Descripción

Live Irrésistible Délicieuse by Givenchy is a fruity-floral-gourmand fragrance for women. Launched in 2017, this composition was created by Dominique Ropion and Claire Liégent. The top notes evoke French pastries and cherry; the heart reveals a harmony of rose and orange blossom; while the base notes close the olfactory pyramid with a touch of caramel, bitter almond, vanilla, and iris root.

If you’re looking for sweetness and a passion for cherries, this is your perfume. The opening tickles the molars a bit—wow! It’s an indulgent, bold, sugary, and fruity scent without exception. It starts triumphantly in gourmand territory before relaxing to reveal fruity and slightly floral notes. It’s a current trend; if you like lustful sweetness without guilt, this will satisfy your desire. It carries the Givenchy seal of elegance and longevity. ADDITION: good longevity, but weak sillage, at least for how indulgent it is. It has an air of Petite Robe Noire Couture.

  • I love the entire Very Irresistible line, but Live Délicieuse is wonderful, a true sweet delight. Everyone keeps telling me it smells so delicious. If happiness had a scent, for me, it would be this one or the classic Live Irresistible.

  • It’s sweet but glamorous, not cloying. It has good longevity on the skin, feels modern and elegant.

  • darlenerock

Extremely sweet; I can’t stand it. I never applied it to my skin because one spray almost made me dizzy; it gave me a headache. I love all of Dominique’s creations, but this one felt excessive to me.

  • I tried it today at the perfumerie: I loved it! It’s a delicious fruity gourmand with excellent longevity and moderate sillage.

  • Beautiful perfume, super sweet and gourmand. At first, it smells like cherries in syrup, then the almond comes in, making it indulgent yet tender, fine, and elegant. It’s sophisticated and not cloying at all. It reminds me of Elie Saab’s Girl of Now because of the almond and the creator, Dominique Ropion; they are very similar. However, this Live Irresistible Délicieuse is more potent and long-lasting. It has great sillage, lasts forever, and I get compliments all the time. Ideal for fall/winter because it’s warm and comforting; maybe spring with moderation, but it’s too heavy for summer. If you love gourmands like I do, I recommend it a thousand times.

  • It always works in spring and summer! It’s sweet and fruity, but not cloying. The almond and cherry dry down cuts that sweetness and gives it more character. It’s ideal for girls under 25, carefree and free-spirited. It’s not a very sophisticated scent, but young people love it.

  • I don’t know why I never reviewed this; I suppose I bought it last summer and just forgot about it. If you like almond gourmand scents, don’t miss this gem. It starts strong with maraschino cherry, but gradually that delicious cake scent emerges. The flowers are barely noticeable, but they add that touch so it doesn’t smell like a cherry drink or something too edible. When it dries down, vanilla, caramel, and almond appear; all three play without competing, though the almond can take the lead. Ideal for spring and summer, with moderate trail and longevity.

As the name suggests, it’s a delight. The ultimate example of gourmand fragrances.

  • I love it! ♥♥ It has the DNA of the classic Live Irresistible, but here it doesn’t smell like pineapple or praline, but rather cherry and pastries. It feels more youthful than the original. So delicious!

  • This perfume is a delight if you like gourmand scents. The first time I tried it, I didn’t think it was special, maybe the tester was bad, but I tried it again and fell in love. Within two hours, I had already bought it; I’m very impulsive. It’s sweet, delicious, and makes you want to eat yourself. That mix of muffin, cherries, almonds, and caramel is spectacular, along with the vanilla. It lasts 10 to 11 hours with a moderate to intense trail. It’s meant to be enjoyed alone; with every movement, that aroma rises and makes you hungry; incredible, but others enjoy it too—I’ve received compliments! In short: marvelous.

Edited: What an amazing perfume! I had been looking for it for a while and finally got it; my expectations were through the roof and it didn’t disappoint. Exquisite aroma of cherries, syrup, and pastries. The first day, the longevity and trail were spectacular, but in subsequent uses, it only lasts between 3 and 6 hours. Its siblings are Girl of Now, La Belle, and its predecessor Live Irresistible EDP. If you’re hesitating, don’t—just buy it.

A catalog fragrance still easily available at Douglas in Spain. The opening is an acidic cherry bomb, smelling exactly like lollipop liquor; if you spent your late 90s adolescence in Spain, you’ll know it. For me, that opening is too much, but after 20 or 30 minutes it loses potency and smells like a muffin or cake, which is pleasant but a bit synthetic. The best part is the dry down, a very intimate fine bakery aroma. As a gourmand lover, it didn’t kill me entirely; it’s rich, but I wouldn’t buy another bottle because I don’t find that special touch others mention. My 75ml bottle will last forever. The trail is moderate, almost just for your own enjoyment, and lasts about 6 to 8 hours, which you can extend by spraying on clothes until you wash them.

  • For young people under 30, because the cherry opening and caramel base are quite strong. It’s a lovely, sweet, and enveloping fragrance with a subtle trail. Not elegant, but perfect for evening wear without being overwhelming. It reminds me of cherry gum. While it’s not my favorite, it’s ideal for breaking the routine and adding a sweet touch to an informal day or night.

This perfume is delicious with moderate sillage and feels more personal, not very flashy. It’s quite rich, but I feel it doesn’t last more than 6 hours on skin, and after the first two hours, it gets very soft. I don’t know if it’s due to reformulations and me landing on one of those versions that were supposed to be a bomb; still, it’s delicious even though it’s already discontinued. SCENT 8/10, LONGEVITY 6-7/10, SILLAGE 6/10.

  • I was waiting for it with such anticipation after reading wonders about it; since I got the EDP that I love, it was a blind buy. It’s candied cherry, the kind you know is cherry because you’re used to the artificial scent, but it’s far from the smell of real fruit, almost losing its essence. Once it dries, the bitter almond note comes out and my nose gets confused because it results in a mix of strong notes, something strident. It started to grow on me over time, but I don’t love it. If it’s like Girl of Now, only GON has a touch of elegance, while Deliciuse has that strident cherry instead of elegance; or if we compare it to Girl of Now SHINE, instead of pineapple, it’s cherry. It’s like these three were from the same family, but Deliciuse is the rebellious daughter disguised as a good girl.

  • It’s such a delicious and intense perfume… at first, it’s a gourmand bomb of sour cherry with orange blossom, and then, in the dry down, a slightly bitter almond with a touch of caramel. It seems like a cheeky and dominating perfume. I love it…😍🥰

  • It’s so rich!!! It’s a sweet fruity-gourmand, not cloying, but fresh, yet not citrusy, a wonder!

  • Despite its fame and the glowing reviews ahead of it, this perfume doesn’t seem like much to me. I gave it plenty of chances to change my mind, but just like it didn’t blow my head off from the start, I never found its charm, and it was on the verge of leaving my collection several times. It stayed because my partner convinced me it was discontinued. I’m not saying I don’t like how it smells; it has a sweet aroma where baked pastries stand out, a warm sensation of walking through a bakery. I detect notes of French sweets mixed with caramel, almond, and a fruity cherry touch. The downside is that it projects very little; the sillage is very soft, even though the longevity is good, around 9-10 hours. Maybe it lifts more in spring-summer, but the aroma seems more pleasant in winter. I usually enjoy more potent scents with better projection; this Live Irresistible Deliciuse falls short for me. EDIT: Inspired by @ZelaVie, I tried it again in the heat and liked it more. Thanks. Anyway, for me, it’s still not the promised bomb; my nose doesn’t perceive it well under certain thresholds, and its sillage still seems discreet. I’ll use it in situations seeking that profile, probably always on warm days, not in full summer due to its lack of freshness being extremely sweet. Scent 6.5/10, Longevity 9/10, Sillage 3/10, Value 4/10, Versatility 5/10, Packaging 7/10. Would I buy again? No.

Finally, I have it in my collection! I don’t understand if it’s discontinued or has limited distribution, but it was hard to track down. It’s exquisite and smells exactly as everyone says: cherry pastries. It’s very sweet, feminine, and tender. It has excellent longevity and moderate sillage.

In the movie Mean Girls, when Janis tells Cady ‘you smell like a baby prostitute,’ Lindsay was wearing this perfume. I say that with the best possible connotation; if you grew up watching those movies, you know what I mean. I had it and gave it to my sister. When I wear it, I feel like a total Mean Girl. Is it a youthful flanker, for teenagers, without development, commercial, invasive, and artificial? Yes. And paraphrasing Kris Jenner: is there a problem with that? Haha.

In Mean Girls, when Janis tells Cady she smells like a ‘prostitute baby,’ Lindsay was wearing this perfume. And I say that with the most positive connotation: if you grew up watching those movies, you know what I mean. I had it and gifted it to my sister. When I wear it, I feel like a total Mean Girl. Is it a youthful flanker for teenagers, undeveloped, commercial, invasive, and artificial? Yes. And paraphrasing Kris Jenner: is there a problem with that? Haha.

Viva Ansia left a brutal first impression, and the ‘oh my god, it’s discontinued’ comment made me buy two bottles of perfume syrup. I say syrup because it’s like jam or a topping: it’s sweet and cloying to my nose. It doesn’t smell elegant; it smells like youth, like the perfumes I wore joyfully in my early college years. It doesn’t smell bad—the aroma is pleasant—but diabetics should abstain. I hope the temperature drops to zero so I can tolerate it better and avoid a sugar rush. I like it, but it overwhelms me. Conclusion: I don’t like it that much.

  • I tested it blindly in the summer because of the hype; it opened with a boozy cherry note, but the sillage and longevity were non-existent on my skin. In winter, I finally caught the French pastry vibe, but the performance was still weak and it layered weirdly with Zara’s Sweet Pastry. I ended up swapping it after learning about the reformulation. The original Live Irresistible EDP had impeccable longevity and sillage, so I’m sticking with that one.

I tried one and loved it; I think this is it or it isn’t. But the one I have smells very sweet.

  • I bought it recently; it was a blind buy. I personally loved it because it’s super sweet and the cherry note is very noticeable. I think it’s better suited for spring.

  • I tried it for the first time in spring on a fresh day and noticed the almond-heavy French pastry note with a pleasant cherry, but it felt soft, fleeting, and lasted only 3-4 hours very close to the skin; I was disappointed, especially regarding longevity and projection. I used it again on a hot day and liked it much more: sweeter, more intense cherry, and 6-8 hours of longevity with moderate projection. Occasionally, I’d catch bursts of that sweet, slightly bitter cherry. Without a doubt, it’s for daytime, specifically a hot day where you want to feel coquettish, like a doll because you want to feel sweet and seductive. The more I use it, the more I like it. Despite appearances, it’s not childish or cheap; you have to enjoy cherry, almond, and sweetness to appreciate it. It’s not your typical lollipop perfume; it’s a bit more complex and evolving, I suppose chemistry and time play a huge role with this scent. When I bought it blind, I was looking for something similar to La Petite Robe Noire EDP by Guerlain, and while both are cherry-based, they’re not alike: La Petite Robe Noire is more elegant, original, and innocent, equally playful and cute, but less sexy and cloying.

  • Not bad, but not what I expected. I was hoping for a much more youthful and less serious aroma. Plus, I struggle to detect the notes. Where are the French pastries? Simply not for me. If anyone in Chile is interested, message me… it’s already sold.

  • Ugh, what a gem of a perfume; it hurts so much that it’s discontinued. Among my most gourmand scents, it smells like a cherry pastry with lots of nuts, creamy down to the last drop and very sweet, exquisite by nature. The longevity is extreme and I expected nothing less; Givenchy offers quality at its finest.

  • I bought a partial thinking it was the first EDP version; it was full summer and it was a bust—I didn’t like it, didn’t smell the pastry note, it overwhelmed me, and I tucked it away at the back of the closet. I tried it again on a fresh spring afternoon, around 22 degrees, and wow! There it was, the pastry note with a cherry on top. Delicious. I think it’s ideal for cool climates; literally, you smell like a cherry and nut pastry.

  • It’s rich but not what I expected, since it was a blind buy because it was discontinued. I thought it would be pure cherry juice and well-sweetened caramelized almond notes. Upon spraying, I sensed creamy almonds, but as it dried, the lily root was very prominent and ended up overpowering the cherry, which struggled to hold its own. I like it, we were in spring in Argentina when I bought it, so I’ll give it a use, but I wouldn’t repurchase.

Live Irresistible Delicieuse is as sweet as the rest of the line: yes. But in winter, it feels sweet and powdery without being tiring. You can detect the cherries; they aren’t boozy. The fragrance is dry and powdery, as if it has a touch of iris. Longevity is good, at least 6 hours on skin and more on clothes. If you like the LI EDT, you’ll love this version.

  • I already had a discontinued 50ml bottle of this fragrance and felt bad using it up. I received it in a swap without much enthusiasm: I tried it once, it didn’t say much to me, and I put it away. Today I tried it again and was surprised. First, there’s an intense rose, followed by a very sweet cherry, like maraschino, nothing fresh. The vanilla adds just enough to make it pastry-like without being cloying. At first, it projects a lot, then it softens. In the end, it remains sweet, powdery, and elegant thanks to the lily root. It’s an adult gourmand, distinct from the trendy fruity scents, and I loved rediscovering it.

  • Mitafragance

More than masculine, it’s a luxury that’s hard to hold onto. It’s rich, blending gourmand notes with fruit and florals, yet it doesn’t smell like a straight dessert, even if others perceive it that way. It’s feminine and cute, but amidst so many options today, it doesn’t stand out to me: poor projection, short longevity, and it fades quickly. Pretty, cute, and sweet, but that’s about it.
