Close your eyes and imagine an elegant bar late in the afternoon or at night, surrounded by early 20th-century gentlemen chatting about current events while enjoying fine whiskey and cigars; that image and that scent are the essence of this fragrance. Upon the first application, you feel a burst of ripe, fresh citrus with a spicy kick of pepper that sets it apart, creating a spicy citrus opening for the first 10 minutes. Then, among the spices, it strongly reminds me of the classic Avon Mesmerize Blue. After 20 minutes, the spices mellow out, giving way to a semi-spicy, vanilla-infused cinnamon. By the one-hour mark, the initial citrus fades slightly, but the cinnamon remains strong, blending with light tobacco and bourbon-like alcoholic nuances. At this point, I’m reminded of two other Avon scents: the classic Segno and Black Suede Intense. I could even say it becomes an Absolute by Sensus (minus the smoky oud and the heavy leather of that other fragrance); for those who don’t know, outside of Hispanic America, Avon’s Sensus line is what they sell as Elite Gentleman or Exclusive. The heart notes, where the cinnamon joins that alcoholic tobacco, are an olfactory delight and last the entire lifespan of the bottle. For occasions, I’d wear it day, late afternoon, and night in winter; in autumn, for late afternoon and night. In spring, I’d also use it, but only for the evening. In summer, I don’t recommend it due to the hot, alcoholic, and spicy combination. Regarding longevity, six sprays lasted me 4 to 5 hours with moderate sillage and 1 to 2 hours of projection without issues. It’s undoubtedly a delicious fragrance for dates, formal gatherings, and semi-formal events, provided you take care of your clothes, as it gives you the presence of an early 20th-century lord. I believe anyone over 25 can wear it without problems.
Imagine an elegant bar late in the afternoon or at night, surrounded by early 20th-century gentlemen chatting while sipping bourbon and smoking cigars; that is the essence of this fragrance. Upon application, you feel a burst of ripe, almost fresh citrus with a spicy kick of pepper that defines it for the first 10 minutes. Then, the spices recall the classic Avon Mesmerize Blue, and after about 20 minutes, the semi-spicy, vanilla-infused cinnamon takes center stage. By the one-hour mark, the initial citrus fades, but the cinnamon blends with light tobacco and bourbon-like alcoholic notes, evoking Avon’s Segno and Black Suede Intense, or even Absolute by Sensus (minus the smoky oud and heavy leather). The heart notes of cinnamon and alcoholic tobacco are delicious and last the entire lifespan of the bottle. I’d wear it all day and night in winter, in the late afternoon and night in autumn, and only at night in spring. In summer, I don’t recommend it because it’s too hot and spicy. With six sprays, it lasts 4 to 5 hours, projecting for 1 to 2 hours. It’s perfect for dates and gatherings, giving you that early 20th-century lord vibe, ideal for anyone over 25.
I bought a cinnamon room spray at a Chinatown store—a simple glass bottle with no ingredient list—but the scent hooked me. Like any addict, I sprayed it five times after my shower, and my skin turned red and burned for a bit. The fragrance reminded me of that room spray and caught my attention. To me, the opening is a very spicy cinnamon, likely due to black pepper, with a hint of bergamot. Almost immediately, there’s a sweet note; I interpret it as amber, though I know tobacco can create that sensation. After about six hours, I detect vanilla right up against the skin. The weird part was that my skin projected it more than my clothes, as if the heat activated it. I liked it.
It’s the budget version of Mancera Red Tobacco, a brutal fragrance for the price. 10/10.
It’s the budget version of Mancera Red Tobacco, an absolute beast for the price. 10/10.
AVON BLACK SUEDE “HOT”: Excellent proposal from this house! They do things right even with limited budgets. It certainly reminds me of Mancera Red Tobacco, clarifying that they aren’t the same; Mancera’s quality is infinitely superior, but this Avon version becomes a worthy and honorable competitor. I wore it to dinner with my wife, and from the moment we got in the car, she started hinting that I’d bought another fragrance, but I didn’t say anything because it smells great. “How much did it cost?” she asked. Then, thinking she’d assume I’d spent a fortune on a designer scent, I told her $14, and obviously she didn’t believe me. So we made a bet: if I could prove what I actually paid, she would… (I’ll leave the rest to her imagination). So when I got home, I had to show her the receipt, and she lost a bet I collected in a somewhat pornographic way. Back to the topic: it’s a pleasant surprise full of cunning, full of desire to create fragrances that raise their hands asking for a bit of trust and attention from potential consumers. Believe me, they won’t disappoint. The opening isn’t very revealing; it feels like a strange combination of very spicy citrus that makes it a bit confusing and redundant; just wait for it to dry down. About 20 minutes in, the scent reveals itself and shows what it really is: simply a magnificent dry down. It is there that you fully appreciate that refined, powdery, velvety tobacco burst that captures the scene. It’s the evil twin of the already famous Mancera Red Tobacco. Warm, spicy aroma, especially for cold climates. I really liked it. Scent: 9.0. Projection: hovering around 2 hours. Longevity: 6 hours. Recommended.
I met it today at a physical Avon store here in Santiago, Chile. I expected something different, more potent. I even had a small hope that it would remind me of Xeryus Rouge, but it didn’t. It’s not that it’s bad; it’s that it smells very similar to the previous Black Suede flanker, Intense. They are very similar, maybe this Hot is a bit sweeter, but I don’t feel the tobacco it claims to have. I do feel the pepper, which is why it feels very similar to Intense, and if I had to choose one, I’d stick with Intense since it’s less sweet and its pepper feels better executed. But among the recent flankers, I’d choose Black Suede Dark, which finally offers something distinct: raw, noticeable leather with fruity hints. Very synthetic, but a bold and entertaining blend. In conclusion, this Hot is by no means a bad fragrance; it smells good, it’s warm, ideal for cold climates, perfect for dates or social gatherings.
AVON BLACK SUEDE ‘HOT’: An excellent Avon proposition that does things right on a tight budget. It reminds me of Mancera Red Tobacco; they aren’t identical—Mancera’s quality is superior—but this Avon version is a worthy and honorable competitor. Good fragrance, strong but pleasant opening that improves with time. It has similarities with some of its Black Suede siblings. It’s a good scent.
They gave it to me as a gift today. At first, there’s a strong tobacco note, in the style of Versace Dreamer, slightly sweet until a few minutes later when the pepper takes the lead. EDIT: it’s a version of Mancera Red Tobacco that, personally, lasts a long time on my skin and projects well. A sweet, beautiful tobacco aroma, and for the price, even better!
Right out of the bottle, it smells like incense and is intense; beyond the packaging, it’s red, fiery, inviting you to puff out your chest and project it forward. I love it. It adds a touch of sensuality that makes me feel desirable, but be careful not to overuse it, as it becomes dense and projects too much. For the price, it’s excellent, suitable for both day and night. I recommend it as a seductive spirit, perfect for going to the beach or the bar; it gives that empowering touch. Its projection lasts about 4-5 hours, after which it stays close to the skin.

I just received it and I can’t find the tobacco. It smells like a sweet, synthetic aroma very similar to Tito Bluni Leather Style. It’s an unbearable perfume that has nothing to do with Red Tobacco. Don’t waste your money on this.
I just received it, and I don’t know where the tobacco is. It smells like a very synthetic sweet scent, very much in the line of Titto Bluni Leather Style. It’s an unbearable fragrance that has nothing to do with Red Tobacco; don’t waste your money on this.
It’s a very good Avon perfume, spicy, citrusy, and tobacco-like. But watch out, it’s for cold weather because it’s overwhelming in the heat.

I’ve worn this scent for about six months and I’ll get straight to the point: right after applying, the opening is confusing and abrupt, like a supercharged citrus with pepper. Then, over time, the tobacco note appears, but that’s where the problem lies: the aroma is barely noticeable. The projection is so poor it lasts a maximum of an hour. I know it’s an EDT, but it seems very weak. Even with six sprays, people think I’m not wearing perfume. I absolutely do not recommend it. Some dare to compare it to Red Tobacco, which is absurd; this perfume isn’t even in the same shadow as that one.
I’ve been wearing this fragrance for half a year, so I’ll get straight to the point: upon application, the opening is somewhat confusing and abrupt, like a super-strong citrus with a present pepper note. Then it develops and expresses the tobacco, but here is the problem: the scent is almost imperceptible. The projection is so poor I’d rate it a maximum of 1 hour. I know it’s an EDT, but it still seems very weak. Furthermore, the dry-down is also poor, almost invisible; I can’t even smell it up close even after spraying it six times. I even asked people, and they thought I wasn’t wearing perfume. I absolutely do not recommend it. Some people take the liberty of comparing it to Red Tobacco, which seems absurd; this perfume isn’t even a shadow of Red Tobacco.
For the price, it’s a good perfume. Medium longevity, low projection; it stays close to the skin. 8/10.
Smells like Bentley for Men Intense.
