Another version of CH by Carolina Herrera. Central Park is a fragrance well classified as woody-spicy; I suppose it has more notes than declared on Fragrantica, but the essence lies in the spices, especially cardamom. The opening is sweet and fresh at the same time, reminiscent of the original CH a bit, but then it takes its own spicy and woody path, lowering the sweetness. Although it doesn’t bring new notes to the aroma, it’s pleasant and elegant, with decent projection and good longevity. Ideal for intermediate seasons, day and night, in other words, versatile. It’s not one of those fragrances you “must have,” but it’s one you can use for any occasion and smell pleasant.
I tried it after returning from a trip at the free shop; I liked it, it’s rich and pleasant, but I found it very soft for my taste. I prefer CH Africa, which is spicier and has a stronger, longer-lasting trail. Anyway, it’s not a bad fragrance. I recommend testing it before buying to see how it sits on the skin. Greetings from Buenos Aires.
I was excited about the launch, imagining a solid flanker of the original CH Men reformulated, but my first impression was that it smells totally different in all its phases. A strong hit of citrus and a note I can’t quite identify, which reminds me of a candy from my childhood. The longevity leaves much to be desired. The scent is nice; you won’t offend anyone nor receive a ton of compliments. Ideal for spring, preferably in enclosed spaces due to its moderate trail. It doesn’t impress everyone, but it should be in your collection if you’re a collector or know the CH men’s line. Rating 7.5/10.
I’m writing this to do justice to the best Carolina Herrera has smelled like lately (setting aside their private line). I’ve always liked CH; it’s special and brings back memories. This is a perfect reinterpretation of that masculine and sweet fragrance. Mix CH Men, a bit of 212 Men, and Lolita Lempicka L, and you’ll get this variant: delicious, sweet, and youthful. It has more notes than declared: smell the vanilla, cinnamon, citrus, and sweet woods. The opening is fresher than the original CH, and in the heart notes you can detect the blend of 212 with its herbal touch, vanilla, and a very light licorice trail; at the end, just sweet woods and vanilla. The longevity is poor (I tested it at 3:30 PM and by 7:00 PM I couldn’t smell it anymore), but it smells so delicate and sweet that I can’t stop smelling my wrist. It’s different, unique, and it excited me. How rich it is and how different it is—it is; I haven’t missed a single stage. The trail is hard to define, but the opening is potent and lasts about five or six hours, like most perfumes these days.
Well… it turned out to be out of stock, and I had to rush to another perfumery to smell it. My impression was disappointment: an undefined scent, something old. Nothing I liked, believe me, I went for the reviews. I thought that being a limited edition would make it as good as CH Africa, but I was wrong.
It didn’t kill me; I think it shares some traits with CH Africa, but I find it a bit linear. It passes off as casual with a touch of class, but it’s nothing groundbreaking.
Exquisite fragrance and totally recommended, with a delicious aroma. The longevity is good for an EDT; on my skin it lasts 7-9 hours and has a very pleasant trail. It’s among the best from Carolina Herrera, reminding me a bit of the Kenzo EDT Marine.
I’ve had this for five years and it’s still an absolute bomb I never get tired of using. The scent is indescribable, it’s discontinued, and now it’s worth a fortune, but to me, it’s a work of art. Super versatile and 98% of people compliment me when I wear it.
