It’s a ‘skin scent’ but very long-lasting, warm, with a unisex touch. At first, citrus dominates along with a charming dusty note; then the iris settles in with that citrusy hint, ending with vanilla. The middle stage lasts a long time, easily 8 hours. It reminds me of baby oil, but I love it. It’s very soft and not intrusive at all. This version is identical to Shalimar Parfum Initial L’Eau, except at the start Sensuelle is more citrusy, and after 15 minutes they are indistinguishable. You can buy either; Sensuelle was limited and is cheaper.
I define it as citrusy, fresh, clean, and talcum-powdery; it’s the only one in its class that shines brighter the colder it gets. It doesn’t exist in tropical climates, but it’s a marvel for fresh, windy spring days. LONGEVITY: over 7 hours; moderate projection that fades over time, though it’s easily noticeable around me, being very strong in the first 45 minutes. SCENT: fresh, clean, soapy, and talcum-powdery, with just the right touch of sweetness so it doesn’t just smell like lemon. Totally feminine, elegant, and suitable for any occasion, though not for every climate or season.
