Guerlain Heritage Eau de Parfum is a woody-spicy fragrance for men. Launched in 1992, the nose behind this composition is Jean-Paul Guerlain. The top notes reveal lavender, juniper berries, aldehydes, statice, bergamot, lemon, violet, green notes, and petit grain; the heart unfolds patchouli, carnation, iris root, coriander, balsam fir, pepper, geranium, pink pepper, rose, jasmine, valley lily, and cyclamen; while the base notes settle on amber, sandalwood, oakmoss, musk, and cedar.

My first high-quality perfume. I managed to make a woman fall in love with me just by resting my head on the pillow where I slept (alone). I loved it; it’s citrusy, strong, fresh, and mystical. I can’t describe the details (I’ve worn it for over 15 years), but I always felt very well-dressed with it. I was surprised when I first smelled it: intense, well-mannered, high-class, and sophisticated. That’s exactly how I felt while wearing it. It made me feel good and irresistible. A somewhat heavy old-school fragrance. Not recommended to buy blindly. It fades quickly to the base notes.
Guerlain Héritage. Classic French perfumery of high quality. Masculine elegance without falling into ridiculously expensive niches or stupid exclusivity. It’s not a pop perfume or a knockoff. It won’t please everyone; those under 35-40 might find it old-fashioned or heavy. It’s a woody amber scent like Davidoff Zino: dark, strong, and challenging patchouli, with an old-school yet dirty and dark vibe like Habit Rouge or Shalimar (with that genuine animalistic touch of Guerlain). Very well made, with many notes and good longevity. The EDP lasts about 7 hours and leaves a trail for a couple of hours. If you want more projection, look for the EDT. My wife likes it too, so it’s unisex. Guerlain wants to modernize to compete with big brands. Tip: don’t obsess over finding pre-2013 bottles or checking batches; it’s a waste of money and time. It smells just as good as before. Summary: supreme quality and pure elegance. Kids and fashionistas, stay away.
What a cozy scent. Classic yet nothing outdated, with a creamy and addictive base. Very elegant, even unisex in my opinion. The quality rivals any famous niche perfume (based on the 90s formula). Its only flaw is the projection, which is minimal and stays in your personal bubble. It’s meant to be enjoyed, though those close to you will notice it. Leaves a short but potent trail. Adds gravitas to the wearer. I don’t know about the modern version, but this is a jewel. The bottle is another level.
