My experience was lamentable. I’ve wanted it for a long time; we know the cost is high, but I didn’t like it. It didn’t feel fresh to me; it was too acidic. Before the bitterness of the lemon peel, you sense a delicate, crystal-clear sweetness that’s fleeting. It’s an acid that reminds me of a wild lemon. When the spray is in the air, it’s a lovely floral caress, but it lasts a blink and you can’t smell it again. In the dry-down, there’s a very light sweet touch, but no sillage; you have to get close to the skin or clothes to smell it (a few centimeters away). For the price, I regret that no one can smell it; it’s very silent; when you move, there’s no trail, nothing, just a memory and sometimes a lemon. A lemon soap would have sufficed for that. I thought that being Chanel, it would be impressive, but it competes with imitations and could even lose. I wouldn’t recommend it. Especially because, regardless of taste, the performance is a scam. The EDT smells more feminine but lasted even less in the store than the EDP I chose. To clarify: the EDT smells more floral, innocent, feminine, and tender, but it doesn’t last at all. The EDP smells to me like bitter, sharp wild lemon peel oil, with more character; in the dry-down, it leaves a citrus-floral aroma, with the citrus and musk predominating, it lasts longer, but it doesn’t smell like the EDT. I wouldn’t recommend it.

This perfume has been my younger sister’s signature scent for three years. I really like it: it’s fresh, floral-citrusy (I notice the flowers a lot), and great for daytime wear. I won’t ever wear it because that tradition is ours, but I undoubtedly like it.

  • I wanted to try it because it was talked about a lot. Several reviews said its clone was Zara’s Applejuice and Marc Jacobs’ Daisy. Since it was within reach, I bought the Zara one and found it pleasant, but I expected Chanel to be better. Now I’ve compared all three, and honestly, Applejuice is identical; it just has more alcohol in the opening, but then it smells the same. That disappointed me; after so many wonderful reviews about Chance Eau Tendre, I thought it would be more impactful. Daisy doesn’t resemble it at all; I don’t know why it’s flagged as a clone; its scent is different, more floral and sweet.

My go-to perfume, the one that never fails when I don’t know what to wear. It’s fresh, versatile, and elegant. On my skin, it has good longevity and moderate sillage. It’s a must-have in my collection; I love it.

  • I bought it blind because I adore several Chanel fragrances, but it didn’t meet my expectations; it’s way below what you’d expect from a Chanel EDP. It’s pleasant but very soft, ideal for daily wear, sunny days, and casual events. There’s an opening where I notice more rose with quince, a delicate dry-down that’s musky. It lasts more than 7 hours on skin, but the sillage is almost imperceptible by the third hour. I won’t buy it again and I don’t get the hype. The Chance yellow EDP and EDT, and other Chancels, have better scent and longevity.

  • A cousin gave it to me after I accidentally bought it; I wanted the EDT because reviews said it was rich and long-lasting. But this EDP version is terrible: on my skin, it just smells like strong musk, it’s very intense at first and gives me a headache. It doesn’t last at all, max 4 hours. The worst part is it’s very expensive and not worth it. A total disappointment. If the EDP smells and lasts like this, I can’t even imagine the EDT. I’m very let down.

It’s pleasant, but I prefer the EDT in terms of scent. Here, I detect more of the quince acid note than in the EDT. It doesn’t convince me.

  • I simply love it. It smells clean, very feminine, fresh, and floral. At first, it’s a bit dense, but it softens, and you only notice it if you get close. It’s not cloying. It lasts longer on clothes; on my skin, about 5 hours before fading to skin scent. It gets lots of compliments. Maybe it’s not quite for night out unless you apply more… I love it.

It’s super feminine, fresh, and floral. You feel freshly showered when you wear it. I started with it as a gift. Would I recommend it? At that price, there are better, more impactful, and personality-driven options. It’s a safe purchase, though. If you’re thinking of buying blind, go for it; you’ll like it.

  • I prefer the EDT; it’s brighter and more youthful. This version, while similar, is resinous. It’s still adorable, just less innocent than the original. The longevity is moderate to low; the jasmine notes are intense and green, with a fruity touch that evaporates quickly, revealing a velvet musk underneath. If both lasted longer, they’d be my favorite Chance scents. I love the slogan ‘Choose your chance’.

  • Buy blind with confidence. This perfume is exquisite: elegantly and sophisticated, classy but super youthful. It’s a youthful adult woman because it inspires the perfect balance between experience and youth. Ideal for offices and work environments because it’s not overwhelming or suffocating. You can smell it without causing dizziness or headaches. It brings joy, energy, freshness, and femininity. Perfect for spring, summer, and first dates. For confident women who don’t seek to attract others desperately. This perfume doesn’t shout because it doesn’t need to; it shines with its own luminosity. It smells sweet but clean, like a clean woman with delicious skin. Good notable longevity (EDP) and just right sillage. It’s felt without invading or bothering. It’s very well balanced; although it’s sweet, its sweetness is grounded by the other notes, making it delicate. It’s my favorite ‘mood booster’.

  • Clean, very feminine, long-lasting, versatile, and crystal clear. A sure hit for self-gifting in women 27 and up.

  • francia baez

It’s a very imposing perfume, but for my taste, it smells very strong and tends to give me a headache. I live in a tropical country so I can tolerate it; I must wear it only on cold days, especially in autumn when the temperature is fresher.

  • I already had this fragrance in its 2018 version and wanted to restock it to feel like before (10/2022). I got the 75 ml EDP. I like it, except for its acidity; is it my pH? I don’t know, it becomes very acidic, but I love it. I’m sorry I don’t feel it much and have to reapply sometimes, but overall it’s great to enjoy in summer, at work, or at events. Very rich and special. The quince and grapefruit stand out in their full evolution, becoming quite acidic but with an incredibly rich freshness.

  • tantita_tania

I love it; I bought it looking for something more mature, but I was a bit disappointed by the sillage and longevity.

  • Lovely, fresh, and subtle for everyday wear, but it has terrible performance: it doesn’t last even an hour and has no sillage.

  • Ojos Claros

Notes of jasmine, musk, vanilla, roses with quince, bergamot, lemon, and pear. Intense, long-lasting, feminine, and cheerful fragrance. It’s too vibrant for my taste; I prefer perfumes that relax and embrace. I tried Zara’s Applejuice first and it didn’t excite me. Chanel is Chanel: although this isn’t my style, I recognize it has excellent quality, sillage, and longevity. It’s a very durable, cheerful feminine scent.

  • What a beautiful perfume, very feminine and delicate! I love wearing it. It lasts about 5 hours. The budget dupe is Eclat de fleurs by Lanvin.

  • KarlitaChanPachuli

I like it, but I don’t love it. On my skin, it highlights a penetrating and sharp musk with a slightly sweet base. I really hoped I’d like it, but it wasn’t the case. Unlike the EDT, this lasts longer, but it doesn’t wrap me in that tender and fresh aura. Good longevity, about 5 hours, but with low sillage on my skin.

  • Love at first sniff! It adds a fresh, feminine, fun, and chic touch to whoever wears it. It’s not for little girls or teenagers, nor for older ladies (you know when you reach that stage). The ingredients are top quality, but unfortunately, the longevity and sillage are weak; it should project more for the price. Although being fresh is normal, that spark between grapefruit and quince makes it stimulating. It reminds me of an active woman, carelessly sexy, and very chic. I love it!

  • Girls, I don’t know what’s going on, but it happens with several of them already. Even if they’re fresh, they smell super classic to me, and I’m incapable of wearing them RIP.

  • I put it on when I want to be happy. It’s my favorite fragrance. Fresh, slightly sweet without being annoying. Excellent for summer and spring. Good longevity.

  • Please don’t hate me, but what I’m about to say is my personal perception, based on my pH and my sense of smell… It’s a nice perfume, but that’s it. It’s good for coming out of the shower and smelling clean on a random day, but it doesn’t convey more to me. I sense much more personality in the classic EDT from the same Chance line. I tried a thousand times to fall in love with it, given the hype it always has… but MEEEH… I wear it because it’s a gift, but I wouldn’t buy it myself.

  • This perfume has it all. It’s one I want to always have: cheerful, sparkling, and jovial. Sweet, citrusy, and clean in a bottle. I don’t find many Chanel scents that I love, maybe that will change someday. I don’t like the CCM enough to buy it, and the classic Chance is on my list but makes me hesitate; this one, however, doesn’t kill me—it made me buy it the moment I heard it. It’s a summer bomb. I don’t know if others perceive it, but I feel it all day from morning till night, and it lingers on clothes for days. I feel it on my skin all day too. The only pain is the price; if I could, I’d wear it every hot day.

  • I only have a decant and honestly, I love it. Yes, it’s classic—a fresh, sweet floral that’s very clean and feminine; it’s not an out-of-this-world scent, but you can tell the quality is there. Very versatile and ideal for hot days, it’s definitely one of the most feminine and polished scents out there, with that quince note that gives it a distinctive fruity sweetness. On my skin, it has moderate (but noticeable) sillage and lasts 5 hours. It’s on my wishlist, though I do feel the price is high, especially regarding longevity… Edit 8 months later: I finally have it in my collection, and I love it. It’s so delicate and beautiful, a pleasure to wear. It brings quiet luxury, and I’ll keep it forever (though honestly, I don’t think it’s worth the price, but its scent is so precious that in my case, I decide to pay for it).

I just want to share my personal experience with this Chance Eau Tendre. I used it years ago, bought it again a couple of months back, and it’s exquisite, feminine, and delicate; it brought back great memories. It works great at the office; one or two sprays got two colleagues complimenting me. I also see it as appropriate for night, though I find it a bit invasive, very sweet with a sharp but pleasant sweetness, so I apply it sparingly. On hot days, it gives me a slight headache, but it’s exquisite. It’s fresh, floral, and fruity; when it dries down, it feels like soap and clean freshness. It lasts long on clothes and reasonably on skin with moderate sillage. The only downside is the price. I recommend it; I don’t like to segment who it’s for—let anyone who can afford it use it.

  • marisley_si

I fell in love with the bottle and the good reviews, so I went for it blind, haha. I’m not sure if I fully like it, but it is true that on my skin it smells like shower gel—soapy with a light touch of fresh rose, nothing sweet. It lasts about 7 hours with moderate sillage at first and soft trail at the end; maybe it lasts better in winter since I’ve heard others find it very short-lived.

  • MJ_perfumes

It was a special gift over a year ago. I loved its delicate and elegant scent, but it lasted so little. I was disappointed that a Chanel could perform so poorly, so I let it sit while I used stronger fragrances. Yesterday, however, I decided to give it another shot—surprise! The longevity was much better: I could smell it with every movement, intensively for 5 or 6 hours, compared to the 1 or 2 hours before. It seems the theory about letting perfumes macerate is true.

  • Daniela constanza

I was genuinely surprised that it doesn’t last on others. My skin usually kills normal EDPs after just 3 hours, but this Chance (both versions) sticks around for hours. It lacks a bit of sparkle and isn’t my absolute favorite, but I love how clean and feminine it is. The EDP feels heavier than the EDT, maybe not ideal for summer. It opens with a strong rose scent before settling into white flowers with that creamy, body lotion vibe that lasts all day. It’s a nice, classic, feminine aroma. I wear it daily at the office and for going out; I recommend it for women 28+.

  • It smells like plastic doll to me; I couldn’t stand the scent and intensity, and my husband almost got provoked by it

  • Today, while wearing this perfume, I was surprised by the comments. I’m not sure if we’re talking about the same thing, but reading that it’s very sweet and heavy confused me. I live in a humid tropical climate where the heat sometimes overwhelms above 40 degrees, and this perfume isn’t getting compliments for being too subtle. However, I find it comfortable, smelling of flowers, citrus, and very clean all day long, and it lingers on clothes. I’m usually a fan of sweet perfumes, but this one and Bright Crystal save me in the heat. I suggest testing it on skin to be sure if it’s for you

  • BeatrizBlackwood

Perfect for anyone living in temperatures near 50 degrees. Although it’s playful, it’s incredibly elegant; people always compliment it, and in my climate, it has phenomenal projection. It’s one of my favorite Chanaels that I always restock

  • Well, I’ve wanted this fragrance for a while, but it’s very expensive in my country. A few days ago I managed to buy it blind, and oh my god, what a divine, exquisite, and refined scent. I’m completely in love with this aroma

  • macsssarchivee

A soft, clean, fresh, and feminine aroma. I tested the EDT for months and believe investing in the EDP is totally worth it. It’s youthful and light; personally, perfumes don’t last long, but Chance seems to linger even when I’m not wearing it. Highly recommended, though I suggest trying it first. It’s quite special but not hard to like

  • A classy, fresh, floral, and fruity scent that feels ageless and timeless, balanced and clean—perfect for warm climates. If you want a 24-hour Chanel with a vanilla base, go for Coco Mademoiselle. If you’re looking for something versatile, youthful, and carefree, go ahead. If price is a concern, it’s not for you. You need to appreciate elegance to truly enjoy it. It’s the same with other fleeting but delightful fragrances like Hermes’ Sur un air de Nilo or Loewe’s Mar de Coral. For me, the perfect version would be this Tendre with the performance of Coco, but that’s not possible. The chemistry of fresh scents just doesn’t work that way

  • Chance Eau Tendre is pleasant and youthful; it’s very similar to Marc Jacobs Daisy, though the notes are different. I tried the EDT and didn’t like it, but with the EDP I found what I was looking for: it’s charming, attractive, and delightful. I wish it lasted longer on me; it starts with a citrus blend of quince and grapefruit, then fades to a sweet, musky floral that lasts only 2-3 hours. I see it as a personal treat that doesn’t reach others; I’ve never received compliments. It’s a true guilty pleasure given the short longevity and price. I won’t be buying it again; it seems overpriced. I’ll buy Daisy as soon as this runs out

  • lizzystm1

Smells absolutely delicious and I’ve gotten compliments, but I have to apply a lot for it to be noticeable
