Descripción

Promesse by Cacharel is a fruity floral fragrance for women. Launched in 2005, this composition was created by Carlos Benaïm and Sophie Labbé. The top notes unfold a vibrant freshness with blackberry, mandarin, and bergamot; the heart reveals an elegant florality with orchid, jasmine, and violet; while the base notes offer a warm, sensual woody trail thanks to musk, sandalwood, cedar, and amber.

  • It got a bit monotonous for me, so I gave it away. It lacks character; there are less famous options that smell much better.

  • It bored me quickly, so I gave it away. It lacks personality; there are less famous perfumes that smell much better.

  • I absolutely loved this perfume! The scent doesn’t get overwhelming. What a shame you can’t find it in stores anymore…

  • I was gifted this years ago, right when it launched, without even hearing about it before. I liked the ad and the bottle, so I bought it. I still have some left. A little goes a long way, but too much becomes heavy and gives me a headache. Definitely not my style anymore now that I’m older, haha.

Soft and uncomplicated. I recommend it for people under 25, because every young person who asked me about the scent loved it. It has a sweet note that I like, but it’s not a cure-all.

  • What a great perfume! I don’t know why they discontinued it; people always thought it was amazing, and I was dying to find out its name. I really hope they bring it back!

  • I used it and it was one of my favorites. The floral and musky scent was soft and stayed beautifully on the skin. It smelled great because everyone I passed by told me I smelled good. It’s a shame they stopped making it.

  • I tried it and it became one of my favorite perfumes. The floral and powdery scent was soft and lingered beautifully on my skin. It smelled so good that people I passed by would tell me I smelled wonderful. I miss that they stopped making it.

  • I used it too. It was fresh, light, and pleasant for daily wear in spring; it was great.

I adored this perfume: fresh, delicate, and special. I don’t understand why they pulled it. What a shame, but Cacharel must know why. To me, it was a super beautiful scent, with a sparkling, youthful touch and great sillage. I remember it had a blackberry note… delicious.

I still have half a bottle left. I haven’t worn it in a while, but I’ll give it another chance. It’s a very youthful, citrus-floral scent with a slight acidic edge, strong and long-lasting thanks to being an EDT. It smells like innocence—the feeling of a mutual promise and declaration of love when you’re young and still believe in love, perhaps your first or second. It smells like young, innocent, pure, and faithful love, where that person is everything and there’s no room for jealousy or third parties, something that sadly almost doesn’t exist anymore. It smells like idealized love; it’s a fragrance that makes you feel that emotion and joy. It’s worth smelling. Even though they’ve discontinued it, they always do the same with the best fragrances.

I adored it: fresh, delicate, and special. I don’t understand why they pulled it, what a pity. Cacharel must know why. For me, it was a gorgeous, sparkling, youthful fragrance with great projection. I remember it had a blackberry note… delicious.

I’ve finally finished the bottle. I hope I never forget this fascinating scent, especially since it’s surely discontinued and I doubt I’ll find it online. Nothing compares to it. Promesse will never die; you’ll always remain in the memories of those who loved you.

  • I just managed to get a 30ml bottle with about 15ml remaining, since I didn’t want to pay the price without smelling it first, and I must say… I loved it. It’s a delicate and refined scent, very much my style, but I have to highlight the short longevity; on my skin, it barely lasts two hours. At least I got rid of the itch to try it. Cheers.

Ah! My perfume from 2005, the year I fell in love for the first time at 16. It was a gift from my parents; I think I used three bottles that year (I still keep the last one with a little liquid left and the body cream). It was a delicious scent, one of those that would still be relevant today, and I probably would still be using it. Fruity, tender, and youthful. The performance was a bit weak, but you forgive it for being so delicious.

This perfume was a gem; I don’t understand why they discontinued it. It was very soft yet intense at the same time; that aroma between blackberries, tangerine, and flowers was my favorite. I’ve tried to get my hands on it, but it’s impossible. They sell it on eBay for outrageous prices, and I’ve searched for its scent in other perfumes without finding anything even close. I love Cacharel, but I don’t get why they discontinue their hits. What a shame.

  • The first time I smelled it, I was captivated: sweet, fresh, soft, romantic, and clean. Back then, luxury perfumery was starting to gain ground over cheap colognes, and I was head over heels for Cacharel; this was my crown jewel. I managed to get a sample from Sephora for special occasions, but it was so expensive I could never afford the bottle. Over the years, I learned it was discontinued and now there’s no way to find it at a reasonable price. I don’t understand why they stopped making it; it had such staying power. I hope they bring it back like other brands did with their classics. If anyone has one in good condition or knows of a similar scent, please contact me.

  • Beautiful, fresh, and cheerful perfume with a youthful yet sophisticated touch. The blackberry note won my heart, reminding me of my previous Doubleje Eau Jeune. That masterpiece took me to a pine forest to pick blackberries and raspberries, but this one does it in a fresher, more elegant, and refined way. I have memories of applying it to my wrist while studying. Alongside Anaïs Anaïs, it was my favorite from Cacharel. If it ever returns, it will be a hit; for teenagers, it feels much less childish than Amor Amor.

I love it, I don’t understand why they discontinued it. It’s a fresh floral, super sweet, and spectacular. I need it. Please, bring it back.

A masterpiece. Sweet, fresh, then it leaves a lingering warmth I can’t quite identify… where I went, I left my mark with this perfume. I don’t understand why they discontinued it… what was the criteria?

  • Cami Beatriz

Girls, I spent a long time looking for a perfume similar to Promesse after it was discontinued, and my search led me to Dior’s Joy; they are incredibly similar. 100% recommended for anyone mourning the loss of our beloved Promesse.

  • Promesse by Cacharel, if I describe it briefly for myself: a candied violet with very noticeable raspberry accents and powdery musk touches. As always, they discontinue fragrances that convey diversity and originality. It feels very youthful, fun, and a bit original.

  • It was one of my first perfumes, back in my mid-teens… I remember falling in love with it the first time I smelled it, bought it, and it didn’t disappoint. I don’t understand why they discontinued it; it was sweet, very different, smelled like ‘strawberry’ but with class, violet or something similar. You could wear it day or night. If anyone knows of a similar perfume, please let me know.

Exquisite perfume. I’ve been wearing it since 11 AM and it’s still projecting like explosions. It’s exactly as I remember. It has a sharp edge, like it’s saying ‘hey, I’m here.’ It hits you like a bouquet of orchids in the face, with a touch of violet and a strong, sweet jasmine finish. If I had to define it in one word: cheeky or joyful.

  • What a delightful fragrance! What a shame it’s discontinued. I still have the bottle (with a few drops left to preserve its magic) and the pink leather pouch that came with the cream set. This would have been my signature scent without a doubt. Exquisite, long-lasting, with an incredible sillage. I’ll never forget it.

  • Absolute favorite, no competition. I still have the last little bit saved in the bottle. Does anyone know a dupe that’s similar? Please, I can’t get enough of this scent.
