Descripción
Incense Sunset by Zara is an aromatic woody fragrance for men and women. Launched in 2021, this composition features the olfactory signature of Jo Malone. The top note presents the freshness of mandarin, which gives way to a heart of cedar and settles on a base of incense.

It’s a good perfume, but it’s really for people over 40. It feels zero youthful and very masculine to me.
An indispensable unisex scent for incense lovers: it smells fresh, with an intense church-like incense but not overpowering thanks to the citrus opening that adds sparkle and joy. It’s not dark, serious, or heavy like a thurible; it’s bright and refreshing, perfect even for summer. The cedar base combined with the incense is delicious; all the notes harmonize beautifully. It’s worth four times the price, and I’d pay for the original because the longevity and sillage are impressive, plus it smells expensive and exclusive. A great buy at this price; you can buy it blind without risk—the notes match the description with no surprises, which is rare for Zara. I loved it. I’m not usually into incense because it smells like a closed church and wooden pews to me; it gives me yuck and doesn’t blend with my skin, so I usually put them aside or give them away. But this is totally different: a fresh, cheerful incense that captivates, addictive, and seductive. Plus, it lasts forever; three sprays are enough to stay in a bubble that projects about a meter. I’m thrilled with this blind buy, a total hit.
I bought this blind and it was a mistake. I had already fallen for the intense church-like incense of Bohemian Oud, although it only lasted an hour. I thought this name would give me the same vibe with better longevity. Spoiler: it doesn’t. It smells like incense, yes, but it’s hidden behind a citrus cedar that doesn’t let it shine. It’s unisex in the sense that any gender could wear it without standing out, but I don’t see myself wearing it with a floral dress; it tends to be masculine. Aside from my disappointment over the lack of incense and its masculine tone, it smells great, lasts, and projects well. Just not for me.

It’s a beautiful lemon incense with a touch of wood. I admit it wasn’t what I expected; in my head, the incense should have been heavier and more prominent, but it wasn’t. It comes out resinous and green, but within seconds, the citrus emerges, taking it to a friendlier place: a sweet, citrusy incense with wood in the background. Incense Sunset is versatile, unisex, and easy to wear, with outstanding longevity. I repeat, it wasn’t what I expected, but I absolutely loved it.

Although it seems unisex, several people say it sounds like a mature man’s scent. It’s not that the incense is missing; rather, its role is to round out the citrus into a denser tone. You won’t find ecclesiastical incense or pure smoke here if you have experience with the genre; it’s more resinous and ambered, as if the resins were just lit and releasing tangerine peel oils. In the dry down, there’s still no smoke, and the citrus brightness stands out.
I have the round bottle, and it’s very well made; it smells delicious and lasts quite a while on the skin.

It’s a generic scent, but it lasts well on the skin for such a citrusy fragrance. What’s interesting is that incense stands out at first, then fades, leaving behind a sweet lemon. It reminds me of Serge Lutens Bleu, though that one is higher quality and has much better projection.
