It’s a beast. I sprayed 2 sprays on my arm at 10 AM, and it’s now 11 PM; even after showering, it still smells. Honestly, in that aspect, it’s brutal. As for the scent itself, it’s not quite my style, though I have to admit it’s very good…

The DNA of Kenzo Homme, hence it’s a flanker, but with a good floral load and a slightly spicier touch. At first, it’s a bomb of ylang-ylang; the floral note is very prominent, but underneath, you already feel the aquatic, woody, and almost metallic signature of the house. In this case, it’s fresher, especially at the start. More summery. But the dry-down takes over, and it doesn’t stop being Kenzo Homme with extras. I do notice the dry-down is a bit spicier without the fruity notes found in the Intense. It’s a good fragrance, but I prefer the Intense. Marine is, of course, for more summery and even spring uses, and similarly, they’ve toned down the projection and sillage a bit. I like it. If the others didn’t exist, I’d buy it; it’s a very fun fragrance for daily occasions. But I prefer the other options.

It’s the ‘more reserved’ sibling of its older brother, INTENSE. Strong opening, but then it becomes more docile. They don’t list all the notes here, but you can conclude it shares several with its brother, except for the fig. It might be redundant to own both; this is for those who want to go unnoticed without the overwhelming power of the INTENSE (though Marine has its own presence with several hours of longevity on skin). I think the idea was to cover the segment that found INTENSE too overwhelming, offering a more versatile flanker. The quality remains the same in the line, which is great, proving that when they want to, they can offer potent, long-lasting, well-priced scents. **It’s less redundant to keep INTENSE and EDP in your collection (personal opinion), or if you want just one, Marine (the lighter but persistent one) or Intense (the powerful, sharp one) will suffice.

  • Definitively, I’ve discovered a universe of light and color with Kenzo fragrances (especially due to ingredient quality), and more specifically with this line. I bought the Kenzo Homme EDTI a few months ago, and it was a marvel; a few weeks later, I got this one, and it seems even richer. It has the Homme DNA, but this fragrance shows itself as sweeter, more floral, and saltier than the others. The dry-down does correspond to something very similar to the EDTI, but undoubtedly, the ylang-ylang is the protagonist here and stands out during the heart. I’m not getting the beastly longevity mentioned in other reviews because it’s brand new and needs to mature. I’m going to use it a lot this summer so that next summer is a bomb of compliments (which it’s already giving, anyway). I notice it’s very unisex; it would look equally good on female skin. I’m obsessed with unisex fragrances in general. In short, if you’re looking for a summer fragrance with sweet touches that isn’t generic or similar to anything else on the market, go for Kenzo Homme Marine; you’re doing yourself a favor. Scent 9.5/10 Longevity 7/10 Projection 8/10 Ideal for: daytime or nighttime summer dates, informal dinners with friends at a beach chiringuito…

A brutal EDT. It has the Kenzo Homme DNA but is floral, barely marine, with a sweet touch. Don’t overuse the sprays; despite having a fresh and herbal vibe, it can become very heavy if applied too much. For me, it’s the best of the Kenzo Homme line and versatile. It’s not for everyone in the line, but it’s the most wearable. Still, don’t buy blind. For me, it’s very masculine. I don’t understand those who say it’s unisex or feminine; any of the JPGs is much more feminine or unisex than this. I highly recommend it!!

  • There’s no way it’s redundant to own this if you already have the Kenzo EDT Intense. Seriously, what’s happening to people? Did COVID ruin everyone’s sense of smell? Obviously, they smell similar at first since it’s a flanker, but then this takes a completely different path. Much more summery and less potent, making it far more wearable. Longevity is excellent, though the projection doesn’t even come close to the Kenzo EDT and EDP.

Recently, while riding the bus, there was a young man wearing this fragrance; it was incredible how strong it smelled. That motivated me to get it, but once again, when I used it (like with many other perfumes), I could barely detect it on myself.

  • Fresh, with the classic touch that defines the Kenzo Homme line (not for everyone) and the excellent performance of its Intense and EDP siblings, but with the addition of ylang-ylang that rounds it off perfectly. As the name suggests, there’s a marked presence of marine notes. It’s not a blind buy, but if you like any of the Kenzo Homme scents, you’ll likely love this version too. I’m a fan of the line, so I knew it couldn’t fail, and it didn’t disappoint at all. That said, my favorite remains the EDP.

  • Horrible scent to my taste; the ylang-ylang just doesn’t fit the aroma. It’s true it lasts longer than the Kenzo EDT Intense, but that fruity or yellow-flower smell clashes with me completely and lingers throughout the entire fragrance. If you love yellow flowers and a coconut/banana vibe, you might adore this one.

  • For its distinction from my other perfumes, incredible longevity and sillage, beautiful bottle, and price, I can confidently say this is the best summer perfume I could have ever bought. I tested it one day at the drugstore, applying it to my neck. That same day, I also tested several other perfumes on my arms. When I got home late that night, the only scent I could detect was this Kenzo Marine, and I instantly fell in love. I recommend testing it on skin; if you don’t, you might perceive a smell like dampness, but that’s not really there. Highly recommended. For me, it’s a 10/10.

  • A very unique aroma that evokes boarding a sailboat, transporting you to a fresh and relaxing environment. Their singular fragrance, longevity, and simplicity stand out, making it perfect for any occasion. Additionally, its zero-invasive character makes it versatile and comfortable for everyday wear.

  • AMAZING PERFUME! Totally unisex. It gives a sense of freedom, like feeling the sea breeze. Kenzo’s marine notes (the best from designer brands) combined with that very noticeable ylang-ylang that provides an exquisite, clean floral sweetness, nothing annoying, plus the musk. The sandalwood adds body and creaminess. Scent rating: 10 if you’re looking for something original, summery, and fresh. It’s truly exquisite. Longevity: fresh but lasts 6-7 hours on skin and over 24 on clothes, like all Kenzo perfumes. Projection: high for the first 2 hours, then fades to a personal bubble. Long and heavy sillage for 2.5 hours, then moderate to weak for another couple of hours.

The Marine I smelled at the airport in December 2024 smelled like sandalwood. I bought the first batch, and the early sprays smell like musk, which I prefer less than sandalwood. I like Kenzo Marine better than the newer Intense batches, where they removed the sandalwood to create Santal Marine in 2024. It doesn’t last as long as the Intense… but I have the 2023 version, which is a whole different beast compared to what I smelled at the airport in March 2024. Be careful. Regarding the ylang-ylang, don’t worry, it doesn’t smell like it; it dries down to Kenzo. Right now, it has a lot of musk that I find feminine. In summary: buy the Kenzo Marine from the latest batch… but I noticed it jumped from $82 to $102 at Latin American airports for all the bamboo ones.

  • You literally explore ‘the marine’ with a dominant fatty salt note that either enchants or scares you. It’s synthetic, fresh, and very summery, but the salt makes it feel more like a sailor than a marine, which doesn’t quite sit right with me. Flat and with that algae connection that can be dangerous.

  • Amazing perfume! They carry the marine seal, and this one delivers. The ylang adds freshness, floral notes, and a springtime sweetness, along with that woody touch reminiscent of sandalwood and that tiny fetishistic touch from Quentin: the akigalawood, even if it’s very small, having it means you have it. Very good longevity; it stays on you until the end of the workday, then sits close to the skin with that typical Kenzo buzzing projection for another 2 hours. On clothes, it lasts 24 hours and beyond, covering you from head to toe. Summer, spring, and maybe even fall until October. Relaxed and sporty, suitable for both men and women. But sporty for dressing up, not for the gym, because we’d suffocate in all those yellow flowers. Personally, it’s one of my favorites from the new line; so much marine and woody note can get tiring. It’s good that there are new ‘colors’; we’re leaving behind navy blue and brown to go for white and light blue. In summary: Kenzo Homme and the marine vibe, but taking a new direction.

  • For hot weather, on my dry skin it reads as sea notes with ylang-ylang and sandalwood. As it dries, it smells like watermelon, sandalwood, and a hint of ylang. Great for everyday wear, casual occasions, and mild days. Lasts 7 hours on skin, with moderate projection and sillage.

  • Cristianp2316

Amazing perfume! Perfect for the heat: fresh and intense. I’ve gotten tons of compliments. It’s floral, unisex, but with a masculine touch. I recommend it; it has great projection and a serious sillage.

  • Perfuadicto97

I tried the EDT Intense before but switched to Marine since the other was too potent. However, once it settles, this one matches it in projection and longevity. On my skin, it lasts over 14 hours and on clothes until washed. A coworker told me it soaked the entire office hallway, so be careful. Ideal for heat, outdoors, or partying. If you’re looking for an aquatic scent with serious projection, this or the Intense are spectacular.

  • JohnLecter86

Another well-chosen fragrance by Quentin Bisch. Although I don’t love the Calypso and ylang-ylang notes as much, they are well-balanced here. From start to finish, it’s a perfume I adore, with good projection, trail, and longevity (if applied happily). It has a pleasant marine note at the beginning, slightly salty; in the heart, the ylang-ylang isn’t cloying and I like it; in the base, the musk and sandalwood are very noticeable. Recommended for your collection, though it’s one of those you should try before buying blind. The bottles are top-notch; I like them a lot alongside my John Varvatos ones, so they won’t go unnoticed on your shelf.

  • I hadn’t loved a designer perfume in a while, and this was a lovely surprise: the blend of marine notes, yellow flowers, and a sandalwood-musk base (not so typical for men) gives it a different touch compared to almost all recent summer scents, making it seem like a niche launch. It reminds me a lot of Frangipani Flower Cologne by Jo Malone. In my opinion, it’s the perfect all-rounder for spring-summer.

  • 4597674mel

Sea water, floral, and citrus. Smells invasive and clings to you; not for everyone. Best suited for summer nights outdoors. Rating: 8/10

  • Kenzo Marine smells like summer, sand, iodine, and cold seawater. As it dries, it reminds you of skin with a touch of dry salt, like after a day in the sun at the beach. More than a perfume, it’s an experience, with more than enough longevity (over 10 hours); just avoid over-applying. A great achievement by Quentin Bisch. Note: 9/10. The ylang-ylang isn’t for everyone.

  • Garciaalviarez

Honestly, more than marine, it smells rich, fresh, spicy, and mentholated, with an aquatic touch at the base. It’s not a beast, but it has good projection and longevity. Highly recommended.

  • I used it a lot last summer. In Kenzo Marine, the yellow ylang-ylang stands out with sandalwood and salty notes. It has a soft, fresh base that evokes open spaces. The scent is top-tier, but use caution: last summer, people told me several times I was wearing too much even at two meters away, even though I only used 4-5 sprays. It survived saunas, pools, and showers, lasting 10 hours on skin. With these Kenzos, there are two risks: being ‘the cologne guy’ or suffering from olfactory fatigue and not enjoying it.

  • A blend of yellow flowers, sea water, and sandalwood. I love it; when I first tested it on a blotter, it lasted a week and even scented my entryway. For me, it’s like being on vacation with family at a resort; everyone loves it and always asks if I reapplied. It’s not just for men; it’s totally unisex. I read they make small batches for sustainability, hoping they don’t discontinue it.

  • I like it more than the Intense. This one is sweeter; it starts floral and marine, very rich, but as it dries down, you get waves of sandalwood, which is amazing. It projects well and lasts almost as long as the Intense.

  • Francisco.Cow01

Incredible longevity and projection. It’s ‘beast mode’ with a fresh marine vibe that isn’t too cold thanks to the florals and that touch of wet wood that keeps it masculine and mature. It reminds me of the Intense and EDP I already own, but this is the freshest. In short, Kenzo Homme as always: long-lasting, powerful, rich, and with its own personality.

  • Top of my collection. Smells super clean and people say I smell great, but watch out: the scent can be a bit overwhelming for me, so I only wear it once or twice a week. If you don’t overdo the sprays, it’s a beast, but be careful of olfactory fatigue.

  • I loved it from day one. I got a 1 ml sample to try it, and since I smelled it, I was hooked. It lasts like a beast, smells delicious, it’s woody, sweet, and fresh. For me, it’s the best in the line. I’d buy it a thousand times over; I never get tired of it.

  • MiguelSantalla

Excellent scent. However, I don’t feel it after an hour. I don’t know if it’s due to the reformulation or if it causes olfactory fatigue for me.

  • Just got it today… testing it out. For now, I can’t say much about the opening; it’s a strange perfume, they recommended it and yes, I like it, it’s potent and long-lasting… and I got it at a good price. Maybe I had another idea in my head; I hadn’t read the notes and imagined something aquatic like Aqua Di Gio, but nothing like that. It doesn’t disgust me or drive me crazy; so far, no compliments. That said, it lasts and projects: with about 4 sprays, it lasted several hours. I think if you apply more, it might overwhelm you. Try it first.

  • Good, pretty, and cheap. I like it, but I feel it’s half-baked: neither fresh aquatic marine nor green floral, it lands in the middle, and that’s what makes it special. Relatively fresh, yellow-floral, and creamy, it gives a hair cream and sunny day vibe, with a green touch from the ylang-ylang. It’s good, interesting, and distinctive, but my nose wishes it decided more. Great fragrance at a good price with good performance, just not quite for me. I prefer the EDT Intense more.

  • Leonardo-Ramirez

Good performance, bad smell. I’m sorry, I can’t handle scents that are so loud and remind me of sour, spicy sweat. The opening is aquatic and marine, very rich, but when it dries, the sandalwood with ylang-ylang gives me an unpleasant mix on a personal level.

  • David Caballero Montalbán

Definitely one of my favorite marine scents. The opening is marine, citrusy, and slightly floral, then it dries down to sea salt, like salt on the skin. It’s the best of Kenzo, no debate. Lasts 6 to 8 hours with an enormous trail for real. Note: this is on my skin, I don’t know if it’s the same for everyone. I wouldn’t recommend it blindly because it can be heavy for some, but if you try it and like it, buy two bottles; you’ll definitely go through them.

  • From the Kenzo Homme line, this is the best for hot weather. To me, it’s unisex: opens sweet and fresh, but mostly floral, almost smelling like floral sunscreen. It’s pleasant but very polarizing; because of those flowers, I don’t see it as masculine as the brand suggests—a woman could easily wear it. If floral scents don’t bother you, give it a shot; if not, better to skip it.

  • Got it two days ago and it’s a total hit. Lasts forever—more than 10 hours: I sprayed it at 8 am and was still getting bursts at 9 pm. It’s not citrusy; it’s floral and incredibly rich. Two people have already complimented me, so more are on the way. Safe buy in Argentina for a very reasonable price on 60 ml.
