  • I have a full bottle at home a gift from maybe five years ago… the scent is a bit overwhelming; I think I smell the musk and a slight woody note. It’s absolutely not my taste; it even made me feel physically uncomfortable.

  • Maybe it can be a bit cloying at first but the scent it leaves on skin and clothes is very soft and pleasant. It lasts for many hours I’d say more than a day. I love it when my boyfriend wears it 😛

  • Evolutico

This is a very rich fragrance. I had no idea what I’d find the first time I used it since it was a blind buy. Besides sharing a bottle with Wild Country I think it’s worth owning. Even though it’s from the catalog Avon really went for quality ingredients. Synthetics? Probably but crafted with taste and delicacy. It’s earned more compliments than some big-name brands by signaling versatile elegance: a presence that doesn’t box you in which broadens its uses. The nutmeg cloves and amber stand out with a musk superior to Wild Country that boosts projection and longevity. Although it lasts about four hours it lingers on clothes a plus for feminine curiosity.

  • It was a gift that left me indifferent. It’s a classic scent for a classic man, and personally, I don’t like it; the excess of amber, musk, and woods overwhelms my nose. The longevity and sillage are good, it lasts well and projects nicely, a true Avon classic that ends up being the kind of gift nobody wants.

It was a gift that left me indifferent. It’s the classic scent for a classic man, but I just don’t like it; the excessive amber, musk, and woods gave me a slight headache. Longevity and projection are good—it’s durable and projects well. A classic Avon scent, the typical gift nobody actually wants.

  • My first perfume was back in the 80s; walking down the sidewalk, I could smell it from across the street, it was like Pepe Le Pew the ferret.

  • Hi! I’m new and this is my first review. This perfume brings back so many childhood memories since we were both born in the glorious 80s. I love it! It has that vintage barbershop touch but very refined nothing cheap. The amber is addictive. Although it doesn’t have the same potency as before due to reformulations I enjoy it every time I use it. It’s my daily favorite for cold autumn and winter days. I wish it lasted longer but I’m content that Avon keeps making it so we can age together. Cheers!

  • Hello everyone! I’m new here and this is my first review. This perfume brings back childhood memories for both of us since we were born in the glorious 80s. I absolutely love it! It has that refined vintage barbershop vibe, nothing cheap. The amber is addictive. Although it’s not as potent as before due to reformulations, I enjoy it every time I wear it. It’s my daily favorite for cold autumn and winter days. I wish it lasted longer, but I’m happy Avon still makes it so we can age together. Cheers!

  • I’ve had it for ages; I don’t even know when I got the bottle. Maybe I used it many years ago. I open it and it smells like talcum powder with more talcum powder. I’m sure it’s not a more complex scent than Azzaro Pour Homme, but it’s just as vintage. It smells clean, like someone just fresh out of the shower. I wouldn’t say it smells like a man or masculinity; it’s simply clean, but it doesn’t radiate modernity like a Nautica Voyage or a Lacoste Blanc Pure. Maybe I’ll give it another chance someday.

  • I’ve had this for years, honestly can’t remember when. Upon opening, it smells like pure talc. It’s no more complex than Azzaro Pour Homme, but equally vintage. Smells freshly showered and clean, yet lacks the modernity of Nautica or Lacoste. Maybe I’ll give it another shot someday.

  • Tender warm and comforting aroma; gives a baby vibe; my girlfriend loves it she said it made her want to hug me. I love the talc-like aura. At first the aldehydes remind me of Old Spice and feel soapy then it evolves into a Johnson’s baby oil style becoming talc-like and warm— I love it!

  • Reminds me of Versace L’Homme, though less citrusy and more spicy. The longevity caught me off guard—it’s really good. Dries down soapy and powdery, evoking the 80s. I picked it up in Argentina at a ridiculously low price compared to the original. It’s clean and masculine, perfect for the veteran crowd. If you love that 70s/80s vibe, buy it without hesitation.

  • It reminds me a bit of Versace L’Homme, at least in that line. Maybe the opening isn’t as citrusy and is more spiced. The performance and longevity are very good; I was surprised. It’s vintage, very 80s. The drydown becomes soapy and talcum-like. I bought it in Argentina for almost 10 times less than Versace L’Homme (which isn’t cheap anyway). Very masculine and clean-smelling. It’s more for veterans than for young people. The price is spectacular for what it offers. If you like Versace L’Homme and that 70s/80s style of perfume, buy it blind.

  • A tender, warm, and comforting aroma that gives a baby-like sensation. My girlfriend loves it; once I wore it, she said it made her want to hug me. I love its talcum aura… At first, the aldehydes remind a lot of Old Spice and a soapy feeling, then it evolves into a Johnson’s baby oil style, and finally becomes talcum-like and warm. I love it.

  • It’s the only Avon fragrance I’ve bought solely because it’s vintage. Heavily musky with a distinct retro tone, straight from the old days. I agree with the previous review: it smells a lot like Versace L’Homme but without the characteristic lemon. It’s from the catalog, hyper-affordable (I got it for $5), but with good performance (5 hours have passed and I can still catch it in bursts). It lasts well close to the skin, even more than some pricier ones. Recommended only for vintage lovers; regarding cost and performance, it’s more than approved.

  • I bought one in 2011 and it was good; today, the quality has faded. Last time I used it in 2020, I had a quarter of a bottle left because I barely wore it; the scent is nearly imperceptible and longevity is non-existent, maxing out at 4 hours. It’s pleasant for mature but rebellious folks, ideal for formal events in the cold. Turns into a bad smell with sweat. Affordable price if you’re looking for discretion: in a closed room, only 1 out of 15 people will detect it.

  • I bought one in 2011 and it was great, but nowadays the quality has dropped. The last time I bought it was in 2020, and I still have 1/4 left because I hardly use it; the scent is imperceptible and the longevity is non-existent, maxing out at 4 hours. It’s pleasant for mature people with a rebellious personality. It could work for formal occasions. The best thing is to use it in cold weather, not hot, because sweat mixes with it and loses impact, turning into a bad smell. The price is accessible if you’re looking for a subtle cologne that only 1 out of 15 people in a closed room can detect. Then it’s your option.

  • master_parfum

It’s a clean musk with a barbershop vibe. Might seem old-fashioned or retro, but I absolutely love it. It’s not trendy in 2023 and might not suit everyone, so test it first. Works well in temperate or cold climates, ideal for guys 30+ and various occasions. Moderate sillage, lasts between 4 to 6 hours.

  • master_parfum

I’d define this as a clean musk, barbershop style. It might seem old-fashioned or retro to some, but I absolutely love it. It’s not what’s trendy in 2023, so it might not appeal to everyone—try it before buying. I see it for temperate or cold climates, for someone 30+, and for various situations. Moderate-to-low sillage with 4 to 6 hours of longevity.

  • naso_en_ciernes

It’s a very good scent that stands out from the usual offerings from this house. It has the vibe of its launch era: it’s not a light splash of cologne, but it has weight and personality. Those who have heard of several established fragrances and lovers of vintage will appreciate it. For the price, it gives more than it’s worth; you can even forgive its just-okay performance (there are worse options, and some perfumes are much more expensive).

  • I received it yesterday as a gift from a friend. As soon as I smelled it, it was delicious and instantly recognizable. It’s the same essence as Chanel No. 5. Since I love that perfume, I liked this one too. It tends to be unisex; I don’t find it very masculine, but it’s a great choice if you enjoy this type of notes.

  • legalmente abel

I wore it for a few months; it smells a bit like the 90s, but it adapts to any era. The opening is strong but settles down; however, the longevity is short, maxing out at about 2 hours. For the price, it seems perfect, but given my youthful taste, I wouldn’t buy it again.

  • Smells like pure childhood, the kind they used to wear to elementary school. Wearing it feels like traveling straight back to the 90s. It’s a spiced oriental profile, if you can describe it in modern terms. An absolute yes for adding to your collection.
