What a pleasure this perfume is! It lasts forever on the skin. It’s a bit strong at first, but over time, that exquisite black raspberry scent really shines through. I love it. The value for money is top-notch because it’s cheap and lasts for hours. Kudos to Avon for this one; I loved it until the very end.
It projects a lot but is too strong for me. Be careful with the amount on hot days inside public transport!!!
It smells sweet, projects a lot, and intensely features blackberries and roses with a smoky touch and patchouli/amber. Very tasty and economical, a cheap version of Kenzo Amour Elixir.
Hi… I bought this perfume because I liked its composition and the references, but in the testers at magazines where you swipe your hand over the paper, it’s a sham: it gets close to the scent but disappoints a lot. I’m very regretful; I had to give it to my mom. It’s not anything cheerful; it’s heavy and dominated exclusively by blackberries. It’s intense and so sweet it makes me nauseous, even though I love sweet winter perfumes.
Hello… I bought it because I liked the composition and the references… because in magazine testers where you swipe your hand over the paper, it smells similar but falls flat compared to the real deal. I’m very regretful; I had to gift it to my mom. It’s nothing cheerful, it’s heavy and dominated by blackberries. It’s intense and so sweet it makes me nauseous… and yet, I love sweet perfumes for winter.
I was gifted it and, without testing it, I thought it was very woody, but when I used it, it had nothing to do with that. I’m 24, live in Northeast Argentina with heat and humidity; cold days are the exception. The opening is sweet, fruity, not gourmand; as it dries down, it becomes citrusy and bitter. On my skin, the sweet and floral notes don’t dominate (and that’s a relief because I hate vanilla and jasmine), I even sense a bit of masculinity in it and it doesn’t bother me. It doesn’t suffocate me; I wear it year-round but mostly at night in summer. It lasts until the next day with about 6 hours of projection. It’s very particular—not for kids, but I wouldn’t call it ladylike either; it’s funny, very subjective. Ideal for work, has a serious vibe, very balanced, a citrus-fruity scent with more power without being cloying. Great price-to-quality ratio for an Eau de Toilette.
I dissolve it in açai water and it smells the same, at least in the middle. The drink is a hit, so logically the perfume is too. It projects a lot and is awesome in winter.
It has a peculiar, sour smell, like medicine or a pharmacy, yet it smells good, like grape soap. It doesn’t fully convince me… The English reviews on Fragrantica tell the story of the Imari sisters: the obedient one is the original, the sensual one is the purple, the tender one is Fantasy, and the rebellious, promiscuous one is exactly the Elixir. It’s a must-try: Fantasy is much friendlier, but Elixir is temperamental, and I don’t recommend blind buying. The opening is uncomfortable, but the dry down is sweet and boozy, mysterious and elegant… it definitely turns heads.
Out of all the Imaris I’ve tried, this is my second favorite, right after Fantasy. It’s quite sweet and has that oriental touch I absolutely love.
I owned it and liked it, still have a bit left. It’s a very sweet, dense fruity gourmand with a very clear blackberry note. I liked it, but over time it became cloying and overpowering, so I stopped using it when it was running low. I tried it again a few weeks ago, but no: too dense, that potent sweetness overwhelms me. It’s not unpleasant, I do like it, but only for a minute, not for all day. Good longevity and sillage.
Out of all the Imaris I’ve tried, this is my second favorite, after Fantasy. It’s quite sweet and has an oriental touch that I love.
For the price, it’s an oriental bomb.
It was a blind buy and a great surprise. The opening isn’t heavy or intense; it’s very wearable from the first moment. It smells like blackberry with warm vanilla; it’s sweet but fruity, not gourmand. Even though it has amber, it doesn’t smell like a typical oriental perfume. I was craving a ripe blackberry scent, nothing like what I used in my teens. You can smell a bit of Halloween Shot at the start due to the mandarin, but then it differentiates. I prefer the intensity of this one, which is warmer. A great addition to my collection at an amazing price. Scent 7/10, Longevity 6/10, Sillage 7/10, Value 8/10, Versatility 8/10, Packaging 6/10. Would I buy it again? Yes.
Blind bought and what a surprise: it’s not heavy and blends well from the very first moment. Blackberry with warm, sweet yet fruity vanilla—not gourmand or typical oriental despite the amber. I was craving a blackberry scent without that teen vibe; this is more mature. At first, it reminds me of Halloween Shot thanks to the sparkling mandarin, but then it diverges. Halloween Shot is more intense with better projection, though I prefer the warmer intensity of Imari Elixir here. Great addition to the collection for an amazing price. Scent 7/10, Longevity 6/10, Sillage 7/10, Value 8/10, Versatility 8/10, Packaging 6/10. Would I buy again? Yes.
For the price, it’s an incredibly potent oriental bomb.
It’s so delicious! Better than the other two versions. The Natura launch, ‘Likes de Humor’, is quite similar.
Imari Elixir eau de toilette by Avon is a fragrance you feel from the very first moment: blackberries with rose and vanilla at the end. It’s elegant and pleasant to the nose, with moderate sillage and a duration of approximately 3 to 4 hours. Suitable for people 25 and older, it’s more for cold climates. A very good fragrance for events.
Avon Imari Elixir is a fragrance that from the very first moment smells of blackberry, rose, and vanilla. It’s elegant and pleasant, with a moderate sillage and lasts about 3-4 hours. Recommended for those over 25 and for cold climates. Very good for events.
So happy with this perfume that arrived yesterday! As mentioned below, blackberry, vanilla, and rose. It has a slight smoky hint. I find it somewhat mysterious and dark. I love the tart touch the blackberries give alongside the other notes. It has a sweetness very different from gourmands, which personally make me gag. I’m just starting to test it, but I think I’ll use it a lot. So far, it seems to have good longevity and sillage. At this price, I’ll definitely repurchase.
Oh my god, it’s pure sin. Smells so high-end for an Avon product. I only detected blackberry, vanilla, and rose, which is enough for me. The vanilla has a woody, smoky touch that adds a lot of elegance. I’m thinking of buying more bottles of this Avon treasure. And it’s definitely not synthetic.
I love this perfume! I’m obsessed; super sweet, seductive, and delicious. It’s discontinued in Argentina, but I found it, and the Imari line didn’t disappoint—it’s richer than the rest. Honestly, the classic one (I only have the cologne) isn’t as rich for my taste since I prefer very sweet scents, and I find it too intense (I guess it should be even sweeter). Anyway, I use it occasionally to finish it off. The others available here (Corset, Seduction, and Fantasy) are delicious; except for Seduction, which doesn’t perform well on me, lasts very little, and I wouldn’t repurchase. The others are long-lasting and accessible. Blossom, which is also available, is amazing (caramelized or honeyed apples, quite intense) and lasts, but I don’t suggest buying blindly. Back to Imari Elixir: I really get the blackberry, that slightly tart apple note, and plenty of vanilla. On my skin, the fruity notes stand out over the florals (though I did catch a hint of rose, which isn’t my favorite note, but I’m fascinated by how it works in this combination. I don’t detect the jasmine). I do sense a smoky note, perhaps slightly woody, giving it a special mature and complex touch. I can’t quite identify what it is, but I love it: it attracts me, enhances it, makes it interesting, mysterious, and sensual. It’s ideal for cold weather due to its sweetness (or on hot days at night when it cools down, I think it would work well there too). I didn’t notice it being overpowering or suffocating (I tested it during the day in the heat with just a few sprays and it was fine, though I didn’t wear much in summer). I’ll enjoy it a lot in autumn and winter. I use it without any special occasion, just because I love wearing it; I imagine this perfume for a romantic date, controlling the sprays so it’s not too much, and it would be perfect. Out of all the Imaris I’ve tried, this is my favorite, pure beauty. It inspires sensuality, femininity, attraction; it’s sophisticated and different. I highly recommend it to women who love sweet scents but are tired of classic gourmands, vanilla, or sugar (which I adore but am getting tired of and want to broaden my olfactory palette with something more complex, with a different evolution, or that doesn’t cloy so much). I recommend it to anyone looking for a distinct aroma with mystery and sensuality, more of a night scent. Although there are no age restrictions, I feel it resonates better with people 25 and up; it’s not youthful or teenage, in my opinion Imari Fantasy might be more youthful and cover a wider age range. With Imari Elixir, it’s best to test before buying blindly, as it’s not for everyone. I did buy blindly based on the notes, assuming I’d like it, and my verdict is: exquisite! I fell completely in love. I’m looking for another one to replenish when this runs out, but I can’t find it in the catalog yet, though I’m hopeful. For its price, I think it’s an Avon gem; I don’t understand why they discontinue delicious fragrances. It’s a shame. I don’t think I’d ever get tired of wearing it; it’s worth buying or at least trying.
I love it! It’s super sweet, seductive, and delicious. It’s discontinued in Argentina, but I found it, and the Imari line didn’t disappoint; this is richer than the classic. I like well-sweet scents, so the classic smells very intense and not tasty to me. I use it occasionally to finish it off. The others available here (Corset, Seduction, Fantasy) are delicious, except Seduction, which doesn’t last on my skin at all and I wouldn’t repurchase. Blossom is rich (intense caramelized apples) and lasts, but it’s not for blind buying. In this one, I really feel the blackberry, a touch of tart apple, and lots of vanilla. I don’t smell the flowers much; the fruity notes stand out, though I did catch a bit of rose that I find fascinating in combination. I don’t detect the jasmine. I do notice a smoky or woody touch that gives it a special mystery and sensuality. Ideal for cold weather or hot nights if you apply just enough to avoid being overwhelming. I’ll enjoy it a lot in autumn/winter. Perfect for a romantic date, controlling the amount. Out of all the Imaris I’ve tried, this is my favorite, pure beauty. It inspires sensuality, femininity, and sophistication. I recommend it to anyone wanting something different from classic gourmands, with evolution and mystery. It can be worn by any age, but I think it suits women 25 and up better. It’s not as youthful as Fantasy. Although I didn’t do it, I made a blind buy based on the notes and fell in love. I’m looking for another to replace it because it’s no longer in the catalog. At its price, it’s an Avon jewel. What a shame they discontinue fragrances like this. I wouldn’t get tired of wearing it; it’s worth trying.
Opens fresh with an apple scent, then dries down to blackberry, vanilla, and a touch of jasmine with patchouli. The smell is sweet but not heavy, with a vintage vibe yet still elegant and sophisticated. Good quality; reminds me of one of JPG’s fragrances…
Imari Elixir EDT: the opening is a bit tricky for me; I detect a woody, smoky (almost burnt) nuance very typical of masculine scents, but as it dries down, it becomes more powdery, vanilla-like, and elegant—a classic style, fruity but neither fresh nor sweet. It has great presence; in my opinion, it’s masculine at first and unisex as it settles. Very potent but not overwhelming. If you like it, it works for any season with good longevity and moderate sillage. I consider it formal and sophisticated at a great price, but I don’t recommend buying blindly. Ideal for classic lovers who want extra sillage.
A little gem from Avon at an incredible price! At first, it seemed very powdery and dense, but after giving it another chance, I love it and don’t want it to run out. It’s delicious; you can definitely taste the raspberry, vanilla, and a nice spicy kick. It has excellent longevity and sillage. Perfect for winter.
From the same creator of Tom Ford’s masterpieces, here we have Imari Elixir…
Too powdery, nothing fruity at all, just dense. I use it occasionally because it gives me headaches.
