Dolce is a shy, beautiful floral, like early spring with the first seasonal fruits: small, tender, and lovely. It’s an easy, uncomplicated perfume. It has a minimal fresh, floral-fruity touch, like newborn flowers with dew. Ideal for noses seeking something safe, non-invasive, and pleasant year-round. It’s a kind, cheerful softness, like Chloe or Daisy. It’s the croissant when you don’t know what to order—the comfortable, pretty option to avoid overthinking.

I used it a few years ago and loved it: super sweet, floral, fresh, and feminine. Perfect for daytime and summer. I also loved its advertising. I wore a lot of it and adored it. Now it doesn’t smell as rich, and I agree with those who say it’s very pricey.

Fresh, green, and aquatic. Besides the lotus, the narcissus is clearly noticeable in the floral part. It has moderate sillage and lasts about 8 hours on my skin. If I had it, I’d wear it for informal summer occasions, but it evokes sensations similar to a cheaper perfume in my collection, Lightly Bloom by Zara, which performs equally or better on my skin, so I wouldn’t buy it. Scent: 6.5/10, Longevity: 8/10, Sillage: 6.5/10, Value: 6.5/10, Versatility: 7.5/10, Packaging: 8.5/10. Would I buy again? No.

When in 2014 D&G realized Monica Bellucci could no longer be their face due to the loss of her youthful glow and the need to capture new generations, they decided to ‘Belluccize’ the most similar model to launch their new perfume with a Gen Y vibe. The choice of model (Kate King, Canadian) suggests they wanted to convey this shift through imagery: made-up and dressed to look as Italian as possible, copying Bellucci. However, the girl lacks the original’s allure. Something similar happens with Dolce: they try to sell it as the next Italian brand perfume, but it’s pleasant, no more than a bland, artificial summer scent, like musky water lily water with a citrus opening and lots of cashmere at the end. Despite being a summer scent, it lasts less than an hour in the heat unless you douse yourself in it, in which case it lingers on the skin for a couple more hours. No idea of the real cost; I used up my 1.5 ml sample in a day and lost interest, but it surely isn’t worth 10€. If you like light, feminine perfumes, I highly recommend trying Japanese houses like Issey Miyake or Kenzo: for similar prices, they offer diaphanous perfumes with better longevity and quality. Pleasant: 5/10, Interesting: 3/10, Versatile: 6/10, Original: 3/10.

In my opinion, it’s a soft, delicious fragrance with a floral scent and delicate. Its longevity is low for the price it commands. However, I would buy it again if I find it on sale.

Just bought this blind buy while pregnant and it was on a hot 50% sale. It’s a fragrance that says nothing. It’s quite floral and smells very much like floor cleaners in Argentina, almost identical to Poett, which really disappointed me. It’s a light, generic French scent found in any imitation. In my country, Argentina, everything carries this perfume: supermarket creams, cleaners, tonics, makeup… A real pity.

Another beautiful, fresh, and feminine fragrance ideal for hot seasons where you don’t crave something so intense, but it adds elegance. People criticize it for longevity and sillage, but personally I’m thrilled: on my skin it lasts a very good 8 hours, sometimes up to 10, with a nice trail—not overpowering, but very well perceived when I pass by. You have to test it on skin because pH is what makes it click.

It’s a pity it lasts so little on the skin because it smells great. If it weren’t so expensive, it would be worth using daily for work, without any extra pretensions. It’s fresh, soft, and pleasant, but it’s just not worth the price.

DOLCE by Dolce & Gabbana: a seductive, deliciously feminine fragrance that captivated me. This is my fifth bottle. The brand launched it in early 2014. Dolce represents an emotional and romantic journey through Sicily. It’s described as a soft, feminine floral scent. The freshness of neroli paired with the exquisite papaya flower opens the composition; this top note is sweet on the nose and beautifully introduces the heart, dominated by African white amaryllis (used for the first time in fragrance), narcissus, and white water lily. They provide substance and depth, blending perfectly into a luminous, unique, and dazzling combination—a true delight. The base is soft with cashmere and musk. This fragrance is fascinating; it transports me to a spring garden. It has moderate sillage, lasting 8 hours on skin and days on clothes. It’s ideal for warm weather: light, fresh, and offering luminous notes that stay until late afternoon. It’s versatile, perfect for everyday wear, but I also take it to outdoor weddings where it’s always a hit. A classic yet original floral fragrance, perfect for spring and summer, a mix with personality, very feminine and not generic. On the contrary, within its softness and romance, it’s bold and elegant. The bottle is lovely and beautiful, one of D&G’s best.

Very subtle, no sillage, and not intense at all. Perfect for everyday wear if you’re looking for a clean, fresh scent.

I love it! Smells like grass, herbs, and lots of green… even though it’s not listed in the notes, that’s exactly what I perceive on my skin, and it lasts forever, considering how fresh it is. Must be pH-dependent. I’m obsessed.

Floral and harmless, for good girls or delicate women. It gives me the same vibes as Anaïs Anaïs. They don’t look alike but share a style. The sillage is soft, and all that remains is a creamy musk melted into the skin, with a faint hint of white petals. It’s docile, simple, and appropriate, but it lacks the soul that Cacharel truly infused into their sweet florals. Approved, but barely.

What a disappointment for Dolce. This fragrance is overdone, so simple and unbalanced that it feels cheap. It borders on bizarre because a brand like this risks launching something so generic, and you can tell just by looking at the bottle. I only detect three notes: bergamot, water lily, and an exaggerated, synthetic musk. I have nothing positive to say; it and I just don’t get along.

It’s not bad, but it’s not surprising either. At least for me, it didn’t evoke any positive feelings. I wouldn’t buy it; it also doesn’t last long. The pink version is better, that one actually works.
