Eclat de Fleurs by Lanvin

Another blind buy with Anne Flipo, my go-to perfumer. I snagged it at a steal. At first, it smelled too musky and didn’t convince me, so I was a bit disappointed. But today, with a spring day and three months later, it smells totally different: more balanced, lasts longer, and projects amazingly. I know it well; it’s very similar to Chance Eau Tendre, but I prefer this Lanvin for the price and what it offers. Anne Flipo never lets me down.

It smells super delicious. It’s a soft, sweet, fresh, and charming fragrance… pity that its longevity is short. A trick that works (it works for many short-lasting perfumes) is to put it on your hair; on the skin, it doesn’t last long. One day I put it in my hair, and the next day it still smelled delicious.

A feminine, sparkling, fresh, citrusy scent with a sweet, musky touch and hints of wood. It’s soft; the trail lasts about two hours before fading to a close skin scent. It’s one of those fragrances I use on nice days to enjoy sunny weather. It’s quite affordable here, so I apply it generously knowing it doesn’t last long. It’s similar to Eau Tendre, but not the same; it’s a brutal alternative. I love it!

Bought it because reviews said it smells like Chance Eau Tendre, and yes, it does resemble it a lot, but it lasts almost nothing. Such a shame.

I agree with most reviews, even regarding the similarity to Eau Tendre, except that after four or five hours, it only smells of freesia, which I personally don’t like.

Okay, I’m here to recommend the opposite of what some reviews say. If you’re thinking of buying it because of its resemblance to Eau Tendre, I do recommend it. I don’t have Tendre right now, but I owned it years ago and they are similar. If I were asked what it smells like and said Chanel, I wouldn’t hesitate. Over time, they surely have their differences, but broadly speaking, they’re almost the same aroma. This one is perhaps more floral, while the other is fruitier, but they pass each other off. Just to clarify, I haven’t had Tendre in years, but when I smelled this, my first thought was ‘they really do resemble each other.’ I should wait and test it more, but I’d say the longevity and sillage are more than acceptable for this type of fragrance; I remember criticizing this with the Chanel one, but obviously, it’s not the same as paying 90 euros and seeing it underperform versus paying 30 and getting what you expect. I’ve worn it for about three hours now and I can still smell it. Very happy with it.

Bought it based on the reviews and I have to say, I love it even more once it dries down. When it settles, the flowers come alive and smell super personal, like you can imagine the personality of the person wearing it. It’s a mix of florals, clean laundry, cotton, and soft talc. The longevity on my skin is good, and it was a great purchase—I’m happy with it.

Exquisite. I loved a fresh, fruity, feminine, clean, and delicate scent. I couldn’t ask for more. I was surprised by the Lanvin house; it’s undervalued and has amazing perfumes. The bottle is a work of art.

If you’re planning to buy this thinking it’s a dupe for Chanel’s Eau Tendre, be careful. I own both, and the difference is clear: Lanvin smells like pear, while Chanel smells like quince. The EDT is rich on its own, with a juicy pear accord that feels almost edible. Then the flowers emerge over a powdery base and settle there. It evolves from that sparkling fruity opening into powdery florals, losing a bit of that initial freshness, but it remains very pleasant and doesn’t sound childish. On my skin, which is pale and dry, it has poor longevity and projection, so it’s more of a personal delight, evaporating after about four hours. It lasts longer on clothes. If you buy this expecting the Chanel experience, you’ll still be left wondering. They might be from the same family, but they’re not the same scent. Eau Tendre remains my favorite for that sparkling quince note and the dry-down.

Very delicious and, by god, what longevity. I applied it yesterday morning and I can still smell it on my pillowcase, in my hair, and especially on my clothes today. Even though it’s winter and cool, it lasts a ton.

I was looking for reviews of the Chanel Eau Tendre and came across this perfume. I couldn’t resist buying it without even smelling it. When it arrived, the clear box was a gem, just like the bottle. My surprise upon smelling it: a wonder! An exquisite, uncommon scent of clean flowers with a very subtle musk touch. I’ve been wearing it for two hours and I can still smell it on myself. So happy!

Another Lanvin gem. After the excellent experience with Eclat d’Arpège, you can appreciate this fragrance. The opening is a bit sweeter and fruitier, probably due to the pear, but the soul is the florals: jasmine and freesia. Between one and two hours, it smells just like Eclat d’Arpège; the floral notes take over. It’s very harmonious, non-invasive, with lower projection and longevity than its older sibling, but appreciating it is a pleasure. Very similar to Chanel Chance Eau Tendre, but this one lacks the notorious quince note found in Chanel. I’d give it 9 for scent, 7 for longevity, 7 for projection, 8 for versatility, and 9 for price. It’s one of the few fragrances worth buying blind, unless the wearer prefers something very sweet, herbal, or woody. Anyway, it adds elegance and style to any woman.

I used it last summer on a trip and only received compliments. It’s a wonder: fresh and floral. I save it for summer because, in my opinion, it’s not too intense. I compared it to Chanel’s Eau Tendre, and while the Chanel lasted longer, I absolutely loved this Lanvin. Highly recommended.

It’s a floral and youthful fragrance, perfect as a gift if you don’t know someone’s taste very well.

It’s exactly like the Chance Eau Tendre. It has excellent longevity, even better than the original. I’ll switch to this Lanvin because it’s more economical and has a stunning presentation.
