Gary’s Den FOMO: What a beautiful, surprising fragrance! For anyone who has tried Dior Homme Parfum, this is the closest thing, just a little sweeter. It’s the best inspiration for DHP because it has Dior’s personality while adding its own, warm touch—a high-level masterpiece. Forget those trying to mimic the Intense; this is a complete, overflowing hybrid that brings out the best in both. Performance is very good and the olfactory experience is unique. Simply fantastic, a work of passion and harmony with outstanding glamour and class. If you’re looking for something similar to the Parfum or Intense, I assure you this brings out the best in both. On top of that, the price is ridiculous for what it offers, one of the few that should cost more. It proves that good things don’t have to be expensive, that there are still perfumers who love their craft. An extraordinary example. Scent: 11. Projection: over 2 hours. Longevity: 10 hours. More than recommended, it’s a must-buy.

  • It’s not an exact copy of Dior Homme Parfum; the original is top-tier quality with a disruptive concept, best for special occasions. This Gary’s Den is magnificent too, great for events but more versatile: dates, nights, afternoons. It bridges the gap between Intense and Parfum (some confuse them, but they have nuances). I absolutely love this Fomo version: great projection, a seductive chocolatey dry-down, and over eight hours of longevity. Highly recommended for its quality-to-price ratio.

Pffft… Spectacular! For just €34 on Notino. I already owned Dior Homme Parfum but couldn’t find the right moment to wear it… This Gary’s Den Fomo shares the same DNA but is more versatile, with less leather and a more aromatic touch. I sold my Dior to keep this one, haha. Excellent development, 100% recommended.

  • This is a masterpiece, an absolute bargain, it’s spectacular!!! I don’t understand how they managed to make something so good at that price, unless they think the only interest of commercial brands is to rip us off. Basically, it’s Dior Homme Parfum at one-third the cost but in a uglier bottle. I’m thrilled with the purchase; I don’t know if I’ll use it up, but I’m already buying another. Greetings. Edit: ended up buying two more 😅.

  • I’ll be direct: it’s very similar to Dior Homme Parfum (I own both). But this one is easier to wear, a bit more masculine, and chocolatey. It’s obviously a bit more synthetic than the Dior one… but it’s fantastic. The longevity is high, about 6 hours projecting well, then another 6 hours close to the skin. The quality is top-notch; when it’s back on Notino, I’ll buy it again. Highly recommended.

  • This is simply delicious and at an unbeatable price for this quality. As fellow community members pointed out, it’s a ‘versatile’ version of Dior Homme Parfum. A truly addictive scent for lovers of this fragrance type.

If you’re looking for an affordable alternative to Dior Homme Parfum, Gary’s Den Fomo might be worth a try. But let’s be clear: it’s not even close in quality. The notes feel synthetic, and you won’t find that powdery rose or the creamy, elegant leather of François Demachy’s masterpiece. It follows the DHP line thanks to the iris, but it’s aimed at those who want something similar without paying designer prices. If you’re an advanced enthusiast with a trained nose, you’ll likely be disappointed if you buy it expecting a faithful clone. That said, if you’re not treating it as a DHP substitute but rather as a daily wear, it does a decent job. I’ll even say something controversial: between the new 2025 reformulation of DHP and this Gary’s Den Fomo, I’d stick with the latter. At least it offers a more consistent experience and saves you money. Just don’t expect the magic, performance, or elegance of the original, discontinued DHP. Gary’s Den Fomo may remind you of DHP due to a similar vibe, but if you have perfume experience, you’ll immediately spot it as a cheap clone. And when I say cheap, I’m not just talking about price—the quality of the ingredients and composition gives it away. Bottom line: a good option for daily use if you’re not picky or just want an iris vibe without breaking the bank. But if you’re hunting for a worthy Dior Homme Parfum replacement… keep looking.

  • They’re lying when they say it’s similar to Dior Homme Parfum. It takes a completely different direction; it’s a bomb of labdanum and amber. It could be an oriental flanker of Dior but in nuances not even close. DHP is iconic and unique and we don’t know when it’ll return maybe in a private collection like Gucci did with Absolute. Don’t sell smoke to the gullible.

  • It’s not a bad fragrance but there’s something chemical that repels me. I hope it improves with maceration; I’ll update again.

Don’t get fooled: it’s the old Dior Homme Parfum. Creamy iris makeup scent floral touch in the opening. In the dry down it’s identical.

  • My first review on Fragrantica and I’ll just say: it’s a wonderful fragrance. I haven’t smelled the original Dior Homme Parfum but honestly I don’t think it’s necessary: Gary’s Den Le Parfum deserves to be enjoyed on its own without constant comparisons. The opening has a clear clean elegant lavender that quickly yields to a spectacular talcum iris. It’s like opening a box of fine woods filled with makeup in the middle of a rose field. Over time it gains depth with an ambered resinous base; the labdanum adds density and character wrapping around the iris and giving it a serious adult vibe. After 3-4 hours it evolves into a dry fascinating base smelling of freshly cut wood like walking into a clean carpentry workshop with hot dust floating in the air. On my skin it lasts over 8 hours with clear projection for the first hour and a half then elegant and close to the skin. It has character personality and an evolution that invites you to enjoy it slowly.

  • There’s a lot of confusion in the comments so let me clarify: it’s either a heavily discounted Dior Homme Parfum (practically the same) or a much heavier DIH Intense; it sits right between the two flankers. The cap did change and whether it’s reformulated or not it lasts long and projects well (watch out for olfactory fatigue). It lasts 8-9+ hours without issues and projects strongly for at least 3-4 hours (a lot then it fades but stays present not skin scent). I was skeptical because the alternatives to the original disappointed me but this has far exceeded expectations. If the 2014 DHP were still available today I wouldn’t buy it for anything; with this Gary’s Den you have a 10/10 product.
