At first, it seemed too strong and smelled like cheap alcohol, kind of like spilled whiskey, but over time I discovered its true charm. My girlfriend, who has always loved it, confirmed it’s incredible. After letting it air out for two months, the alcohol evaporated and now you can smell that rich, masculine, woody essence with a hint of honey—very formal. Not for everyday wear, but for when you’re dressed up. 10/10. By the way, the same trick worked with other Natura perfumes that seemed alcoholic to me, so I’ll leave you with that tip.

At first, it didn’t convince me at all, but once it dries down, it smells amazing. It’s not something to wear without being dressed up; you need to wear it with clothes on.

The best of the entire Essential line. It outshines the vanilla one and stands right up there with regular oud. It’s absolutely delicious, very peppery, ideal for going out partying in winter.
-
NachoJurado
Without a doubt, the best of the Essential line by far. It fixes the less appealing part of classic oud and makes it more wearable, without losing its seriousness. It’s a perfume monster.
-

A masterpiece from Natura. Smells niche but is easy to wear in winter. It’s a soft oud with the spices it promises. Perfect for people aged 30 to 35 or older.

Exquisite quality perfume. For dressing up in autumn or winter, nothing to envy from designer brands. Lasts about 6 hours and you’ll surely get compliments. Along with Palo Santo and regular Oud, it’s among the best of the brand. I recommend it without hesitation.

I bought it because of the reviews and because I wanted to try Natura, specifically the Essential Oud. At first, it didn’t convince me much, but after using it several times, I liked it. It bears very little resemblance to Tato; in fact, it’s softer. The projection isn’t the best and the longevity is average, but for cold climates, it’s top-notch.

Natura Essential Oud Pimenta is a fragrance I took a long time to understand, but today it’s one of my favorites for dressing elegantly in winter. Watch out, it’s not for hoodies, but for casual wear like a leather jacket or something more formal. At first, you might think it’s difficult because it doesn’t smell common, but that’s what makes it unique. It has wood, red fruits, and rose, where the pepper just boosts the rest. It’s fresh yet warm. Give it time, it’s a hidden gem. For the price it has, it’s the best. Plus, people have given me many positive compliments, never negative. Final note: 8/10.

The best of the Essential Ouds. Truly elegant, without the syrupy smell of classic oud or the plastic vibe of vanilla. If you’re looking for something elegant at a good price, this is it. It’s more of a night scent, though it works great in formal office environments. Excellent performance.

Holy crap! That’s the first impression when you apply it. It’s accessible niche, very cheap, and high quality. I don’t smell the pepper, but rather fruity notes, especially red fruits. It’s sweet, potent, and intoxicating. If you’re used to commercial perfumes like Phantom or One Million, don’t be scared; there’s nothing here like ‘Nutella,’ it’s for trained noses used to dense and special perfumes. Its older brother, Essential Oud, is an atomic bomb, and this isn’t much different: it lasts at least 8 hours on the skin, projects strongly for over two hours, and lasts days on clothes. As a collector, having these two gems makes me very happy.

I smelled this on someone else and it reminded me of Bentley for Men Intense. When tested side by side, they follow the same trail, but Bentley’s leather note is noticeably missing here. Despite the differences, it’s an excellent alternative since it costs half the price and the brand quality is solid. I recommend testing it before buying; it’s not one of those easy, crowd-pleasing scents. It’s darker and less versatile. I find it perfect for cool or fresh weather in semi-formal settings. Totally masculine with great potency and longevity—you can smell it even with just a few sprays. Great job by Natura here, outstanding value for money. 09/10

Without a doubt, it’s hard to wear, but it’s spectacular. It’s like opening an old book archived in a library.

Horrible. Smells like medicine.

This perfume is a hidden gem. Right after applying it, you need to step back because it hits you with a blast of red berries over a dark, wet wood and alcohol base. It’s super potent and intoxicating, but not easy to wear daily. It’s totally unique with that distinct Arab touch from the oud and spices. Compliments? Pfft! It’s one of the most complimented scents in my collection, thanks to its power and unique aroma. The last one I got was: ‘Wow, that’s a great man smell, I love it.’

This perfume is a hidden gem. The first thing you notice upon spraying is to take a step back; it hits you with a blast of red fruits and a dark base like wood soaked in alcohol. Super potent and intoxicating, but by no means easy to wear. It’s not for daily use; quite the opposite, it’s totally unique with its own Arab touch featuring oud and spices. Compliments? Pfft, it’s one of the ones in my collection that generates the most compliments, largely due to its potency and distinctiveness. The last compliment I got was: ‘Wow, that’s the scent of a man you left behind, I love it.’

More than roses, it smells like red fruits. I think there’s a Mistral Ice red fruit version and this smells very similar. I didn’t expect much from this fragrance and was pleasantly surprised; it’s one of my favorites and the one visitors love most when I show them my collection. It has a soft, slightly powdery aroma with red fruits—that’s what it is for me. A fresh, spiced, and woody unisex masculine scent. I wouldn’t wear it in extreme heat. You’ll get compliments.

This fragrance has nothing to do with typical catalog scents; it smells sophisticated and unique. It’s not versatile but among the three Oud Essentials it’s the freshest. I see it for elegant attire formal or special occasions; this is zero casual. The rose is very rich a note often associated with femininity but here executed perfectly making me feel comfortable wearing it. Does it smell old? Maybe depending on your olfactory experience; novices or the average person might perceive it as old but those with a seasoned nose will appreciate it better. Unless you love rose oriental scents and unique fragrances I recommend buying the 25ml pack of all three. I won’t finish a 100ml bottle of this in five years. By the way I don’t smell the pepper at all; it’s more like ‘Essential Oud Rose’.

This perfume is far from catalog-style; it smells sophisticated and unconventional. I don’t find it versatile. If it’s true that among the three Essential Ouds it’s the freshest, I consider it a fragrance for elegant dressing, for formal or special occasions. This is 0% casual. The rose note feels incredibly rich; sometimes associated with femininity, but here it’s executed so well that I feel comfortable wearing it. Does it smell old? Maybe it does. It depends on your olfactory experience. Novices and the masses might smell ‘old’ (or ‘old lady’) in it, while noses with some olfactory journey will appreciate it better. Unless you love rose, somewhat oriental, and unconventional scents, I recommend buying the 25ml pack of the three. I won’t finish a 100ml bottle of this fragrance in five years. By the way, I don’t smell any pepper at all. It would be more like Essential Oud Rose.

I won’t buy it again. It smells old, it’s for a gentleman already in his 50s. That scent stings right up to the brain; I scared my wife with it. She said it smelled like an older man, an opening and closing ceremony.

As the saying goes, ‘To each their own nose.’ Honestly, out of the three Essential Ouds, this is the one I liked the least. I don’t know if the perfume is defective (though the box says it expires in 2026), if that’s just how it is, or if it was stored poorly. I’d even say I didn’t like it at all. I bought the 20ml set of the three ouds; I’m not sure if that matters. On my skin, it smells like chemical bath water, like the disinfectant liquid used in gas station restrooms with a very strong chemical odor, and the worst part is that this smell lasts throughout the entire duration. It’s impossible for me to bring my nose close to smell it. I suppose it’s my skin or my nose, because all the comments and reviews I’ve read are positive. For now, I’ve kept it in its box, maybe I’ll give it another chance later.

As an expert says, ‘beauty is in the eye of the beholder.’ Of the three Essential Ouds, this is the one I liked the least. I’m not sure if it’s defective (the box says it expires in 2026) or if it just smells like this, though I’d say I didn’t like it at all. I bought the 20ml set of all three; I’m not sure if that made a difference. On my skin, it smells like chemical bath water, like gas station disinfectant, with a very strong chemical scent that lasts the entire duration. It’s impossible to get close to smell it. I guess it’s my skin or my nose, since everything I read says it’s good. For now, I’m keeping it in the box, maybe I’ll give it another shot later.

You’ll hardly find a perfume with oud so well crafted and composed for such a low price. My favorite in the line. It’s not a sweet perfume, except for a hint of patchouli or another note, but mostly in the background. Here, spiced notes predominate with the oud in the base.

I grabbed the 3x25ml pack with the Classic Oud and Vanilla Oud. Out of the three, this was my favorite; it feels easier to wear, with a fresh and fruity touch. But watch out: I can’t recommend this Natura line. Yes, the perceived quality is brutal and you pay very little for something so good, but at 35, I feel it’s too serious and formal. I’d only wear it for special events, and for those, I already have better options. In short: amazing quality but hard to style. EDIT 2025: quality dropped, 3/10.

Beautiful fragrance… lovers of oud will absolutely adore it. It’s less sweet than its sister, Essencial Oud, much fresher and spicier. It’s neither piercing nor cloying. Even if it’s synthetic and not ‘niche,’ it’s a masterpiece. Don’t recommend sniffing it from the bottle because it smells completely different once applied. As it dries down, you notice very subtle sweet notes blending with a high-quality, elegant, and refined aroma, especially masculine.

Ander7R
It doesn’t look like a catalog perfume; it’s very pleasant and has designer vibes. You can tell this house is putting enthusiasm into the quality of their fragrances in this line. The performance is quite good. Although I think it should be called Essencial Roses & Red Fruits, because literally that’s how it smells on my skin: a delicious combination of roses and red fruits that remains masculine. It has nothing to do with the Essencial Oud; at some point, as a fellow reviewer said, it could remind you of Oud Lemon Mint, but it’s just a fleeting glimpse of a few seconds; they are very different.

Did you not take a shower? my daughter asked. ‘Does it smell terrible?’ ‘No, it smells good, but weird. It smells like body odor, but good.’ To my nose, it’s much more oudy than the rest of the Essencial Oud; more woody and animalistic, I’d say more so than Kouros or Weil pour Homme. I can’t help but think of wild, bestial sex when I smell it. Maybe this is what Tom of Finland for ELDO should have been. PS: I’m testing it again, yes, it’s oud and roses. It feels like if it were packaged differently and sold under an exclusive distribution brand (‘niche’), many would speak marvels. Thinking about it… Natura products don’t have good distribution in the USA and Europe, so we can certainly say they are ‘niche fragrances’:)

Gio Hilfiger
The best version of the OUD trilogy; I won’t talk about notes or technical details, just say that I feel it’s the most serious and mature version; undoubtedly one of the house’s best.

I was gifted a sample and it caught my attention. Maybe I’ll buy it. Am I the only one who reminds me of Mancera’s Aoud Lemon Mint?
-

In the opening, it’s a clone of Al-Rehab’s Oud & Rose, only later it turns citrusy.

I bought a discovery set that included Essencial Oud, Oud Pepper, and Oud Vanilla, all for men. All three fragrances are truly exquisite. I, without having a refined sense of smell, however, in my collection of over 200 fragrances between niche and commercial, I dare to say they are gems. The Essencial Oud Pepper is very, very similar to Initio’s Side Effect. One in each hand and after 10 minutes, the difference is almost unnoticeable; they are very similar. I’d say the great Veronica Kato was inspired by Side Effect to create this beauty. Believe me, buy it blind, you won’t regret it. Occasions? Definitely. Moments? At night, a romantic dinner, it’s a safe bet.

I bought it a while ago, it’s a delight. The liquid is an intense coffee, giving a peppery tickle in the nose that catches attention. It gives a curious sense of serenity; when I really wear it, I feel serious and powerful, with an incredible mood capable of laughing at anything. I use it for special occasions, not for work because making it monotonous would be an offense to this perfume; it’s for when you want to go somewhere safe. It’s soft to perceive, according to those who’ve told me, but it smells like people ask what it is because it’s so exquisite. Totally recommended if you’re a real man, western style. An aroma you can wear with any rocker style, ugh, a delight!! Highly recommended. It lasts for days on clothes.

I found it similar to the Essencial Oud, I don’t remember if it’s identical but it’s very close… It’s not an aroma I dislike, but I get sick of it and feel overwhelmed by how persistent the classic version is. Definitely not something to buy blind.

I found it similar to the Essential Oud, not sure if it’s the same but it smells very much alike. It’s not a scent I dislike, but I find it overwhelming and suffocating that the classic version is so persistent. Definitely not something to buy blind.

Another gem from Natura’s Oud line. I own Essential Vanilla Oud and this one which is the most complex with the best performance. Upon spraying it opens with a citrusy spicy note that lingers throughout the wear with black pepper very prominent. I also detect apple reminiscent of cider or kombucha (for those unfamiliar it’s a delicious alcoholic fermentation). After 10 minutes the red fruits woods and balsamic character emerge. You can smell the leather rose vetiver and cilantro; the other notes are less distinct. The oud is barely noticeable but for an extra $40 you can’t ask for much better. It reminds me a lot of Lataffa’s Badee Al Oud in its dry-down (sharing all its notes except the nut). It’s a catalog fragrance that could easily cost triple and still be justified especially compared to many mainstream designer scents sold like bread with half the effort. Every day I learn more about perfumes smelling masterpieces like these from this house makes it clear I don’t need to buy any designer stuff anymore. In short: longevity over 10 hours lasts days on clothes spectacular scent magnificent sillage smells expensive and no one will notice you only paid two Andrew Jacksons for what you’re wearing.

I bought it recently and absolutely loved it. It starts very spicy but not sharp or annoying; on the contrary the pepper smells great. As it dries down the sweets and oud appear though the pepper remains. It’s a fantastic fragrance with great performance ideal for temperate or cold climates suitable for both formal and casual wear. I also own Essential Oud and they are very different; I tested them on each hand and the contrast is obvious. Without hesitation I would buy it again.

Picked this up recently and I’m really impressed. It opens with a spicy note that doesn’t sting, just smells amazing, with black pepper taking the lead. As it dries down, the sweetness and oud come through, but the pepper stays present. It’s a fantastic fragrance, lasts forever, and is perfect for going out in mild or cold weather, whether dressed up or down. I already own the Essential Oud, and they’re completely different; wearing one on each hand creates an incredible contrast. I’ll definitely buy this again.

Sorry, it’s unisex, a bit bitter, and has a vintage vibe. I can’t distinguish its DNA. I love its spicy freshness; I clearly perceive the iris note, and that’s probably why it won my heart from the very first moment. To my nose, it feels very far from what’s in fashion. I want to have it, even if it’s just the 25ml mini version.
Finally, I was able to try this and its male version. I was surprised in the first few minutes, then it lost its magic. For the first ten minutes, the pepper stood out with something chocolatey and mentholated, which gave me a distant memory of the Essential Myrrh for Men (if you already know, nothing to do with the reviews I see, but hey, every nose is different). There was also a semi-fruitous oud that reminded me from afar of traditional oud. Then I felt it boosted in sweetness, with a stronger floral part and powdery leaning towards vintage; I didn’t like that part. It’s not something to buy blindly.
Finally tried this and its male version. I was surprised at first, but then it lost its magic. The first ten minutes, the pepper stood out with something chocolatey and mentholated, giving me distant memories of the Essential Mirra men’s (every nose is different), plus a somewhat fruity oud that reminded me of the traditional one. Then I felt the sweetness intensify, along with the floral part and the vintage dusty touch, and that’s where I didn’t like it. Not a buy-blind fragrance.
I have a decant and it seemed like an excellent fragrance, very unisex, lasts quite a bit, and has a moderate sillage. On my nose, at first, there’s a lot of citrus with pepper and cardamomo; in its mid-stage, the cardamomo persists, and I notice palo santo, cedar, myrrh, and an amber base with a soft oud and a nice leather (though it’s not declared) embraced by the oud and amber, and this mid-stage lasts almost until the very end, leaving a peppery amber with cardamomo and a soft oud. I’d rate it a 10 out of 10; I wouldn’t change anything about it.
It’s a beauty!! The opening is pure pepper, but the dry-down is wonderful and lasts quite a while. It’s just a contrast, but it’s beautiful. More sparkling and less sober than Essence Oud Vanilla.
It’s such a sacred scent that when I wear it, I feel surrounded by a halo of mysticism. A bomb of spices with ceremonial flowers; the pepper stands out, adding audacity and spark. I don’t see copal in the notes; perhaps the fragrance’s alchemists created a similar note through the fusion of the other resins. And yes, it brings me memories of incense and copal ceremonies held and witnessed in the American continent. This ceremonial note isn’t dominant; it’s felt at times, blending with the beautiful aroma of iris, pepper, oud, myrrh, white birch, and jasmine. Definitely, this fragrance isn’t for every taste, but for those who know how to appreciate the elegance of carrying precious and magical elements nature gives us. Would you dare to wear it?
Essencial Oud Pepper on my skin feels like an amalgam of pure woods, between wet and smoky, with no sweetness and some peppery notes that are slightly spicy, mentholated, and herbal. I have mixed feelings about this fragrance because it’s not one of my favorites, yet I love applying it. I live in a permanently warm climate zone, and I think it develops very well in this environment. I consider it a creative gamble by Natura that you should try at least once to perceive things you typically don’t feel in catalog perfumes. That’s all. But I insist, I just love applying it. The reason is that it lasts very well, pairs great with cotton clothes, and absolutely no one will smell this in an immediate environment.
On my skin, it’s a blend of wet and smoky woods, no sweetness, with spicy, mentholated, and herbal notes. I have mixed feelings: it’s not my favorite, but I love wearing it. In my warm climate, it develops beautifully. It’s a creative gamble from Natura that invites you to discover aromas not usually found in catalog perfumes. The reason I like wearing it is that it lasts long, pairs well with cotton clothes, and no one, absolutely no one, will smell it up close.
I love how it sits on my skin. I perceive it as a powdery woody fragrance. From the start, the quality feels way above its price point. That spicy opening has a sweet but soft touch—nothing loud or cloying. The saffron and its rough vibe are noticeable, that typical smell of market aisles selling chilies and spices. Then comes the dry-down, my favorite part, with a slightly animal feel. Suddenly, I get that stable touch, but not of horses, rather of unicorns. It smells like unicorn sweat (damn good grass) LOL, and it’s that subtle, barely perceptible touch that I love most about how it settles on the skin. It definitely doesn’t smell like a feminine perfume; I’d bet you could pass it off as unisex due to that powdery dry-down texture, but honestly, it works great on mature men. As for women, let me tell you the truth, not every woman will feel comfortable with it, hmm, no. I think women used to semi-animal, woody, and deliciously spicy scents will be comfortable with this Essencial Oud Pepper Femme. How nice to find these bold proposals from a catalog house at an excellent price when on sale. Natura fragrances are getting better and better.
I love how it settles on my skin. At first, it smells like dusty wood with a sweet spicy touch—soft, not cloying; you can detect the saffron and that rough market-hall vibe with chilies. Then comes the dry-down, my favorite part: a subtle animal note, like a unicorn stable (wow, what great grass), which makes it noticeable on the skin without feeling like a feminine perfume. It’s unisex due to that texture, but ideal for mature men; women will only tolerate it if they’re used to semi-animal and spicy scents. What a pleasure to find bold proposals from Natura at a good price; the brand keeps getting better.
This perfume disappointed me a lot. The scent felt overwhelming and unpleasant to me. I understand it tries to be elegant and sophisticated, but it simply smells like incense. It’s not a fragrance for everyone; it’s destined for those who enjoy spicy aromas. I don’t find many subtleties in it, unlike other fragrances in the Essential line.
This perfume really disappointed me. The scent was overwhelming and unpleasant. I get that it tries to be elegant and sophisticated, but it just smells like incense to me. It’s not for everyone; it’s made for those who enjoy spicy aromas. I don’t find many subtleties in it, unlike other fragrances in the Essencial line.
I love it, I adore it, I’m fascinated by it. The dry-down is a delight.
Finally, I got it; it’s discontinued here in Argentina. The opening doesn’t fascinate me; too much lime and cardamom, strange at first, reminding me of a repellent or a Vick VapoRub from another brand, but then it becomes much spicier. On my skin, the jasmine settles with a musky touch and soft oud wood; it gets slightly spicy but very mild. It doesn’t drive me crazy or disappoint me, even though the opening stinks; luckily, it dissipates quickly, giving way to a scent I approve of.
Essential Oud Pepper is a catalog proposal, Natura’s foray into niche to create experiences rather than mass-market products. I’d describe it as feminine, warm, and spicy, dominated by pink pepper, lemon, and myrrh. I like it, but it’s not my favorite in the mini Oud collection; I consider it more versatile than Oud Vanilla. Projection and longevity are average; it’s pleasant, sober, and geared toward the trendy Arab style. Due to the pepper load, it’s spicy and the most festive in the family. It doesn’t resemble Luna Ruby. Important: don’t buy it blindly, as it might not suit you if you prefer gourmands, sweet florals, or sugary scents. Even if you like the traditional Essential Oud, there’s a distance between them. Who will love it: lovers of spicy and powdery perfumes.
I don’t recommend buying it blindly because it’s not conventional. It’s very spicy, warm, and woody. Based on my experience and what I’ve heard, it varies hugely depending on the skin. I bought a travel size because a friend liked it, but then I hated how it stayed on me; I feel the pepper is overwhelming. On paper, it seems kinder, with more floral and citrus notes. For now, I’ll combine it with other perfumes and won’t buy it again, although it is very special.

I’d pair it with other scents, not wear it alone, but it’s very special.
Don’t buy it blindly. It’s for those who love perfumes like YSL Opium. On me, it’s pure cardamom and pepper, leaning unisex but mostly masculine.
Don’t buy it blindly. I think only someone who enjoys perfumes like YSL’s Opium will truly enjoy it. On my skin, it’s pure cardamom and pepper, leaning unisex towards masculine.
Another majestic move from Natura with an incredibly cheap oud that lasts forever and smells amazing. Applause for this amazing perfume that I’d buy a thousand times over. Perfect for layering with something calm and citrusy.
It smells like a witch, very mystical, perhaps due to the myrrh and palo santo; if you’ve ever incensed your home, it smells like that, but good, not negative. It’s not for daily use; I’ll wear it at night when it cools down to be in femme-fatal mode. It’s not for those seeking typical fresh perfumes, but it’s not overwhelming; the oud is integrated and doesn’t weigh it down. If you love gourmands, you won’t like it. I bought it blindly on sale for 400 pesos and it was a steal. It’s a fragrance no one will guess is from a catalog; it seems super expensive and evolves very well.
A masterpiece. Spiced, powdery, and sophisticated. Even though they say it’s feminine, I feel it’s more masculine or unisex. Versatile for any day, though it shines in cold weather and at night. It captures attention with its mystery and magic. From my experience, the men’s version is equally good in quality but takes a different path. Recommended for those seeking something unconventional and non-commercial.
Smells like witchcraft, very mystical thanks to the myrrh and palo santo, as if you just smoked the house out. Rich scent, but not for daily wear; I use it at night on cool days for that femme fatale vibe. It’s not heavy; the oud blends in perfectly. If you love gourmands, this won’t be for you—don’t buy blindly. I bought it blindly on a deal for 400 pesos and it was an absolute steal. Since it’s from the catalog, no one will guess what it is; it smells super expensive. Evolves beautifully.
No oud here—just elegant notes of iris and myrrh. Unisex? Absolutely.
A very singular aroma without a doubt. Pepper dominates, though myrrh, cedar, and palo santo are also distinguishable. It’s a spice bomb not for the weak. To my nose, the pepper lingers for hours, even the next day. I only use it in cold weather and open spaces, because otherwise it gives me a headache; it’s very strong. I was gifted it, but I wouldn’t have bought it and won’t buy it. However, for those who love these aromas or trendy Arab scents, they might like it a lot.
Unique scent where black pepper takes the lead, though you can still detect myrrh, cedar, and palo santo. It’s a spice bomb not for the faint of heart; it lasts me hours and even into the next day. I only wear it in cool weather and outdoors, otherwise it’s too intense. I received it as a gift, but I wouldn’t have bought it myself. Perfect for fans of spicy aromas or the trendy Arabic style.
