Descripción

L'Instant de Guerlain Eau de Toilette by Guerlain is a floral fragrance for women. Launched in 2005, this composition was created by perfumer Maurice Roucel. Upon release, the fragrance unfolds a vibrant freshness thanks to Granny Smith apple, bergamot, tangerine, and black currant. The heart reveals an elegant florality with magnolia, gardenia, jasmine, neroli, and lily of the valley, while the base settles on a warm amber note.

  • I had it and couldn’t wait to finish it, but once it was done, I gave it away. It reminded me too much of the smell of very ripe, almost overripe oranges, just that and amber; it wasn’t to my taste. I’ll try the Eau Parfum version with iris, which they say is more powdery.

  • The first time I used it, I didn’t like it at all, but the second time I loved its opening and heart. I wish it had lasted longer. In the end, only an amber or vanilla scent remained.

I can’t stop smelling it; it’s an exquisite, elegant, and timeless scent—simply unmatched. If you get the chance, try it on your skin, not on paper. It’s pure bliss!

I never get tired of smelling it; it seems such an exquisite, elegant, and timeless aroma, so, so, unparalleled. If you have the chance to smell it in a perfumery, do it on your skin, not on paper. What a delight!

  • The EDT accompanied me for almost 10 years and I believe it was the most representative fragrance I’ve ever had. A few months ago I bought the EDP and gave it to my sister because it’s too much for me. I will definitely go back to the EDT; for me, it’s Guerlain’s best creation. I love it! Edit: After 7 years, I got the EDT again. It’s completely timeless; I feel the same emotion smelling it. It’s sweet but refined, not cloying or heavy, adorable and warm. It makes me feel like a Lady. There is no greater beauty in a fragrance nor greater pleasure in using one than what this provokes. No other fragrance generates so much pride, love, and beauty in me. It will always be the love of my olfactory life.

  • This perfume was a gift from a friend when I was 20. I loved it so much and received so many compliments. It’s a charming perfume.

  • It’s a bomb of white flowers, especially an extraordinary jasmine and amber, reminding me of Alien, though no one has said so. The neroli, or bitter orange blossom, might seem cheap to some, hehe, but I think it’s just its bitter touch, like almonds in Amaretto, making it very characteristic. I think it will appeal to those who prefer intense, sweet florals without those trendy red fruits. It smells classic and elegant, without being loud but impactful, long-lasting and leaving a trail. It would work as a ‘personal signature’ since it’s not as seen as other Guerlain scents; it’s like the little neglected girl in the house, always in the background but with so much to offer.

  • It’s a bomb of white flowers, especially incredible jasmine and amber that remind me of Alien. The neroli, which some might find a bit harsh, haha, is just its bitter touch, like almonds or Amaretto, giving it character. It’s ideal for those who want intense, sweet florals without those trendy red fruits. It smells classic and elegant, understated yet powerful, long-lasting and with great sillage. It works like a ‘personal signature’; it’s not as common as other Guerlain scents, like the overlooked little sister of the house that has so much to offer 🙂

  • L’Instant Eau de Toilette makes me dream of a large, luxurious kitchen with black marble over gleaming white furniture, bathed in autumn sunlight streaming through a huge window. It’s so bright I don’t even need a light, and I’m baking a vanilla apple pie. Fresh jasmine blooms in vases surround me. I put the pie in the oven, prepare a fine, sweet tea to go with it. It’s a moment of peace all my own, where I reconnect with myself. I don’t need anything more. L’Instant doesn’t explicitly name vanilla, but it carries it in the base with a sweet, soft amber. I have the first formula; its juice is dark brown due to vanilla oxidation, and the scent is impeccable. It’s not vintage; it smells current, with freshly cut, luminous, and warm white jasmine. It’s intimate, subtle, and always present with every movement. It’s a beautiful, timeless creation by Guerlain, worth it, especially if you can find the old bottle. I recommend it blindly, unless you hate jasmine. When I can, I’ll hunt for another in the old bottle since it’s discontinued. A Guerlain gem that very few talk about.

  • L’Instant EDT transports me to a large, luxurious kitchen with black marble over white furniture, bathed in autumnal sunlight pouring through a huge window. It’s so bright I don’t even turn on the lights while baking a vanilla apple pie. Around me, I smell fresh blooming jasmine in vases everywhere. I put the pie in the oven and prepare the finest infusion to accompany it. It’s a moment of total peace, where I find myself. I don’t need anything more than to enjoy this warm home. Although the notes don’t mention vanilla, it’s there in the base, combined with a sweet, soft amber. I have the first formula with dark brown juice (from vanilla oxidation) and the scent is impeccable. It doesn’t smell vintage; it’s luminous, warm, and current, with freshly cut white jasmine. It’s intimate, subtle, yet present in every movement. A timeless Guerlain creation worth it, especially if you can find the old bottle. I recommend it blindly, unless you don’t like jasmine. When I can, I’ll look for another in the discontinued bottle. A jewel of the house that is rarely spoken of.

  • Maurice Roucel executed this composition with mastery, as if he had studied Guerlain’s history in depth. Although it came out in 2005, it could have been a classic from the last century. As a collector friend told me, L’Instant is a Hard Core floral; don’t let the EDT fool you—it’s more floral and intense than the EDP. White honey is in both, but here it’s less sweet, and without iris, it loses the powdery touch I liked in the EDP. It’s a super-intense, ambered white floral where the star is magnolia with gardenia, jasmine, neroli, and valley lily. These white flowers dance around the absolute magnolia alongside the amber, creating an accord encapsulated in a thick, dense amber—not crystal clear—that traps the flowers like an eternal fossil. A remarkable work, a modern classic that perhaps doesn’t get attention due to its vintage and stately vibe. For perfume lovers, it’s a must-have, especially my 2012 bottle, since unifying fragrances in the bee bottles caused many iconic flacons to be lost. As I say, I hunt for classics in their original bottles; I’d prefer this in EDP for being more honeyed and powdery, but without a doubt, it’s a gem.

  • Maurice Roucel did magic with this composition, deeply studying Guerlain’s history. Although released in 2005, it smells like a 90s classic. As a collector friend told me, it’s a ‘Hard Core’ floral. Even as an EDT, it’s more floral and intense than the original EDP. The white honey is present but less sweet, and without the iris, it loses that powdery touch I loved. It’s a super intense, ambered white floral where absolute magnolia reigns alongside gardenia, jasmine, neroli, and valley lily. All these flowers dance trapped in a thick, dense amber—sweet but not crystalline—encasing them like an eternal fossil. A remarkable work, a modern classic that perhaps goes unnoticed due to its vintage and stately air. Essential for perfume lovers, especially my 2012 bottle. Unfortunately, with the bottle unification in 2015, many iconic jewels were lost. As I said, I would have preferred the EDP for being more honeyed and powdery, but without a doubt, this is another jewel.

I stumbled upon a hidden bottle among my other cosmetics. The essence is super sophisticated: classic notes with citrus sparks and green apple from the first spray. The floral heart, featuring magnolia, peony, and Sambac jasmine, dances delicately. The amber and honey base closes with a silky, long-lasting finish that evokes classic perfumery. Absolute luxury.
