I love it, the rose scent is wonderful.

It’s a powdery, elegant rose; it reminds me of Lady Vengeance by JHG, though this one is darker. I see it as ideal for spring and autumn thanks to that dusty touch, which doesn’t fit hot summers or very cold winters. Perfect for formal events, with moderate sillage and longevity, almost on the lower side.

I see it as perfect for a mature woman looking for something fresh, sweet, elegant, and feminine. Good performance on my skin, about 7 hours with moderate projection. Although chemistry varies from person to person, I’d suggest it as a fragrance that hardly disgusts anyone, except those who can’t stand roses. Simply beautiful and very true to Dolce’s style.

I expected much more from Dolce Rosa Excelsa. It’s a lovely, intense, refreshing, and feminine rose, but very simple, and there are already many rose perfumes following the same path. Here, I sense a very fragrant, fresh rose with soapy cleanliness touches, musky, and slightly talcum-like as it settles. It’s a pretty but common perfume; it doesn’t stand out, and I don’t feel it screaming ‘here I am.’ Still, it’s versatile, with good sillage and longevity. I give it a 7/10.

Oh, Rose, what a pity you don’t like me. It was a gift from someone who wanted to please me, and seeing ‘Dolce&Gabbana,’ they thought it would be incredible. How wrong they were. What a pity I couldn’t ask for the receipt. I was surprised that others could identify notes; on me, I only feel a powerful, sweet, powdery, and soapy rose from start to finish. It’s linear, generic, simple, boring, and introverted. It doesn’t even have a pretty bottle; it looks cheap for its price. The longevity was good, over 7 hours, but the sillage is very weak; it doesn’t even radiate upon application. I don’t recommend it; there are many more original and affordable options. Basically, they’re charging you for the logo. It’s funny that they praise the ad and not the fragrance. The ad is gorgeous, but what’s the point if you’re selling something off-the-shelf at a high price.

What caught my attention is that it’s suitable for everyday wear, even in summer, when you want freshness and cleanliness without falling into citrus; it’s slightly sweet. Highly recommended for those who like soft and romantic perfumes. Its sillage is moderate and longevity is very good, ending up soft, musky, and perhaps a bit soapy. It’s perfect for any occasion; it doesn’t clash in closed or warm, sunny environments, very much in line with the Italian style: ‘dolce far niente.’ The little bottle also seems lovely, and the cap represents the rose… The commercial spot with Sophia Loren is gorgeous!!!
