Simply delicious, one of my favorites. You can smell the peonies, a floral and feminine aroma with a plum-like center. I love it.
On my skin, it’s juicy pear, peach, and banana with sugar, combined with fresh flowers like peonies, roses, and violets. I imagine those open, perfect bouquets. It’s a bright light for the mood, ideal for warm mornings and afternoons; it works here at any time. Very feminine, with a scent of warm, cozy home woods. It conveys warmth, light, and colors, like a Bèroud painting.
Banana is my least favorite fruit, but here it’s very well balanced with the other notes. It’s rich and elegant; it reminds me a lot of Ralph Lauren Romance. They don’t smell exactly the same, but they’re in the same style and I find it beautiful, worthy of the legendary Nina Ricci house.
I don’t really like eating banana on its own, but combined with other acidic fruits, it balances smoothies; that’s why I looked for this note in fruity perfumes and found it online in 30 ml. I like it: pleasant, balanced, sweet but not too much, acidic at first and soapy when it dries. I don’t detect the banana, but I do smell flowers at the end and a hint of plastic that maybe only I notice. The trail is soft, not standout, ideal for a romantic encounter. I don’t know how long it lasts because I reapply it in my bag; I’ll let you know if I buy the larger size.
I bought it blindly online and it was a mistake. It lacks the signature of the classic Nina Ricci fragrances; it smells like cheap supermarket cologne. Almost just alcohol, with barely a touch of soft banana peel, nothing gourmand, more floral. It’s supposed to evoke joy, but it’s weak and leaves a semi-soapy dry-down. I won’t repurchase.
I bought it blindly online based on reviews. It was a mistake for me. I expected the classic Nina Ricci signature, like L’Air du Temps or Fleur de Fleurs, but it’s nothing like that. It smells like any cheap drugstore cologne from Mercadona. Basically, it’s just alcohol; it barely smells like perfume, with only a very faint hint of banana peel. It’s not gourmand at all—don’t be fooled, it’s more floral if you can call it that. They say it evokes joy, maybe, at least it’s not somber, but it’s like any cheap supermarket flower, barely noticeable, leaving a semi-soapy base note at the end that isn’t worth it. I won’t be buying it again.
I first met it at 23 in a perfumery, then through a friend; very floral with hints of rose and peony, almost tipsy from that anise mixed with violets. A lovely, romantic scent. What a pity it’s disappeared, but the memories of love and friendship remain.
