I followed the hype and fortunately only tested it. What a huge disappointment. It smells like women’s makeup powder. Not very masculine, bad scent, doesn’t provoke anything special. In fact, it’s one of the worst I’ve smelled from Natura. I tested Palo Santo that same afternoon, and it wins by far.
Good scent, special for enclosed spaces or dates, can be used in the cold.
It’s spectacular, nothing to envy from a designer one. In the style of Bvlgari Man in Black but a bit more citrusy, according to my nose. It’s 100% for MEN: if you’re used to JPG nonsense and cling to that, it’s not for you, or your sense of smell needs to mature.
I have it and can say its hype is exaggerated. I bought it based on review videos. It’s a good scent but doesn’t blow minds; it’s one of the lowest in my collection. It’s an unsophisticated scent; the dry down smells synthetic and has a 90s reminiscence. You can’t expect much for the $18 price tag, but they aren’t trying to trick you into thinking it replaces a well-crafted perfume. Its use is for the office in autumn/winter; I wouldn’t use it for an intimate date or as a joke. It smells better on skin than on clothes. Longevity and projection are a bit above average for designer perfumes.
Excellent fragrance, but with caveats (be careful when buying blind). No issues with longevity; it’s quite long-lasting; the trail is more subtle and intimate. The scent is good, and yes, it resembles Bvlgari Man in Black quite a bit, with the difference being that Bvlgari is more elegant or serious, with alcoholic and tobacco notes that Homem Tato lacks and replaces with an iris that I find creamier and bitter. The smell is basically scraping an orange peel with spices and flowers. It’s sweet and spiced with a bitter and floral base; the flowers are noticeable and that feminine touch—an adult woman and a “masculine” man could wear it. However, it doesn’t smell like a lady; it maintains masculinity and becomes creamier over time, reaching a sexy and intimate level. The sweetness isn’t fruity, vanilla, or gourmand, but given by the flowers. The downside: the balsamic notes and iris, if you don’t like flowers or a balm scent, avoid this fragrance; it’s quite noticeable and can even smell like makeup. But given the price and longevity, it’s still very good, intimate, leaning unisex towards masculine, and very creamy, with sweet floral and many warm spices. Recommended for dates or special evening outings or cold afternoons. 8/10.
Homem Tato is a fragrance that wraps the sense of smell with its woods, pepper, leather, and a very pleasant slight sweet base. I use it for winter and cold days, where it shines the most. It tends to be a bit flat and hard to perceive all its notes at first, but once you get to know it, you feel every note and enjoy it quite a bit. I give it an 8/10. Longevity 8/10, Scent 8/10, Trail 7/10, Price 9/10. It’s a good fragrance, very well crafted, tasty, versatile, elegant, and fulfilling.
I read it further down and agree. It has a nineties vibe; my grandfather (very fashionable) used something very similar when he was around 60, driving his impeccable Falcon with a leather jacket and jeans. To me, it smells like that, like that memory. I don’t like it on my husband, but well, it’s very subjective, and I can’t say it’s a bad scent.
At first, it didn’t seem that good coming from Giesso 01 and Kingston 1989 Brown, which are a different vibe. But once I started using it, wow, it completely changed the game. It’s delicious when it dries down: it starts spicy and transforms into a delicious leather scent.
By far not the best (or the best) aroma from Natura. Does it resemble Spice Bomb, Spice Bomb Extreme, and/or Bvlgari Man in Black? Yes, it’s not identical, there are differences, but the similarity is evident. Great fragrance. If you like those three, this is a safe blind buy. Good ingredient quality. The performance is moderate: 1.5 to 2 hours projecting well up to 1 or 1.5 meters, then it drops significantly to a personal bubble of 30cm, shrinking to skin-level and disappearing by 5 or 5:30 PM, but throughout that time there are soft bursts. Convenient price. I don’t complain, they’re moderate, but with this type of notes, I prefer it to project this way rather than overwhelm; if it were overwhelming, with these notes, it would be vulgar. Being subtle gives it elegance, making it suitable even with a suit and tie. Tested at 26°C: spectacular performance. From 7:00 AM until past 10:00 PM on the same day on skin, it’s always perceptible, without being beastly. The trail was constantly felt after 2:00 PM. Incredible. At those 26°C in dry (not humid) weather, it’s perceived pleasantly, with some weight but not heavy. Really a pleasant experience.
Loved it instantly. Since I’d never tried Bvlgari before, I thought this was enough, but now it reminds me a lot of Dior’s Fahrenheit. It’s a woody, leathery, and sweet scent without being overpowering (reminds me of a samarium). I tested it in summer, and even though I was about 23 feet away from my sister, both she and my mom said it smelled like perfume; my mom absolutely loved it. As for longevity: I put it on at 8 PM and could still smell it at 10 AM the next day; this is the first time this has happened. For me, with my reptilian skin, it’s a 10/10. I’ll update in winter and with my girlfriend’s opinion, but for my part, go ahead and buy it (I’m 23 and would wear it, though if it’s -20 degrees and you don’t have a serious personality, you might think twice).
Incredible. I bought one in 2023/2024, and while it initially lasted less than 4 hours, once macerated it easily lasts more than 6 hours on skin with good projection and sillage. It’s rich, talcum-like, masculine, and heavy in a good way. I recommend it for ages 23+, suitable for the office or going out. Ideal for winter, though it shines very well in some cool springs. I’ll buy it again.
I went to a Natura store and sprayed Tato on a blotter, then went to a perfumerie and sprayed Bvulgari Man in Black on another. I let them dry and kept looking at fragrances. After 5 minutes, I started smelling and I swear I liked Tato more, more present and intense. A salesperson who saw me smelling asked if she could help. I gave her the Natura blotter, and she said it was delicious; the Man in Black one she called soft. She told me I was saving 250,000 pesos, since Bvulgari was 315,000 and Natura was 68,000. Natura is a beast, long-lasting, masculine, sexy, and a winner. The best of the bunch with nothing to envy from Bvulgari.
Very masculine, the notes are spot on. If you want to smell like a stud, this is your fragrance. Enjoy it in winter or fall. First spray: I felt black pepper in the opening, then leather mixed with iris in the base, and finally everything together. They integrate very well, leaving a rich aroma.
I find it stronger and more intense than BMIB. A very mature, full masculine fragrance for a big guy, type +45, at a formal gathering. It’s not my style; maybe people of that age would like it more. What stands out is the longevity and projection, which you can’t get at this price even here in Argentina. It has the performance of Tato, speaking from here in Argentina. It’s perfect for a suit-up night with extreme cold and to lift old spirits.
Smells great, lasts about 6 hours, and projects quite a bit. Considering the value, it’s a luxury. Very similar to Man in Black but with better performance. It doesn’t seem like a mature fragrance; I see it more as a night scent. Of what I’ve tried, it’s the best Natura option for men. If you’re looking for a winter scent with the best quality/price ratio, this is undoubtedly the best choice.
As of now, I’ve used many Natura colognes: Dom, Potence, Urbe, Intense, Conexão de Humor, among others. I recommend many, others less so, but Tato is the best of them all.
It was my date perfume for years, until the February 2024 batch. No sillage, 30 minutes of projection, and 4 hours on skin—my tears were endless. I let it macerate for a year and nothing changed. Disastrous work by Natura; it’s just a fabric freshener. This has happened with other perfumes from that batch. Something was tampered with en masse. Homem Tato smells like melted plastic over smoky woods, not the sweet, seductive iris of before. Horrible. I’ll keep my stock of the addictive perfume it used to be. I uninstalled the Natura app. Don’t waste your money; look for perfumes from 2023 and earlier.
I bought it on sale for $18 to try it out given the good reviews. I don’t know much about notes, but the opening feels weird and abrupt, maybe peppery, and lasts only 3 minutes. That’s when the magic starts: a delicious dry-down. I wear it in the office with AC, and ladies love it. I wouldn’t wear it in the heat. It has moderate sillage and lasts all day on skin. For the price, it’s a gem.
Smells rich, like new tires but elegant and smooth. The opening is the worst part, but after 30 minutes it leaves a strange scent.
What a pity I got the new batch of Tato!
I loved its aroma; I smell sweet tobacco alongside spicy and balsamic notes, it’s beautiful. I’m a woman and I feel it’s totally unisex.
Indeed, it’s an improved Bvlgari MIB. It opens almost identical, but as it dries down, it feels more fruity, less alcoholic, and powdery. It follows that line but is more youthful, not like the Bentley some compare it to. Definitely much more wearable and pleasant than the previous ones.
It smells rich, but use it at night or under 72 degrees, haha. Personally, I get more annoyed when someone wears Natura Coraggio. But in the end, isn’t it about liking what you wear, not what others wear?
It’s a pop version of Bvlgari Man in Black, friendlier and easier to like. It smells like a Peruvian dessert called ‘arroz con leche’ (rice pudding) due to the sweet and cinnamon blend. In Peru, it costs 85 soles for 100 ml ($23), making it highly recommended. Ideal for dates or casual weekend outings.
Corillo, this perfume is a ‘panty dropper,’ a wolf catcher. It’s super close to Bvlgari Man in Black and has a distant note of Herod by Parfums de Marly. The opening is peppery without being spicy, with an indeterminate sweet touch. Minutes later, the cinnamon-sandalwood appears and a very faint hint of palo santo and incense in the back. It closes with calm leather and a predominant sweetness, even though cinnamon isn’t listed in the notes. For the price I paid, it’s worth it for a humble-value collection. Blind buy? Yes, most will like it; it’s not niche or challenging at all. Magnetic cap! Ideal for dates with the cold in Santiago. It cost me $21,000 CLP (about $22 USD).
It’s a mature scent where you notice the pepper immediately. Some like it, others don’t, but I’ve received compliments from ladies for it. I recommend it for cold weather and night. Moderate price, sometimes high (better to look for it on discount at Natura). Moderate longevity and a trail that reaches beyond the arm.
The first time I took my girlfriend to try Bvlgari Man in Black, her reaction was immediate: ‘Smells like an old man.’ It wasn’t a brutal rejection, but it was a barrier. It had something imposing, like dark rum and leather, with a smoky jazz bar vibe. A few days later, we tried Natura Homem Tato and there was no rejection; she leaned in more because Tato doesn’t project as much, it invites you closer. It has a creamy warmth with cocoa, soft woods, and nutmeg without being heavy. While Man in Black hits with presence, Tato wraps you in charm. One says ‘look at me,’ the other says ‘come closer.’ Tato is the decaf version of Man in Black: same essence, less drama, more skin and hug. Sometimes you don’t need to impress, just stay close enough for them to smell you again.
I love it if you’re mature, 30 and up. It’s perfect for the office: one day my coworker and I wore the same perfume and smelled identical, even though I brought a different one. It’s rare for a catalog fragrance to smell like a natural niche scent. I own several designer fragrances, but some from Natura have left me impressed.
Just opened my first bottle, and guided by these reviews, the fragrance is rich once it settles, warm, and perfect for summer, though not for extreme heat or sweat. It has a spicy kick (pepper and cardamom) followed by a subtle smoky nuance (leather). The base is powdery, creamy, and tight amber. It’s a spicy, powdery, and amber composition that’s pleasant, but maybe only for those who want to look decent without everyone adoring it. Totally masculine, ideal for casual or semi-formal moments with brown leather outfits. I bought it on discount like the Homem Neo; I wouldn’t buy it at regular price because I don’t think it’s worth it. Smells good.
It smells rich, though it starts a bit artificial before balancing out into a harmonious scent. For the price in Argentina, there are other options in the same style, like Liquid Brun by French Avenue. It’s easy to like and pleasant, but overpriced for what it offers.
BEAST!! At first, I didn’t appreciate it, but it’s a wonderful scent—Natura’s best, and there’s no complaint about the price. It’s neither youthful nor for older folks; it’s right in the middle. If you’re a young man, I’d use it. If you don’t know what to buy and want a safe, masculine scent, go for this Homem Tato.
Great perfume, although the opening is horrible, the dry-down is exquisite, with good longevity and projection. Even though you shouldn’t buy it blindly, it’s among Natura’s finest.
Still one of Natura’s best. Recommended; I notice a bit of the classic Fahrenheit mixed with the other ingredients. Smells like a classic fragrance; highly recommended.
Warm and top-notch quality. Natura has leveled up in their catalog perfumes. The Essential Palo Santo has something of the Homem Tato, but it’s not the same. The Tato has chocolate and balsam notes; this one doesn’t quite hit that. I love the Tato. It’s not for kids or college students trying to stand out; it’s for mature people with serious jobs.
It’s a quality beast, though it stings a bit at first. It lasts all day and leaves a trail; ideal for cold weather and formal suits, haha. Very good, but don’t buy it blindly; some say it smells old at the start, but to me it sounds like ripe orange, and then the quality shines through—it smells more expensive than it costs.
My friends love it, but don’t tell my girlfriend 😥. I’ve read that it ‘doesn’t invade, it invites.’ I like it more on women than men; my girlfriend adores it—that’s a huge win. She’s liked other perfumes, but this one she was closest to smelling. It’s great, just avoid over-spraying. 100% formal/mature and for cold weather. You don’t need to be older, just dress accordingly. I don’t like the opening, but it dries down richly. The only thing that doesn’t convince me is the powdery scent; it makes me think of an old man. But nothing takes away from its tremendous quality. Overall it’s an 8.5, but given the price, it’s a 10. Maybe my favorite.
Spicy opening and dark woods, warm from start to finish. At first, I get typical Natura spices that I love; after half an hour, a sweet, powdery side emerges with a serious vibe. Good longevity, moderate projection—it doesn’t invade but leaves intrigue. A masculine perfume for formal or smart-casual settings, always well-dressed. Niche quality at this price point (25,000 CLP); nothing to envy. It’s not sweet for everyone, test it first. There are many Natura stores in Chile to smell it before buying.
Sour orange with fresh spices but a dark twist; perfect for cold days or evening. It’s very soft, a ‘fresh-dark’ masculine fragrance that doesn’t stand out but also doesn’t bother anyone.
I bought this blindly as my first perfume; at first, I hated the scent—I was only 16, so it was obvious. Five years later, I realize it’s an absolute beast, definitely Natura’s best. It’s herbal and spicy in a rich way, but be warned: zero versatility, only for elegant occasions. The downside is it has no sillage, doesn’t last, and barely lingers on clothes. I wouldn’t buy it again today because Natura raised prices so much; I think you could get a good designer fragrance for a bit more.
I was gifted this, and I have to say it’s not one of my favorites; it literally smells damp, and the sandalwood is way too prominent. Even though they say it’s for very cold days, it just doesn’t work for me right now.
