I think this is the perfume that smells most like flowers to me of all the ones I’ve had. It’s an intense floral scent that however doesn’t make the perfume penetrating, nor does it repel at all. Even those who don’t appreciate floral scents won’t be offended by this perfume, which is fresh, yet sweet. IF I had to use one word to describe it, I’d say it feels romantic to me, although it’s a somewhat strange word for a perfume. Maybe it’s the combination of floral aromas that suggest romance to me, it’s not sensual at all, it’s more like the classic perfume a lover would wear for a date with their beloved, tender, fresh, with the just right amount of sweetness to be romantic and freshness to not be heavy. On my skin it’s quite persistent, I must have very grateful skin (or a very good sense of smell). But anyway, I wear it in the morning and I still smell it in the afternoon, for example, if I walk down a hallway from one room to another, when I later turn back on my steps, I perceive the trail of aroma I’ve left. I would never use this fragrance in winter, it seems too fresh to me. For that very reason, I always wear it during the day and only in spring and summer. Being a pleasant fragrance, it’s not impactful or striking, so it can be suitable for any woman who wants to wear a pleasant perfume during these hot seasons. Maybe those who don’t like sweet aromas might find it excessive, for aromatic tastes, but to me it seems perfectly balanced between sweetness and freshness.

  • This might be one of the Guerlain fragrances I’ll be able to wear, for jasmine lovers, this is very good, the sillage is moderate but the longevity is great, it stays close to the skin. A fragrance for romantic evenings, men usually like this perfume quite a bit on a woman. The patchouli is very soft here, with a cleaner jasmine and valley lily being more intense, I can’t smell the fruits in it.

  • This perfume is floral, the most I detect is a rose scent, with other flowers that aren’t distinguishable, but the whole is very harmonious; I don’t detect any specific fruit; nor do I detect patchouli. In summary: it’s a fresh, cheerful, slightly sweet, and very feminine floral, it has the musk touch of narcissus, but I don’t think it resembles them; in fact, the musk is light. Its longevity is about 8 hours, and the projection is moderate. I bought it because it was on sale and I couldn’t resist, but the truth is, I’ve loved it, I recommend it.

It’s a jewel… I don’t smell jasmine in it, it’s a delight, of incomparable fineness. Super sophisticated. I feel UNIQUE with it.

  • Ydylle seems to me a very delicate floral at the same time as potent, with a mainly jasmine aroma. As Sagittarius said, it’s intense but not penetrating. I confirm it has good longevity. I don’t have much more to say about this fragrance… they tried to sell it to me and I liked it, but it didn’t convince me.

Oh yes, yes, Ydille is wonderfully warm, soft, enveloping, romantic, with a light sweetness, I feel it embracing me, it’s candid, subtle but persistent, it smells of flowers with honey, lilies of the valley, lilacs, and roses, that’s all I perceive, it’s a perfume for fairy tale princesses.

  • I’m not an expert in perfumery, but I had the chance to smell this women’s fragrance and I can say it’s very good, excellent quality in terms of how naturally it recreates the scent of rose petals, a quite natural, soft, and elegant smell. Perfumes for women usually don’t catch my attention because as a man who knows nothing about perfumery, most of them seem to me simply like sweet citrus… I used to appreciate men’s perfumes more for recreating the effect of smelling clean or woody… but in my opinion, this perfume is very artistic, it’s truly pleasant to smell, it makes you feel like you’re in a freshly watered garden full of roses… maybe also having a basket with freshly cut rose petals near your nose… I want to clarify that for my untrained nose, it smells of ROSES, maybe experts say it smells like something else… this is just my opinion… As for the season and occasion, in my opinion, for a romantic date, and I don’t see it as too young, or maybe not for a very party girl… perhaps for a quieter, more serious, sophisticated, and tender girl… youthful, formal, elegant, yet warm and full of self-confidence. To be used in autumn, spring, and winter.

There’s something curious about this fragrance… on my skin, it smells mostly of jasmine, but on the blotch paper they give you at the perfumerie, the top notes absolutely steal the show! It’s pink, pink, pink, and more pink, boosted by lychee and raspberry that give it an acidity making it feel like we’re smelling fresh berries flooding our noses; and “sweetened” by freesia. It’s refreshing but a bit intense at first sniff, like walking into a room full of bouquets, mostly roses. I saw pink, white, and yellow lights. For flower lovers, this is a fragrance to consider… It could easily be “the flower girl’s” scent. I need to test it more on my skin… I confess, I’m a bit intrigued now hehe

  • I didn’t like it much. I’m not sure if it’s my skin’s pH, but I haven’t been able to tell what it smells like. I’ll keep it to see if I like it in a few months.

  • Beautiful perfume!!!!! One of the most beautiful florals I’ve ever smelled, from the very first time, a romantic, delicate, and beautiful aroma, yes it smells of roses, but it doesn’t smell only of them, it’s a very well-adorned floral ensemble. I see it as perfect for noble, romantic, simple, peaceful, and sweet women, those who carry femininity in their blood without needing extra adornments to emphasize it, this perfume was made for them 🙂 Lovers of Guerlain classics who still aren’t convinced by Ydille, pay attention, this is a modern classic. The bottle is a beauty, a drop of rain? or a drop of a tear? perhaps love can’t make us cry? …..this time it did, but with joy.

  • Absolutely gorgeous perfume, one of the most beautiful florals I’ve ever smelled. From the first moment, a romantic, delicate, and lovely aroma; yes, it smells of roses, but it’s a very well-adorned floral bouquet. I see it as perfect for noble, romantic, simple, gentle, and sweet women who carry femininity in their blood without extra frills. This perfume was made for them. For classic Guerlain lovers who haven’t been convinced by Idylle yet, take note: this is a modern classic. The bottle is a work of art, a drop of rain or a tear? Could love not make us cry? This time yes, but out of joy.

  • Idylle is love made into perfume. It’s the feeling of butterflies in your stomach, the scent when you look at the person you love and your heart races. It’s warm, romantic, feminine, and elegant. It’s a love song, unforgettable. A true idyll ♡ Longevity: 9.10 Sillage: 10/10.

  • Cristel.1956@hotmail.com

A vibrant, luxurious, hyper-feminine, and formal fragrance. It reminds me of the Fifth Avenue Original. It’s super long-lasting and intense, but not cloying; on the contrary, you can’t stop noticing its scent.

  • A very elegant fragrance that doesn’t go wrong anywhere and makes you feel comfortable wearing it: it’s a cool, sensual, and distant floral chypre… not sweet or bitter, it’s like a shower of flowers on the skin. Its trail is moderate and longevity is very good. It’s like wearing a white gold choker with moonstones. I love it, it’s one of Thierry Wasser’s best creations.

  • A very elegant fragrance, with this aroma you don’t look bad in any place, besides, you feel very comfortable with it: it is indeed, a somewhat cold, sensual, distant chypre floral… it’s not sweet, however, nor does it have a “bitter” smell, it is indeed: “a shower of flowers on the skin”… its sillage is moderate, its longevity very good. It’s similar to wearing a white gold necklace with some moonstones. I love it. It’s one of the best creations by perfumer Thierry Wasser.

  • Pleasant sophistication: it’s a lighter, more refined version of Narciso Rodriguez’s For Her. It smells clean and musky, but with brighter, sweeter, and golden notes; less dry and powdery. It’s subtler, floral, romantic, and feminine. It’s a crowd-pleaser: kind, comforting, beautiful, delicate, and classy, though it lacks its strong personality and has limited longevity. USE: All year / daytime / daily / formal / city. BOTTLE: A 9. It’s unique and reminds me of the Eiffel Tower; it seems a worthy representative of that city because it’s refined, optimistic, and luminous. Guerlain are masters of packaging, adding a mystical value to the contents.

  • Fanny de la Hoz

I bought it thinking it would be as good as or better than Narciso Rodriguez, but it’s nothing like it. It smells very sweet, so I ended up gifting it to my sister.

  • panzorrita

My partner gave it to me when I was pregnant because she loved it, what a nightmare having to keep it untouched in the closet when pregnancy makes you repelled by certain scents. Plus, it’s a very potent perfume.

  • Smells rich and looks great on my grandma; it’s floral, sweet, cheerful, and fresh—very youthful.

  • Aroma de Flor

Pure elegance! I recommend it for sophisticated, elegant, and sensual women. One of the best in my collection!

  • mamamundi

Stopped by the perfumerie this morning just to try this fragrance out of curiosity about its famous molecule, and I wanted to test the other one with that same element, Lalique’s Perles. Well, in Idylle, with all its elements well-balanced, the initial floral notes and the heart felt somewhat soapy and clean, contrasting with the scent I believe I recognize from that famous molecule—it smells a bit like decomposed flowers, or something like that, a penetrating aroma, the same one found in Lalique’s Perles, but that one is very obvious and intense. I didn’t like Lalique’s Perles at all compared to Idylle, which is very elegant. I’d say it’s more for afternoon and evening wear, perfect for romantic dates; I think a man would really enjoy this scent. It’s not very prudent for work or study environments; it doesn’t fit that vibe at all, it could be overwhelming. Fragrance rating: 8, longevity: 7, sillage: 8.

Finally, I have it back in my collection! It’s quite pricey where I live, but every penny is worth it. It’s delicious, so refined, elegant, and feminine—I’m completely captivated. At first, it smells very fresh and juicy with lychee, then roses and other flowers, all so natural that I can’t find anything artificial. It’s sweet, but not too much, and the scent evolves into something creamy and sensual without losing its elegance and class. Idylle is my absolute favorite because it was the perfume I wore on my wedding day; smelling it transports me right back to that happy day, to my husband waiting for me at the altar, to the champagne and strawberries, to the flowers and the elegance of a special, unique occasion, to love, hope, innocence, and faith. I believe Idylle will always be with me to relive those happy memories; no matter how many other perfumes I try and buy, I’ll always return to my idyllic love that reminds me. It’s a tear of happiness for me. Idylle’s scent has no age, but it does have a purpose—it must always be special, tied to romance. Immediately, I think of a princess-cut wedding dress, diamonds, and romantic makeup, but also delicate lace lingerie, and why not? Even hospital clothes, because that’s where I met and fell in love with the man of my life… Oh, Idylle, you are love, innocence, joy, and hope!

  • Feminine, delicate, substantial, and long-lasting, with sweetness in perfect balance. I can’t believe how long I went without knowing this one. It’s incredibly expensive, but every penny is worth it. Any woman who loves floral scents that are distinctly feminine should definitely have this in her collection.

  • VainillaDulce

I absolutely love Idylle, but it bears a strong resemblance to other fragrances like Narciso Rodríguez for Her or Lovely by Sarah Jessica Parker, with Narciso being my undisputed favorite among the three. Let’s dive into the description: Idylle smells like a bouquet of flowers where the rose slightly dominates the rest. Right from the start, you’re greeted by an aromatic rose blended with freesia, lychee, and a rich raspberry. After 15 minutes, a fresh valley lily emerges with soft lilac, peony, and jasmine notes, but soon these floral nuances fade into the background, becoming very subtle, while the rose grows increasingly powerful. I can’t detect any musk or patchouli; for me, the rose is so intense that it drowns out all the other notes. It’s a feminine, elegant, delicate perfume that evokes tenderness, fragility, and softness. It lasts about 5 hours on my skin with a moderate sillage. A perfect choice for special and romantic occasions.

  • Rocio Basurto

This is the first time I’ve smelled a perfume and bought it the same day. Usually, I take at least a day to observe its evolution on blotter paper and on my skin, then return to the mall to repeat the process before deciding if it’s worth it. With Idylle, it hooked me without a second thought. The initial impression of the top notes wasn’t to my liking, but within seconds, Idylle began to reveal its beauty, which seems to grow in the heart phase. Although I’m more into fruity florals, I was looking for something different; Idylle intrigued me, and suddenly I felt I needed a break from scents, and then I smelled it again… wow! It tastes so rich. Plus, the special edition bottle (Bee bottle) created in 1853 is very pretty; I adore vintage cosmetic and perfume packaging. I think the risk was worth it!

  • Burbusoda666

A work of art bottled as perfume. Idylle is romantic, elegant, cheerful, and luminous, radiating love and joy. It opens with the sweetness of freesia and the tartness of lychee with raspberry. In the heart, the rose enters, and honestly, I’ve never felt a rose so real as here; it smells like freshly plucked petals mixed with valley flowers and lilies of the valley—a gorgeous bouquet as fresh as just-cut. At the end, the rose shines. Its sillage is medium to large, and on my skin, the longevity is impeccable, lasting over 10 hours. It’s very beautiful, pleasant to most, feminine, and timeless. Nothing like today’s cloying ‘fruity-florals’ or the bombshells of the 80s and 90s. It has the wood to become a classic. It’s versatile, works in cool weather but looks great in warm settings. It suits both casual and formal occasions, matching a ballgown. It’s striking enough to stand out but with a delicate finesse. To me, it’s Aurora’s perfume, ‘Sleeping Beauty,’ transmitting princess magic, a distant kingdom, and a happy ending. In my opinion, one of Guerlain’s best creations, definitely one of my all-time favorites and must-haves.

  • Geno Guerrero

Idylle is so beautiful; it reminds me of a bride in a classic dress with a bouquet of white flowers. I can picture it in a romantic setting, probably because of the bottle’s shape, which looks like the Eiffel Tower, and thinking of Paris makes me think of love. What I perceive most are valley flowers and freesia; by God, the rose note doesn’t evolve on my skin, but I still value it. It’s true it resembles Narciso, but that doesn’t make it any less important. It has excellent longevity and sillage.

  • I asked for this perfume as a gift at 12 because I was already obsessed with Gardenia and wanted to smell like flowers. My dad took me to the perfumery, and the sales associate showed me Idylle; I fell in love instantly. It’s gorgeous, delicate, refined, and elegant—very fresh and never overpowering. It evokes tenderness and femininity. I still wear it for lunches, work dates, or casual meetups with friends. It’s not that it’s not a bombshell; it is! But it’s not meant to stand out or draw attention.

  • Manuela Monteiro

An impressive white floral, fresh and elegant. It has great trail and longevity. Suitable for warm and temperate climates; it’s not extremely sweet, more on the fresh side. Very feminine, with lots of jasmine, lily, and narcissus. A romantic aroma; I imagine a bride getting into the car to head to the church with this. I owned it, but when it ran out, I replaced it with Narcisse For Her L’eau, which is very similar. Otherwise, it’s a worthy child of Guerlain.

  • aliciag4807

One of my favorites that doesn’t go unnoticed. It’s pure elegance and lasts quite a while on my skin. Sweet but not cloying.

  • A beautiful, delicate, feminine, romantic, and elegant aroma. It radiates cleanliness and refinement, perfect for spring but wearable all year. It doesn’t go unnoticed without being overwhelming. Suitable for young and old alike without sounding out of place. Totally recommended, always test on skin. The new bottle didn’t change the scent or performance. Good 8-hour longevity with moderate projection.

  • I refused to buy it because it reminded me too much of the old Narcisse, even though I adore Guerlain and collect many perfumes. But Idylle shines more in its floral notes, and the musk doesn’t dominate. It’s feminine, delicate, and romantic. The bouquet of rose and valley lily, with lilac, jasmine, and peony, dances over a musky base with a juicy touch of lychee and raspberry that adds sweetness and realism. Better late than never, lucky to find it vintage and add the EDT from the same year—a true idyll.

  • The entire Idylle collection is fantastic! Clean, long-lasting florals. I love the blend of lilac with musk; it’s rich and leaves an amazing trail without being overwhelming.

  • A beautiful bouquet of florals where the lychee note adds a lovely sweetness. It leaves a very feminine trail.

  • I used it years ago and it went unnoticed; I finished the bottle and never touched it again. This morning I tested it again and fell in love. It’s exactly what I’m looking for now: clean, long-lasting, very floral but with a sexy edge I adore. Highly versatile, and the dry-down is marvelous. I’ll be buying it again.

  • An explosion of floral charm and elegance! In my opinion, it’s for a mature woman—nothing juvenile or overly sweet, just floral and fruity with class. If you wear it to work, no one will go unnoticed.

  • A classic, clean floral with a rose that doesn’t give you a headache. On my skin, it dries down to a musky scent similar to Narcisse For Her EDP, but more floral, more sparkling, and simply better.

  • Veranosol12

It’s true, it smells like Narcisse from 2009, but beware: to truly judge it, you have to wear it, not just test it. Idylle is another level—unique and deep. It wasn’t love at first sight; I found it melancholic and wintry, but over time I realized it’s so much more. Even the raspberry fooled me, which I hate! Huge fan of Guerlain.
