Emblem Absolu is woody, fruity, and spicy. The opening is very pleasant, sweet, and fruity, though the spicy notes soon emerge. It bears a huge resemblance to Hugo Boss Bottled; it uses pear instead of apple, but the dry-down is very similar, likely containing vanilla and cinnamon. Good longevity, over 8 hours on my skin. Ideal for cooler seasons, as the spicy notes can be heavy in heat. It’s pleasant and not intrusive, good for the office or dates. The downside is its huge similarity to Hugo Boss, which is already identifiable, so it lacks personality.
Just like the regular Hugo Boss Bottled, nothing new, but a very good alternative at a fair price.
The opening isn’t very potent and fruity, but after 5 minutes it radically shifts to woody and spicy. Same projection and sillage as Hugo Boss Bottled, with equally weak longevity, lasting about 4-6 hours. If it’s about price, I’ll stick with Montblanc, though the difference isn’t much anymore.
Does anyone else smell the vetiver they claim it has? Haha, good joke from Montblanc. Better not put it in the notes. Smells like sugar, little wood, some florals, and a lot of colors…
Subtle. Emblem Absolu starts potent, sweet, and fruity, but quickly becomes almost invisible. Easy to reapply; you can still detect the fruits, lavender, and patchouli. It promises a lot but delivers poor performance, typical of Montblanc. Worth it only for the price; there are better alternatives, and it’s very similar to CK One Gold. Would I buy it again? No. It’s pretty but lacks power.
Moderate projection and longevity. It comes out strong but quickly fades to skin-level scent. I like it, but if I have a choice, I wouldn’t pick it.
