It’s a musk explosion accompanied at the beginning by blackcurrants. I own several perfumes with blackcurrant, and I have to say they don’t always manage to “tame” such a prominent note, unless they dilute it a lot to make it part of a whole; other experiments end up flat and almost childish because they’re so basic. Here, although the blackcurrant is at the limit of what I can handle, it has a counterpoint in the bergamot and mandarin that, far from sweetening, give it sparkling nuances that moderate the wildness of the first note. Over time, the sandalwood takes over, adding warmth, a touch of silkiness, and cleanliness to a musk that has been present all along. It survived several hours on my skin and all night under the duvet, a fire test that allows me to categorize it as having considerable longevity. I consider it unisex, and on a woman’s skin it must be irresistible.
White light and inner peace, that’s what I felt when I tried it. ‘Musk Therapy’ starts with a fruity top note of very tart blackcurrant and lemon. Then comes a light floral touch and a soft musk that’s comforting. The musk is what stands out the most, and thank God it doesn’t smell dirty or animalic, which I love. I’m surprised there’s no milky note listed, but it gives me that sensation. The dry down is pure creamy musk thanks to the sandalwood. It gives me the same vibe as Bal D’Afrique but much more musky and fluffy. Maybe it’s like a lemon lotion. People compare it to Signature by Montblanc, I haven’t tried that so I won’t say anything, but that one seems very sweet and vanilla-like. It’s soft, delicate, clean, bright, and warm. It brings calm and peace. Unisex, leaning feminine. Sillage and longevity are moderate. I’ll keep the sample for summer, hoping it doesn’t evaporate; I think that’s its perfect climate. Out of the Initio scents I’ve tried so far, I’m sticking with ‘Absolute Aphrodisiac’.
Not a single peep. It’s a super common scent that smells like an Avon perfume.
This perfume is pure cleanliness: innocent, unobtrusive, and on sunny days it leaves you feeling clean and classy. It doesn’t try to stand out because its projection is low, but it lasts all day. Perfect for brunches with friends in spring, going to work, or those errand runs to the grocery store or church. 😛
I didn’t like this perfume at first; it smelled like laundry detergent. Since I only had 5ml, I had to find a reason to wear it. There’s a Downy fabric softener that smells almost exactly like this perfume, which was disappointing for me, especially given all the hype (not to mention its astronomical price). But today, heading to the airport, I wanted to wear something light, non-invasive, that made me smell better than nothing. I wore J’Adore perfume d’eau (the white version, alcohol-free) and sprayed Musk Therapy over it. It smelled heavenly, literally like a morning angel. It has moderate sillage (respectful to others) and impressive longevity. Best of all, it no longer smells like laundry or Downy, but like a white paradise. I recommend Musk Therapy for layering. It’s expensive, but mixed with certain perfumes, it makes a wonderful difference.

But today, heading back to the airport, I wanted to wear something light, non-invasive, that would make me smell better than nothing. I put on the alcohol-free J’Adore perfume d’eau (the white one) and then sprayed Musk Therapy on top. It smells absolutely celestial, literally like a morning angel. It has moderate sillage (respectful of others) and impressive longevity. And the best part is that it no longer smells like laundry or Downy, but rather like a white paradise. I recommend Musk Therapy for layering; it’s expensive, but mixed with certain perfumes it really creates a masterpiece.
I expected less from this perfume than what I found. I was prepared for a translucent, ethereal white musk with hints of white florals like Omnia Cristaline by Bvlgari or Musc Essence by Narciso Rodríguez, but I was wrong. It’s not an animalic, dark musk, nor does it even remotely approach the ‘Incisive Musk’ of Musky Garden by Mancera. Like all Initio fragrances I’ve tried, Musk Therapy feels enormously synthetic (which isn’t necessarily bad, as I often note). This musk is like a white mist enveloping everything, blocking your view beyond arm’s reach—a nebula that absorbs all, with lactonic facets, a touch of blackcurrant fruit (a note that usually doesn’t make me comfortable in women’s perfumes, as over half my collection is), and another fruity note that feels medicinal with a soft, sugary, dusty residue taste like opened tea bags. I detect floral notes only after several hours when the composition settles, but it still retains that medicinal vibe, very white like milk of magnesia and fabric softener. I’m torn about this one. I liked Side Effects despite having similar unmet expectations, and Oud for Greatness is pleasant and has broader appeal (or at least fits my profile better), but this leaves me undecided. I wouldn’t recommend it to many people. Still, its performance on my skin is notable, with decent projection for the first hour and a half and longevity of over 6 hours. As always, try it on skin and draw your own conclusions.
Clean white musk, fluffy, slightly sweet, like clean skin, sexy, warm, slightly animalic, provocative, attractive… A super versatile marvel, easy to wear anytime, anywhere, and easy to like. It’s not a complex scent; to me, it’s like smelling a sky full of white clouds. I consider it perfect as a signature fragrance. It changes a lot on skin; on paper, it didn’t say much, but wearing it made my partner and me fall in love. I’ve received many compliments. Quality is great, lasting about 12 hours on skin with moderate sillage, which I perceive in bursts. I love it! It reminds me a lot of the discontinued perfume I wore most in my teens; MT is a bit more mature and less fruity but shares the same DNA: Peach Blossom by Tommy Hilfiger.
I tried a sample gifted with another purchase. I’m not a fan of ‘clean’ scents, especially musk-focused ones, but the name ‘Therapy’ and the packaging’s promise of ‘a path to inner peace’ caught my eye, so I wore it late, almost before bed. It’s very soft and relaxing—a sweet musk enhanced by fruits that creates a harmonious, pleasant aroma. Probably won’t buy it, as musk alone isn’t my favorite and it feels too simple for me, though it might appeal to those seeking soft scents or layering options.
Indeed, it smells clean. It has the type of musk found in Valaya and at the same time resembles Montblanc Signature but without the Ylang Ylang (which I hate) or the Benzoin. It seems like a better blend than Signature, much less loud. It’s pretty, but I’m not sure if I’d invest that much in a ‘freshy’—it’s not my favorite olfactory profile.

It’s not a complex scent; I think it’s like smelling a sky full of white clouds. I consider it perfect as a signature perfume. It changes a lot on skin; on paper it didn’t say much to me, but once I wore it, I fell in love with it, and so did my partner. I’ve received many compliments with it. Very good quality, lasts about 12 hours on skin with medium sillage, which I perceive in bursts. I love it!! It reminds me a lot of the perfume I used most in my adolescence, which was discontinued, with MT being a bit more mature and less fruity but sharing the same DNA: Peach Blossom by Tommy Hilfiger.
It’s deep winter in the Southern Hemisphere, and knowing it wasn’t the best time to try Musk Therapy, I grabbed a 10ml decant because I literally couldn’t get it out of my head. I’m a ‘Musk’ lover; I adore many of its facets, including the clean, soapy, fluffy ones. At first, the bergamot and blackcurrant on my skin left me indifferent, and the softener-like opening was bold. But after hours, as my skin warmed it up, the musk bubble grew, and I discovered something… it puts me in a good mood. I admit it impacted me. It’s not the most surprising, elegant, or seductive, but I feel ultra-comfortable in it. Even great classics in the ‘clean scent’ category haven’t achieved this. I slept, walked, worked, and shopped wearing it until I finally bought the bottle. I surrender to this sense of well-being. It’s astonishing how such a minimalist, almost ‘laundry-like’ scent can do this. For comparison, I use Pure Musc by NR (a masterpiece) and Signature by Montblanc (ultra-comforting), yet Musk Therapy feels futuristic, almost holistic and loving. Thanks, INITIO, for raiding my finances with this wonder.
It’s a clean, white scent that drifts toward being slightly sweet. It’s precisely this sweet touch that, in my opinion, makes it more feminine, though a man could wear it perfectly. This perfume undergoes the same thing as the original Eight & Bob: it sweetens more as it dries, and with very high temperatures, it can become a bit saturated, though not excessively. Attenuated citrus, white florals, creaminess, and sweetness, with a bitter touch that transforms that whiteness into a light gray. It smells great, too bad that sweet scents aren’t my favorite, and perhaps that’s why I won’t buy the bottle. It appears to last quite a bit and leaves a trail. Versatile for any occasion and all year round, except in extreme temperatures, especially high heat.
It smells so clean that it literally smells like soap. I don’t dislike it—even though I’m not a fan of this type of scent, I’m enjoying the decant—but I wouldn’t spend what it costs just to smell like soap. I must say, it lasts and projects much better than other perfumes in this category, so if that’s what you’re looking for, go for it.
This is the mood I’m in right now in my life. Perfect. Smells clean, like fluffy clouds, slightly sweet; I absolutely love it and wear it every chance I get at the counter. I’m not sure if I’d buy the bottle for the price since I already have WT&B by Maison Francis Kurkdjian and it gives me the same vibe, so I’m doubtful. Interestingly, I wore Dior Gris on the other hand at the same time, and they seem like very similar soapy scents, though MT is sweeter. On the other hand, it doesn’t remind me of Montblanc Signature as people say; that one is more energizing and citrusy, while this is delicate and relaxing. Nothing alike.
Initio perfumes are just precious… and this one is so different from the other scents I’ve tried from the brand. It opens with a vibrant, acidic citrus-fruit burst already blended with musk. As it dries down, the fruity notes recede, giving way to white florals and, above all, sandalwood, turning into a slightly sweeter, creamier composition where the star remains the sheer abundance of clean white musk—never losing that soapy freshness. This has nothing to do with the dirty, animalic musk found in other Initio creations like Absolute Aphrodisiac. This is white, simple, clean, spotless… and for me, there’s nothing particularly sensual or attractive about it. It feels more harmless, like a daily wear scent. Unisex, totally daytime, and ideal for spring/summer. Lasts around 10-12 hours on skin with strong projection and sillage for at least the first 4 hours. Truth be told, I liked it, but I won’t buy it because it’s not the kind of aroma I enjoy most. Plus, I think there are similar, more affordable options out there right now. If I were to buy a musk scent soon, it would probably be The Musc by Parfums.
I love blackcurrants, though here the musk dominates. It smells crisp, impeccable, and cozy. It gives off a luxurious spa vibe. A nice perfume, very ‘clean girl’! Although it wouldn’t be one of my first purchases from INITIO.
I love blackcurrants, although in this perfume the musk predominates; it’s a scent that feels impeccable, neat, and cozy. A luxurious spa sensation. A beautiful, very clean girl perfume! Although it wouldn’t be one of my first purchases from INITIO.
I didn’t realize how little I could handle musk until I tried this. I can’t stand it directly; that note feels grating and shrill, I don’t perceive anything else, and it makes me feel physically uncomfortable. That said, it lasts, and it lasts—there’s no way to get it off your skin.
I didn’t realize how little I could handle musk until I tried this perfume. I can’t stand it directly; that touch seems so grating and shrill to me that I can’t perceive anything else, and it ends up causing me discomfort. That said, it lasts, it lasts, no one can get it off the skin…
To me, this is a bridal perfume, like those by Narciso Rodriguez. As other reviews say, that sweet touch makes it more feminine. It smells clean, like soap (right after spraying, it reminds me of the gel in the shower). I imagine it with a bouquet of pink roses, daisies, and olive branches, paired with a romantic lace dress and puffed sleeves. The perfect complement to such a happy day.
Everyone wants a bit of the good stuff. It would be wrong to call it feminine; it’s fully unisex and expresses itself differently on male and female skin. On men, the fruity, citrusy, green, and woody notes stand out alongside the musk. On women, the musk takes center stage with a sweet, fruity, and floral touch layered on top. Yes, it’s a musky perfume with good projection and about 8 hours of longevity. It’s not the most surprising, elegant, or ultra-sexy. It’s for feeling comfortable with yourself, like a rainy day at home. It’s not the loud kid from Initio. You can wear it all year except in extreme heat. Perfect for work, especially in an office, healthcare, or while driving. The secret is that you have to like musk. Make up your mind. As always, test niche perfumes on your skin before buying and don’t trust the description alone.
I think it’s just my nose, but it doesn’t feel special to me at all. I saw it everywhere on social media as a powerhouse scent and went to the store with high hopes, only to be hugely disappointed by the smell. I can’t justify the price tag except for the longevity.
I’m obsessed from the very first spray, but the real magic happens in the dry-down. I tested it on my hand in the afternoon: absolutely delicious, clean, creamy, citrusy yet pleasant, with a sweet fruity note that’s almost edible. But the following night and early morning, while I was sleeping, the perfume went wild: waves of an incredibly rich scent, like smelling paradise itself. It’s an extremely rich and potent musk—that’s all I can say.
It smells like cleanliness, as if you just stepped out of the shower. You catch yourself smelling it constantly, and if it fades, you immediately search for its scent; it’s addictive and incredibly flattering. I discovered it through decants and ended up buying my third bottle. At home, my daughters and I use it; our house always smells like Musk Therapy. Highly recommended.
I had high expectations and was pleasantly surprised when I smelled it on blotter: a soft, creamy opening with a hint of sweetness. However, on my skin, it felt very intense; I’m sensitive and prefer medium-to-low projection with an elegant dry-down. Contrary to what I read, I think it projects quite a bit at first, so I applied it to my shoulders to avoid being overwhelmed. The dry-down smells like creamy soap with a milky touch. If you’re sensitive, ask for a decant first. If you love musk, give it a try—it’s different and interesting. Update: I’ve worn it for a week and it’s truly unique, going beyond its name. My nose is getting used to it. The dry-down and evolution are sublime: an innocent, tender sweetness mixed with clean freshness. Plus, it creates magic when layered with fruity perfumes like Cassili by PDM or Ambrette 9 by Le Labo; I used the latter to sleep in and it was the most pleasant finish, while also extending the longevity of Ambrette 9, which usually fades quickly. Highly recommended; this isn’t just any musk.
Putting this on is pure therapy. Few things make me feel as good as applying it. I think that’s the magic: it has a calming, oxygenating power that seems common among all of us who wear it. Initio has us falling in love with the scent and how it affects the limbic system again. To me, it smells like a soft citrus cream with a fresh white floral touch, light and almost ethereal. What sets it apart from being too heavy is the musk, which turns it into something totally clean. It’s perfect, very unisex and ideal for everyday wear, especially in warm areas. It’s not overwhelming or tiring. Its development is shy, nothing loud, but with Musk Therapy, it’s impossible to go unnoticed. You’ll be loved by everyone. The only downside: I wish it lasted a bit longer, because its projection and longevity are short. In summary: 100% unisex, versatile for any climate though it shines more in heat, formal or informal. Scent: 9.5, Longevity: 7, Sillage: 6. Price: 280 euros for 90ml, watch out, they’re selling kidneys already. It’s my fourth Initio and I don’t think I’ll stop until I have them all. I’m addicted.
It’s an incredibly creamy musk, zero sharpness, with a tiny sweet touch that makes it intoxicating without losing elegance or freshness. Imagine a dense body wash or a rich body cream; that’s the texture. On top, a cool, subtle citrus air, like a lemon sorbet, so delicious! But it doesn’t stop there; it has depth thanks to the sandalwood and flowers that round it out. In the end, it’s a clean, fresh yet creamy scent with a woody and floral note that gives it density. It’s divine and lasts all summer.
A unique and clean daily wear perfume. Unlike other perfumes known for being clean, like Y EDP or Acqua di Giò, it’s not strident; on the contrary, it’s a creamy, relaxing clean scent that fits all casual day-to-day situations. It’s expensive for a daily perfume, but if you can afford it, it’s worth it for both men and women, as it’s notably unisex.
I agree that this perfume is therapy in the sense of massages or the type of therapy you get at a spa. To me, it smells exactly like that, like a spa. It takes me to thermal baths smelling of cleanliness. Perfectly unisex. It lasts well on skin, although it doesn’t project much or leave a trail (at least in my case). I think it’s perfect for personal enjoyment or even for sleeping. That said, in my opinion, the price is excessive.
I wanted to love it, but there’s something bitter about it. It’s elegant, but there’s something there that ultimately doesn’t fit. It smells warm, elegant, clean… but then, suddenly, a bitter note emerges.
Extremely high cost for the use I would give it; a nice daily perfume. It reminded me of the scent of an expensive, minimalist-style boutique. A fresh and clean aroma. I agree it can remind one of Montblanc Signature, but without its creaminess, sweetness, and intensity. It’s a nice musk, but I don’t need to own it. I liked it, but it didn’t make me fall in love, and at those prices, I’d need to be really impressed to decide to buy it.
I recommend testing on skin before buying. It smells phenomenal on blotter, a 9 or almost a 10, but on my skin it stopped smelling so clean and fresh, and a more animalic, pure musk note appeared; the citrusy and clean magic was lost.
It’s elegant and clean, but it’s not for me. Although it’s unisex, it’s not a blind buy because on my skin it develops in a neat but animalic way that doesn’t convince me. It has excellent longevity, lasting from one day to the next on skin. Its projection is moderate. The bottle looks beautiful and the perfume has excellent quality, but considering the price and how it sits on my skin, it’s not worth it. I advise testing before buying.
I can’t be more in love with this perfume. My fiancé gave it to me as a birthday gift, and I was hypnotized. To me, it’s a clean, creamy, and elegant aroma that gives a sense of comfort and relaxation, and it lifts my mood every time I wear it. It’s my signature fragrance; it lasts all day on skin, and I can still smell it on clothes days later.
To me, this is a slightly feminine scent, especially in the dry down. At first, I detect a powdery tone that fascinates me, but then it shifts to suede and sandalwood notes that remind me a lot of Creed’s Millesime Imperial and Armaf’s Molestone. It’s a scent with strong sillage that can become overwhelming, especially in warm or crowded places. It has good longevity, but you need to know when to wear it; I recommend it for nights or cold environments. I love it, but I don’t recommend buying it without testing it first. 💯% recommended 🕉️🕉️🕉️
A gorgeous line; the whole collection smells like a high-end spa, luxury hotel, and resort, and this Musk Therapy is a beauty. The only thing holding me back is the price, but otherwise, it’s perfect.
I don’t know what makes this perfume successful. It feels like it has nothing special and is too soft. It’s true that it improves as it dries down, but it still doesn’t speak to me. I had the same feeling with Gypsy Water… Given its fame, I had high expectations, but it was a total letdown.
