  It smells like almonds to me, and I don’t think it’s worth paying that much for that. It’s quite linear, with everything revolving around nuts and candied fruits.

  Out of all the Armani Privés I’ve tried, this is the one I liked the least. You can tell it’s high quality, which makes sense for the price, but the scent just doesn’t work for me. It’s monolithic: you smell the whole blend without being able to distinguish individual notes, and it’s super linear, smelling the same from start to finish. It smells of natural, slightly acidic bitter almonds at first, then sweetens a bit. That’s it. I was shocked; I expected a spicy, sweet, earthy amber, but it’s nothing like that. It just smells of fresh but bitter almonds. Longevity is good, lasting over 9 hours, but the sillage is short and moderate from the start. Be careful not to overdo it, as it gets tiring because of how linear it is; better suited for cool climates and evening wear. Although it says unisex, for me it leans a bit feminine, but not too much. Very expensive and not recommended: there are better options at this price point, even within the same collection.

  Sells super vintage, like the purple one by Elisabeth Taylor. On my skin it dries down clingy. Since we just met, I’ll keep testing it out.
