I was eagerly waiting for this decant and I’m truly in love with this perfume. It’s a masterpiece. Very feminine, sweet with juicy fruity notes but very elegant; applying just a little bit leaves a hypnotic trail. I’ve never liked perfumes with rose notes, but this one is wonderful.
This perfume lasts a long time and has a strong trail; it only comes off with water. Very elegant and feels a bit formal for special occasions. It doesn’t change much on my skin: it’s rose and incense from start to finish and very strong. I would have loved to feel those fruity notes it carries.
To me, it smells like a stick of rose incense. It’s the perfect blend between Mugler’s Angel Nova and Mancera’s Instant Crush. I like it, but it doesn’t drive me crazy.
Rich and super fine aroma, I love it. I feel roses bathed in a lychee jam. It lasts hoooooours on skin and clothes, even days. 1000/10 🙈
Thanks to this perfume, I discovered that I don’t like rose notes at all… but on top of that, this Turkish rose is hell for me. Every time I smell it, my jaw tightens and I get nauseous, no joke. When the top notes fade, it reminds me of the smell of Manley candles. I avoid it at all costs because it ruins my day.
But what a deal! I’m 100% in love with this fragrance. It was love at first sniff. I’ll try to put it into words so you can get an idea of how beautiful it is. The opening is sparkling thanks to the lychee and bergamot; I didn’t detect the pear note, but I suppose it adds the sweetness (the amber and vanilla do that too). A few seconds later comes a youthful, shy, exquisite rose. I own many rose perfumes, and I can say this is my favorite. Overall, the fragrance stays balanced in all its facets. The dry down is extremely delicate, sweet, and tender… a perfectly balanced sweet rose with incense and oud. A scent that reminds me of something I once smelled; I feel like I had a doll with a similar scent, but I’m not sure. What I can affirm is that I couldn’t stop smelling my doll. As time passed, I fell in love more. I assumed it wouldn’t last long because of its delicacy, and I was wrong: hours passed and I could still smell this beauty. Forget about my sweater. Even though the price is extremely high, especially given Argentina’s current economy, I’ll treat myself to have it in my collection. I’ve already declared it: I can’t wait to use it. Just thinking about it draws a smile on my face ♥
Oh, Delina Exclusif! I bought this fragrance along with another that had a huge hype, and that other one ruined my first experience because it smelled terrible. Since I tested them almost on the same day, my brain associated that awful smell with Delina, and for weeks I couldn’t stand its scent. I gifted that other perfume and waited a few weeks before trying it again… HOLY COW, HOLY PERFUME! I don’t know much about notes since I’m new to this, but to me, it smells like lightly powdery candied roses, as if covered by a delicate shower of powdered sugar. It’s super feminine. If the coquette aesthetic had a scent, it would be this. It smells feminine and delicate, but nothing heavy or animalic; the incense, amber, and oud give it a more mature touch. You can tell it’s niche. I’ve never heard anything like it. A masterpiece.
Divain’s dupe finally arrived. I’ve never bought clones, but I heard about this one and the price was insane, so I went for it. It’s wonderful; I don’t notice that rose note—maybe it’s more prominent in the original—but it’s more of a lactonic vibe like This Is Her by Z&V, just more floral. Once I try the original, I’ll write down the differences, but many niche perfumes should smell and last this long. I also ordered Bewitched Jazmine and it’s identical to the original. In fact, I have samples of Changing Constance that last nothing; the only one that lasted longer was El Mundo Según Arthur by Penhaligon’s. I’m sticking with Divain: it smells amazing, lasts just as long or longer, and doesn’t cost €245 for a bottle.
I was looking for the perfect wedding perfume and ordered decants of several. This is my first Marly; I thought it would be much sweeter, but it is sweet without being overwhelming. I loved it; I’m not a huge rose fan, but here it’s perfectly balanced. I think it’s a super feminine, tender scent but not immature. On my skin, I smell the rose with a subtle vanilla and a light woody base along with the incense; I don’t detect much fruit, but it’s there hidden to balance everything. Of course, this is my inexperienced opinion as I discover this world. UPDATE: In the end, it did sweeten me up a bit, but that’s because I don’t like sweet perfumes. The combination is exquisite, but if you absolutely hate sweets, it can get a bit tiring. It lasts forever: I showered and I could still smell it.
Left a comment on Delina Exclusif yesterday and tried the original on my skin today: sorry to those who spent a fortune on it when Divain is the exact equivalent. You can’t tell them apart. Plus, the clone lasted hours with a powerful trail, while the original faded quickly and smelled quite weak. By the way, I love Cassili (Divain has it too, though Oriana doesn’t). What ridiculous prices; people must have money to burn. The sad part is they convince themselves the original is better just to show off. I don’t have that problem: whether using authentic niche scents or more affordable ones, I never tell anyone what I’m wearing, especially if it’s super expensive. It’s a matter of elegance: perfume is for me, not for showing off.
Masterpiece. Delicacy, tenderness, and beauty. Longevity and sillage are noteworthy. Fantastic.
I couldn’t disagree more with Margott. Aside from my opinion on the equivalents, this perfume lasts a ridiculous amount of time; I can still feel it perfectly the next day after applying it, and it leaves a huge trail. On the other hand, aside from the fact that brands get paid, the money that niche perfume houses invest in creating these works also needs to be paid for. If Divain or Zara makes a copy, fine for them, but the prior work also needs to be compensated.
@Palma. The money that houses invest at these prices goes to advertising and influencers more than raw materials. Influencers who don’t even know what they’re talking about, just to get perfumes gifted. The prices they ask for a bottle—yesterday I tested a fragrance costing €1,700 and the first thing they told me was that Victoria Beckham wore it, which is reason enough not to have it; there’s no justification whatsoever. They aren’t selling a cure for cancer, for God’s sake. Anyway, there has always been and will be people ready to pay and stupid people who let themselves be swept up by trends without their own judgment, so for me, it’s as if they’re mortgaging themselves to collect perfumes at these prices. By the way, there are niche brands these sellers and influencers don’t know, artisanal author perfumes, not mass-produced, unlike any other, with wonderful raw materials and very reasonable prices. Lately I’ve tested Creed, P. Marly, Xerjoff, and Tiziana Terenzi (I must say, the best longevity), and they all smell incredibly similar. So Divain is the least of their problems. I know they clone each other 😂😂
I love it 😍. It’s super simple, delicate, and the longer it sits, the more powdery it gets and the more I like it. It reminds me of how my Baby Born dolls smelled 🤭❤
One of those fragrances that makes you smile the moment you put it on. Getting richer and more addictive with time, sweet without being cloying, very wearable, my new favorite. I’m into fresh or light fragrances; I don’t like incense or oud, but here they give a slightly deeper base; together with the vanilla, it’s a delight, although what I like most is the cheerful opening. PS: I don’t follow influencers, just my nose, though I respect all opinions since everyone has a different one and that’s what’s beautiful.
Charming perfume. Smells like wet, freshly cut rose mixed with lychee, bergamot, and a hint of sweetness. A fruity and floral aroma, a delight. Longevity is high and the sillage is moderate. Very feminine and I love wearing it.
I bought a 5 ml decant to try because I can’t afford the full bottle yet, and honestly, I’m scared it might not be authentic; plus, it’s a small amount to judge with authority. At first, it resembles Very Good Girl by Carolina Herrera, but I love its smoky touch and hate how it lingers on the skin. In contrast, this sample of the ‘supposed’ Delina Exclusif felt more sparkling, closer to Rose Gourmand (though here they might come with sticks and torches), and more like Angel Nova by Mugler. Another factor: I tested it at 45 degrees in the shade, so if it’s authentic, the ideal use is for cool days. When I get the original, I’ll update.
The dry down is a work of art. It’s an all-in-one perfume that makes you feel like you want to feel, almost camouflaging. Sometimes I feel sexy, sometimes tender, sometimes mysterious. Anyway, it’s a rose cut in the morning, fresh, and I almost perceive it as bathed in dew. In the background, I sense a slice of light jam 😅
Does anyone know the best dupe for this perfume? I have the Divain version and love it, but I feel there are better equivalents. Thanks.
The opening is a stroke of genius: sweet with an acidic touch, like a super-feminine, fruity cloud. I thought that essence would linger, but within a minute it transformed, leaving only pure rose. It smells good, but that rose note gives me a little hesitation to wear it as a perfume. What’s truly another world is the longevity: incredible. I tried soap and a sponge to get it off, but nothing worked; it lasted all day and my wrist still smells the same tomorrow. The best parts are the opening and the longevity.
I agree with @Vermella: it’s a ‘rare’ fragrance, probably due to the lychee and pear paired with rose. It’s so rare, so ‘apparently innocent,’ so ‘pop,’ that it’s actually quite punk. I love it, but unlike most, I don’t see it as suitable for formal or dressed-up occasions; it’s excessive for the office and its trail can be bothersome, so not there either. On me, this goes with skinny jeans and worn-out Converse All Stars.
More caramelized and longer-lasting than the Delinas, with a rebellious touch: transparent smoky notes at the start and end, a creamy and juicy fruit center that hits hard without being annoying, green and white pears and lychees full of peace and mystery. The tropical side is much more evident; it’s wild, rich, spring-like, and optimistic. Maybe more for events that call for elevating the look, but it has a chameleon-like trait: almost any woman, young or old, wears it well. The dry down is velvety smoky with that playful lychee as always. Of the three, it’s the one that convinces me the least, but it still seems gorgeous.
Thanks to everyone for your opinions; they help me choose♥️ Talking about Delina Exclusif: although I’m a perfume fanatic, I now have other priorities and didn’t want to spend a fortune, so I ordered a dupe from a trusted niche shop. I’m not an expert and haven’t heard the original because there’s only one Druni in the whole city…🤣. The sample arrived with two other perfumes, one almost identical and the other I couldn’t smell the original. The truth is, at first, I didn’t like it at all; it seemed very strong and synthetic, like car diesel🙄. I wore it on my arm to test it, and when I started to like it, the bottle ran out😭. I went to another physical store selling dupes and bought a small 15ml bottle… and surprise! I love it, it’s addictive, a delight, fine, sophisticated, and elegant but not serious, super feminine, for any occasion or season; I imagine it on a romantic walk at sunset. It’s like an explosion of freshly cut, velvet-soft sweet roses. On my skin, I notice that and a bit of lychee; I imagine the sweetness is the vanilla. I also don’t notice evolution as it dries down, which doesn’t matter to me. Longevity on my skin is 4 or 5 hours, and the trail is good for the first two hours, then it’s just skin scent, but on clothes and hair, it lasts all day. Conclusion: I’m head over heels, I can’t imagine the original. Would I buy it? Resoundingly, YES, YES, and a thousand times YES😍
Delina is its name, but if its name were Rose, I wouldn’t be surprised, as it’s its dominant note. At first, it smells like a doll’s face, that scent of a newly bought toy. My boyfriend said it smelled like a strawberry doll, like the ‘Strawberry Tart’ dolls from the 80s that you can’t stop sniffing. The rose dominates at first, then the lychee and pear appear when you smell it again, with a woody base. I don’t notice the vanilla. It leaves a moderate trail, nothing heavy. It’s a powdery rose perfume ideal for those of us who love flowers, a beautiful powdery rose. Lasts 4 hours on me, but so what? After showering, I put on something fresher to sleep.
I was really excited to try the Delina Exclusif due to the good reviews, but in the end, my nose didn’t forgive it. It’s a very well-made perfume, but that incense accord doesn’t convince me; it literally smells like a frankincense stick right in my nose and turns me off, nothing smoky. I’m sorry, but for this price, it deserves more chances. I’ll finish the decant to see if it ever wins me over, but for now, it’s a resounding no. The longevity and projection are excellent, and the packaging is dreamy, but it just didn’t catch my attention.
I tried it at a famous perfumery in Buenos Aires, and my conclusion is: either it was fake or the reviews are way too pretentious. It didn’t last or project at all… a total disappointment. On top of that, in Argentina, it costs $635, which is insane. I don’t know what to think; I’ll have to try it elsewhere to see if the tester was bad. But it’s hard to find here. My advice to Argentines: don’t buy it blindly unless you’re bringing it from abroad.
Whenever I see the ‘rose-vanilla’ combo in the notes, I panic with flashbacks of Vietnam, thinking of that abomination that is Mancera. But the Delina Exclusif approach is very different; the incense blends everything together (roses, ambered vanilla, and incense) and reminds me of candle and incense stick displays in spiritual shops and hippie markets. The base wood combined with the acidity of the fruity note brings to mind the smell of magazines, paper pulp, and ink. I don’t feel it’s powdery like I’ve read in other reviews. It’s a curious and different perfume from what I expected (ugh, my prejudices), nothing of that ‘popular girl’ vibe from its kitschy bottle, but rather for my alternative friend. Lasting power and projection are top-notch.
After a year with it, I’d say I like it more than the original Delina: it lasts longer and projects better. It resembles its predecessor, but you no longer detect rhubarb or nutmeg (complicated notes that don’t suit everyone). It’s a rose-vanilla perfume, creamy, with a touch of lychee that doesn’t add acidity but a bit of freshness to keep it from being cloying. It’s slightly sweet but not over the top. I barely notice the oud and incense. If you love floral, creamy, and sweet scents, this is the Delina for you. You can find my review on Instagram @hablemosdefragancias.
I saved the decant I bought during the height of summer, and taking advantage of the fresh air here in South America, I finally applied it. It’s exquisitely amazing. Maybe the maceration boosted the amber and woody notes, while the incense adds that powdery touch just right to highlight the rose and fruity notes. Decision made: it has to be in my collection alongside the traditional Delina.
Hi, I own this perfume and I’m absolutely obsessed—it’s definitely my favorite in the collection. Where I live, I’ve never heard anyone wearing it, which makes me feel super exclusive. I give it 10/10, but a heads-up: only 3 sprays because it’s intense yet not annoying. It’s one of those scents you can smell on yourself; it lasts up to 3 days on hair or more, and on clothes, it’s crazy. For the price, it’s worth it and doesn’t disappoint.
I usually hate the intense rose scent; I don’t like rose water, for example. And this perfume, the first time, I smelled rose water (but for 250 dollars). After a few days, I put it in my bedroom, and the scent left me mesmerized; I rushed to inhale to feel it again. It has a very well-executed mix of every note. It’s intense, with great projection, and the trail lasts a long time. If you like the rose scent, this is your perfume (even though it’s very expensive). It has unmatched quality. Although it’s not my style, it has me a little addicted.
In my opinion, this is the best Delina; I find it so sophisticated and elegant, it has beastly projection and lasts forever. Really, for me, it’s the best perfume from Marley, followed by Oriana and then Delina.
If you like pink roses, slightly acidic due to lychee, and on a bed of musk, this perfume is for you. Super feminine, super versatile, like a pretty lady going to work. It’s super long-lasting on skin and clothes. What I must mention is that it’s super expensive. That’s why I don’t recommend buying it blindly. Otherwise, I think it would be very good as a gift. The bottle and its color look feminine and delicate. A rose perfume that’s slightly acidic on musk. Don’t be scared of the woods because honestly, they don’t stand out.
I adore it, it’s wonderful. Starts with rose and lychee, then incense appears, it’s incredible. It’s fruity, floral, and earthy. For me, a marvel.
On one hand, I like it, but on the other, it smells like a doll’s head… And I don’t know if I want to smell like a doll’s head out there 😂😂
Very similar to the original Delina, which I personally don’t like. However, the Exclusif is more elegant, less strident, creamier, and refined. I use it for evening outings; I think it’s made for after 3 pm, when you dress up a bit. It’s feminine, beautiful, and well-placed. It has a decent trail and is potent, so it can become overwhelming if you overspray.
It’s an aroma taken from a queen’s dream and turned into reality. Worth every penny. If you don’t like roses, try it anyway. Hard to put into words the magic, but I’ll try. Juicy and acidic opening, velvet pear bathed in bergamot and sour lychee nectar. Followed by a silky, creamy, vanilla, and ambered rose. Oud and incense accompany without being sharp; they could ruin the delicacy but they don’t, they’re in the right dose. It’s not a dominant musk or soapy. Every lover of good taste should know it. Brutal performance, felt from the first use; long-lasting, projects, and receives compliments. I find it sensual and innocent at the same time; this is definitely what your love smells like. If I had to choose one to get married in, it would be this, because it makes me feel beautiful. Inexplicable the feeling when something is made so well. Thank you Delina Exclusif for making me happy.
Sophisticated and creamy. Starts with fresh citrus and fruit notes with rose in the heart. What’s interesting is that creamy sensation that adds softness and elegance. As it evolves, the oud and incense darken the composition, but the vanilla balances it with sweetness and warmth. The result is sophisticated, a perfect balance between fruity, floral, dark, and sweet. Versatile for any age, but its elegance makes it ideal for special occasions; the perfect vibe for a wedding where creaminess takes the spotlight. My rating: 9/10. Delina Exclusif combines femininity and sophistication with a dark, sweet touch, perfect for those who want to stand out in memorable moments.
Such a versatile, sensual, and feminine perfume. The journey from the opening to the dry down is excellent. They say Fakhar Rose is a clone, but I feel this one is more ambered than that. Don’t think twice, it’s a gem.
I went super excited to try it after loving Valaya, but with all the hype around the original Delina, I wanted to be sure before spending. What a relief to test them! To my disappointment, nothing. In both, and much worse in the Exclusif, the bergamot comes out acidic and sharp without settling, clashing with the rest. It felt invasive, almost like cleaning products. Sadly, I confirm it’s not for me.
