Descripción
Emblem by Montblanc is a spicy aromatic fragrance for men. Launched in 2014, this composition was created by Sonia Constant and Olivier Pescheux. The top notes unfold freshness with helichrysum, grapefruit, and cardamom; the heart reveals violet leaves and cinnamon; while the base settles on tonka bean and woody notes.

I like it; it makes you want to have a boyfriend with this scent. It’s a young masculine fragrance, nothing like a grandfather. It lasts quite a while.
Emblem smells rich; it starts very sweet and spicy but becomes soft and even fresh over time. The violet leaves are the most distinctive notes, bringing vague memories of Fahrenheit and Aqua Fahrenheit. As it dries, the woods become noticeable while maintaining a soft sweetness. Overall, it’s aromatic and herbal, but very soft and lacks personality because it reminds me of several fragrances. The scent is pleasant and sensual, though not memorable and easy to confuse. Longevity was medium-low, barely reaching 6 hours, and projection is low except for the first 15 minutes. Great for casual wear and very versatile.
I don’t like it; it’s sweet and generic. Now I hate it because when I opened my L’Homme by Yves Saint Laurent this morning, I immediately remembered this emblem. Hopefully, it passes soon.
I was gifted a sample and tested it after prolonged use. The opening is sweet, pleasant, and herbaceous with a citrusy grapefruit touch. Cardamomo dominates, and the clary sage, a spicy herb, is noticeable and I like it. A liquorish, fruity, sweet, and spicy ensemble emerges. Violet appears in the middle, accentuating an intense floral structure with cinnamon and cardamomo. The dry down, perhaps a weak point, fades into soft woods. I’ll save the pleasant, versatile, harmonious, youthful, and subtle aspects, far from the roughness of One Million or the overmassaged Vip. That makes it interesting; few use it and it’s very pleasant. The negatives are weak projection and longevity. Overall, approved with a good grade.
It’s a generic fragrance that repeats itself across other lines with similar components. It’s not bad, but if you like perfumes, choose something less mass-market. It has similarities to C.H. Formen by C. Herrera, though softer with low sillage. It’s not on my list. Someone said it reminds them of Davidoff Cool Water Night; whoever said that must be sick, it’s nowhere near.
It’s strange that brands selling extreme exclusivity later have perfumes imitating One Million. This one performs well, but that stale, gummy cinnamon scent doesn’t work for me. The violet is noticeable but drops significantly in volume. It’s a fair price for its fans, but it offers me nothing.
Cloying. It starts with something that freezes my nose and turns into a mix of sweet dessert, Vicks VapoRub, and watermelon bubblegum. At some point, it reminds me of a Joop! but more unhinged and nonsensical.
It’s the ‘One Million’ version of Invictus: gallons of ambroxan and the sensation of pouring watermelon juice all over yourself. You only catch something elegant and woody from the violet and sage leaf at the very beginning, creating an illusion of wet birch, but it quickly turns into another nasty clone smelling of sugary water. I get angry when they gift it to me, though it’s not a drama because Montblanc has never been refined.
If you’re looking for a decently priced nocturnal scent from Montblanc, this is a reasonable option, though it doesn’t last long. Cheers.
I like the scent it leaves on my husband’s skin, it seems sensual. Sillage and longevity are moderate. The packaging is very beautiful.
Bought it blindly and it was a mistake. It smelled repulsive when I tried it, and even after all this time, I still don’t like it. It smells like One Million with violet, which makes it unpleasant. Everyone I’ve let wear it made a face of disgust. Period.
Those who say it smells like ambroxan, sweet and horrible like One Million are confused about the perfume. This is the most ignored and undervalued fragrance from Montblanc, but the truth is exquisite. The opening is very pleasant with cardamom and spices, and its second facet is an elegant, talcum-powdered perfume, and I mean an elegant masculine talcum-powdered scent. Normal performance of 4 to 5 hours of projection depending on the skin. Good quality and cheap, definitely worth it.
This is by far… the only bad thing (very bad) about Montblanc… just smelling it was incredibly unpleasant and even repulsive to me (they were selling it as one of the store’s best back in 2015 if I remember correctly). For me, it’s unisex, leaning feminine (I don’t know who said this was for men), but a feminine scent that abuses sweetness and synthetics, absolutely nothing like 212 VIP. I see it for very young people who like partying… someone older or with better taste will consider this a joke of very bad taste.
@byrgertidesson AMEN. Plus, it smells like any air freshener from Abercrombie & Fitch or Hollister stores. Thousands of fragrances have followed this absurd trend for years to claim they smell ‘masculine’ or ‘pleasantly spiced.’ Please admit that while I used to like it, once you know more Montblanc proposals, recent ones seem lacking in quality. Starwalker or Individuel have more charm than this.
Bought it blind, smells good but doesn’t last almost at all. That’s why I think it’s not worth it.
One day I was with my girlfriend testing fragrances, and when she smelled this, she said: ‘I LOVE THIS!’ and of course, she bought it. This Montblanc Emblem EDT is SEXY; women love this type of aroma in a man. It reminds me a lot of YSL La Nuit de L’Homme EDT. Totally worth the price. Longevity and sillage are moderate; it’s for close-range wear, being near people, ideal for romantic dates, the office, or the bank, etc. SALUT!
I had a bottle and never bought it again. If it’s for men, it smells good, but the scent is a bit generic, like a magazine perfume; it doesn’t stand out without being bad. Performance is average for Montblanc: little sillage, little projection, short longevity, stays very close to the skin quickly. I’d advise buying it only if you’ve tried many other options and want to experiment with something different.
Nothing new, but it makes a spectacular impression. After all, it was created by a perfumer thinking about how a sexy man should smell to a woman. It smells clean, like a men’s shampoo. I love scents that evoke cleanliness with a touch of boldness, sweetness without being cloying, masculine yet wearable by girls… Highly recommended.
Bought it blind and it smells nice, but that’s all. It lasts barely any time on me, so I wouldn’t recommend it.
Smells great, very sweet (reminds me of Al Haramain Amber Oud GE when dry), but the downside is it fades way too quickly. What a pity.
I remember thinking it was too strong at first, but I couldn’t stop thinking about it. When I gave it a second chance, I loved it, and it’s one of my most-used scents. When I first put it on, it smells like something indescribable—I imagine what people mean by ‘ozone,’ very pleasant. As it dries down, it smells like subtle cinnamon with discreet woody notes. It lasts over 8 hours on my skin; I can even smell it on my clothes late at night. Around the sixth or seventh hour, a coworker asked what I was wearing because it reached him from over a meter away, which surprised me. Some women don’t like it. It has excellent value; I found it for $850 MXN for 100ml. The presentation is striking, but the cap is fragile. I give it 10/10 for scent, longevity, and projection. It deserves a try before judging; it can be a pleasant surprise like mine, and I haven’t found anything similar. I’ll definitely buy it again when I run out.
Quick update: I stopped wearing it for a while for reasons I can’t quite explain; I had other options. One day I decided to try it again and changed my mind. I’ve been getting compliments from friends and strangers asking for the name. It’s not the most long-lasting, but it has a nice trail in the first few hours. I wouldn’t recommend it if you’re looking for a signature scent, but go for it if you want something different that gets you compliments and you don’t have anything else to wear.
In short, it’s a night fragrance. It lasts about 5 hours and is perfect for family events or dinner out, nothing too formal. Rating it 9/10 for price, scent, and longevity.
Very subtle, but a well-maned fresh scent with decent longevity. The main note is the best part: it smells like ice-cold tonic water with lots of bubbles. It leaves that bitter aftertaste that’s a bit disorienting but gives it a masculine, dark edge. It’s a winner, though the INTENSE version loses that subtlety that makes it charming. Perfect to wear with a black t-shirt, maybe by Black Sabbath or Megadeth.
I just bought it and it reminds me of The Icon by Antonio Banderas, but softer and warmer. I’m not sure which came first, but I think they’re on the same line thanks to the grapefruit and cinnamon.
The subtle Montblanc Emblem stays true to the brand: discreet, distinguished, and elegant, though perhaps too subtle. It smells good, but nothing really stands out; it’s elegant and huggable, yet it lasts barely a breath with minimal sillage. Maybe it shows up on some skin types, it’s pretty but not memorable. It’s fine for personal use—the bottle is gorgeous and creative—but I wouldn’t buy it again. The price is great, but there are more potent options in that range.
Rich and delicious. I gifted it to my dad for his birthday and he loved it, and so do I.
Cool.
This is a straight copy of Roberto Cavalli Uomo; side by side, you can’t tell the difference at all.
I wish I had this lotion more often. As a woman, I love wearing it occasionally because it drives me wild. It’s seductive, tough, and mysterious—something truly out of the ordinary. It’s not for everyone, but for me, it was love at first sight.
Delicious, sexy fragrance, masculine, fresh, and with a very soft warmth that I would have no problem wearing as a signature scent.
It’s rich just like me; I like the cinnamon.
Commercial, tasty, suitable for all men and ages, like a CH Men but without the soft leather that reminds me of sweet tobacco. In the case of Mont Blanc, it’s more cinnamon, violet, and sandalwood, bringing it a bit closer to the bestseller YSL La Nuit de L’Homme EDT. To me, in today’s 2024 market, it feels like a somewhat generic, overheard scent. The bottle design is beautiful, very in line with Montblanc’s elegant style (feathers, luxury pens). Longevity and projection are typical of the house, quite moderate leaning towards weak. Fair price. Nowadays it’s hard to find in major department stores; if you search, especially online, you can find it. You don’t pay a fortune for this; anything over 60 euros for 100ml is getting expensive.
No complaints about this perfume; I used it years ago and it worked great for me. Good longevity, elegant, and casual. Fragrance with a great aroma and lasting power.
If you give it a different vibe, use it as an alternative from the line. It brings back lovely and bitter memories (it smells like last winter to me) and became my favorite for that creamy floral sweet cinnamon with a grapefruit top note. My acquaintances described the dry down as chocolatey, like Emblem, not Bad Boy. The peculiar thing is it adapts to the environment: try not to wear it where it might smell bad, because even if others don’t notice, when you walk by, the scents mix. It wasn’t very long-lasting, but the sillage was decent; people right next to you will definitely smell it. I recommend spraying it on the head, neck, shoulders, collarbones, and ears.
This Mont Blanc has a well-controlled citrus touch with a sweetness that accompanies it. It’s a rich, distinctive aroma that doesn’t feel similar to anything else. I liked it when I tried it in the store and bought it, but in daily life, I find it very weak and short-lived, so I’d use it for something specific and reapply. Mont Blanc has distinctive fragrances, but they don’t last long. It’s rich, for real, but simply doesn’t last.
Could be considered a ‘blue’ fragrance due to its great versatility, ideal as a signature scent. Citrus, spicy, and slightly sweet notes stand out. It’s moderate in longevity and projection, but attracts compliments for its pleasant aroma, even if it’s not innovative. That said, it is quite linear.
This was my signature scent and I’ve brought it back. I find it versatile: a citrus opening that’s slightly sweet, leading into a cinnamon note I love, creating a warm and subtle perfume without being cloying or intrusive. Lasts 5 to 6 hours with moderate sillage. The scent feels generic, but it works.
Nice fragrance, citrusy with sweet and spicy notes. Ideal for spring or autumn; I don’t see it working for extreme heat or cold. It’s good for day and night. Lasts about 5 hours, fading to a personal bubble; projects well for the first hour then drops off.
Very rich fragrance, but with weak sillage and only lasts about two hours on skin. To improve performance, I recommend around 15 sprays on skin and clothes. I use it for the gym and it works well because it’s not cloying and lasts just long enough for the workout. The performance is really what leaves much to be desired.
