Today I went to the perfumerie to buy a Daisy. I was dying to get one, not because of the cute bottles, but because my city is at 40 degrees with a heat index of 43, and seriously, I need refreshing perfumes; I couldn’t stand wearing anything else right now. Among the Marc Jacobs options, Daisy Daze and Shine didn’t appeal to me; this time, this one and the Eau So Fresh (which I might return to) in their original versions were my favorites. After buying it, I went home, took a refreshing shower, and put it on for a small gathering. Honestly, I didn’t get more than a few compliments from my family in the car and a friend who hugged me, and the truth is, I didn’t need them because what I felt for personal enjoyment was enough. The scent is quite floral; I mainly smell the violet, gardenia, and jasmine; as time passes, the vanilla and musk start to emerge. The dry-down is generic, but rich and pleasant, keeping me very relaxed. It lasts about 5 hours on my skin, and the trail is skin-scent only. Pros: you could spray 10 times without getting dizzy or feeling suffocated, it’s ideal for hot climates, as a personal enjoyment scent it’s wonderful because it keeps you happy and relaxed, and it’s super versatile. Cons: low longevity, weak trail, and for the price, you could buy another with better performance. If you like soft scents, go ahead. Finally, a bonus: if you like Chanel Chance Eau Tendre EDT, this is similar with slight differences (I like Eau Tendre more); Chanel lasts twice as long on my skin and has a wider trail, but yes, it’s more expensive. Overall rating 8/10.
It’s very delicious; I tried it because they say it’s similar to Chanel Chance Eau Tendre, but I don’t find the similarity. This Daisy is more floral; I can really feel the violets, and it comes across as sweeter. I’m not sure if it’s too youthful, but it is definitely feminine. It leaves a very soft and delicate scent on the skin, but it doesn’t last long.
A perfect perfume. I’ve already decided to keep it as my signature. I’ve fallen in love with it exactly as it is. I like it much more than Chanel Chance, and on top of that, it fits my budget better. Very, very rich, refined, and elegant. A fragrance that’s not intrusive but addictive.
I wore Daisy for the first time yesterday and went to the mall. Honestly, 9 people asked me what I was wearing. In the elevator, in 3 stores, in the salon, and even the guy at the checkout counter. Ladies, if you want to captivate, this is the ideal option. It’s a spectacular and powerful fragrance. People who don’t even know you will ask what you’re wearing. 10/10.
I loved Daisy; it’s a delicious, fresh floral, but its performance leaves a lot to be desired.
A very comfortable fragrance, with floral sweetness just right. It stays close to the skin (you won’t kill anyone with this, even if you overapply). It claims to have aquatic accords, but they are very soft, fortunately, because I hate aquatic fragrances. The longevity is very low; after 3 hours, it’s already skin-scent only.
It’s very feminine, floral, and has a sweet touch. It’s gorgeous. It’s a showstopper for spring-summer and has good longevity on my skin. The trail is soft to moderate.
For my birthday, I wanted something different; honestly, they had just launched it and I was drawn to the floral packaging, which was the reason for the purchase. But after wearing it, I consider that I had way too many expectations for this fragrance 🙁
It’s a beautiful perfume. Very fresh, floral, feminine, and perfect for spring-summer. I really like the scent, but I feel its trail and performance are quite poor. In the opening, you can clearly smell the grapefruit, violet leaves, and strawberries. It slowly develops until you notice the flowers. It’s not a new scent, but it’s pretty. The longevity is at most 4 to 6 hours. But since it’s an EDT, I wasn’t expecting much more.
Daisy is a classy, elegant fragrance that’s anything but intrusive. It opens with a luminous, slightly fresh vibe thanks to the grapefruit and violet leaves, giving a subtle green note—not that typical grassy smell. The strawberry note isn’t what you’d expect, not even in your wildest imagination; it’s more like the tart side of the fruit rather than burnt strawberry, which lets the fresh freesia floral notes really shine. It features a lovely bouquet of bright white flowers, like gardenias, sitting on a backdrop of musk, woods, and an ultra-subtle vanilla that keeps it from being overwhelming.
A few months ago I went to buy creams and took the opportunity to sniff perfumes. One was Nina Ricci Luna and it did nothing for me, but this one I couldn’t stop smelling until it ran out, so I skipped the skin test and ordered it straight for my birthday (not very subtle). Since they gifted it to me three weeks ago, I haven’t worn any other perfume besides Alien when going out. It pairs well with heat, 30 degrees and up, without being intrusive. The most important thing is that it’s a gem; every time I wear it, I’m overwhelmed with happiness and my mood lifts. I know it sounds cheesy, but that’s exactly how it is. I haven’t worn the same perfume for more than a week in years. It has violet, one of my favorite notes, but not that intrusive and rude violet like Lolita Lempicka’s, but rather a greener, serene, fresh, and youthful one. It’s simple, and that’s not always bad. I understand many see it as an adolescent perfume because of the packaging, but honestly, it’s simple enough to wear at any age and in any situation. The longevity is weak, but it lasts me 4 hours without issues. And when a scent is this delicious, I don’t mind reappling to feel it again.
I LOVE IT! It’s my second Marc Jacobs line perfume (waiting for the third). It lasts all day, especially on clothes. I’ve received so many compliments on the scent.
I love it! It makes me want to smell my hand all day. It works for any weather, even winter. When I put it on, I feel like a good little girl, no problems, a saint 🤣. It’s fresh but sweet, floral, and super ozonic. It lasts me about 5 hours on the skin. Tastes differ, but for me, it’s perfect ❤️.
So delicious! I don’t care that it’s an EDT; it’s a ‘mood booster’ that radiates joy and good vibes. Maximum freshness with a fresh sweetness like white grape or sweet white wine. I adore it; although it’s better for summer and spring, it doesn’t bother me in autumn or winter. It gives you energy to face the day with more joy. Since it’s an EDT, it doesn’t project much and lasts a few hours, but it feels great and worth reappling.
Beautiful fragrance, floral, and super fresh that radiates joy and calm, ideal for summer. The only downside is that it lasts very little, almost nothing; by 4 hours, I can’t even smell it on my clothes. It disappoints me because I love it and adore Morillas’ work, but for the price, it’s not worth it if it doesn’t last. Hopefully, they fix that; it would be perfect.
I love this perfume: it’s soft, pretty, and gives me peace. It’s elegant yet light, perfect for everyday wear or dinner. Highly recommend trying it before buying!
It’s like a bouquet of wild violets with grapefruit and strawberry. I prefer the Eau So Intense because it’s stronger and has that sweet moss scent when dry, but I can’t imagine my collection without the original Daisy. I adore violets, and even if it seems generic, it’s still a marvel.
Floral, synthetic, and with a sharp note that doesn’t convince; it smells like plastic or burnt rubber. Zero longevity.
Fresh florals with a bitter woody touch and a hint of sweetness. It smells comforting and easy to wear, though the trail and longevity are low-to-moderate (around 4 hours). It’s pricey for what it offers, but the scent is recognizable. Ideal for the office or elegant events.
I just bought this fragrance; the moment I smelled it, I loved it, even though I already own Daisy Eau So Fresh and they’re very similar. Upon analyzing it, I can say the opening is the same, but it changes seconds later on the skin. Honestly, I prefer the original over Daisy Eau So Fresh—it’s softer, smelling like sweet flowers, whereas the other one develops a citrus note after a few seconds that I don’t like much. I tolerate it, but it’s not to my taste.
Today’s Daisy isn’t the one from before, what a shame! It’s a BBW body mist that barely lasts an hour on the skin, whereas before it was delicate and lasted longer. For almost $70, it’s just alcohol with some flowers; don’t waste your money.
A floral, fresh aroma, somewhat synthetic but pleasant. Ideal for hot days. It has some similarity to Chance Eau Tendre, though the latter feels less synthetic and more fruity. Longevity and sillage are terrible.
I never could get into it; I think the strawberry note alone just doesn’t convince me. Over time, it’s become very popular and easy to spot on people.
Am I the only one, or does this fragrance not last at all? The scent itself is amazing, but it’s a pity it’s so weak. Is it my bottle?? It feels like it disappears as soon as I put it on, even after just 8 sprays. I’ve wanted to buy it for ages, but I’m so disappointed with the longevity and projection; honestly, I can smell my laundry detergent more than the perfume.
I LOVE this fragrance, but… I had my sights set on it as my daily comfort scent. I had a decant and decided to order it as a Christmas gift. What a disappointment 🥹… it doesn’t last even an hour. After showering, with lotion, with wax… I’ve tried everything, but it just won’t stick. It’s a real shame; I thought I’d found my ideal perfume. Ozonic violets, slightly sweet, a sweet springtime scent with some acidic touches. It’s fresh and sweet like spring! Daisy is certainly a marvel, but for me, it projects nothing and lasts nothing… I’m heartbroken:-( I’ll try the Intense to see how that goes.
It smells almost identical to Chance Eau Tendre; I barely notice a difference despite the different notes. I like both 🥰, but Daisy is a bit more affordable than Chance.
Starts strong with violet, citrus, and red fruit. Over time, white flowers take over; combined with the citrus and musk, I didn’t end up liking it as much since violet is my favorite note. However, for those who want a fragrance with this note that’s fresh rather than powdery, this could be a good option. I agree that longevity on the skin (at least on mine) isn’t high.
Fresh, youthful, and fruity, like jelly, blending very well with the floral notes, which are the best part. It dries down a bit soapy without losing the earlier vibes. It has its audience. The issue is, I wouldn’t buy it because it doesn’t last at all.
Got this as a gift years ago, tried it a few times, and eventually gave it away. It smelled very artificial and overly sweet, like mosquito repellent 😬😁. I see people comparing it to a Chance fragrance, which I also don’t like, so it definitely wasn’t for me.
Citrusy and airy; the ozonic note is strong at first but fades quickly to reveal clean, soapy florals. It’s not fresh, but not invasive either—it smells like clean laundry with a hint of sweetness. Seems casual, perfect for daily wear or the office, but nothing for special occasions.
On my skin, it works fantastically; it’s an easy-to-please perfume.
Daisy by Marc Jacobs is all light and joy, a graceful fragrance with a softly acidic and herbal opening. I mostly notice the green violet and an unripe strawberry. It’s innocent, radiant, and… also a bit insipid and synthetic. But it’s forgiven because it has the potential to please everyone with its heart of white flowers. It’s like the laughter of a group of teenagers running on a sunny spring day, very youthful, and yet not at all sweet (thank you!). Its lack of pretension and that tender simplicity are appreciated, although it could last a bit longer; its performance is really poor.
Fresh, luminous, and youthful. It reminds me of my adolescence and when I started dating my boyfriend. I have an appreciation for it, but the scent is somewhat basic.
Guided by reviews, the notes, and its creator, Alberto Morillas, I thought: ‘this has to be spectacular’. Total disappointment. Regarding the scent, it’s generic; it smells like a body mist. And regarding performance, it’s poor: extremely expensive, requires reapplication, and doesn’t shine. They might say: ‘Deborah, it also lacks exotic notes’. But I’m not into exotic perfumes; it seems they use low-quality ingredients. I don’t smell anything natural in it. Anyway.
Daisy by Marc Jacobs is an addictive and charming floral-fruity nectar. Its fruity and fresh sweetness emerges right from the start, thanks to the violet and strawberry with citrus accords. I usually don’t enjoy sweet perfumes, but this one isn’t cloying. It settles into the floral phase where the violet takes the lead, followed later by musk and woods. I barely notice vanilla and I’m grateful for that, as it’s well-integrated. I own both fragrances, and for me, Chanel’s Chance EDP is practically a clone of Daisy, although the latter is more intense and long-lasting on my skin, making the investment much more worthwhile. Additionally, I notice Chance smells more synthetic (I don’t have the EDT) compared to Daisy; this sweetness feels more natural, with that lovely ‘nectarine’ effect, charming and youthful, like flower nectar on a spring day. It requires quite a bit of reapplication to prolong its longevity, but given the price and the well-being effect, it doesn’t bother me. I see it as ideal for spring and autumn, with moderate fixation and projection. Its little bottle is adorable to collect, with a beautiful and award-winning design.
From the very first moment it conveys freshness and softness. Over time it reveals warm notes, ideal for day and night. A balanced and very pleasant scent.
The richest perfume in the world. I wish its flankers were still available.
An aroma only Alberto Morillas knows how to create: a perfect mix of floral, fruity, and powdery notes in harmonic balance. I feel it’s timeless, suitable for any age or season, though better in spring. It leaves a mark and stays in memory. Maybe women over 30 would prefer it, since today’s crowd seeks sweet and gourmand scents. If you like fresh florals, like just out of the shower, this is for you. I love it, even though I’m not a fan of white florals or ozonic notes; here they are well-balanced and not tiring.
I apologize for the long review, but it’s very balanced: neither too floral, with a musky and sweet touch at the same time. Ideal for beginners in florals or perfumery, super versatile for almost anything, and never overwhelming.
I’m a man and I gifted this to my mother, who is over 55, and it was a total hit. It’s feminine, fresh, and timeless. It perfectly balances floral, powdery, and fresh notes, closing with that typical acid note found in floral bouquets. PS: When I tried Byredo’s MOJAVE GHOST, Daisy by Marc Jacobs instantly came to mind.
