  • I think it’s excellent; it’s like a reissue of the original Joy with more prominent notes, like jasmine, for those who want it stronger. It doesn’t seem mediocre to me; both are good, but the first is soft and this intensifies it. Each has its own aroma; these are for those who don’t want high intensity, more for feeling perfumed without overdoing it.

  • Seriously? Intense? I must be losing my sense of smell; after half an hour, it smells like absolutely nothing.

  • If it’s from the 90s, I share that opinion: it started great, really captivated me, then transformed into something like a musky vinyl record. There’s no clarity or standout element to make it special or give it personality like J’adore. Even though it has good longevity and huge sillage, to me it’s just another one.

  • In my opinion, the perfume is excellent. It’s like a re-release of the first Joy with slightly more prominent notes (like jasmine) for those who like a stronger scent. It doesn’t seem mediocre to me; both are good fragrances. The first is soft, and the Intense is for those seeking something more intense. The thing is, these two are for people who don’t like high intensity, but just want to feel perfumed.

  • Seriously? Intense? I must be losing my sense of smell; it smells like nothing after 30 minutes.

  • It seems very similar to the original Joy, and I don’t notice the intensity, but I absolutely love it. These two really lift my mood. So pretty!

  • What weird minty and camphoraceous note does this perfume have? I tested it on my wrists and ran right over to check the notes. No, nothing like that. Suddenly, my grandma’s knee pain balm came to mind. Am I going crazy? I don’t smell any jasmine or roses (at least as my brain perceives them).

  • What menthol and camphor note does this perfume have? I tested it on my wrists and ran to check the notes. No, nothing at all. My mind went to my grandma’s knee pain ointment. Am I going crazy? I don’t smell any jasmine or roses…

  • It reminds me a lot of the original Joy and I don’t notice the intensity, but I really love it. This and the Joy really lift my spirits. Very lovely!

  • FranSeatJones.

Joy plus Joy Intense plus (Chanel Allure EdT x Chanel Allure EDP) equals Chanel Allure Sensuelle.

  • I received a sample and oh my Dior! How much sugary jam! How much hyper-concentrated sweetness! I’m not a gourmand fan, but there are compositions I like. Here… I couldn’t handle it. I like the opening, it’s charming. But then it settles and loses freshness to be so sweet. For me it doesn’t smell like candy, almost, more like pastry, red berry jam. That’s about it. Maybe on other skins something might stand out, but it’s not for me.

  • I received a sample and oh my god (never better said)! What sugary jam! What hyper-concentrated sweetness! I’m not a huge gourmand fan, but there are compositions I like. I just couldn’t handle this one. I like the opening; it has a certain charm, but then it settles and loses its freshness to become so sweet. To me, it doesn’t smell like candy, but rather bakery goods or red berry jam. That’s about it. Maybe on other skin it highlights something different, but it’s not for me.

  • Too bad it disappointed me. The longevity and sillage are non-existent; I don’t smell absolutely anything.

  • I love it! I found it sophisticated, delicate, and elegant. Fresh rose blends, a touch of subtle and natural vanilla. Not all fragrances have to smell like a subway car to be good. It lasts me about 6 hours; every skin is a world. It has that special Dior house touch. The bottle in person is super beautiful, minimalist, classic, and excellent material.

Just used it for the first time. Smells like sweet roses with jasmine and vanilla. Very nice and feminine. I’m not sure how long it lasts on my skin since it’s new. I also have the original, which I perceive as light depending on the day; I choose it for daily use in the heat. I like both, but I’m sticking with this intense one.

I laugh at anyone who says it’s super sweet; they surely haven’t tried Katy Perry’s Meaow, which is pure sugar. It’s a floral-vanilla scent, uncomplicated but with an elegant dry-down and well-executed. What’s happening now is that people spray 7 liters of perfume and still complain about longevity; I think it’s a nasal issue. It’s good for those who want well-crafted floral-vanilla scents, no surprises or twists.

It’s funny they rate it as extremely sweet; surely they haven’t tried Katy Perry’s Meaow, which is pure sugar. It’s exactly as described: floral with vanilla, uncomplicated but with an elegant and well-worked dry-down. What happens now is that people wear seven liters and still complain about longevity; I think it’s a nasal issue. It’s a good perfume for those who like well-crafted floral-vanilla scents, without surprises or twists.

  • I love fresh scents, but this left me without a smile; quite the opposite, I found it intense but boring. It’s too flat and, for its price, you can smell it in cheaper fragrances. A floral-citrus that smells like acidic flowers, as if they were soaked in bergamot leaving only the acidity. I don’t smell lemon, just acidic flowers. I wouldn’t recommend it; there are better options.

  • Andrea perfumona

Too talc-like for me. It opens with citrus, vanilla, jasmine, and lots of musk, but then it just smells like strong powder. For me, it’s a no; I prefer its older sibling, Joy.

  • I have it and like it for spring-summer in Spain. Very stylish, as they say, from the 90s. It’s clean, long-lasting, and has good sillage. On my skin, it’s very citrusy at first, but I love the dry-down and the finish. Easy and pleasant scent, suitable for a wide age range. Thanks Dior for something different, not copied from those boring sweet gourmands. I don’t know what’s wrong with people who say it’s sweet by god.

  • I don’t understand why nobody talks about this little gem. I tried it months ago with a sample, and yesterday the bottle finally arrived. It feels elegant, delicate, non-invasive, and very feminine. It works wonderfully on my skin; a total hit.

  • I bought it without testing it first. Although I didn’t fall in love with it, when I’m looking for an elegant and mature scent, I’ll keep coming back to this one.

  • It’s my signature fragrance; it can’t be missing from my vanity. Its talc-like aroma blends floral and sweet notes. Super cheerful and feminine.

  • I bought it without ever having tried it. So even though I didn’t love it, when I want an elegant and mature scent, I’ll reach for this.

  • Anabel_Parfums

This is my summer evening perfume when I need a touch of elegance (weddings, dinners, etc.). I can’t describe it better than elegant, fresh, and sweet at once—Dior vanilla. To make people remember you without overwhelming them. Nothing more ❤️

  • Nobody should hate this; it’s gorgeous! I know it’s not as gourmand as I like, but it’s super pretty. It smells like the 90s—very floral and talc-like with a sweet vanilla touch. It’s feminine, formal, and unobtrusive, perfect for everyday wear. It lasts over 6 hours and has good sillage. It could be my signature scent for hot days. It’s not a bomb or world-changing, but it’s perfect for closed events without being intrusive or unnoticed.

  • Candycandy40

It reminds me a lot of Miss Dior from the same house. Powdery, and on me it lasts almost all day, although the sillage is moderate, but I do sense it. A very feminine and elegant perfume, like its sister Miss Dior. An edition; over time, the sillage becomes stronger.

The original Joy is nothing special; it just smells like perfume. Joy Intense enters from the right side of the stage. The amplified vanilla puts it in another league compared to the original. Joy Intense is a rich bouquet of roses and jasmines with vanilla. It’s beautiful, floral, and vanilla-scented, suitable for everyday use. It’s one of the few that lists bergamot in the notes, but my nose detects it not at all; what a blessing.

  • Perla Vencis

Very prominent citrus opening, then roses. Although it says jasmine, that accord is very subtle. The three protagonists are rose, tonka bean, and sandalwood. On skin, rose with tonka bean gives a herbal sensation. When it dries, I sense a patchouli that I don’t like because it feels synthetic.

  • Denisitachavez

I bought it blind despite the bad reviews; I don’t understand why. It’s not usually my type, but when I put it on, I feel elegant, feminine, and like a classy woman; maybe it’s the musk. Dior handles musk and roses in an angelic way. I wear it all year, day and night, for semi-formal to formal events. The bottle is beautiful, the magnetic cap is great, and the CD seal always stays upright.

  • Dior Joy Intense is a floral jewel that on my skin becomes creamy and sweet. From the start, the floral notes unfold with unparalleled elegance, creating a sophisticated and enveloping experience. Although fragrances usually don’t last long on my skin, Joy Intense challenges this with relatively good longevity. However, in my sleep test, I couldn’t smell it after five hours. That’s why I reapply every four hours to refresh it and keep it vibrant. What I love most is how the floral mix with a creamy and sweet touch has me hooked. It’s a must-have, ideal for special occasions or daily wear. Joy Intense is a statement of femininity and elegance, perfect for those seeking longevity and an enchanting aroma.

  • Chocolate con licor

It has nothing going for it compared to Intense: neither longevity nor projection. I have to bring my nose close; it’s very intimate and lasts at most 2 to 3 hours. It smells like gardenia or freesia with vanilla and talc. Nothing extraordinary or eccentric, nor elegant; just delicacy and poor performance. Similar to other perfumes and even cheaper, it seems mediocre and disappointing since I expected something stronger than the original. It’s not worth the price; any pharmacy has perfumes that smell like talc and flower with vanilla, common and simple notes. Even a Sarkany perfume I heard about at Farmacity had better projection and longevity with a more accentuated aroma, and it cost five times less. What a disappointment; it’s not ugly, but I can’t see myself spending more than $100 on this little bottle with a mediocre scent.

It doesn’t seem like a Dior, but it has something that hooks you. I thought it would be familiar and monotonous, but the first impression on my skin surprised me. The neroli here is more bitter and refined; the rose is always present, fine and balanced. The scent is round and soft; it doesn’t fill the room but it’s there. The floral and woody heart is beautiful; try it several times and don’t let the first impression fool you. With patience, after hours, it smells like delicious vanilla on skin and clothes. It’s more for cold weather; the sensual opening dissipates quickly, leaving a floral and creamy breeze. With the new Diors, it’s sometimes hard to find the right spot. If you tried Joy Intense and didn’t like it, give it another chance; try it multiple times rather than just once. I was lucky to test it thoroughly at home via an exchange; otherwise, I wouldn’t have noticed. Try it, wear it out, but don’t get discouraged. It’s harmonious, beautiful, and balanced, with medium longevity and a light sillage, suitable for all ages. Lately, I feel it’s missing something to be perfect.

  • haneulscent

Delicate and mature; it shines on cold winter days. It’s intimate; you’ll feel it. If you like it and get sad that it’s discontinued, try Allure by Chanel; it has a vintage vibe but shares several traits.

  • Yeli parfum

Sweet, floral, and woody; elegant but nothing more. The bottle is gorgeous with a super chic magnetic cap. I wear it in the heat of my island, though it doesn’t last long.
