Pleasant, but the composition sounds familiar to me. The rose-patchouli combo reminds me of Victoria’s Spell and Luchino. Electric Kiss comes with a spicy kick from the rhubarb, and at the end, I detect something woody, probably the amberwood, which is the most different part for me. It smells good, pleasant, and has decent longevity, but it’s nothing new. Would I buy it? I don’t think so; I have other favorites on my list and something similar already… but if someone gifted it to me, I’d love to use it. It works for any season except hot summer days because it can be overwhelming (though I see it as wearable in small doses on summer nights). Among Cacharel’s new releases this year, it beats Yes I Am; it seems more sophisticated. Overall, I liked it. A great gift option.
I tested it on a blotter at Falabella. The opening came out very sour, acidic, and hard to describe. Long-lasting, grating, ‘all over the place’. I was expecting something else. It’s not dark or dense, but it definitely fits the idea of electricity; it gives a sensation of a lightning bolt that ‘energizes’ (or pierces, lol). I had to put it away to wait for the heart notes because I couldn’t handle that shrill opening. Unfortunately, that acidic-grating note lingered faintly throughout. Could it be the rose with patchouli? I didn’t like it much; it didn’t seem well-crafted. But I’ll give it a second chance on skin; maybe body heat will help…
Summer, pure summer. The rhubarb is an explosion at first sniff, fitting the name perfectly. Then it settles, revealing the classic, primal Amor Amor. I tested it before buying and fell in love all over again. Honestly, the longevity wasn’t great, so I opted to carry it since the dry-down is so similar. It’s perfect for daily wear, nothing invasive. It has this great dynamic of moving from something fresh and spicy due to the pepper to the sweetness of the rose. Good buy, especially at the price for the large size. I recommend testing it on skin. Greetings from Mendoza.
I tried it in-store and, even though I had just showered, the scent is still on my skin; it lasts about eight hours. Like others, I see it as a summer perfume: it feels like the original Love Love mixed with a hint of coconut, even though coconut isn’t listed in the ingredients. The patchouli has taken a backseat to the traditional notes. It has great sillage and is slightly intoxicating. Perfect for a wedding or a summer night party where sensuality rules. It’s a softer, fruitier version than the original.
This was the least impressive of the ones I tried. Citrus, floral, and a touch of fruit. It would work well on very hot days, but the longevity is poor; it was gone after an hour. The trail is also light. I’d recommend it for those who like fresh scents. Rating: 4/10.
I tried it in-store, and even after showering, there’s still scent on my skin! The longevity is about eight hours. To me, it feels like a summer perfume, like the original Amor Amor mixed with a bit of coconut. The patchouli has lost its prominence compared to the original. It has a nice trail, slightly intoxicating. Perfect for a wedding or a summer night party. A softer, fruitier alternative to the original.
It has a very spicy opening; it smells like everything all at once, so I guess the name Electric Kiss isn’t in vain. It was a gift—I never would have bought it myself. The longevity is decent; it smells like a ‘good perfume,’ but the scent is generic, nothing original. Still, it’s pleasant, not harsh or trying too hard to stand out.
I was gifted this and I like it; it has good longevity on me. I admit there’s a note (maybe the rhubarb) that makes me a bit dizzy, so I use a small amount. It’s nothing like summer, and it doesn’t resemble traditional Amor Amor at all.
I bought it again; it’s a delight. The opening is electric and sparkling, but as it dries down, it reminds me of the first Amor Amor from my youth. It lasts forever, and I can’t use too many sprays or I get dizzy; that’s what an EDT from back then is like. What a wonder to remember again…
