The notes listed on the Giorgio Armani website aren’t what I smell here. The site says the main note is cassia flower with a touch of belambre; since I couldn’t find anything on that, I guessed it might be ‘bel ambre,’ something like beautiful amber. Well, now the fragrance has a rather peculiar aroma, both in its opening and later, though with less intensity, reminiscent of those rubber pants babies used to wear years ago, mixed with that rubbery scent combined with the talc they’d dust them with afterward. It doesn’t smell youthful to me; more like an older lady, an old-fashioned fragrance; I can picture my grandmother wearing it.
The notes listed on the Giorgio Armani page don’t match what I smell here. The website mentions that the main note is cassia flower with a touch of belambre; after searching and finding nothing, I figured it might be bel ambre, which would be something like beautiful amber.
Caught me off guard and I absolutely loved it, especially since I bought it blindly. It’s a soft scent, nothing harsh or annoying. The trail is moderate; I wore it today on a summer evening and it felt super comfortable. It wears with grace and charm. I detect floral notes, specifically violet, but the iris is almost absent, as if it’s missing. It sits very tenderly on the skin; I’d say it’s more feminine than the alternative. To repeat, it’s overly delicate. It’s a gem: powdery, calm, with no desire to overdo it. If you’re looking for something strong or loud, look elsewhere in this line because this isn’t it. It smells a bit like soap, but not any commercial soap—rather, a very floral one with subtle woody notes and a hint of berries or green, forest-like plants. If it were soap, it would be fine and highly sophisticated, perhaps suited for delicate skin. Since I put it on, I’ve been non-stop sniffing my arm… that’s just how enchanting this fragrance is.
