. They only sold it at El Corte Inglés and it was expensive (though it’s worth it) until I found it online for under 40 euros. I remember meeting a guy on a trip, and when I said goodbye, he asked me to gift it to him. It’s undoubtedly very attractive, and I wouldn’t change it for anything.

  • Immensely enveloping, warm, and classy. It has a unisex touch, but it’s controlled and not masculine at all. It’s super addictive with a noticeable sillage and excellent longevity. OUTSTANDING!

  • lamujerdetinta

An intense, mature vanilla aroma that subtly envelops you all day with a creamy, aromatic warmth and a slight spicy kick. A winter metonymy.

  • Casablanca77

A classy oriental fragrance, just like everything else Lalique creates… that medicinal touch mentioned in reviews is noticeable at first and lingers on my skin for about half an hour. After that, it leaves a delicious trail of vanilla and tonka bean, enhanced by flowers and incense that make it truly unique. I’ve never smelled anything quite like it; it’s special and makes you feel special. Its sillage isn’t aggressive, yet you will definitely stand out because it’s an exquisite, high-end combination. I can only imagine a true lady wearing this, yet it also inspires a youthful, highly personal vibe. If you want to stand out in a refined, elegant, and unusual way… Le Parfum is perfect, especially an hour after application. At that point, it projects a soft but far from weak charisma. It’s an original oriental with unusual beauty, and in my opinion, it perfectly reflects the person wearing it.

  • Casablanca77

As I start to explore this perfume, I realize how beautiful it is. So far, among all the Lalique scents I’ve tested, I can confidently say this is the best from the house. Thanks to Annie01 for recommending it, I’ve rediscovered something wonderful that I haven’t felt in years… it’s marvelous, full of facets, and every single one is exquisite. Its opening, once I got used to that medicinal note, now I love it more and more—I’d even say I’m passionate about it. The heart is a work of art, and the dry down is the most delicate, tender vanilla imaginable. I recommend anyone looking for something special to give it a try, because on the first sniff, that medicinal aspect might seem unusual if you’ve never encountered anything like it (not unpleasant, just distinct), but after a few wears, you’ll truly grasp its full essence. I’ll repeat myself, even if I sound like a broken record: it’s gorgeous, magnificent, beautiful, and undeniably special. I know it will take time to find a scent that moves me with such beauty as this one, and maybe I’ll never find another. Thank you, Annie01.

  • I followed your advice and bought this fragrance blind, and I must say I’m thrilled. I completely agree with what you said; there’s an initial medicinal scent, but then the soft, elegant, rich vanilla aroma is delicious. Nothing scandalous, but you notice the fragrance all day long. I can’t define nuances, but I can tell you it’s among my top favorites. Besides, compared to others, it’s not expensive. Lalique, a discovery… What other fragrances from this brand do you recommend?

  • Casablanca77

It’s incredibly exquisite with a unique sweetness so delightful that even if I don’t wear it that day, I can’t stop smelling it, and I find myself shaking with excitement… This never happened to me years ago. If someone told me right now I could only own one perfume, I’d choose this one, which is very unusual for me since I’ve never decisively picked a favorite… but I simply can’t imagine not having it in my collection. The thought of giving it up gives me chills; I’ve finally found my other half. I won’t say anything more; let’s not call the storm. Regarding other Lalique fragrances I’m trying again, I can say they all have something special, they are elegant and usually unusual. In my opinion, the one that resembles this a bit is Satine, it has some sparkle of Le Parfum, and it’s very pleasant and soft. Because I have Encre Noire in my collection, I can say it’s completely romantic with a delicate yet deep rose scent, a bit more special, and you always have to test before buying because it changes depending on who wears it and how. Perles de Lalique is intense at the start, and on my skin, wood, pepper, and talc dominate, very elegant, but it can be different on each skin, better to try it. Azalee de Lalique has made me fall in love because it’s a floral chypre and the peach is delicious. Everyone is unique, tastes may vary, but it’s true that all Lalique fragrances are excellent, even Nilang, which has a sweet touch but doesn’t intensify and isn’t heavy. I’ve also tried Living Lalique and I love it: woody and musky, as expected, it’s masculine yet feminine, which I like. As for Le Parfum, Satine seems similar so far, and I keep experimenting because this house has very interesting fragrances. If you know more, let me know, because a colleague here told me about a similar fragrance in components, Nuits Indiennes by Jean-Louis Scherrer, and it’s delicious. Annie01 was right as always, the thing is, since I already have Le Parfum and a few more bottles ordered, this one stays there for now, but it smells wonderful too.

  • Finally found my signature scent: many I liked, but none stood out… until now. Lalique could not have chosen a better name: Le Parfum. Elegant, exquisite, delicious, enveloping, aromatic. Perfume made perfect. Thanks to my favorite stones, amethysts, I had my first encounter with the house Lalique. Their perfume Amethyst caught my eye with the purple bottle and the name, and I couldn’t resist. Since then, I’ve been completely captivated by Lalique’s spell, and there are now seven standout perfumes in my collection. My latest purchases are L’amour and Satine, Christmas gifts. Back to Le Parfum… what can I say? It’s the perfect perfume for me. I’ve always preferred soft, floral, powdery scents. I didn’t dare buy an oriental for fear it might be too strong, but being Lalique and reading the reviews, I took a blind risk (in Barcelona this brand isn’t well-known, and neither perfumeries nor El Corte Inglés told me they no longer carried them). The experience was a pleasant surprise. It’s a modern, soft, and discreet oriental. It’s not cloying or overwhelming. It unfolds in two facets: on one hand, lots of vanilla and tonka bean; on the other, the herbal touch of laurel. At first, right after spraying, it smells herbal and medicinal, which I love. I think this aromatic note is what makes it so original. The vanilla appears later in a sophisticated and elegant way, nothing gourmand or overly sweet. It’s a very balanced and discreet fragrance, far from the dense eighties orientals. It lasts more than 12 hours with a moderate sillage. I recommend it for cold weather, since the vanilla is warm and enveloping. It comforts me and brings to mind a living room with a fireplace and snow falling. Other Laliques that captivated me: Amethyste, a burst of berries with roses and peonies, luminous and cheerful; Perles, smells like a rose garden after a blizzard, spicy, spiced, and camphorated, very special; Lalique de Lalique, tender, delicate, elegant, sweet, and powdery, a classic of the 90s; Satine, beautiful but with poor longevity, sensual, intimate, and ethereal; Encre Noire, deep rose and musk, romantic and mysterious; L’amour, tender and romantic, with lots of neroli and narcissus.

  • Thanks, Casablanca77, you gave some excellent advice, I’ve verified it, so I’ll try the ones you mentioned.

  • Spicy and warm… I love the scent from start to finish. That fluffy dry-down comforts me, and the heat gives it a slightly sexy vibe. A fragrance with character, not overly common, which I adore. Addictive, provocative, yet soothing. I notice sharp shifts on my skin: it starts medicinal and spicy, then dries down to be vanilla-like and elegant. I’m just as fascinated by the liquid as I am by the bottle design. I’d categorize it as unisex. It’s become a must-have in my collection.

  • LALIQUE LE PARFUM: Today I tried Le Parfum by Lalique. Unlike most people, what I like most is the top note, probably that black pepper they mention. It smells like resins to me, and I love it. Afterward, I barely notice the other components. On my skin, it’s almost imperceptible. After half an hour, it smells very pleasant, but I have to press my nose close to detect it. I sense a warm, slightly powdery, and elegant aroma; although honestly, it lasts for hours. I sprayed several drops on my scarf, and it didn’t show up much either. What a pity… I wish it were more intense on the skin in spring or summer. The bottle is a jewel, even the cap with its crystal bas-relief is gorgeous.

  • Hi chelo1, I buy them all online; otherwise, they’re usually available at El Corte Inglés.

  • Once again, thinking about taking a break from shopping and swapping with Rebecavpf, a thousand thanks, I hate you, it’s not a joke! It has created a vital need for me to get it. The opening is an explosion of pink pepper, light bergamot, and a delightful fresh, singular woody resinous medicinal note that makes me wonder what it is. Malagueta, almost a cousin. Welcome. The floral notes are subtle, especially a sweet, caramelized, slightly talc-like heliotrope. The base is moving: a vanilla scent with almond and sandalwood that grants unparalleled creaminess, enveloping a balsamic tonka bean that has me spellbound. It has the most exquisite velvet vanilla I’ve ever found. Addictive, next. Full of sensuality, elegance, and tenderness. It calms and soothes me; for formal events, it conveys security and wraps me in a warm duvet, making me feel at home. It’s a talc-like perfume, which I expected in Teint de Neige without its sour pink accord; Le Parfum surpasses that sourness and makes it delicately sweet. A cross between this fragrance and Samsara, softer and more versatile. It’s a light, non-overpowering vanilla oriental that wraps me for 7 hours with medium sillage. Ideal for autumn and winter, day and night. Nothing expensive for how beautiful it is. An injustice I plan to take advantage of before it goes up in price or gets reformulated. A potential unisex, though I like it more on women, very feminine. Very French, for special occasions or when you want to leave your mark. Its heavy glass bottle is gorgeous, like almost all from this house, where the container is as important as the content. I loved it a lot, and it will definitely be on my list for these upcoming Christmas holidays, yes or yes, looking for deals.

  • RenataMISTICA

This perfume is extremely distinguished; just smelling it makes you happy and feel like the best in the world. It delights the senses and charms anyone who passes by. I love it and recommend it; it’s one of the few good ones out there.

  • VainillaDulce

Lalique Le Parfum smells like classic elegance and beauty without being vintage. Its strong structure convinces, the warm notes envelop, and its presence captivates. It’s a magical blend that enchants. It opens with a strange but not annoying medicinal vibe that keeps you on edge. Then you perceive the green note of laurel, playful with pink pepper, and sandalwood joins heliotrope and almonds. Tonka bean triumphs with a real, soft, and sublime vanilla. It closes with a shy patchouli. It’s a beautiful oriental scent full of nuances and magic; the more I smell it, the more I love it. Guarantees an olfactory journey of emotions, shine, and glamour. Sillage and longevity of 10.

  • Buy blind based on Raquel73’s reviews without regrets. As Remy says, it’s addictive. My liquid has a slight pinkish tint, which already hints that it’s a distinct elixir. I can’t describe the notes, just that it’s unique. It wraps around you like a hug, elevates the senses, and calms anxiety. It’s essential in my nights; a little on wrists and neck, and I sleep better. I don’t wear it outside, only for sleeping and letting all the bad stuff fade into an aromatic symphony. The medicinal notes are soft, herbal, balsamic, creamy, and intoxicating. I’d rate it an 8, not pyramidal like vintage Magie Noire, but with notes that come and go. Upon spraying, I can’t stop smelling it. I recommend it to everyone to try it on their skin.

  • What else can I say about this fragrance if everything is already written? After reading Raquel73, I wanted it instantly, and fortunately, I got it years ago. The opening is a concentrated infusion of laurel, almost bitter, that medicinal note they mention, and yes, it’s intense. Imagine a magic elixir bottle with a herbal vapor when you open it. It evolves into something comforting, bitter and sweet, vanilla-like with a soft dry-down and long-lasting. A perfect hug for winter.

  • The bottle is gorgeous, elegant, and very distinguished… although, unfortunately, the scent on my skin is not.

  • I bought it because of the praise, and it’s a charm, but no one mentions it lasts only two hours. The scent is excellent, but if a perfume is quality, it should last at least five. I loved it, but due to its extremely low longevity, I give it a 4.

  • Paloma, I believe you 100% about Lalique: even though you liked it, on my skin, it vanishes in a breath. I have four high-end perfumes that last hours, but these fade in two, leaving barely a trace. I suppose it’s my pH; sometimes it changes the scent, makes it sweeter, or almost cancels it out completely, so don’t be surprised if it happens to you too.

  • I’ve been torn between loving and hating Le Parfum for five years. Five years reading glowing reviews and a few less enthusiastic voices, wondering what Lalique deserves respect for in terms of perfumery merits. The bottles are gorgeous, but the contents… what on earth is it? I have a complicated and unsatisfying relationship with Le Parfum. I feel for it like I feel for that guy you like who everyone thinks is all goodness and sincerity; they encourage you to give him a chance because it suits you and will surely make you happy, but after a few dates, he becomes unbearable because he’s not fun, doesn’t turn you on, and eventually, you just don’t vibe with him. You end up feeling guilty because no one understands why you don’t like him, and because that idiot ends up saying you gave him hope and you’re the worst. That’s Le Parfum, a traitor. I’ve known him for five years and I hate him. Because based on its notes, he seemed perfect for me, but he’s an impostor. He suits me better caressing a man’s skin than a woman’s, smelling of weeds, citrus, and pipe tobacco, promising to be vanilla, almond, sandalwood… To top it off, it doesn’t last a single breath. “It has a lot of personality,” some would say, and they’re right; it’s just that his personality doesn’t suit me, and I forgive him for that. It’s not because of me, Le Parfum, it’s because of you.

  • It’s a pretty and elegant perfume, talc-like and vanilla. But on my skin, it becomes very ‘aristocratic’—not in an old lady way, but overly heavy. I’m not into occasion perfumes, and this Lalique never quite fits me; it feels ‘too much.’ Unfortunately, the projection is fleeting, and I don’t detect the bergamot or pink pepper. The heliotrope dominates, giving it that talc-like, makeup-like tone. I’m not reliable with longevity, but it stuck to my skin and soaked into my clothes until the next day. I’m glad it has such loyal fans because, I insist, it is beautiful. For now, it’s leaving my collection, but maybe I’ll come back to it later…

  • I have a total weakness for the Lalique house. I’m fascinated by their bottles and usually buy their perfumes hoping they’ll hook me. Plus, they’re available at fantastic prices, who could resist? Lalique Le Parfum has been a successful addition to my collection. Although that note might discourage many people, personally, that original opening of laurel fascinates me. It adds a particular character, an aromatic and medicinal aspect. Pink pepper is noticeable but very balanced, with a slight spark. Heliotrope is noticeable immediately, with its powdery point, and almond. And above all, a delicious spiced vanilla with a sandalwood base dominates. It has moderate sillage; honestly, I wish it were more potent, and it lasts 7 hours on my skin. I find it versatile, usable in many environments because it’s not invasive, in all seasons except very hot summer days. It’s available on Notino for about 25 euros for 100 ml (I also bought it on promo with free shipping), and at that price, it’s a gift. Magnificent work by Dominique Ropion. Scent 8/10, Longevity 7/10, Sillage 6.5/10, Value/Price 8/10, Versatility 8/10, Packaging 7.5/10. Would I buy it again? Yes.

  • I liked the perfume. If you enjoy perfumes like Hypnotic Poison, sweet oriental scents that aren’t cloying, it also reminds me of Lolita Lempika from 1997; I perceive an anise and camphor note that makes me recall it. I liked the laurel note, but it gives it a more serious character than other vanilla-based perfumes. You can sense quality and good craftsmanship.

  • Almost 8 years after my first review, it remains one of my favorites. The perfume was reformulated when they changed the bottle, and I’d dare say at least one more time. It’s no longer as thick or oily as before, so it has lost some longevity, but I have a large backup bottle. I spray it on the roots of my hair, the nape of my neck, and inside my ears, so it lasts longer. I also use it for layering, as it’s excellent for that. On the plus side, compared to recent amber-based perfumes I’ve bought, like Guerlain’s Bois d’Arménie or Carolina Herrera’s Amber Desire, which stay close to the skin and project nothing, and are expensive, this Lalique feels like it has more sillage. It’s a huge fiasco. In the end, I finish by layering all three. Le Parfum isn’t a pure vanilla perfume; if you’re looking for that, it’s not its main note. It’s more of a balsamic fragrance with sandalwood and tonka, and it’s unisex, though the musk makes it lean feminine for me. At the price I get it, I think it’s among the best in its line; some niches can’t even reach its heels.

  • username21

I love Lalique perfumes, besides their beautiful bottles. This scent is very warm and hugging; I wear it on cold days and it fixes well. I have Byzance by Rochas from 2019, and my nose is familiar with them: they aren’t the same but share similarities. I think they are perfect for women who don’t like gourmand scents, keeping a very beautiful and elegant vanilla.

  • Of course, Lalique doesn’t care about trends. As another reviewer said, their perfumes are ‘unusual,’ and Le Parfum is the most confusing. The opening surprises: words like medicinal or balsamic. I’m going to say something crazy: to me, it comes across as bitter and oily, like pomace oil. I know it sounds weird, but that bitterness is what I like most and makes it different. It persists when dry, though attenuated. When the vanilla emerges, it adds an interesting touch, stripping away the ‘dessert’ label but staying sweet at the end. I perceive little sandalwood, but it’s there. Longevity and projection are moderate. I like it a lot and understand why it’s a signature scent for many. I advise against buying blindly and suggest trying it several times. The dry-down varies by person and season. I leave many pretentious and ‘delicious’ niche perfumes in the dust of a house slipper, but that’s another topic. Another day, if that.

  • DaviniaTolkien

Wow, what a beautiful vanilla, even better than Byzance. Super tender, tasty, and addictive.

  • DaviniaTolkien

I’ve been wearing it for two days and it’s a gorgeous, original vanilla. Yes, it has a medicinal vanilla opening, but I like that touch, probably from the laurel. The bottle says it has black pepper, a spicy chili for curry, but my nose doesn’t detect that, nor pink pepper, peony, or jasmine. It’s relatively linear; after about 3 or 4 hours, it becomes a nice vanilla—not dessert-like, nor extremely luxurious, but comforting with a medicinal hint that gives me vitality. It doesn’t resemble Byzance, which is vintage and soft; Lalique is timeless. I use it in the heat and it performed well; I’m sure it’s better in the cold. The bottle is beautiful, the sprayer is a bit loose but invites more. It’s easily repurchased at the price. It lasts 4 to 6 hours (fading at the end), but it’s hot right now and isn’t reliable in this season. The sillage hasn’t been praised by others, but in my room, that unique medicinal vanilla stays and I love it. Worth it, guys, if you want to smell original and good, buy it.

  • Goldcherry19

Thank God I got to discover another Lalique masterpiece; along with Perles and Amethyst, they confirm the brand has magic. Le Parfum is enigmatic due to that perfect harmony between balsamic and herbal notes with vanilla. It has great longevity and sillage, ideal for autumn and winter. I wouldn’t recommend it for a specific occasion because I’d wear it always, but its elegance makes it stand out at parties. It’s a beautiful ode to perfumery, I give it a 10. By the way, it reminded me of Dior Addict Eau de Parfum because of the balsamic notes, but Lalique is much better for me.

  • It’s a herbal, feminine, warm, elegant, and timeless vanilla. If this were from a major house, with a movie star endorsement, and priced at hundreds of dollars, it would be a total hit. The only downside is it might sound a bit ‘matronly,’ more suited for women in their 40s.

  • Cool, this vanilla isn’t the beast that is Shalimar, but something lighter, maybe due to the almonds. I only detect three things: vanilla, almonds, and dry tonka bean, with a touch of patchouli. Nothing medicinal; it’s a simple fragrance because from the moment you wear it, it smells good without being overwhelming. I put it on three hours ago and it’s still there, becoming powdery. Everyone will decide the intensity based on their skin. I highly recommend it.
