Descripción

Flower by Kenzo Eau de Vie by Kenzo is a floral fragrance for women. Launched in 2019, this composition was created by Alberto Morillas, Marie Salamagne, and Fabrice Pellegrin. The top notes unfold with neroli, ginger, petit grain, and bergamot; the heart reveals orange blossom and Bulgarian rose; while the base notes close the structure with white musk, vanilla, tonka bean, and benzoin.

  • This review is based on three small samples I was gifted. The first impression is an intense, overwhelming ginger hit that punches you in the nose, paired with a nuclear neroli that almost killed my olfactory senses. First impression was horrible. As time passed, the orange blossom from the neroli emerged in all its glory, keeping the neroli present; it smelled like those Alvarez Gómez colognes my grandmother has in her guest bathroom since I can remember. A few hours later, vanilla and musk appeared timidly in the background, trying to soften the scent but failing. As for tonka bean, benzoin, and rose… I couldn’t smell any of them, at least not on me. It’s not a horrible perfume, just not for me. It’s too expensive for what it is. With all the wonders Kenzo has, I’d prefer other scents from the brand. Don’t buy blind. Longevity is normal/good. It doesn’t feel youthful or especially modern, and the note blend seems off.

  • This review is based on three sample sprays. The first impression is an intense, almost aggressive ginger paired with a nuclear neroli that nearly burned my nose—a terrible experience. Over time, the orange blossom emerges while the neroli lingers, smelling like my grandmother’s Alvarez Gómez colognes. Hours later, vanilla and musk timidly appear in the background but fail to soften the scent. I don’t detect tonka bean, benzoin, or rose. It’s not awful, just not for me; it’s too expensive for what it offers. Compared to Kenzo’s wonders, I’d rather choose something else. Don’t buy blind. The longevity is average/good, it doesn’t feel youthful or modern, and the note blend came out strange.

What a terrible perfume, please! I’m obsessed with Eau de Lumiere, a masterpiece, and I wanted to try this new flanker. It’s a nightmare! Smells like strong Johnson’s baby cologne. I tested it on the back of my hand and the scent invaded my nose. Plus, it’s super strong and long-lasting. It has nothing to do with the original Flower, so, like with Eau de Lumiere, I don’t get why it’s called a flanker. Horrible!

But what a terrible perfume, please!!! I’m obsessed with Eau de Lumiere, which I consider a masterpiece, so I wanted to try this new flanker. An absolute disaster!!! It’s a strong Johnson’s baby cologne. On top of that, I tested it on the back of my hand and the scent invaded me immediately. To make matters worse, it’s super strong and long-lasting. It has absolutely nothing to do with the original Flower, so again (since Eau de Lumiere is also a flanker), I can’t understand why they make flankers. Horrible!

  • Hated it completely. I received a sample at a perfume shop; it’s very powdery and floral, smelling like baby cologne. It feels like a fragrance for mature people, nothing youthful. The longevity is actually quite good, but after a while, it started repulsing me. I wouldn’t buy it.

Absolutely hated it. I was gifted a sample that smelled very powdery and floral, like baby cologne. It feels like a scent for older people, nothing youthful. The longevity is great, but after a while, it just started repelling me. I wouldn’t buy it.

Beautiful and very delicate. Its standout note is the orange blossom, giving off a baby cologne vibe. The ginger is noticeable at first—quite sharp and spicy—but it fades after a few minutes. In the dry down, you can detect the DNA of the classic Flower, with its undeniable powdery note, but here it’s extremely subtle and doesn’t overpower. It’s the soft, delicate version of Flower. Ideal for spring and autumn, lasting about 6 to 8 hours…

I find it nothing like the original. I’ll give it a chance to try again in spring, but for cold weather, I just don’t like it 🙁

It doesn’t resemble the original at all. I’ll give it another shot in the spring, but for cold weather, I just don’t like it 🙁

  • Beautiful, simple yet exquisite in my opinion. The citrus notes, the orange blossom, and that baby-like aroma are very prominent, and I absolutely loved it.

  • It’s a soft, baby-like fragrance. You can detect hints of citrus and ginger that add a slight kick, keeping it from being purely childish. I hated it at first, but then I fell in love. It’s perfect for a spring afternoon at the park, not for a party. Update: Over time, it became addictive. I choose it over the rest; whenever I pass by, I stop to smell it on the bottle… I’m using it now in spring because it’s the best season for it.

  • It’s a soft, baby-like perfume. You can detect some citrus and ginger, which give it a slight bite so it’s not purely childish. At first, I hated it, but then I fell in love with it. It’s perfect for a spring afternoon walk in the park, not for a party. Update: over time it became addictive; I choose it over the rest. • It’s not the powdery scent your mother and grandmother wore, so relax—it’s a very modern take. You wear it and still feel young; it certainly has the softness of a baby perfume.

  • It’s not the baby powder your mom or grandma used, don’t worry, this is a very modern talc. You wear it and still look young, though it does have the softness of a baby perfume.

  • Heavily criticized and attacked, but on me it’s excellent: longevity and sillage without being suffocating. It smells like orange with a subtle sweetness, warm from the tonka bean, slightly powdery. It’s not like Kenzo’s Flower; it’s a different fragrance. Not for heat, but for winter or intermediate times. It’s delicious, feminine, and delicate. I recommend testing it on skin; that’s where the magic happens. I’m thrilled with the variety in this Kenzo line.

  • I didn’t like it at all. Very sweet, another graceless, unattractive fruity mess. Immediate forget.

  • I absolutely hated it. Very sweet. Another boring fruity chihuahua with no charm or appeal. Total forgettable.

  • Heavily criticized by others, but it’s a hit on me: long-lasting, great sillage, and not suffocating. Smells like orange with a soft sweetness and a warm, powdery touch of tonka bean. It’s not Kenzo Flower; it’s a completely different fragrance. Not for hot weather, but perfect for autumn or mild winter. Delicious, feminine, and delicate without being over the top, with a cheerful vibe. I recommend testing it on skin—that’s where it truly shines. I’m thrilled with this Kenzo line because there’s something for everyone.

  • The opening is sparkling with ginger and citrus, then the powdery notes kick in, like baby cologne with lots of orange blossom. After an hour, tonka bean and vanilla are noticeable close to the skin. It’s not my style and didn’t catch me, but I like its evolution and distinct phases. It has little to do with the original Flower. Soft-moderate sillage, 5-6 hours longevity. Scent 6/10, longevity 8/10, sillage 7/10, value 7/10, packaging 6/10. Would I buy again? No.

  • It’s floral, powdery yet sweet and citrusy, like the scent of a baby. I’m fascinated by it and find it comforting when I’m down; I feel embraced by the fragrance.

  • Edith Lirre

It smells lovely, powdery but not like cosmetics. It’s feminine and tender, reminiscent of baby powder products with a subtle sweetness, without smelling like diapers. I like it!

  • It smells just like English Cologne: citrusy, sweet, vanilla-scented, with orange blossom, until it gives me a slight headache. Over time, it becomes dustier and more vanilla with green nuances, losing intensity. It’s not bad, but I prefer English Cologne before spending a whole bottle.

  • Don’t judge too quickly; it works well on my skin. Maybe it’s not for every skin type, as the opening is intense and more powdery than the original Flower. The neroli dominates, smelling like a field of flowers with cotton petals. Charming and recommended, especially for darker skin tones!

  • If you like citrus, this is for you. It’s not exotic or unique, but it’s exquisite, easy to wear, and ideal for sunny days. Highly recommended!

  • Aprendiz

I thought I’d like this flanker more than the classic Flower. I loved its citrus opening, but in the heart it turns powdery just like the original, something I can’t stand. That heavy powder note is overwhelming; I’ve only worn it twice and put it away. I’ll give it another try sometime.

  • I thought this flanker would be better than the Flower, and I loved its citrus opening, but the heart notes are once again too powdery for me to handle. I put it aside after two uses, though I might try it again.

  • It smells like a sweet citrus with orange blossom, vanilla, and ginger; it’s just as tender as JPG’s Classique Cabaret, perfect for anyone seeking something feminine without being cloying. I recommend it!
