  • It’s a good scent, dignified, for people over 38. The dry-down smells like a wealthy lady because of that pronounced iris, though the whole thing is exquisite and balanced. I don’t know when to wear it because nobody gets married or dies every day. In a year, I barely used 8-9 ml. I preferred to sell it and get back 70% before it went bad. The best designer scent I’ve ever tried.

Dior Homme Parfum, I remember the first time I smelled it in a store. On paper, nothing happened, but once I put it in my pocket, my brain exploded a while later. I went back and asked the girl again, and I bought it without hesitation. I know it’s not very versatile and very obvious (luxury, formality, power), but it has me conquered from the first sniff. Spectacular. A very refined and polished iris. If you love that Dior makeup/powder scent, this is your fragrance. If not, look more toward an iris like Prada’s.

  • Martínvenezuela

It’s not for everyone; it’s dignified and adult, not youthful, and you need the right outfit. But you know what, it’s really good. If it’s your first perfume, don’t go for this; you need experience to appreciate it.

  • It’s the Sistine Chapel of perfumery. A current classic that always surprises. One of the greatest creations of all time. Pure olfactory poetry, elegance with legs.

  • A classic jewel in designer perfumery, sadly reformulated and destroyed in 2025. You can hardly find it in stores anymore, turning it into a relic people will pay fortunes for. Dior, what have you done?

  • BeatrizBlackwood

I always wanted to try it for the notes; it sounds like a work of art. Rip Dior Homme Parfum.

  • New Year 2025. While everyone talks about the new DH Parfum, I’m still riding the original from 2014, which was a beast. The iris and wood opening hits you hard, almost too much. It blends leather, rose, and an animalic touch with oud and musk. It smells like the inside of a luxury wallet with some makeup on it. It’s mainstream but smells like high-end niche. A great perfume, very special, but not for everyone.

  • For me, it’s a flop. It smells feminine, powdery, and like an old rich woman. It’s not for me.

  • This week has ended the era of this wonder that gave us so many good moments. Dior Homme Parfum as we knew it is no longer on the shelves. We’ll keep our bottles wrapped like gold. A sad day for a great debut that’s saying goodbye. R.I.P. DHP.

  • Sincerely, it’s a perfume that seems to be liked much more by men than women, and the current prices are ridiculous, never dropping below 250€… I don’t know what to think. I got one from January 2024 for 160€ (Sephora raising prices knowing it was being discontinued), and it seems like a regular purchase, but I wanted to have it already since it seems like a different fragrance, at least to me. It’s a good perfume, but not as good as some say it’s the best commercial perfume in history, nor as bad as to say it’s for an old person and almost everyone was very radical or on one side or the other. My conclusion is: don’t worry if you didn’t get it (unless you’re a collector) at the 160€ price and forget about it if you’re looking for value; no matter how much you like it, there must be many other alternatives.

  • Incomprehensible the lack of respect Dior shows its legacy. This is an icon they’ve betrayed, replaced by something diluted and charmless. If every house did the same, what would be left? Dior, change your strategy and respect your history. This is Dior Homme Parfum; everything else is something different. A jewel we’ll keep in memory.

  • Before leaving my review of this good perfume, I want to say something: you can’t sell a Dior Homme Parfum 2025 as an old Dior Homme Parfum. It can’t be that you go to a store to try it and they tell you instantly that they’re the same, just the bottle changes. NO, THEY ARE NOT THE SAME, MAM, don’t sell me the bike! Said that, my sincere review: to me, this perfume seems like a jewel of perfumery, but on the other hand, I don’t like it too much. I see it as unisex, for people over 40, for well-dressed gentlemen at an important winter event. That’s it. Dior Homme Parfum (the old one). It smells like a king approaching with his queen, both well-dressed. Do I like it? Yes. Do I like it a lot? NO. It’s exclusive for important events, winter, night, and for those over 40. Outside of that, NO. It smells of iris, lots of makeup, oud, sweet, heavy, creamy… Why is it a jewel? Because of the incredible combination of olfactory notes it has; it’s madness. A collector must have it, no ifs or buts. But… would I gift it to a friend? NO! I’d give them something more wearable, a richer scent that everyone would appreciate. Dior must have thought this too, which is why they changed it and put out a Dior Homme Parfum 2025 that resembles Armani Code Parfum more. More wearable, rich at the start, and more versatile. But what you can’t do is sell it as if it were the same thing because NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! Said that, for me, it’s a 7 out of 10.

I won’t say it’s the best perfume in history, but I will say that until today, it’s the one I’ve liked the most from all the ones in my extensive collection and the ones I’ve tried, not just designer ones. This perfume far exceeded my personal taste compared to all perfumes in general, including niches that multiply their price several times over. It’s a unique perfume, hard to imitate, which is why there are practically no clones of this masterpiece; the only one that resembles it is the Canadian Gary’s Den Fomo, and only in the opening, which is practically identical, but in terms of evolution and performance, it’s not even close. Dior Homme Parfum is a complete perfume; François Demachy’s work is top-notch. It’s a perfume where you don’t feel the alcohol at all; it’s the only one that allows me to bring my nose to my wrist immediately after spraying. It has three perfectly defined phases: a first one with a sharp orange and an iris as absolutely dominant notes; a second where a creamy leather and a powdery rose take the spotlight; and a final one where the perfume subtly becomes woody while keeping the previous notes alive at all times in a masterful subtlety. I don’t want to go on because I hate long reviews, and there’s so much to say about this masterpiece that they’ve decided to bury under a marketing stroke. I refuse to call Dior Homme Parfum what they released in 2025; it’s another perfume that has nothing to do with it, even though they shamelessly stole its name.

  • Brutal performance, excellent quality, a sublime perfume with superb execution that makes it an unparalleled masterpiece. I won’t say more because everything has already been said about this aromatic jewel.

  • Carcanuelo

A masterpiece of perfumery. The orris molecules are worked to perfection, which is what sets it apart from any other perfume, designer or niche. It starts with that orris root and a citrus touch, like tangerine, giving a brief luminosity. Then the iris takes center stage, accompanied by a very elegant rose and a leathery base. The dry down is led by that earthy iris alongside a slightly dirty, animalic musk. It’s a perfume with immense longevity because the ingredients are heavy and durable (orris, leather, musk) and it doesn’t lose its character; something impossible to expect in perfumes with volatile molecules where after 4 or 5 hours only musks or amber remain in isolation, losing the composition. It’s ridiculous to idolize a Megamare or a Rosendo Mateu 5 for their longevity, since they are oversized bombs of ambroxan and amber with little depth. That’s why a perfume isn’t bad for not lasting more than 5 hours if the composition deserves it, because after the 6th hour, you’ll only smell the heaviest molecules, not the perfume. It’s pure chemistry. Longevity of this Dior Homme Parfum (2022) is 10 hours on skin and days on clothes. For autumn and winter and very elegant situations, don’t use more than 4 sprays because it has great projection and sillage, and the aroma could saturate the surroundings. It’s not as versatile as a Rolls Royce, nor does it need to be. One of the best perfumes ever created, but never buy blindly, because it’s not an easy scent. Absolute unisex.

  • whiskeydaddy

If you like perfumes, you’ll love Dior Homme Parfum. I’ll never forget the first time I applied this: a dense iris and violet embracing the air, making it elegant and warm. It’s one of those perfumes that changes your character, one where you wait for people to ask what you’re wearing just so you can say ‘Dior Homme Parfum’.

  • Kylow Ren

An aromatic jewel, the pinnacle of perfumes of this century… it has only one problem: perfumes are made to smell good, but deep down, we want to please others, and this is a men’s fragrance masterpiece that women don’t like. Whether by H or B, the Dior wonder didn’t appeal to the girls. There’s a YouTube reviewer video comparing both in front of women, and the new parfum absolutely crushes this wonder… I own it and like it, but if Dior changed it, there’s a reason… because it has to please everyone, not just a few specialists.

THE BEST DESIGNER PERFUME OF ALL TIME: A YIN-YANG OF FEMININE AND MALE. The title sounds exaggerated, but it’s the absolute truth. I’ve had this bottle for almost a year, and the quality and presence are so high I only wear it for special occasions, though I sniff it daily just to enjoy it. Every single note feels distinct with supreme quality, surpassing many niche perfumes I’ve tried. The profile is a perfect yin-yang between masculine and feminine: a rose and iris that are quite feminine, reminiscent of an older lady with heavy makeup, contrasted with a chocolatey, woody, musky part that feels very masculine, evoking a confident, reliable man. On skin, it shifts dramatically, highlighting the feminine or masculine side depending on who wears it (I see it as unisex). Even for special occasions, someone with a strong personality can wear it daily; the ambrette musk makes it highly adaptable. Regarding reactions, the one time I wore it, no one commented, except my girlfriend who loves it and agrees it’s the best I own and probably the best designer perfume out there. Sincerely, when you wear this, the last thing that matters is what people say. Nuclear-level longevity; it never fades, and two sprays are enough to be covered. It’s not an exaggeration; it’s a beast that doesn’t ask for permission. Be careful with clothes because the scent is persistent until washed and can stain. In conclusion, it’s the best designer perfume of all time in my opinion and many others’, as simple as that. Wish everyone could try it, especially now that it’s discontinued and replaced by something a thousand times worse. Buy the full bottle; you won’t regret it.

  • A fragrance masterpiece. It’s not just a perfume that smells good; it reaches your heart from the first spray to the last projection. It’s a scent you won’t find on just anyone or anywhere; it’s the most masculine thing possible, elegant and attractive, with that constant iris presence and a woody, creamy sandalwood dry down. It reminds me a lot of JEAN PAUL GAULTIER LE MALE LE PARFUM for that incredibly woody iris.

  • MrTankian18

It’s not just any perfume; it’s THE perfume. A statement of intent. Imagine a velvet fist: soft to the touch but powerful enough to command respect. The elegance of iris is darkened by leather and embraced by amber and oud, creating an unforgettable silhouette. It doesn’t conquer through volume, but through presence. Mysterious, warm, masculine… Dior Homme Parfum doesn’t smell like a man; it smells like the best man you can be. The best in the world. Period.

If there existed a perfume that touched perfection, one that could encapsulate in a single trail the most sober elegance, the most refined sophistication, and the most contained sensuality, that would be—without a doubt—Dior Homme Parfum. We are facing a masterpiece of modern perfumery: an author’s fragrance clothed in a classic soul. From the first spray, it unfolds an enveloping symphony of powdery iris and velvety leather, interwoven with the balsamic density of a milky sandalwood that recalls hand-polished noble woods. It’s a perfume that doesn’t shout, but whose presence is undeniable. In it resides an elegant, intellectual, even melancholic masculinity, far from contemporary olfactory stereotypes. The longevity is simply magnificent: it stays on the skin for over 12 hours with integrity and evolution, and its projection is imposing, yet never invasive. It attracts, envelops, seduces… without a single harsh note. Each phase of its olfactory sequence is masterfully balanced, as if the perfume possessed its own tempo, alien to the frenzy of the modern world. In my humble opinion, this version of Dior Homme Parfum is not only the best perfume I’ve had the privilege of wearing, but also the most representative of true contemporary perfumery art. An olfactory gem that today is even more valuable due to its discontinuation. Whoever has the fortune to own it should keep it like an ancient manuscript or a century-old bottle of wine: with devotion, and with full awareness of standing before something irreplaceable.

  • Alberto_Pineda

This version of Dior Homme Parfum is probably the best of all fragrances I’ve smelled, strong, intense, and addictive. It’s necessary to get to know it daily through its phases. Francois Demachy has many successes, but this is the best. Ranking from least to most attractive: Dior Homme Original (powdery, dry, and insipid); Dior Homme Sport (citrusy and slightly woody); Dior Homme 2020 (very citrusy and fresh woody); Dior Homme Intense (where he truly showed genius with Iris + Lavender + Vanilla); Dior Homme Parfum 2014. It’s among the best in the world, Oud + Vanilla + Sandalwood + Leather.

  • Really good, honestly. It’s a sweet/floral fragrance. It reminds me a bit of JPG Le Male; it seemed to have a pear/sweet note with a creamy touch. It feels intense.

  • Dior Homme Parfum ❄️🤵🏻 To be honest: few fragrances have impacted me as much as this one. For me, it’s the definition of elegance and class; it looks like a tuxedo: sober, luxurious, refined. Sophisticated masculinity. I have a funny story: when I started with perfumes, I confused the Parfum with the Intense. I even bought the Intense thinking they were almost the same, just more concentrated. Over time, I realized my mistake: they are completely different compositions. Since then, my obsession was getting the Parfum. Upon trying it, I was amazed. The iris, the emblem of the line, is noticeable immediately, accompanied by Italian orange that gives it elegant freshness. The rose is a supporting note, not the protagonist, but it adds depth and shine. The leather, though less evident than in Prada L’Homme Intense, adds depth. And in the base, the ambrette musk adds an animalic nuance that brings complexity. Everything blends into a balanced structure. The sensation is luxurious, almost velvety, with a sometimes chocolatey touch, but always centered around the iris. It’s a formal, serious, mature perfume; not for casual use. It demands a suit, tuxedo, or gala event. Wearing it in a relaxed context would be disrespectful. In performance, it’s excellent: over 12 hours on skin and much longer on clothes. The projection is intense for the first 3-4 hours with an elegant trail, perceptible but not invasive. The next day, clothes still smell fresh. Regarding its character: it feels unisex, leaning feminine. Perfect for a mature, elegant woman. But that doesn’t take away from its masculine strength. It’s a perfume to appreciate, not to conquer. It doesn’t seek to please the general public or be immediately agreeable; it’s made for those who enjoy perfumery at its most refined level. As for the price, it’s high and increasingly hard to find. Fortunately, I managed to get a bottle in 2024, and I know it will be nearly impossible to find one in the future. If you have the opportunity, buy it without hesitation: it’s an investment in a piece of olfactory history. In conclusion, Dior Homme Parfum is one of the most elegant perfumes ever created. Refined, long-lasting, complex, and exclusive, it holds a very high place on my personal list, perhaps the second-best fragrance I’ve tried, only rivaled by Prada L’Homme Intense. A gem that every perfume lover should experience at least once. Scent: 10👃 Originality: 10 🌟 Sillage: 8.8💨 Projection: 9.5 🔭 Longevity: 10⏳ Versatility: 3🔄 Formality: Elegant👔

  • A niche hit. Suddenly everyone loved it when it was barely selling and they had to reformulate. Low versatility, but a 10/10 scent.

  • A scent that demands a suit or tuxedo, or at least a shirt and tie. It declares maturity, status, and elegance. I bought a 10ml decant to try the acclaimed Dior Homme Parfum 2020, which is now discontinued. At first, I was slightly disappointed by the makeup-like opening, but on skin is where the magic happens. With notes of chocolate, roses, and sweet tones, it projects a ‘thick’ or ‘dense’ aroma thanks to the woods, feeling like a niche fragrance disguised as designer. Perfume for men over 30 and formal occasions. A gem in perfumery, I’ll give you that.

  • I’m putting this in my top 3 alongside Gucci Pour Homme (203) and Habit Rouge Parfum. The Holy Trinity. I have nothing else to add; it’s already been said.

  • Jojocha3329

An olfactory experience every perfume lover must have, whether you’re a man or a woman. Truly a masterpiece.

  • My favorite perfume, this masterpiece of perfumery, is a fragrance where iris dominates, an exquisitely quality iris that evokes the scent of makeup. It reminds me of those powders from the brand Maderas that smelled on my sister and mother when I was a child. It highlights that elegant aroma wrapped with chocolatey touches, intense wood, and very elegant aquatic tones. An elegant, masculine, and sophisticated perfume that I keep like gold in a safe. It’s not very versatile; I use it on formal occasions where I want to stand out with this scent that makes you look like you’re wearing a luxury suit. Unfortunately, it’s a discontinued perfume, the formula has changed, and the scent has lost all the essence it once had. In my opinion, perfumery is art; a perfumer is equal to a painter, sculptor, musician, or scientist. Their legacy or works should be equally protected. It’s like if the director of the Prado decided to change the Las Meninas by Velázquez to make it more modern and to the taste of current masses; it would be an aberration of art, wouldn’t it? I felt the same when I can’t have this perfume anymore. Although there are some alternatives that evoke some similarity, they don’t reach the quality of this scent.

  • DIOR HOMME PARFUM smells like the best night of my life. My great love, laughter, friends, suits and ties, music, and a good cigarette. Singing until my voice gives out, a touch of nostalgia, and not checking the clock until morning. It’s a masterpiece; there is and never will be a more elegant and sophisticated perfume. This hits the metrosexual mark. Here is the pure essence of Dior. Here Demachy left us the legacy of why it’s one of the best in history. I won’t talk about notes; I’ll talk about moments. And that’s because Dior Homme Parfum smells like the best night you can have. The fact that they discontinued it only makes its legend bigger. Unique and irreplaceable.

  • I still have a little less than half of this gem I bought in 2016. For perfume lovers, it’s always in the top 3 of the greatest of all time, but on the street, people sometimes don’t like it as much. What can you say? It’s a marvel with that iris and wood scent. And 10 years later, it’s still the same. A few drops (without squeezing too hard) and you smell great for hours with good projection. Just be careful, it stains white clothes.

  • A total beast of a fragrance, but with this scent, you won’t get compliments; you’ll smell like elegance. If you’re not dressed well or it’s hot, maybe skip it. It’s funny when people say they reformulated it because they couldn’t sell it. I have a 75ml bottle that’s been sitting for about 8 years and another I bought before the change in 2024 that will last me at least 10 years, given how many fragrances I have and because if you know the perfume, you know it’s impossible to wear it every day, more than 4 or 5 times a month. That’s why it wasn’t selling, not for any other reason. Those who own it should enjoy it to the fullest, as it’s an experience in extinction.

Hey guys! I managed to grab a bottle of the 2020 version a few days ago and wanted to ask if there are major differences from the original 2014. Purists say the new one is just a good imitation of the old one. The scent I loved (it reminds me a lot of its sibling, Dior Homme Intense) since I’m a huge fan of the Dior Homme line. Thanks, looking forward to your replies, cheers.

  • I’ve had this tucked away for two years and use it occasionally; it’s a masterpiece of iris and elegance. The scent is potent but always perfect with a suit. Even my 27-year-old brother (who owns Dior Homme Intense) smelled it and went crazy, unfortunately he hasn’t been able to get his hands on it.

  • JuanCarlosRagon

Couldn’t try it before the reformulation because it was impossible to find here and in Mexico. If anyone has a decant or a bottle to share, I’d be incredibly grateful, haha.
