Starting by saying this is a 10/10. If you’re looking for vanilla with other nuances, this isn’t for you—there are hundreds of options like that. But if you want pure vanilla, with an angelic, delicate, and opulent fusion, this is the one. It’s a natural vanilla absolute, as if God created it himself, with powdery, amber, and musky transitions that don’t steal the show. The vanilla takes center stage, linear and rich—something only Guerlain knows how to do well. The only one that comes close is Blue Vanille by Henry Jacques, but it costs double. Nothing else can compete with this masterpiece. It’s a bit feminine due to its delicacy, but I, being a man, absolutely love it; scent doesn’t define your gender. Rise up and applaud this divine vanilla that has no rival.

To my nose, it’s vanilla with rosewood and a hint of incense, giving it a dark, nocturnal, and mysterious vibe. The composition quality is top-notch, it lasts a long time, and has moderate sillage. It’s unisex, though it leans slightly feminine. It’s a beautiful perfume, even if the price is astronomical for a vanilla.

What a gorgeous vanilla. It’s not pastry-like or overly sweet, but rather dry, spiced vanilla bean with a touch of pepper and that myrrh note that makes it soapy, plus the amber that adds depth. It’s not for everyone or something to buy blind, even if you love the note. It’s distinct from every vanilla I’ve tried. Less accessible than this house’s SDV. Totally unisex.
