They let me try it a few days ago. My wife is a huge fan of the women’s Light Blue, and I like the original, so I thought this would be pleasant… big mistake. They told me D&G’s technology for this flanker was extraordinary and that the fixatives were the best… and they were right. It’s rosemary at the start, middle, and end: rosemary, rosemary, and more rosemary, or at least that’s what I got. They’re right: one spray stuck to my jacket, and a week later, it still smelled like rosemary. If you’re in love with rosemary and your people don’t mind it, buy it without hesitation. If you’re like me and that invasive scent bothers you, avoid it.
I was given a sample a few days ago. Generally, my wife is a huge fan of the women’s Light Blue, and I like the original, so I thought this would be nice… big mistake. They warned me that D&G’s technology for this flanker was extraordinary and the fixatives were the best… and they were right. It’s rosemary at the start, middle, and end… rosemary, rosemary, and more rosemary, or at least nothing else reached my nose. And they were right; a little of the fragrance (one spray) got on my jacket, and a week later it still smelled of rosemary. In short, if you’re obsessed with rosemary and those around you don’t mind it, buy it without hesitation. If you’re like me and that invasive aroma bothers you, avoid it.
It smells exactly like Light Blue Pour Homme with just a hint of pepper and sere. Nothing new.
I tried it on a tester yesterday and I love it. Although I didn’t notice much difference from Light Blue Intense, just a very faint coconut note that dissipated quickly. I sprayed it at 6:00 PM on my wrist, just one shot. I could smell it all night until the next day. Today at work, 1:00 PM after a shower and a busy day, incredible, it’s still there. Close to the skin and faint, but it’s still there. On the other wrist, I tested Light Blue Intense, and there’s no trace. I feel this is for a sunny day, weekends, the beach, gatherings, and casual moments. Not for the office or work. I love the scent, although I’m looking for aromas for work environments. I don’t think it’s for me. It really transports me to the coast of Sicily.

Spring-summer is here… How nice it is after a shower to find a rich, light, fresh cologne that doesn’t go unnoticed, perfect for the heat… Scents you enjoy at home, at work, and that linger on your clothes. Let me tell you, this Gabbana sun isn’t what I’m looking for: the opening promises a lot, the citrus gives freshness, but it lasts only a few minutes. Then come arrogant, heavy synthetic plastics that hit your nose saying ‘here I am,’ just for a while. After that, arrive woods that aren’t very rich, Light Blue style, very skin-close. It’s a superbly synthetic fragrance, more plastic than my nose can handle. If you like synthetic plastics for a few hours, this is for you. I’ll stick with what I have; I’m not looking for more this hot season; it seems everything is tainted with synthetics. Unfortunately, we live in a synthetic era. P.S.: There’s nothing redeemable for me, especially not its excessive price. Greetings and thanks.
Spring-summer is here… How nice it is, after a shower, to find a rich yet light cologne that becomes fresh and doesn’t go unnoticed, part of the heat season… Fragrances you enjoy at home, at work, and that when you come back are imprinted on your clothes. Let me tell you, this Gabbana sun isn’t what I’m looking for: its beginning promises a lot, the citrus notes finish the freshness but last only a few minutes, then come arrogant, heavy synthetic plastics that hit the nose saying ‘here I am’; just for a moment, then arrive woods that aren’t very rich, Light Blue style, very close to the skin. Dolce&Gabbana Light Blue Sun. What a surprise this 2019 limited edition of the classic summer scent. I didn’t expect much, but I take off my hat. Chapeau to the Lombard house for the excellent work. Citrus opening, a blend of bergamot and grapefruit that on my nose smells like tangerine peel with marine touches (salt) and a slight sting from ginger. Brief but very satisfying. My wife has complimented me several times when I wear it 😉 But it truly shines in the heart, where the coconut enters, realistic and mature. It’s not the Hawaiian Tropic sunscreen coconut, nor the tropical Le Beau, nor the cocktail Issey Miyake, nor the 90s synthetic Yves Rocher… it’s better crafted, less strident, though perhaps it won’t appeal to everyone. It harmonizes with rosemary, a creamy touch, and slightly spicy (cardamom? cinnamon? a bit of saffran?). Everything with an almond note. The dry down is similar to the original, but a tiny bit sexier thanks to that pinch of vanilla. I give my original Light Blue a 7/10, but these brushstrokes make it something extremely attractive. I love it. It doesn’t project excessively or last long, that’s just how it is. If you want projection, don’t worry if you spray a lot (I’m careful not to give myself a headache); you’ll need to spray between 8/10 times. For a good experience, 6 sprays; for the rest, 3/4. If they had released it as an EDP under a niche house (like Creed), it would be a cult summer perfume. Totally unisex.

Good perfume, I bought it blind and I liked it. The longevity and projection are very good. You’ll be surprised, but it smells a lot like Invictus Legend, which I also own.
Sun sun sun! What a delicious blend of coconut, bergamot, ginger, cedar, and musk. Can you imagine what it smells like? It’s super rich, sparkling, fresh, clean, and definitely sexy and captivating. It evokes a spectacular summer that always generates compliments; maybe you don’t notice it yourself, but others absolutely love it. I’ve loved this fragrance so much that it’s now, without a doubt, my favorite from the line. Since it’s not as famous, it has an extra plus because the scent stands out even more.

Excellent fragrance, it has been one of the most delicious and fresh ones I’ve ever had.
First off, I must say the box seems awful, haha. The bottle is fine, but the packaging design leaves much to be desired. An aroma between coconut, ginger, and bergamot that suggests a beachy day with sunscreen. I wouldn’t use it, even if just in case, for the office or semi-formal settings. It makes me imagine a illusory version of myself: I’m 1.90m tall, impeccably tanned, and my pecs are finely toned. I think it would be the perfect scent for that dreamy character. The price is a bit costly, and honestly, I’m not sure if I recommend it much given that it’s not very versatile.
This fragrance has been one of my favorites; it has a super fresh and delicious aroma, completely masculine and summery. I’ve never found a similar scent in another fragrance that wasn’t from D&G. So far I’ve had three 100ml bottles; pity it was a limited edition and although it exists on the market, the price remains a bit high.
Hello everyone in the community, I hope you have a happy New Year with your loved ones. I’ve been using this rich perfume for two weeks: citrus opening, ideal for summer YES YES or temperate climates. A lemon and orange smell that’s quite generic but delicious; I think the grapefruit-bergamot combination makes it smell that way. It’s fresh, delicious, tasty, and very masculine for me; I don’t see it as unisex anywhere, so generally it’s a delicious perfume to wear. But here’s the problem: LONGEVITY 1/10, TRAIL 0/10. I WANT TO CLARIFY THAT THIS IS ON MY COMBINATION TO OILY SKIN; maybe on normal or dry skin the story is different. I’ll finish the bottle since we’re in full summer in South America and I won’t buy it again. An urgent message to those who manufacture this perfume: IMPROVE LONGEVITY AND TRAIL, they are TERRIBLE. Cheers.
I’d like to know why people abuse the word ‘generic’. They call anything that reminds them of ‘something’ generic. What is that ‘something’ they can’t define? How many perfumes share the same notes? How many share similar openings or dry downs? If that’s the case, all perfumes using bergamot would be generic. Dior Sauvage EDP, Tom Ford Neroli Portofino, Nishane Colognise… all generic. All vehicles with circular wheels are generic, all cats with gray tails too. Anyway. This fragrance is designed for high temperatures, around 25°C. Soft citrus opening. In the heart, herbal notes, wet woods, and a slight sweetness stand out, differentiating it from Light Blue Eau Intense. The ‘salty’ notes are always present. I can’t perceive that defined coconut that others review, nor the soft vanilla. It’s a fresh, herbal, ozonic perfume that can be worn formally or informally, inside or outside the city. I use it in summer, for daily life. On my skin (dry), it lasts 5 hours, on clothes for a day or more. Moderate projection, not invasive. Maybe I like it too much because I don’t follow famous YouTubers reviewers who try to move the market for their own convenience.

This fragrance smells good, but it’s 95% identical to Light Blue Eau Intense. The supposed coconut and supposed vanilla are nowhere to be found. Maybe if they were there, it would be a more interesting proposal, but simply, they aren’t. As I mentioned, it’s 95% identical to Eau Intense; that 5% difference is that in the opening, Sun feels a bit less marine (though they dry down the same) and because Eau Intense is stronger and lasts longer. In short: it smells good, but if you already have Eau Intense, it’s not worth buying this, unless you want to complete the collection.
Light Blue Sun! It’s a fresh, beachy fragrance; the beachy vibe comes from the sunscreen scent combined with the ozonic note from the line. Some say it’s 95% like Light Blue Intense, but that’s nothing alike. They share the freshness of the line, but Sun takes a different path. Should I recommend it? Absolutely, especially if you like the fresh line from Dolce & Gabbana, like the Light Blues.
I loved it; I only owned it once and then it became hard to find again. It has a resemblance to Light Blue, but they aren’t exactly the same. Besides the citrus notes, there’s a very clean ozonic note and something spicy, perhaps due to the ginger. When freshly applied, it leaves a nice trail for 2 hours, then the intensity drops; I consider the performance moderate.
I loved it. I only tried it once, and then it became hard to find again. It smells similar to Light Blue, but they’re not exactly the same. Besides the citrus notes, it has a very clean ozonic touch and a bit of a spicy kick, probably from the ginger. At first, it leaves a nice trail for about two hours, then the intensity drops; I’d say its performance is moderate.
It’s a guilty pleasure: it doesn’t last at all, but it smells delicious and very original. This is where I notice the ozonic notes; it feels metallic, super fresh, and slightly citrusy. You can detect the ginger, though the coconut isn’t very prominent. Ideal for hot days, just be prepared to reapply if you want to keep smelling it. @Mauro.A.81 I got mine on Mercado Libre, but I just noticed they have it at Sanborns too.
Uhm, okay, it’s not bad, but if you’re looking for a Sun similar to Italian Love or Forever, forget it. It was a limited edition and is out of stock, though you can find it second-hand. It’s less marine and woody than the Intense, with less Calone and cedar, but the salt and that marine/ozonic touch are there all the time. Pleasant and wearable in heat or for the gym; the opening is rich and sweet but fades quickly, leaving the salty, ozonic, and ginger notes to dominate. As others say, maybe it needs heat to shine. The longevity is decent: one hour of good projection and then a personal bubble for about 6 hours. I use it for the gym; I bought it blind and while I don’t dislike it, for summer dressing I have other fresher, better options that are more citrusy, clean, or elegant, like Italian Love itself. You can still find it on Wallapop, but I wouldn’t pay more than 20-25 euros. It resembles Light Blue’s Summer Vives, but this Sun feels less accomplished and flatter; I’d definitely go for the Summer, which you can also test in-store. Cheers.
